A/N Hey guys I'm here with another chapter. The first part left off with our favorite group. Natsu and the rest of the gang have arrived safely at their new home Hearth City.

And now they are members of the Slayer Guild known as Draco Fang. This chapter will be mainly used to introduce and develop the slayers in different ways with them having new friends and family to train with.

Also, in any case, let's begin.

Ember Flintfang (22 years old)

Fenris Stormgale (23 years old)

-Hearth City-

Two months had passed since Natsu and Gajeel had been expelled from Fairy Tail, a turning point that forced them to move on from their former guild and search for new beginnings. The journey had led them, along with their Exceeds, Happy and Panther Lily, to Hearth City—an immense, magical metropolis known for its rich history and powerful mage guilds. Now, this city was home to Draco Fang, the guild Natsu and Gajeel had decided to join.

Along with Natsu and Gajeel came two new faces—Sting and Rogue. Unlike the others, these two dragon slayers had never been affiliated with any guild before. They were nomads, wandering from one place to another without a true home. But now, Hearth City had drawn them in as well, offering the potential for camaraderie, battle, and a place to grow their power.

The group arrived in the early morning, the sunlight casting a golden glow over the towering spires and magical energy-filled streets. Hearth City, a sprawling urban wonder, felt alive in a way that was different from Magnolia. The streets were teeming with life—mages of all kinds hurried through the winding streets, while merchants and traders peddled enchanted goods at every corner. It was a city where magic wasn't just practiced; it was embedded in its very foundations.

As the dragon slayers explored Hearth City, it wasn't long before they began attracting attention. Natsu, with his pink-red hair and carefree swagger, strolled through the streets with Happy flying beside him. Gajeel walked close behind, his dark, spiky hair giving him a menacing presence as Panther Lily rode on his shoulder. Sting and Rogue, with their Exceeds Lector and Frosch, followed not far behind, their sharp eyes scanning their new surroundings with curiosity and wariness. Despite the whispers and stares of the city's residents, none of them seemed bothered by the attention.

"Look at those guys," whispered a passerby, nudging his friend. "Aren't those dragon slayers? I've never seen them around here before."

"Yeah, they've got that same aura about them. Powerful," another remarked, glancing at the group as they walked past. "Wonder what they're doing here. Hearth City doesn't see many like them."

"They must be joining Draco Fang. I heard that guild's been recruiting some big names lately," a shopkeeper commented as Natsu passed by his stall. The fire dragon slayer overheard but didn't acknowledge the comment, his mind already focused on the towering arena that stood in the distance.

"Look at that thing!" Natsu exclaimed, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "It's huge! I bet the fights here are intense!" He punched his fists together, already imagining the battles he could have in the grand arena.

Happy floated beside him, mimicking Natsu's enthusiasm. "Aye, sir! We're gonna take them all down, right, Natsu?"

Gajeel, however, had his sights set elsewhere. The ironworks district had caught his attention almost immediately—the smell of molten metal and the sound of hammers striking anvils was music to his ears. The district was filled with blacksmiths, weapon makers, and artisans, all crafting enchanted weapons and armor that glowed with magical runes. It was the perfect place for someone like him.

"Now this is more my style," Gajeel muttered, a smirk forming on his face. "Look at all this iron. I bet I could eat half this district and still have room for more."

Panther Lily, perched on Gajeel's shoulder, nodded. "It's impressive, Gajeel. These blacksmiths are highly skilled. It might be worth checking out their work."

"Oi, Gajeel! Don't think about eating any of the metal stuff here!" Natsu shouted from across the street, catching sight of his fellow dragon slayer eyeing a particularly large chunk of iron displayed in one of the stalls.

"Tch, I'll do what I want," Gajeel grumbled, though he didn't actually start gnawing on anything—yet.

As for Sting and Rogue, the two of them were more reserved in their exploration of the city. Hearth City's enchanted gardens had caught Rogue's interest. The gardens were filled with glowing trees, magical flora, and serene fountains that seemed to pulse with life. As he walked through the pathways, Frosch hopped along beside him, humming a little tune.

"This place is peaceful," Rogue murmured, his dark eyes scanning the area. "The magic here... it's different from anywhere we've been."

"Yeah, but don't you think it's a little too quiet?" Sting replied, following a few steps behind with Lector floating next to him. "I mean, where's the action? This city's supposed to be full of powerful mages, but all I'm seeing are flowers and fountains."

