-Betrayal-

-Year X784-

The air crackled with tension as Lucy's voice sliced through the silence, her accusation like a lightning bolt striking the heart of the guild. "Natsu, how could you!?" Her voice trembled, but it carried the weight of disbelief and betrayal, sending shockwaves through the Fairy Tail guild hall.

Natsu stood frozen, his onyx eyes wide with confusion. His fists clenched at his sides, the familiar heat of his fire magic crackling faintly around him, though he suppressed it. "What do you mean, Lucy?" he asked, bewilderment in his tone. "I swear, I haven't done anything!"

Across the room, Gray and Erza exchanged tense glances, their faces shadowed with uncertainty. Nearby, Romeo and the Strauss siblings—Lisanna, Mirajane, and Elfman—stood in stunned silence. All eyes in the guild were now fixed on Natsu, their curiosity turning into unease.

Lucy's eyes were burning with frustration as she stepped forward, her hands trembling as she held up a newspaper. "How can you stand there and lie to my face?" she hissed, her voice cracking. "This," she thrust the paper at Natsu, "this says otherwise."

Natsu's brow furrowed in disbelief as he took the newspaper from her hands, his eyes quickly scanning the headlines. It was worse than he expected. The accusations were damning: a town ravaged by fire, innocent lives lost, the blame placed squarely on a fire mage.

"I… I didn't do this!" Natsu's voice was hoarse, full of raw emotion as he looked around the guild, seeking anyone who would believe him. His words echoed off the walls, but they did little to sway the growing suspicion in the room.

Wendy, her eyes wide with concern, quickly stepped forward, followed by Gajeel, who stood beside her like a silent pillar of strength. "Lucy-san, Natsu-san couldn't have done this!" Wendy pleaded, her voice soft but insistent. "We were with him. All of us were together during that time. He didn't hurt anyone."

"Aye!" Happy chimed in from Natsu's shoulder, his blue Exceed ears drooping as he stood by his partner. "Natsu would never destroy a town like that! We swear it!"

But Lucy's resolve didn't falter. She turned her gaze toward Wendy and Gajeel, her voice sharp and unforgiving. "Don't think you two are off the hook! People say they saw victims ripped apart by Sky Magic. Others crucified by metal—"

"Oi!" Gajeel's voice cut through the air, his expression hardening. "You're accusing us too? We didn't lay a hand on anyone! We don't go around killing people!"

Carla, Wendy's white Exceed companion, floated beside her with a stern expression. "Wendy would never harm a soul! I've been by her side every step of the way, and I can assure you she's done nothing wrong." Carla's voice carried a sense of nobility and loyalty, her protective nature shining through.

Panther Lily, the large, dark-furred Exceed, crossed his arms, his expression unreadable but his loyalty clear. "Gajeel may be rough around the edges," Panther Lily growled, his voice deep, "but he would never commit murder. I would stake my honor as a warrior on it."

Wendy shook her head, tears brimming in her eyes. "We wouldn't! We didn't do anything wrong, Lucy, please believe us!"

Natsu's patience was wearing thin. The fire inside him, both literal and metaphorical, flared as he snapped. "Don't drag Wendy or Gajeel into this!" His voice was fierce, protective. "They're innocent. We all are! You know it, Lucy!"

Gray, however, wasn't convinced. He stepped forward, his arms crossed over his chest, his expression unreadable. "Come on, Flame-brain," he said, his voice laced with cold skepticism. "You've gotta admit, it looks bad. You expect us to believe you had nothing to do with this?"

Erza, usually the calm voice of reason, looked torn. She took a step toward Natsu but didn't speak. Her eyes betrayed a deep inner conflict, torn between her loyalty to her guildmates and the weight of the accusations.

Gray's voice hardened as he closed in on Natsu. "If you confess now, we can still help. Don't make this harder than it needs to be."

For a moment, Natsu hesitated. His fiery temper warred with the instinct to fight back. He wanted to scream, to let the flames inside him roar to life and burn away the doubt that surrounded him. But deep down, he knew fighting would only make things worse.

Wendy, sensing his inner turmoil, placed a gentle hand on his arm. "Natsu-san," she said softly, her voice a calming presence amidst the storm, "we stand with you."

Gajeel stepped forward, his dark eyes narrowing. "We've been through hell together, Salamander. Ain't no way we're letting these bastards pin this on us."

Happy, ever loyal, nodded firmly. "Aye, sir!"

Panther Lily uncrossed his arms and gave a curt nod. "As long as I draw breath, I will protect Gajeel and uphold his honor."

Carla, her gaze steady, stood by Wendy's side. "I'll do the same for Wendy. There's no force in this world that will shake my trust in her."

It was then that the booming voice of Makarov rang out, cutting through the tension like a sword. "Enough!" The old man's powerful presence commanded attention as he walked toward the group, his expression somber. "Natsu," he said, his eyes searching his adopted son's face, "tell me the truth. I need to hear it from you."

Natsu met Makarov's gaze, his fiery eyes filled with a rare vulnerability. "Master, I swear we didn't do it," he said, his voice steady but desperate. "I would never kill anyone. Neither would Gajeel or Wendy. They're accusing us of something we'd never do."

The room fell silent as Natsu's confession hung in the air. Even those who had doubted him couldn't deny the sincerity in his voice. Gajeel's expression was fierce, unyielding, while Wendy's was filled with quiet determination.

Makarov looked between the three Dragon Slayers, his heart heavy with the weight of the situation. The Council had evidence, but Natsu's words, as well as the loyalty of his comrades, tugged at the old man's heart.

Natsu's hands shook as he produced evidence he believed would clear his name, it was pictures of that day the mission was done and completed by him and his fellow slayers. Surely the pictures present would be an extra alibi for their case. His heart heavy with the weight of betrayal. But as Makarov examined the damning photos, his expression darkened, the truth too bitter to ignore. The pictures when Makarov held and looked upon them told a different story then what Natsu had explained. the destruction, the calamity, and the bloodshed showed the slayers having looks delighted in evil and chaos.

The weight of Makarov's words crashed down on the guild hall like a hammer, reverberating in the silence that followed. His voice was thick with sorrow, as if every word wounded him deeply, yet his decision was final. "By my authority as Master of Fairy Tail, I hereby banish you, Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel. You three are no longer welcome here."

The silence that followed was deafening. It was as if time had frozen, the air thick with disbelief. Natsu's wide eyes reflected his confusion and shock, his fists trembling at his sides. The weight of the word "banishment" settled heavily on his heart.

