"Can you stop finishing my-"

"Sentences!"

"I was going to say 'Sandwiches', but you can stop finishing my sentences too."

"It's because we're mentally synchronised, that's why I always finish your," she paused as if looking for the word, "sentences."

"Thank goodness you said sentences. If you had said 'sandwiches' I would have been seriously worried." A pause. "Also, we are not mentally synchronised."

"Probably not, but that would be kinda cool."

"Your definition of cool is kinda worrying, rather."

"Whatever, you love me, so you're just going to have to bear with it."

"That I do, and you're lucky."

"If I'm so lucky, can you make me some more sandwiches?"

"Get up and do it yourself!"

"But you love me!"

"And you're just lazy!"

"Fiiiiine. But let the note be made that you are no fun!"

"Please, I'm the funniest person you know!"

"I beg to differ, I am the funniest person I know."

"You're not funny, Rose. You're crazy."

"I'm not crazy."

"Yes you are, now go and make yourself a sandwich."

"I will, and I'll be sure not to make one for you!"

"Just watch the door!"

She unfortunately ran straight into it, again. "Ugh! Merlin' soggy underpants! I swear, all my life has been a series of doors in my face!"

"I thought that had something to do with the fact that Lily cursed all the doors to close right in front of you after you stained her favourite blouse?"

"That probably helped, but you know I'm really clumsy."

"No kidding, you even bumped into me."

"'Bumped' is lightly putting it. I fell so hard I broke my wrist."

"Yes, thank goodness you were with Fiona Longbottom at that moment, and she fixed it."

"Fiona Longbottom is a blessing to this Earth."

"You are a blessing to this Earth."

"Aww, that's so sweet. BUT I am still not making you a sandwich."

"Please?"

"No!"

"But you finished mine!"

"God, how did this turn from me asking you to make me sandwiches to the other way round?"

"Magic."

"You know I hate it when you say 'magic' as an excuse for anything! You manipulated the conversation!"

"Possibly."

"Ugh, I hate you!"

"No, you love me." He flicked his wand, and the door opened right before she could walk into it again. "See, Love is an open door!"

"That is so sappy, I can't even begin to believe you said that." Her voice came out of the kitchen.

"You should see what Albus has been reading at the moment, it's started to rub off on me."

"Oh, about that, I always get the impression you are more at hi than at your own house!"

"Hey, he's my best friend!"

"Mine too, and yet you don't find me going off to his place all the time!"

"Fine. Maybe I go there often, but he recently bought a chocolate fondue."

"ALBUS BOUGHT A CHOCOLATE FONDUE?"

"Yeah, he figured he was living his best life and had to do all the things he never thought he'd do."

"AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME! We need to go to Albus' right now!"

"What about staying at home, the place you call your own?"

"I'm still not making you a sandwich if that's what all this is about!"

She came back to the sofa, with a plate and two sandwiches in them.

"I knew you would make me one!"

"That's because I really wanted to finish the butter, not because I wanted to make you one."

"Keep telling yourself that."

"Maybe I will."

"Ugh, you annoy me."

"You too. But I love you."

"I love you too!"

"As Albus would say right now: 'We were meant to be'!"

"Oh my god, what has he been reading?"

"You don't want to know. But let's forget about Albus."

"And his chocolate fondue, I can't believe you didn't tell me."

"As I was saying, let's just have an evening together."

"Just me, with you."

"With you."

A pause. Then: "Can I say something crazy?"

"Oh my god, here we go again!"

"Hey!"