As they continued to walk, a pair of mages sitting on a nearby bench took notice of them. One of them leaned over to his friend, whispering, "Hey, those two... they've got the look of dragon slayers, too. You think they're with those other guys?"

"Maybe. But they don't seem like they've been part of a guild before. Could be they're here to join Draco Fang like the others," his friend replied, watching Rogue and Sting with curiosity.

Sting heard their whispers but didn't react, instead flashing Rogue a grin. "Looks like we're already making a name for ourselves, huh? Not bad for our first day in the city."

Rogue simply nodded, his gaze fixed on the sparkling fountains ahead. "This city is full of magic. But there's something more beneath the surface. Something old."

Lector floated beside Sting, puffing out his chest. "Of course we're making a name for ourselves! We're the strongest dragon slayers around. This city won't know what hit it!"

By noon, the group had covered a fair portion of Hearth City. They had wandered through the bustling markets filled with merchants selling enchanted goods and exotic artifacts, admired the towering spires of the mage academies, and marveled at the ancient runes etched into the city's walls. Everywhere they went, whispers followed them, and curious eyes watched their every move.

"Those guys—they must be new recruits for Draco Fang," one woman commented to her friend as they passed by. "I've heard that guild's been growing stronger lately. I wouldn't be surprised if they're looking to compete in the arena soon."

"They look strong," her friend agreed, nodding in Natsu's direction. "Especially that one with the pink hair. He's got the look of someone who's fought some serious battles."

Natsu overheard and grinned, nudging Gajeel. "You hear that, Gajeel? Looks like we're already famous!"

Gajeel rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Let's see if they're still saying that after we tear this place apart in the arena."

Despite all the attention, the dragon slayers seemed unaffected by the stares and whispers. For them, this was just another day, another city to explore, and another chance to grow stronger. They were used to being the center of attention—it came with the territory of being dragon slayers. And besides, they had bigger things on their minds than what the citizens of Hearth City thought about them.

As noon approached, they found themselves standing at the edge of the grand arena once more. The towering stone walls loomed above them, casting long shadows across the streets. The sounds of battle echoed from within—magic clashing against magic, the cheers of the crowd roaring like thunder.

Natsu clenched his fists, his eyes burning with anticipation. "This is it. This is where we'll prove ourselves."

Sting crossed his arms, a confident smirk on his face. "Yeah, and we'll show this city what real dragon slayers can do."

Gajeel cracked his knuckles. "Let's give 'em a show they won't forget."

Rogue, calm and composed as ever, simply nodded. "The city may be powerful, but we're stronger. Let's make sure everyone knows it."

Meanwhile away from the bustling streets, Wendy, accompanied by Carla and a curious young Chelia Blendy, found themselves at the grand library of Hearth City. The building was a towering monument to knowledge, rivaling the archives of the Magic Council itself. Wendy was in awe as they entered, her eyes widening at the sight of endless shelves filled with books. The smell of old parchment and ink surrounded them, filling the air with a sense of history.

Chelia, just eight years old, looked around with wide eyes, taking in the grandeur of the place. "Wow, Wendy! Look at all these books! I don't think I've ever seen so many!" she exclaimed, her voice echoing in the quiet halls.

Wendy smiled warmly, sharing in her excitement. "I know, it's incredible. I've never seen anything like it."

As they ventured deeper into the library, they found a secluded room, its entrance marked by an ornate dragon carved above the door. The air inside was cooler, quieter, and filled with the faint scent of aged scrolls. The shelves here were different, holding scrolls and books of every shape and size—each detailing something about dragons.

Wendy's attention was caught by a particularly ancient-looking book tucked away in a dusty corner. Wiping off the cover, she revealed letters glowing a soft, light blue. She felt an odd connection to the book, as if it had been waiting for her all along.

The grand library of Hearth City was a maze of knowledge, with rows of towering bookshelves that seemed to stretch endlessly in every direction. Wendy and Chelia, eager to learn more about their respective origins, had wandered off together, losing themselves in the vast collection of texts. Both girls were captivated by the volumes they had found, each drawn to books that revealed more about their pasts and magic.