"Master… please, don't do this." Wendy's soft voice broke through the stillness, fragile and full of desperation. Tears welled in her eyes, her small frame trembling as she looked to Makarov, pleading for understanding. "We didn't do anything wrong!"

Carla fluttered by her side, her eyes filled with anger and disbelief. "This is outrageous! Wendy has done nothing to deserve this! None of us have!"

Natsu stepped forward, his voice hardening with disbelief. "I thought we were family." His fists clenched tighter, trying to keep his anger at bay. "Family doesn't turn their back on you when things get tough. This… this isn't right!"

Makarov's expression was strained, his heart clearly torn by his own decision, but his gaze remained firm. "Family doesn't cause internal wounds, Natsu," he said, his voice hoarse. "Family doesn't hurt its own from within. The evidence against you, Gajeel, and Wendy is undeniable in the Council's eyes. You're outsiders now... there's no place for you in Fairy Tail."

Natsu recoiled at the words, as if struck. Outsiders. After everything they'd been through, every fight, every victory—they were now considered strangers, expelled from the place they called home. His heart twisted with pain, but he held his head high, defiant.

Wendy's sobs broke the tension, and she shook her head in disbelief. "But we didn't do it! We didn't… how can you believe this?" Her voice was choked with tears, her innocence clear for all to see.

Gajeel, who had remained silent through the confrontation, stepped forward, his expression a mixture of rage and betrayal. "So that's it, huh?" His tone was rough, filled with contempt. "You're just gonna throw us away? After everything we've done for this guild? We bled for this place! and now you are treating us like trash on the side of the road." He pointed an accusatory finger at the members who had once been his comrades.

Panther Lily, ever loyal, stepped up beside Gajeel, his voice steady and filled with conviction. "Master, you know Gajeel would never commit these crimes. You know him better than this!" His large frame seemed to tower over the room as his words rang out.

The guild members looked on, torn between loyalty to their friends and the harsh reality of the accusations hanging over them.

Makarov's face twisted in pain, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears, but he couldn't relent. "I don't want to believe it either… but the evidence is clear as day. There is nothing more i can do. the Magic Council is already on your trail. If I don't make this decision, the entire guild will be at risk. The accusations… the devastation… I have no choice."

"You always have a choice, old man, you taught us that there is always a way." Gajeel growled, his anger barely contained.

Natsu's fiery temper flared, his voice rising. "Don't you get it? We didn't kill anyone! We're innocent! I would never hurt innocent people!" His words carried the weight of his fury and his loyalty to his friends.

Makarov winced, his voice cracking under the strain of his own decision. "The Council has made up their minds, Natsu. It's either you three, or the guild." His voice lowered, filled with regret. "This is the only way to protect what remains of our family. And l will not let any more harm and distress befall my guild and children."

Wendy's voice was barely above a whisper, her heart shattered. "We are your family…"

Carla wrapped a protective wing around Wendy, glaring at the members of the guild who couldn't meet her gaze. "This is unforgivable. We've stood by Fairy Tail through everything, and now this?"

Gajeel's rage boiled over. "We've fought tooth and nail for this guild, and now you're turning your backs on us over some dumb accusations, stuff that never happened? Unbelievable, but you know what, Fine. We don't need any of you." His voice was a low growl, but the pain in his eyes was undeniable.

Panther Lily placed a steadying hand on Gajeel's shoulder. "We will leave, but know that this is a mistake. A grave mistake."

Natsu turned to Wendy and Gajeel, his voice full of resolve despite the betrayal they were facing. "Let's go. We don't need them. We've always been better off on our own."

Wendy wiped her tears away, trying to stay strong. "But Natsu… what do we do now?"

Natsu clenched his fists, his voice steely and determined. "We'll make our own way. We'll clear our names, and we'll show them the truth. We'll prove everyone wrong"

Happy fluttered beside Natsu, his eyes misty but filled with loyalty. "Aye, We're with you, Natsu! Wherever you go, we go!"

"Yes, we will not stop until your names are cleared!" Carla echoed, standing firmly by Wendy's side.

Gajeel huffed, his jaw clenched in frustration. "We'll show them what they lost."

As the trio of Dragon Slayers and their Exceeds turned to leave, Makarov's voice cut through the silence, hard and final. "Leave and never come back. You are no longer welcome here."

The weight of his words hung in the air like a death sentence, and Natsu stopped in his tracks. His heart pounded, fury and disbelief boiling inside him. Slowly, he turned his head to glance back at the man he once saw as family, as a father figure.

"Dragons Slayers like us… we never forget," Natsu said, his voice low and dangerous, his eyes filled with pain and rage. "We'll remember this betrayal for the rest of our lives. The treachery of turning your back on those who fought for you… it won't be forgotten."

Wendy, wiping away her tears, managed to look back at the guild one last time, her young heart shattered but her resolve hardening alongside Natsu's. "We won't forget," she whispered, barely able to contain the emotion in her voice.

Gajeel grunted, his anger barely contained as he glared back at the guild. "You just made the biggest mistake of your lives."

Without another word, Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel walked out, their Exceeds following close behind, leaving the guild behind them for good. The heavy doors of Fairy Tail shut with a cold finality, sealing the fate of the bonds that had been broken.

As the trio vanished into the streets of Magnolia, Makarov stood in the shadowed doorway, his heart heavy with the consequences of his choice. There would be no going back.

And with that, they were gone, stepping out into the world as outsiders, their bond unbroken even as the guild's doors closed behind them. The guild hall remained silent, a heavy tension lingering in the air, the once-strong ties of family now frayed by mistrust and accusations.

Fairy Tail faced an uncertain future, but Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel knew one thing for sure—they would fight to clear their names, no matter the cost.

-In the meantime-

A few hours had passed since the dramatic expulsion of Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy, and despite the recent turmoil, the Fairy Tail guild hall buzzed with renewed energy and anticipation. The focus now was on the upcoming S-Class exams, and the atmosphere was electric with excitement. Makarov, standing at the front of the room, was about to deliver an important announcement.

"Attention, everyone!" Makarov's authoritative voice cut through the murmur of conversation, drawing the guild members' attention. "I'm here to provide you with the details for the upcoming S-Class exams."

The room fell silent, the air thick with anticipation. Makarov continued, "The exams will be held on Tenrou Island, the Holy Grounds of Fairy Tail. This location is steeped in our guild's history and will be the stage for proving your abilities."

A wave of excitement rippled through the hall. Tenrou Island was a place of deep significance, and the thought of competing there thrilled the guild members.

"The exams are scheduled to take place in one week," Makarov added. "During this time, you'll need to prepare and select your partners. Remember, the exams will test not only your individual strength but also your ability to work as a team."

As soon as Makarov finished speaking, the selected participants—Gray, Juvia, Elfman, Freed, Levy, Bickslow, and Mest—began to buzz with energy. Each of them was eager to prove themselves and possibly be chosen as the next S-Class mage.

Gray, his eyes burning with determination, clenched his fists. "This is it! I'm finally going to have the chance to show what I'm made of."

Juvia, although surprised at being chosen to participate despite only being in the guild for a short time nodded with an air acceptance. "Juvia will do her best to pass the exams."

Elfman, his muscles tensed with enthusiasm, grinned widely. "I'm pumped! This is the moment to shine and prove my strength!"

Freed, always focused and strategic, looked thoughtful but excited. "We need to make the most of this opportunity. This will be a true test of our abilities and teamwork."

Levy, her face lit up with a bright smile, said, "I'm really looking forward to it. This will be a fantastic chance for me to show what i can do."

Bickslow, with his usual energy and enthusiasm, cheered, "I'm ready for this challenge! my babies are ready to go wild!"

Mest, with a determined look, added, "We've got a week to prepare. It's best for everyone use it wisely and be ready for whatever the exams throw at us."

While Cana remained focused and serious, the rest of the guild members were energized by the prospect of the S-Class exams. The excitement and camaraderie among them were palpable, and despite the recent upheavals, their spirits were high.

Makarov observed the scene with a mix of pride and concern. The S-Class exams were a crucial test for the guild, and he knew that each member had the potential to rise to the challenge. With Tenrou Island as the stage and a week of preparation ahead, Fairy Tail was poised to face the trials with strength and unity.

As the guild members began making plans and choosing their partners, Makarov retreated to his office to finalize the preparations. The weight of his responsibilities was heavy, but he was determined to ensure that Fairy Tail would meet the challenge head-on.

With the excitement of the exams driving them forward, Fairy Tail's members were ready to prove their worth and uphold the legacy of their guild. The journey to becoming the next S-Class mage had begun, and the anticipation was palpable.

-In the outskirts of Magnolia-

Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy stood on the outskirts of Magnolia, their figures silhouetted against the fading light of dusk. The air crackled with anticipation as they prepared to embark on a journey into the unknown, leaving behind the familiar comforts of their past lives.

As Natsu emerged from his humble abode, a flicker of determination danced in his eyes, his heart heavy with the weight of their decision. He clutched his travel supplies tightly, a tangible reminder of the bonds they were about to sever. Wendy, her expression a mixture of resolve and apprehension, stood by his side, her loyal companion Carla hovering close by.

Gajeel, his demeanor stoic yet resolute, bore the weight of their collective burden with quiet strength. With Lily at his side and his trusty sword in hand, he exuded an aura of unwavering determination, ready to face whatever trials awaited them on their journey.

"Are we really leaving for good, Natsu-san?" Wendy's voice trembled with uncertainty, her gaze searching his for reassurance amidst the swirling currents of doubt.

Natsu met her eyes with a steely resolve, his voice firm as he affirmed their course of action. "Yeah, we have to. There's no turning back now. Fairy Tail has turned its back on us, branded us as criminals. If we return, we'll only be met with scorn and hate. It's time to forge our own path, to find a new guild where we can belong."

His words hung heavy in the air, echoing the solemn truth of their reality. They were no longer welcome in the place they once called home, their ties to Fairy Tail severed by the harsh sting of betrayal.

With a flick of his wrist, Natsu conjured a ball of flame, sending it towards his small house—a symbol of countless memories and years of his life. As the fire roared to life, engulfing the structure in its fierce embrace, Natsu's heart tightened. Each crackle and pop of the burning wood seemed to echo the moments of his past, now being reduced to ashes.

Standing nearby, Wendy's eyes were filled with concern. She watched the flames dance and flicker, casting an orange glow across her face. "Natsu-san, are you sure about this?" Her voice wavered, the weight of their shared history evident in her tone. "Your home... it holds so many memories."

Natsu turned to her, his eyes reflecting the fierce light of the fire. He managed a reassuring smile, though it didn't fully reach his eyes. "I know, Wendy. I know how much it means. But this... this is how we move on."

As the fire grew, Natsu's thoughts swirled with the inferno. Memories began to flash before his eyes—his first steps into the house, the joy of his early days there, the laughter shared with friends, the quiet moments of solitude. Each cherished item, each memento of his journey, was being consumed by the relentless flames. The little trinkets that told stories of his adventures, the sketches of his dreams, and the gifts from friends—all turned to ash in mere minutes.

Happy, perched on Natsu's shoulder, watched with wide eyes. His usual cheerful demeanor was overshadowed by the somber scene. "Aye... it's hard to see it go like this," he murmured, his voice carrying a tinge of sadness.

Carla, standing beside Wendy, looked on with a thoughtful expression. "Sometimes, letting go is the only way to truly move forward," she said softly. "But it's never easy."

Panther Lily, standing next to Happy, clenched his fists. His tough exterior softened as he saw the destruction. "You've always had a way of doing things your own way, Natsu. But... this is something else."

Natsu watched the flames with a mixture of resolve and sorrow. The fire crackled louder, and as it consumed the last of the structure, Natsu's expression grew more resolute. "This is about closing one chapter so we can begin a new one. The memories we hold dear will always be with us, but holding onto the past won't let us move forward."

The fire blazed brighter, illuminating their faces with a somber glow. Wendy, Gajeel, and the Exceeds stood beside Natsu, each of them reflecting on their own pasts as they watched the flames destroy what had once been a cornerstone of Natsu's life.

As the final embers died down, Natsu took a deep breath. The house was no more, just a smoldering ruin, but its memories were etched in his heart forever. He turned to his friends, his gaze steady. "We have to keep moving forward. Together."

Wendy nodded, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Together," she echoed softly.

The group stood in silence, united by the shared experience of watching the past go up in flames, yet bound by the promise of forging a new future.

With a shared glance, they turned their gaze toward the horizon, their hearts heavy with the weight of their decision yet buoyed by the promise of new beginnings.