Wendy sat at a large wooden desk, her eyes wide with fascination as she pored over an ancient tome titled *History of the Sky Dragons*. The faded pages contained knowledge long forgotten by most, detailing the proud heritage of the Sky Dragons and their connection to Wendy's own magical abilities. She traced her fingers along the intricate illustrations of dragons soaring through the skies, feeling a deep connection to her mother, Grandeeney. Though the text was written in a formal and somewhat draconic style, Wendy was determined to decipher every word. She was so engrossed in her study that time slipped away without her realizing it.

Not far from Wendy, Chelia was just as absorbed in her own discovery. She had found an old, weathered book on *Sky God Slayer Magic*. The more she read, the more she became intrigued by the legend of Hermes, a messenger of the gods who was said to have been the originator of her magic. Chelia's eyes sparkled with wonder as she learned that Hermes had once descended to Earthland, bestowing Sky God Slayer magic upon a chosen few, marking them as protectors and warriors of the heavens. She could feel the power in the words, as if the knowledge itself was calling to her, urging her to dig deeper into her own abilities.

For what felt like hours, the two girls sat in silence, completely immersed in their studies. Wendy absorbed the history of her dragon lineage, learning about their abilities, their connection to the skies, and even some techniques that had long been forgotten. Chelia, meanwhile, learned about the divine origins of her magic, the role of Hermes as a guide between the realms, and the powerful spells that only a Sky God Slayer could wield.

Neither of them noticed the time slipping by until a familiar voice broke the silence.

"Wendy! Chelia! Where are you, children?" Carla's voice echoed through the rows of shelves, her tone filled with concern as she searched for the two girls.

Startled, Wendy blinked and looked around, realizing that hours had passed without her noticing. She glanced over at Chelia, who was equally absorbed in her book, and felt a pang of guilt for worrying Carla.

"I'm right here!" Wendy called out softly, careful not to disturb the quiet atmosphere of the library.

Carla appeared moments later, her face etched with worry as she hurried toward them. "Wendy! Chelia! What were you thinking, wandering off like that? I've been looking everywhere for you two!" she whispered, trying to keep her voice down.

"We're sorry, Carla," Wendy said sheepishly. "We just got so caught up in these books." She gestured to the pile of ancient tomes and scrolls in front of her.

Carla glanced down at the titles, her eyes widening in surprise. One of the books Wendy had been studying was an old, rare volume on the history of Sky Dragons, while Chelia had a scroll filled with secrets about Sky God Slayer magic. Carla shook her head, her worry quickly turning into understanding.

"I see… you've been studying," Carla said softly, her stern expression softening. "But you should have told me where you were going. I was worried sick."

Wendy and Chelia exchanged guilty glances. "We're really sorry, Carla," Wendy apologized. "But there's so much we want to learn. I found so much about my mother's heritage, and Chelia… she's been learning about the origins of her Sky God Slayer magic."

Chelia held up the scroll she had been reading, her eyes still wide with excitement. "Hermes, the messenger of the gods, was the one who created Sky God Slayer magic. It's all in here! I never knew any of this!"

Carla sighed, though there was a hint of pride in her expression. "Well, I suppose it's good that you're both so eager to learn."

Wendy smiled, feeling a sense of excitement welling up within her. "I'm going to check out all of these books," she said eagerly, placing the heavy volumes and scrolls into her bag. There was so much more she had to know, and now, she was more determined than ever to uncover the secrets of her past and the power that connected her to the Sky Dragons. Chelia, too, packed her newfound knowledge with a spark in her eyes, eager to grow even stronger with the guidance of the gods' magic.

"Okay, Wendy—and you too, Chelia—next time, let me know where you're going so I won't have to search for you," Carla said with a motherly tone, following the girls toward the checkout desk. The librarian, an elderly woman with slightly gray hair and a warm smile, watched them from behind the counter, her kind demeanor reflecting her welcoming nature.

Wendy and Chelia approached the desk, each carrying a hefty stack of books and scrolls. Wendy carefully placed her selection down first, followed by Chelia, whose eyes sparkled with excitement over the ancient scrolls about Sky God Slayer magic she had discovered. Carla, watching over them, adjusted their bags with a sigh, muttering, "You two are going to be the end of me." Her protective fussing made the librarian smile warmly, recognizing the motherly concern in Carla's actions.

"Well, well, what do we have here? Two young scholars, I see," the librarian greeted them warmly, her gaze shifting between the two girls and the mountain of books they were checking out. "Are you here to buy these, dears?" she asked, noticing the vast amount of material they had gathered.