Together, they stood on the threshold of a new chapter, their destinies intertwined by the bonds of friendship and shared adversity. As they embarked on their journey into the unknown, they carried with them the indomitable spirit of a Dragon Slayer, a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.

In the distance, the silhouette of Magnolia faded into the twilight, a poignant reminder of the lives they were leaving behind. Yet, amid the bittersweet farewell, a spark of determination ignited within their hearts, lighting the path toward an uncertain future.

With each step forward, they embraced the promise of adventure, their spirits ablaze with the fire of determination. For Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy, the journey had only just begun, and with each passing moment, they welcomed the challenges that lay ahead.

As they disappeared into the gathering shadows, their figures silhouetted against the fading light, they carried with them the legacy of Dragon Slayer, a way to the enduring strength of those who dared to defy the odds.

And so, beneath the vast expanse of the open sky, they walked, their footsteps echoing the rhythm of a tale yet untold. For in the heart of every adventure lies the seed of transformation, a journey that transcends the boundaries of time and space.

Together, they ventured forth into the unknown, their destinies intertwined like the threads of fate. And as they disappeared into the night, they embraced the promise of a new dawn, where the bonds of friendship would light their way through the darkest of nights.

- A couple of days later in a Forest, miles from civilization-

Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel traversed the dense forest, their footsteps echoing amidst towering trees. As the sun dipped below the canopy, they sought shelter, guided by instincts honed by their draconic spirits . Yet, amidst the wilderness, uncertainty lurked, veiled by the vast expanse of foliage.

Wendy trailed Natsu, her steps hesitant, the shadows whispering their secrets. Gajeel strode with purpose, his presence a stalwart shield against the unknown. Happy flitted ahead, his keen eyes scanning for refuge, while Carla hovered close to Wendy, a silent guardian in the gathering dusk.

Natsu paused, his senses tingling with the faint scent of water. Wendy and Gajeel, attuned to his instincts, followed the trail, their anticipation mounting with each step. The river emerged, a ribbon of silver cutting through the forest's heart, its crystalline waters promising respite from the wilderness's embrace.

They settled by the riverside, the tranquility of the moment shattered by Natsu's vigilance. Across the water, hidden eyes observed their sanctuary, stirring a sense of unease within Natsu's heart.

Natsu sniffed the air, his keen senses catching a faint but distinct scent. "There's water nearby. Let's follow the scent."

Wendy looked around nervously, her brow furrowing with concern. "Do you think it's safe, Natsu-san?"

Gajeel, ever practical, shrugged with a gruff tone. "If it's water, it's better than wandering around thirsty. Let's move."

Happy, perched on Natsu's shoulder, fluttered his wings impatiently. "I hope we find something soon. I'm starving!"

Carla, her white fur shimmering in the dim light, turned to Wendy with a reassuring smile. "Stay close, Wendy. We'll be fine."

As the group pushed through the dense underbrush, Natsu's senses grew sharper. He suddenly stopped, his nose twitching as he caught a stronger whiff of the fresh, earthy aroma. "I can smell it more clearly now. We're close."

Wendy let out a relieved sigh, her shoulders relaxing slightly. "Thank goodness. I was starting to get worried."

Gajeel, leading the way with his usual brusqueness, made a beeline for the water. The moment he found a small stream, he splashed water on his face, the coolness bringing visible relief. "Ah, finally. This feels amazing."

Natsu, however, remained on high alert. His eyes scanned the surrounding foliage with sharp intensity. "Wait a second," he said, his voice dropping to a low murmur. "Someone's watching us."

From behind the thick foliage, three young figures emerged. Sting and Rogue, both around twelve years old and looking much like younger versions of themselves, stepped cautiously into view. Their faces were a mix of curiosity and caution. Sting's golden hair was tousled and his eyes held a wary gleam. Rogue, with his dark hair and solemn expression, moved closely beside him.

Trailing behind them was Chelia, no older than eight, her small frame and wide, innocent eyes contrasting with the older boys. She clutched a small, tattered doll in one hand, her expression a blend of apprehension and apology. "I-I'm sorry for intruding..." she stammered.

Natsu's curiosity was piqued. His gaze shifted from Chelia to Sting and Rogue, taking in their young faces and weary, travel-worn appearances. The tension in the air seemed to ease as Natsu approached them, his own eyes reflecting a mix of caution and genuine interest. The water babbled gently behind him, a soothing backdrop to the unexpected encounter.

Wendy, still close to Natsu, watched the exchange with a mixture of relief and concern, while Happy and Carla hovered nearby, their expressions a blend of apprehension and hope. The young trio seemed to have their own story, and the encounter with them offered a moment of unexpected connection amidst their own journey.

"Who are you three, and what brings you to this forsaken place?" Natsu inquired, his voice carrying a blend of concern and intrigue. Sting, his expression tinged with urgency, stepped forward to respond. "We're on the run. Chased by Rune Knights," he explained, his voice weighted with the gravity of their situation.

Rouge, his demeanor stoic yet troubled, added, "We barely escaped."

Chelia, her voice soft and apologetic, nodded in agreement. "We got lost in the forest," she admitted, her eyes reflecting the weariness of their journey. Wendy, her empathy shining through, offered words of solace. "That sounds terrible," she remarked, her voice laced with genuine concern.

Natsu, sensing a shared bond amidst their tales of hardship, revealed their struggles. "We've had our share of trouble too. We were chased out of our guild," he confessed, his tone tinged with a mixture of bitterness and resilience. Sting's surprise was palpable as he absorbed Natsu's revelation. "Really? That's rough," he responded, his voice tinged with empathy.

Rouge, his gaze unwavering, sought further clarity. "What happened?" he inquired, his tone edged with curiosity.

Gajeel, his voice gruff and unwavering, recounted their betrayal. "Our so-called friends and guild turned against us," he declared, his words carrying the weight of betrayal. Chelia, her expression mirroring their sorrow, offered words of empathy. "That's awful," she murmured, her voice tinged with sympathy.

Natsu, ever resilient, affirmed their newfound camaraderie. "But we're sticking together. We're wandering mages now," he declared, his tone resolute yet hopeful.

Sting, recognizing the value of unity in their shared plight, pondered the possibility of solidarity. "Maybe we could stick together too..." he mused, his voice tinged with cautious optimism.

Rouge, his stoic facade softening, nodded in agreement. "It's safer in numbers," he acknowledged, his tone reflecting a newfound sense of trust.

Chelia, her timidity overshadowed by hope, tentatively sought their acceptance. "Could we?" she asked, her voice trembling with uncertainty. Natsu, his smile warm and inviting, extended a hand of friendship. "Of course. The more, the merrier," he affirmed, his words carrying the promise of solidarity.

Wendy, her kindness a beacon of light in the darkness, offered reassurance. "We'll take care of each other," she promised, her voice brimming with sincerity. Gajeel, begrudging yet loyal, issued a cautionary reminder. "Just don't slow us down," he grumbled, his words tempered by a sense of protectiveness.

Sting, his gratitude palpable, expressed heartfelt thanks. "Thank you. We won't forget this," he vowed, his voice tinged with appreciation.

Rouge, his resolve unwavering, rallied their spirits. "Let's go then. Together," he declared, his words echoing with determination. Chelia, her smile radiant with newfound hope, expressed her gratitude. "Thank you, everyone," she murmured, her voice filled with quiet sincerity.

Natsu, his gaze alight with determination, rallied his companions for the journey ahead. "Alright, let's get going. We've got a long journey ahead," he declared, his voice filled with unwavering resolve. Wendy, her determination unwavering, affirmed their shared purpose. "We'll make it through together," she declared, her voice ringing with conviction.

Happy, his excitement contagious, cheered them onward. "Onward to new adventures!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with boundless enthusiasm. Carla, her wisdom a guiding light in their darkest moments, offered a final word of caution. "Stay vigilant, everyone. The journey won't be easy," she reminded them, her voice infused with quiet resolve.

.

.

.

The night was quiet, save for the soft crackling of the campfire that flickered in the center of their camp. Natsu, Wendy, Gajeel, Sting, Rogue, Chelia, and their Exceeds—Happy, Carla, Panther Lily, Lector, and Frosch—sat around it, the tension in the air almost palpable. For two months, they had been traveling together, their journey marked by trials and the weight of their shared pasts. Yet, through it all, they had found a fragile bond in their mutual search for belonging—a place that might finally accept them without judgment. They had heard rumors of *Draco Fang*, a guild in Hearth City, and it had sparked a faint hope in all of them.

As the firelight danced in their eyes, it was Wendy who first broke the silence, her soft voice carrying a weight of unspoken pain. "We never talked much about why we left Fairy Tail… or, rather, why we were forced to leave."

Natsu, sitting cross-legged near the fire, stared into the flames, his jaw tightening. Gajeel remained silent but shifted slightly, the memories clearly stirring within him as well. Wendy's eyes darted nervously between them, unsure how much to reveal.

"I suppose now's as good a time as any," Gajeel grunted, his voice gruff but tinged with regret.

Sting, Rogue, and Chelia exchanged glances, sensing the gravity of what was about to be said. They had their own dark histories, but they had yet to fully understand the depths of what Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel had gone through.

"It wasn't just about the accusations," Natsu said finally, his voice low and edged with bitterness. "We were banished from Fairy Tail… for murder."

Chelia gasped, her eyes wide with shock. "Murder? But you… none of you would…"

"We didn't," Wendy said quietly, her hands trembling slightly in her lap. "They accused us of a crime we didn't commit. They said we killed people—innocent people—using our dragon slayer magic. There were bodies… and they claimed the evidence pointed to us."

"Ridiculous," Panther Lily growled, his deep voice echoing the anger that simmered within them all. "They knew you. They knew your hearts. How could they believe such lies?"

Gajeel clenched his fists, his voice tight with rage. "Because they were scared. Dragon slayer magic… it's powerful. It's dangerous. They saw the damage we could do in battle, and it didn't take much for them to turn on us when something went wrong."

Sting, who had been listening intently, shook his head in disbelief. "They blamed you for something you didn't do, threw you out, and never looked back?"

"Exactly," Natsu muttered, the firelight reflecting in his eyes. "No trial. No real investigation. Just accusations… and fear. They didn't care about the truth. They just wanted us gone."

Wendy's voice was soft but filled with pain. "They said we were too dangerous to be in the guild… that our magic made us a threat."

The air grew heavy as the weight of their shared past hung over them like a storm cloud. The Exceeds shifted uncomfortably, their usual lighthearted banter absent in the face of such dark memories.

But Sting, Rogue, and Chelia had their own story to tell. And they knew it was time.

"We were running too," Sting began, his voice somber. "Not from accusations of murder, but from something just as ridiculous. The Rune Knights were after us… for theft."

"Theft?" Gajeel raised an eyebrow, incredulous. "You don't seem the type."

"We aren't," Rogue said quietly, his voice steady but filled with frustration. "They said we were involved in a series of petty crimes—stealing from shops, breaking into warehouses. But we never did any of that."

Chelia, her normally cheerful expression now grim, added, "They were chasing us like we were hardened criminals. But the stuff they accused us of… it was minor. Things kids our age wouldn't even think of doing. It was ridiculous."

Lector, sitting beside Sting, puffed up his tiny chest, his voice indignant. "We weren't thieves! We were trying to help people! But the Rune Knights didn't care—they just wanted someone to blame."

"They started accusing us of things we didn't even know about," Frosch chimed in softly, his voice filled with sadness. "They said we were dangerous… just because of the magic we use."

Sting sighed, running a hand through his blond hair. "And it wasn't just us. The Rune Knights have been cracking down on anyone with magic they can't control. We've seen them go after kids—small kids—just because they showed a bit of power."

"They're scared of what they don't understand," Chelia murmured, her eyes distant as she remembered the chaos of their flight from the Rune Knights. "And that fear makes them do horrible things."

Natsu nodded slowly, his gaze still fixed on the fire. "It's the same story, over and over again. People fear what they can't control. And when they're scared enough, they'll do anything to protect themselves… even if it means turning on their own."

Happy, who had been quiet up until now, leaned closer to Natsu, his eyes filled with concern. "Aye… it's not right, but that's how people are sometimes."

Carla, her voice sharp and clear, added, "That's why we're looking for a new place. A guild that won't judge us by our pasts or our magic. Somewhere we can belong without having to constantly prove ourselves."

Sting glanced at Natsu, his blue eyes filled with understanding. "That's why we've been searching for *Draco Fang*. We heard the rumors too. A guild that doesn't care about your past, just what you're willing to fight for."

Rogue nodded. "We need a place like that. Somewhere we can start fresh."

Gajeel let out a low chuckle, his expression softening slightly. "Looks like we're all in the same boat, then."

Wendy, her eyes bright with hope despite everything, smiled softly. "Maybe *Draco Fang* really is the place we're looking for."