Wendy shook her head quickly. "No, ma'am, we're just here to check them out," she replied politely. "I'm really interested in learning about my dragon magic and the history behind it."

Chelia nodded in agreement, adding, "And I'm learning more about my Sky God Slayer magic! I found some really old scrolls that mention the origins of it!"

The librarian raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Oh, I see," she said with a chuckle. "Well, not many young ones these days have such an appetite for history, especially for old scrolls and texts like these. Most of the people who come here are looking for the latest novels. Wouldn't you rather take one of those?" She held up a newly published novel, offering it to the girls with a friendly smile.

Chelia politely shook her head, smiling back. "No, thank you. I'm more interested in this old stuff. It's like discovering a whole new world."

Wendy chimed in, her voice resolute. "I'm the same. These books are more precious to me than any novel could be. I want to learn everything I can about my dragon heritage, and these are the only books that can help me with that."

The librarian's eyes softened as she looked at the two girls. "You remind me of myself when I was younger," she said, almost to herself, a nostalgic smile spreading across her face. "It's rare to see such passion for learning, especially for history. It's a trait that's becoming all too uncommon."

She paused, her gaze falling on the stacks of ancient books and scrolls. Then, with a warm glint in her eyes, she said, "Tell you what—I'll do you both a special favor. I'll let you borrow all these books and scrolls for free on one condition."

Wendy and Chelia exchanged curious glances before Wendy asked, "What condition?"

The librarian leaned in slightly, her smile widening. "You have to promise to come back and visit me every once in a while. Share what you've learned, maybe tell me some stories about your adventures. So, what do you think? Is that a fair deal?"

Both Wendy and Chelia's faces lit up with joy at the offer. "That's a great deal!" Wendy exclaimed softly, not wanting to disturb the quiet atmosphere of the library. Chelia nodded eagerly beside her, equally thrilled.

"Deal!" Chelia added, her voice brimming with excitement.

The librarian smiled warmly as she began to carefully pack their books and scrolls. "Very well, then. I'll look forward to hearing all about what you've learned the next time you come in. My name is Ellen, by the way," she said, introducing herself with a gentle nod.

"Thank you so much, Ellen!" Wendy said, beaming as she took her bag, now filled with precious knowledge. Chelia followed suit, her eyes still glowing with excitement over the discoveries she would soon dive into.

As the two girls waved goodbye and left the library, Ellen watched them with a soft, wistful smile. "Such bright, eager minds," she whispered to herself as she returned to her duties. "I wish I were young again."

-Draco Fang-

Wendy, Carla, and Chelia returned to Draco Fang after their trip to the library, the midday sun casting long shadows across the guild hall's entrance. The inside of the guild was as lively as ever, with mages eating and chatting, while others reviewed job requests. Chelia clutched her scrolls excitedly, eager to dive back into the hustle of their new home.

The group moved toward a corner of the hall where children were gathered, playing games and discussing their magical abilities. Chelia's eyes sparkled as she spotted the group and tugged at Wendy's sleeve.

"Wendy, look! I think I've found some friends!" Chelia beamed, practically bouncing with excitement.

Wendy smiled warmly. "Go on, Chelia. Introduce yourself."

Chelia eagerly ran over to the group. One of the children, a boy with short brown hair and striking blue eyes, stepped forward, holding a scroll tucked under his arm. He met Chelia's gaze with a proud smile.

"I'm Barry Waterspring," he said confidently. "I use Water God Slayer magic. Learned it from a sacred scroll just like you."

Chelia's eyes widened with excitement. "No way! I'm a Sky God Slayer! That's amazing! Where did you find your scroll?"

Barry grinned. "It was hidden in a temple near the coast. I had to search for months, but I finally figured out the magic. It lets me control water like the gods themselves!" He conjures up a decently sized ball of black water and before shooting it at the bulls eye poster a few feet away.

Before Chelia could respond, a small voice piped up from behind her. A toddler, no older than three, waddled over with big, curious eyes and fiery red hair. She looked up at Chelia and the others, clutching a tiny stuffed dragon.

"That's Lilly," came a calm voice from across the room. Ember, a tall girl with striking crimson hair, walked over with an air of confidence. "She's my daughter and a girl with a fiery spirit and a soon to be Devil Slayer like me. I learned my magic from a sacred scroll too."

Ember placed a gentle hand on Lilly's shoulder, smiling down at her little girl. "Lilly's still trying to learn how to manifest her magic, but she's got more potential than anyone I've ever seen."

Chelia crouched down to Lilly's height, her eyes filled with wonder. "A Fire Devil Slayer? That's so cool! You're gonna be so strong, Lilly!"

Wendy watched the scene unfold, a feeling of warmth swelling in her chest. Just as she was about to join the conversation, a new presence entered the room.

A tall, imposing figure with silver hair and a calm yet powerful demeanor approached the group. His eyes were like a storm—sharp and intense, but not unkind. This was Fenris Stormgale, the Storm Dragon Slayer. He carried himself with the respect and dignity of a seasoned warrior, but none of the arrogance one might expect from someone of his stature.

"You must be the new arrivals," Fenris said, his voice deep but welcoming. "I'm Fenris. Storm Dragon Slayer." He looked at the group with a nod of respect, his gaze particularly lingering on Wendy and Carla, acknowledging their presence with a quiet nod.

Wendy smiled up at him. "I'm Wendy Marvell, and this is Carla. It's nice to meet you, Fenris."

Chelia, still buzzing with excitement, looked up at Fenris with wide eyes. "You're a dragon slayer too?!"

Fenris gave a small chuckle. "That's right. Been with Draco Fang for quite some time now. But it's not about how long you've been here—it's about how much you respect those around you." He glanced at the group of children, his expression softening. "Seems like we've got quite a few new talents coming in."

Barry, looking up at Fenris in awe, couldn't resist asking, "Storm Dragon Slayer? What's it like?"

Fenris chuckled again, crouching down to meet Barry's height. "It's not just about power. Being a dragon slayer means understanding the forces around you, whether it's the storm, the fire, or the sky. You'll find that strength comes from within, not just from magic."

Ember smirked at Fenris' wisdom, her arms crossed. "He's right, you know. It's not about what scroll you have—it's about how you use it."

Wendy, Carla, Chelia, and the others stood quietly for a moment, absorbing Fenris' words. There was something comforting about the way he spoke, a sense of grounded wisdom that made even the youngest among them feel at ease.

Chelia beamed up at Fenris. "I want to be as strong as you someday!"

Fenris ruffled her hair gently. "I have no doubt you will, kid. You've got the heart for it."

As the conversation carried on, the lively chatter of Draco Fang continued in the background. Despite being new arrivals, Wendy, Chelia, and their friends felt a sense of belonging. There was no doubt that this guild—filled with dragon slayers, devil slayers, and God Slayers alike—was now their home.

As the chatter continued, Natsu and the others burst through the guild doors, their exuberance filling the room. Natsu's eyes fell on the green-haired woman, his curiosity piqued.

As the chatter continued, the guild hall doors flew open, and Natsu, Gajeel, Sting, and Rogue burst into the room, their exuberance and energy instantly transforming the atmosphere. Their eyes swept across the guild hall, taking in the bustling activity and the array of faces both familiar and new. Natsu's attention was quickly drawn to a green-haired woman seated near the corner, her attention focused on a book with an air of quiet contemplation.

"Hey, how's it going?" Natsu called out, his tone casual but laced with curiosity.

The woman looked up briefly from her reading, her expression neutral. "Just catching up on some news," she said, before returning to her book.

"What's got your attention?" Natsu pressed, his curiosity now fully piqued. Wendy and the others gathered around, intrigued by the conversation.

The woman—Melanie Astra—finally closed her book and looked at Natsu and the others. The title on the cover was clear: *Tenrou Island Destroyed by a Black Dragon*. She explained, "The news has been circulating for about a week now. It's a grim story—Acnologia, a black dragon, appeared on Tenrou Island and obliterated it. The island, and everyone on it, was destroyed in an instant."

The revelation hit the guild like a thunderclap. The mood shifted from lively to somber in an instant. The mention of Tenrou Island stirred painful memories, and the weight of their former guild's loss settled heavily on their shoulders. Wendy's heart sank as she thought of the comrades they had left behind, her silence speaking volumes of the grief she felt.

Though they had been mistreated by Fairy Tail, they never wished such a fate upon their former friends. The news brought a wave of sorrow as they reflected on the betrayal they had felt and the lasting friendships that had been severed by their departure.

Gajeel's face was etched with a deep sense of dread as he read through the list of names of those who had perished. Among them was one name that struck him profoundly: Levy McGarden. His heart clenched at the thought of her loss. Tears welled in his eyes, but he fought them back, unable to escape the anguish the news had stirred within him.