Panther Lily crossed his arms, his deep voice thoughtful. "We'll know soon enough. If the rumors are true, Hearth City could be the fresh start you all need."

.

.

For two months, they had journeyed together, not just through the physical landscape but through the emotional terrain of their shared traumas and fears. Along the way, they had grown closer, bonded by the understanding that no one else in the world could truly grasp what they had been through. The accusations, the betrayals, the constant running—it had worn them down, but it had also made them stronger.

They had learned to rely on each other, to trust in their shared goal of finding a place to belong. And while the scars of their pasts might never fully heal, they knew that they had each other.

As the fire crackled and the stars appeared in the night sky, the group settled into a comfortable silence. There was still much left unsaid, but they were moving forward, step by step, towards a future that might finally offer them peace.

Natsu, his eyes now softer but still filled with determination, looked around at his companions. "We've all been through hell. But we made it this far. And when we get to *Draco Fang*... maybe we can finally stop running."

Gajeel grunted in agreement. "About time we found a place that'll take us for who we are."

Wendy smiled at them, her voice filled with quiet hope. "Together."

The Exceeds chimed in with their own quiet affirmations, and the group settled in for the night, their hearts a little lighter knowing they weren't alone in their journey anymore.

They were no longer outcasts or fugitives. They were a family—one that had survived the worst the world could throw at them. And no matter what waited for them in Hearth City, they knew they would face it together.

...

-Outskirts of Hearth City-

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with shades of orange and pink, the weary travelers finally emerged from the dense forest. Before them lay a sprawling landscape, with rolling hills giving way to a majestic city in the distance. Hearth City, the capital far from any place they had previously known in Fiore, loomed large and impressive on the horizon.

Natsu, at the head of the group, paused and gazed ahead with a mix of exhaustion and anticipation. "There it is," he said, his voice filled with quiet awe. The city's grandeur was undeniable, its towering spires and bustling streets visible even from afar. The city was reminiscent of Crocus but far more expansive and elaborate, with its grandeur accentuated by its central position in the realm.

Wendy stood beside him, her eyes wide with wonder. "It's incredible. I didn't think it would be so… grand. Look at that!" She pointed towards the center of the city, where a large, impressive structure dominated the skyline. It was the guild hall of *Draco Fang*, standing proud at the heart of Hearth City.

Gajeel, who had been quietly observing, nodded appreciatively. "That's one massive guild hall. Looks like we're heading straight into the heart of things."

Sting, who had been scanning the surroundings, turned to his companions. "This is definitely the place we've been searching for. The guild hall's right in the center, just as the rumors said."

Rogue, his expression thoughtful, glanced at Chelia, whose eyes sparkled with a mixture of relief and excitement. "We're finally here. It feels like a new chapter is about to begin."

Chelia's smile was soft yet filled with hope. "I've heard nothing but good things about this guild. They're known for their hospitality and willingness to accept those in need."

Lector, perched on Sting's shoulder, peered ahead with a hopeful look. "Let's hope the reality lives up to the stories."

Panther Lily, always pragmatic, nodded. "We should be prepared for anything. This city is massive, and we need to make a good impression."

Happy, fluttering around with excitement, added, "Aye! I can't wait to see what kind of adventures await us here!"

Carla, gliding beside Wendy, shared a reassuring look with her. "We've come a long way. We'll make it through this together, no matter what."

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the group realized they needed to find shelter for the night. After months on the road, exhaustion weighed heavily on everyone, and the outskirts of Hearth City were still miles away.

"We're not going to make it to Hearth before nightfall," Natsu muttered, glancing at the fading light. "We need to find a place to rest up."

Wendy nodded, her eyes scanning the surroundings. "There's a small village a few miles east. It's not far—we could find an inn there."

Sting stretched his arms above his head. "Sounds good to me. Could use a proper bed for once."

The group, consisting of Natsu, Gajeel, Wendy, Sting, Rogue, Chelia, and the five Exceeds—Happy, Carla, Panther Lily, Lector, and Frosch—altered their course toward the village. As they approached, the soft glow of lanterns illuminated the quaint streets, and the comforting murmur of evening village life greeted them. It was a simple, peaceful place, nestled amidst rolling hills and thick trees.

"Not bad," Gajeel grumbled approvingly, his gaze sweeping over the modest homes and the warm light spilling from the village buildings.

Soon, they arrived at a cozy inn, its wooden sign creaking gently in the evening breeze. "The Resting Hearth," it read in faded script. The inn itself was rustic but well-kept, with a welcoming glow coming from its windows. Natsu led the group inside, where a friendly, middle-aged innkeeper greeted them from behind the counter.

"Welcome! Looking for a place to stay the night?" the innkeeper asked, her eyes flickering over the large group.

"Yeah," Natsu replied. "We'll need a few rooms."

The innkeeper nodded. "We've got space. I can offer you two large rooms if you don't mind sharing."

"That's fine," Wendy said with a smile, grateful they'd found a place to rest.

Once the rooms were sorted, they quickly settled in. Natsu, Gajeel, Sting, Rogue, and the Exceeds—Happy, Panther Lily, Lector, and Frosch—shared one room, while Wendy, Chelia, and Carla took the second room next door. The accommodations were simple but comfortable, with clean beds and warm blankets. After the constant wear of the road, it felt like a luxury.

As they lay in their respective rooms, the day's fatigue finally catching up with them, the group could feel a sense of calm settling in. The inn's walls muffled the sounds of the village outside, and the soft crackling of a nearby fireplace added to the tranquil atmosphere.

"We've come a long way," Wendy said softly, her voice barely audible over the gentle breathing of Carla and Chelia. She stared at the ceiling, her mind drifting to the challenges they would soon face in Hearth City.

"Yeah," Chelia agreed quietly, "but at least we're not alone in this."

In the other room, Natsu lay on his back, his hands behind his head as he stared at the ceiling. Happy curled up at the foot of his bed, already fast asleep. Gajeel snored softly in the bed next to him, while Sting and Rogue whispered about the journey ahead.

For now, they all shared the same roof, enjoying a rare moment of peace before the road called to them again. Tomorrow would bring new challenges, but tonight, they could rest.

Natsu lay awake in the dimly lit room, staring at the ceiling as the others slept soundly in the next bed over. The night was eerily quiet, save for the soft snores of Gajeel and the occasional rustle from Happy and Panther Lily. He couldn't sleep, his mind racing with a torrent of thoughts and bitter memories. It had been months since their banishment, but the anger still simmered beneath his skin like a fire he couldn't extinguish.