Natsu, witnessing Gajeel's distress, tried to offer comfort, but Gajeel's reaction was unexpected. With a swift motion, Gajeel slapped Natsu's hand away and stormed out of the guild hall, the pain too overwhelming to be contained.

A black-haired man stepped in, placing a firm hand on Natsu's shoulder. "Let him be for now. He needs time," he said calmly, his demeanor a sharp contrast to Natsu's turmoil.

The tension in the guild was palpable, and the guild master's arrival brought a semblance of calm. His interaction with Melanie hinted at a deeper understanding of the situation, leaving Natsu and his companions curious about the full extent of the tragedy.

About an hour later, Gajeel returned to the guild. Though his expression was still gloomy, his presence was a sign that his emotions had begun to stabilize. The atmosphere in the guild, while still heavy with the weight of the news, began to ease as Gajeel's return helped calm the nerves of the group. The shared pain of their lost friends brought them closer together, even in the midst of their grief.

Now to kind of get everything back into the guilds main plans, the members decided it was time for formal introductions.

The guild hall buzzed with excitement as the Draco Fang members gathered to welcome the new arrivals. The atmosphere was charged with a mix of curiosity and camaraderie, each member eager to make a good impression.

Drew Hellblaze was the first to step forward. Dressed in dark, chain mail armor with striking red accents, his black hair and intense gaze commanded immediate respect. "I'm Drew Hellblaze, the Hellfire Dragon Slayer," he announced with a tone of authority and pride. "I was taught by Atlas Flame himself. Welcome to Draco Fang."

Next was Melanie Astra, whose warm and inviting presence combined strength and kindness. Her personality reflected a blend of commanding presence and approachable demeanor. She greeted Wendy with a friendly handshake. "I'm Melanie Astra, the Wind Dragon Slayer," she said with a reassuring smile. "Raised and taught by the Wind Dragon Fujin, who is also my adopted father."

Lindsey Emilia, dressed in a striking silver and blue dress, approached with a bright, youthful smile. Her friendly and vibrant demeanor was complemented by her youthful appearance. "Hi, I'm Lindsey Emilia," she said cheerfully. "I'm the Silver Dragon Slayer, raised by my adoptive mother Lustra."

Raven Voidsong introduced herself next. Her short purple hair, partially obscuring her left eye, and casual attire—a purple shirt and black shorts—gave her a tomboyish edge. "Hey, I'm Raven Voidsong," she said, her tone casual and confident. "I'm the Void Dragon Slayer, raised by my adopted mother Yamestra."

Kane made his entrance with an imposing presence. His appearance was marked by a rugged, mature look, reminiscent of someone who had seen and done a lot. His serious demeanor and commanding presence set him apart. "The name's Kane. Remember it well..." he said, his words carrying weight as he quickly moved on. "I'm the Earth Dragon Slayer. Got a job to handle now," he added curtly before leaving.

Sting, feeling somewhat skeptical about Kane, muttered, "Quite the dramatic guy you guys have there."

"Don't mind Kane," Melanie said with a chuckle. "That's just how he is. He might not say much, but he's a good guy once you get to know him."

With the introductions complete, Melanie suggested a customary sparring match to help everyone get acquainted with the guild's environment and their own abilities. Natsu's eyes lit up at the idea. "A sparring match? Count me in!" he exclaimed with enthusiasm.

The group followed Melanie to the mountainside training ground. The path was filled with anticipation and excitement as they prepared for the challenges ahead, eager to test their skills and forge new bonds within Draco Fang.

-Deep within the mountains, miles away from Hearth City-

The walk through the dense forest stretched on for nearly twenty minutes, each step heightening the sense of anticipation. The path, winding through towering trees and underbrush, seemed to amplify the tension as they approached the sparring ground. Natsu's eagerness was almost tangible, his eyes burning with determination and excitement. This wasn't just another fight—it was an opportunity to test himself against a fellow Dragon Slayer. Not just any dragon slayer but one with his similar element and attribute.

As the clearing emerged, revealing the makeshift arena surrounded by dense foliage, Natsu's pulse quickened. The air was thick with magic, crackling with the promise of a fierce confrontation. Drew Hellblaze stood at the center of the arena, his calm demeanor a stark contrast to Natsu's restless energy. Clad in dark chain mail armor with striking red accents, Drew's presence exuded a quiet confidence, a testament to his extensive experience as a Dragon Slayer. This would not be an easy fight.