He shifted in the bed, his body restless, but the real turmoil was inside. It wasn't just his own exile that gnawed at him, though that was bad enough. The accusations of murder against him, Gajeel, and Wendy had turned their world upside down. Everything they had built, the trust they thought they had, was shattered in an instant. Natsu could still hear the voices of the accusers, their venomous words echoing in his mind.

*"Murderers."*

He clenched his fists under the covers, his nails digging into his palms. They had been treated like monsters, thrown out without so much as a second chance to explain themselves. The bitterness he felt wasn't just for himself—it was for Wendy and Gajeel, too. Wendy, who had always been so innocent, so pure-hearted, caught in the crossfire of something she had no part in. And Gajeel, who had fought so hard to redeem himself, only to be dragged down by the accusations. Natsu could feel the heat rising in his chest, his anger flaring up once again.

But what really tore him apart was thinking about how Sting, Rogue, and Chelia had been treated. Those kids—barely teenagers—accused of something so absurd: theft. They hadn't even been given a chance to defend themselves. Natsu's eyes narrowed in the darkness as he thought about the injustice of it all. Sting and Rogue had been working so hard to prove their strength, their worth. And Chelia, always so full of energy and hope, had been reduced to tears when the accusations came.

*They were just kids,* Natsu thought bitterly, the anger boiling in his gut. *How could they treat them like that?*

He remembered the look on Chelia's face, the disbelief and confusion as they were accused of something they hadn't done. It made Natsu's blood boil. How could the people they had trusted, the ones who were supposed to protect them, turn on them so easily? No evidence, no trial—just condemnation and exile. It wasn't fair. It wasn't right. And the worst part was, they had no choice but to accept it. To leave and keep moving forward, even as the world turned its back on them.

Natsu turned his head slightly, glancing toward the other room where Wendy, Chelia, Carla were. Wendy didn't deserve this—none of them did. She had been so strong throughout all of it, but Natsu knew it had taken a toll on her. She had lost so much, and she had never complained, never let it break her. But he could see the pain behind her eyes. He could see how much it hurt her, even if she didn't say it.

And then there were Sting and Rogue—two boys who were around Wendy's age had worked so hard to prove themselves, to make a name for themselves in the world of magic. They had been thrown out like trash, treated like common criminals over some baseless accusations. Natsu's grip on the blanket tightened as the memories flooded back. He could still hear the accusations ringing in his ears, the way the council members sneered at them, the way they didn't care about the truth.

*They didn't care about any of us.*

Natsu's jaw clenched as the anger surged again. It wasn't just about him, or even just about Wendy and Gajeel. It was about all of them—Sting, Rogue, Chelia. Kids who were trying to find their way, to prove their strength and worth, only to be cast out like they were nothing. Natsu's heart ached with the injustice of it all, and his mind wouldn't let it rest.

They had been on the road for months, searching for a new guild, a new home. And yet, the bitterness still lingered, always at the edge of his thoughts. The fear that maybe nothing had changed in Magnolia gnawed at him. What if they hadn't even been missed? What if the guild had simply moved on, content with the lies that had been spread?

*Did they even care?*

He wasn't sure what hurt more—the betrayal or the silence that followed. Natsu's breath hitched slightly as he forced himself to calm down. He had to keep it together. He had to stay strong—for Wendy, for Gajeel, for the others. They couldn't go back, not yet. Not until they found the truth, not until they found a place where they truly belonged. Draco Fang was their best bet at this point.

His eyes flickered to the window, where the faint light of the moon filtered through. Tomorrow, they would keep moving. Just like they had for months. But the anger and bitterness wouldn't go away, not until they found justice. Not until they made the people who had wronged them understand the weight of their actions.

Natsu swore to himself, quietly, that one day they would make things right. For Wendy, for Gajeel, for Sting, Rogue, and Chelia. No one would ever treat them like that again.

-Hearth City-

As they approached the city gates, the size and vibrancy of Hearth City became increasingly apparent. It was bustling with activity—merchants calling out their wares, children running through the streets, and the sounds of lively conversations filling the air. The city's heart, with *Draco Fang*'s guild hall towering above all else, seemed to pulsate with energy and potential.

The grandeur of the guild hall was even more impressive as they drew closer. Situated centrally within the city, it was a large and welcoming structure with intricate carvings and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Its presence was both imposing and comforting, offering a sense of belonging that the travelers had longed for.

As they entered the guild hall, they were greeted by a whirlwind of activity and warmth. The interior was lively and bustling, with members of *Draco Fang* moving about, engaged in various activities. The hall was a hub of camaraderie and energy, contrasting sharply with the cold rejection they had faced elsewhere.

Natsu, Gajeel, Wendy, Sting, Rogue, and Chelia, along with their Exceeds—Happy, Carla, Lector, Panther Lily, and Froshe—stood at the entrance, their eyes taking in the new surroundings. The guild members looked up, their curiosity piqued by the newcomers.

As they moved further into the hall, they were met with a mixture of curious glances and welcoming smiles. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the sense of possibility was palpable. The grandeur of Hearth City and the central presence of *Draco Fang* made it clear that this was a place of great importance and potential.

The group allowed themselves a moment to imagine a future where they were no longer defined by their past mistakes but by the strength and unity they had built together. The journey had been long and arduous, but the promise of a new beginning lay before them, and they were ready to embrace it with hope and determination.

"This place is huge!" exclaimed Natsu, his eyes wide with wonder as he took in the sight of the guild hall before them. Areas for each section were shown. from cafeterias, training rooms, the library

"Yeah no kidding, this place has everything." Gajeel couldn't help but compare their previous guild to the Draco Fang guild. The guild had a atmosphere that was very different than what they were normally used to. Wendy herself couldn't help but marvel at the different areas. The way they had places for each mage to explore and be familiar with was definitely something she could get used to.

Sting, Rouge, And Chelia had never seen such a lively guild before. And this was definitely something they wanted more then anything. A place to rest and to not be on the run.

The group stood in awe, taking in the breathtaking sight before them. The long journey had been difficult, but as they gazed upon the city and the welcoming guild hall, they knew it had been worth every step. This wasn't just a new destination; it was the home and community they had been searching for.

The group's attention shifted as a striking green-haired woman approached, her vibrant hair matching the green and red robe she wore, which gave her an aura of both elegance and strength. Her light brown eyes gleamed with warmth, and a katana hung by her side, suggesting she was no stranger to battle.

She smiled kindly, her voice warm but curious. "Hello, is this your first time here?"

Wendy, still a bit unsure but filled with hope, spoke up. "Yes, it is. We don't really have anywhere else to go, so we thought we'd check out the guild."

The green-haired woman's expression softened even more. "Is that so? Well, you're more than welcome. But here's something you should know—this guild is special. Only mages who wield Lost Magic, in other words, Slayers, are allowed here."

Natsu's face lit up with excitement, his usual spark returning. "Really? That's awesome! Do you guys have any strong mages? I'm always looking for a good fight."

The woman chuckled softly, amused by his energy. "Oh, we have plenty. Some are out on jobs right now, but I'll introduce you to them when they return, if that's alright."

Wendy, now feeling a little more at ease, smiled brightly. "That sounds perfect! We're ready whenever."

Natsu grinned, glancing around the guild hall, his earlier doubts slowly fading. "This place might not be so bad after all," he muttered, a small but genuine smile tugging at his lips.

As the green-haired woman finished administering the guild marks, Natsu, scratching the back of his head in confusion, blurted out, "Uh, wait a second. What's the name of this guild again?"

Happy immediately sighed, fluttering next to him. "Aye, Natsu, you seriously forgot already?"

Carla crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing. "It's amazing how you manage to forget something so simple."

Panther Lily, standing by Gajeel's side, shook his head in mild disbelief. "It's a talent, really. Forgetting crucial details."

Gajeel snorted, crossing his arms. "You're such a numbskull, Flame Brain. You were just told the name two minutes ago."

Wendy giggled softly, her voice gentle but teasing. "Natsu's always like this, but it wouldn't be him without it."

Sting joined in with a smirk, glancing at Rogue. "Seriously, how does he manage to do this all the time? You'd think he'd remember something that important."

Rogue stayed silent, but there was a faint, amused smile on his face as he watched the scene unfold. Chelia, however, burst into laughter, shaking her head. "It's kind of endearing in a weird way, isn't it?"

Lector puffed out his chest. "That's Natsu for you—reckless, but dependable... most of the time."

Finally, Frosch chimed in, nodding sagely as if stating an undeniable truth. "Fro thinks so too."

The green-haired woman chuckled, clearly entertained by the playful banter. "Well, since you asked, the guild's name is Draco Fang," she said with pride in her voice. "Glad to have you all."

Natsu grinned widely, as if hearing it for the first time. "Draco Fang, huh? I like it! Thanks for letting us join; we really appreciate it."

The rest of the group echoed their thanks, the atmosphere warm with camaraderie. Despite Natsu's forgetfulness, the bonds between them only seemed to strengthen as the bustling city beyond the guild hummed with vibrant energy, a new chapter unfolding before them.

-Hearth City Inn-

As night settled over the inn, Natsu and his companions found themselves enveloped in the quiet comfort of their new surroundings. The steady hum of the city outside the window offered a peaceful rhythm, a soothing contrast to the chaotic months of travel and betrayal they had endured.

Natsu lay sprawled across his bed, staring at the ceiling as the dim light from the Lacrima lamp cast faint shadows around the room. His mind raced, haunted by memories of their expulsion from Fairy Tail and the deep sense of abandonment that still clung to him. Despite the safety they had now found, the pain lingered like an old wound refusing to heal. Yet, there was a spark—an ember of hope that refused to die out, fanned by the unbreakable bond he'd forged with Wendy, Gajeel, and their new allies.

He shifted in his bed, his voice breaking the comfortable silence. "Wendy, Gajeel... You guys doing okay?"

Wendy, curled up on her own bed with Carla beside her, turned her head toward him, her blue eyes soft but weary. "Yeah, Natsu," she said gently. "I'm okay... a little tired, but I'm really grateful we found this place. We finally have somewhere to belong."

Carla, perched by Wendy's side, nodded solemnly. "Indeed. This guild may offer the refuge we need. It seems... promising," she added, her voice carrying its usual air of dignity, but with an underlying tone of relief.

Gajeel, lounging with his arms behind his head in the corner of the room, gave a low grunt of agreement. "Long as there's a bed and some food, I'm good." His eyes flickered to Panther Lily, who sat cross-legged beside him. "What about you, Panther Lily?"

Panther Lily gave a small smile. "I'm content. It's been a long journey, but we've finally found a place where we can rest and rebuild."

Happy, resting near Natsu, stretched lazily. "Aye! I'm just glad we won't be sleeping on the ground anymore. Soft beds, good food, and maybe fish tomorrow!"

Natsu chuckled lightly at Happy's enthusiasm, then turned his gaze back toward the ceiling. "Yeah... No more camps, no more running around. I still can't believe we're here."

Sting, lying back on his bed next to Lector, chimed in. "You guys aren't the only ones relieved. This place feels solid. Maybe even better than most places we have visited, in some ways."

Lector nodded eagerly. "Yeah, Sting's right! This place feels different... like maybe we're meant to be here, you know?"

Rogue, who sat quietly by his own bed, spoke up, his voice calm. "It's... peaceful here. Different from what we're used to. It'll take some getting used to, but maybe it's exactly what we need."

Frosch, nestled beside Rogue, nodded sagely. "Fro thinks so too!"

Chelia, who had been sitting at the edge of her bed, spoke with a soft laugh. "Honestly, I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds. Draco Fang feels... right. Maybe we can all start fresh here."

Wendy smiled at her friend's optimism. "It does feel right, doesn't it? Like maybe this is where we were supposed to end up."

Carla let out a quiet hum of agreement. "It seems fate has led us here for a reason. We should trust in it."

Natsu exhaled slowly, feeling the weight of their journey start to ease from his shoulders. Despite everything they had faced, they had made it to this point together. He glanced around the room, seeing the tired but content faces of his comrades and their Exceeds.

"Yeah," he murmured. "This place might be our new home. Whatever tomorrow brings, we'll face it together."

Gajeel grunted his agreement, and Wendy gave a soft, "Mhm." Happy nodded beside him with a lazy smile, already halfway to sleep.

"Rest up, everyone," Natsu added, his voice softer now. "Tomorrow's a new start."

And with that, the quiet of the night reclaimed the room as one by one, they drifted into a peaceful sleep, hearts lightened by the hope of new beginnings and the unshakable bond they all shared.