Natsu and Drew locked eyes, the intensity of their gazes betraying their eagerness to engage. The silence that fell over the clearing was heavy, charged with the impending clash of their formidable powers. Drew's voice broke through the charged atmosphere, his tone steady and composed.

"Natsu," he said, his calmness almost serene amidst the mounting tension, "I'm going to let you have the first move. So hit me with your best shot."

Natsu's response was a determined nod, his stance firm as he readied himself. The anticipation reached a fever pitch, every muscle in his body taut with readiness. The forest around them seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the eruption of their magic.

With a fierce war cry, Natsu launched himself forward, flames roaring to life around him. His spell surged with the intensity of his fiery spirit, the heat of his magic cutting through the cool forest air. The moment had arrived, the clash between Natsu's raw, unbridled energy and Drew's seasoned calm poised to ignite the clearing in a display of Dragon Slayer might.

"Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!" he bellowed, the molten hot fireball surging forth with blistering intensity, engulfing Drew in their searing embrace. But when the flames dissipated, Drew stood unscathed, his smile unwavering, his confidence unshaken.

Natsu's shock was palpable, his confidence waning as doubt crept into his mind.

Drew stood calmly amidst the onslaught of fiery attacks. His stance was unyielding as Natsu launched a barrage of spells at him.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Natsu shouted, his fist enveloped in roaring flames as he aimed for Drew. The fiery punch met Drew's stance, but instead of being overwhelmed, Drew's calm demeanor remained unchanged. His own flames, a striking white-hot hue, began to flicker around him, searing through Natsu's attack with ease.

"Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!" Natsu followed up, unleashing a sweeping arc of flame with his outstretched arm. The waves of fire crashed into Drew's white-hot flames, but once again, Drew's flames did not falter. Instead, they spread and intensified, effectively burning away Natsu's attack as if it were mere paper.

"Fire Dragon's Talon!" Natsu roared, his feet igniting as he aimed a series of swift, slicing kicks at Drew. The talons of flame streaked towards Drew, but the white-hot flames surrounding him blazed brighter, consuming the incoming fire and neutralizing it with effortless precision.

Drew's white flames were unlike anything Natsu had encountered. Where Natsu's fiery spells were vibrant and fierce, Drew's flames were an almost ethereal, searing white—radiant with an intensity that seemed to burn away not just the physical elements but the very essence of Natsu's fire magic. Each spell Natsu cast was met with Drew's unwavering serenity, his flames were a complete wall to pinkette, an otherworldly power that rendered his opponent's attacks ineffective and useless.

Drew's cool composure contrasted sharply with the fiery fury of Natsu's assaults, emphasizing the stark difference in their flames and the profound gap in their magical prowess.

Despite however being a Fire Dragon Slayer, Natsu found himself struggling under the sheer power of Drew's relentless attacks. Each spell was a show of power to a different kind of fire magic—one that Natsu had never faced before.

"Hellfire Dragon's Searing Fist!" Drew's voice cut through the air, and a torrent of white-hot flames erupted from his hands. Natsu threw up his arms to block the attack, but the impact was brutal. The heat was unlike anything he had experienced—searing through his defenses and sending him crashing backwards. The pain was intense, each burn marking him with a reminder of the difference in their powers.

"Hellfire Dragon's Demolition Strike!" Drew followed up with a devastating spell. The ground shook as flames converged on Natsu with explosive force. The shockwaves from the impact reverberated through his body, jarring him and making his limbs feel heavy. Natsu's breath was knocked out of him, and he struggled to remain upright as his focus wavered under the crushing force.

"Hellfire Dragon's Shockwave!" Another wave of flames surged towards Natsu, engulfing him in a blistering torrent. The heat was oppressive, and Natsu's strength was drained with each wave. The sheer force of the shockwave made his head spin, and he could barely see through the blinding blaze. His vision blurred, and every instinct screamed at him to retreat, but he was rooted in place by the overwhelming heat.

"Hellfire Dragon's Ultimate Burst!" Drew's final spell roared into existence, an explosion of blinding white flames that seemed to consume everything. The blast engulfed Natsu completely, the sheer intensity leaving him reeling. His body was battered and in deep pain, each part of him feeling the brunt of the inferno. The overwhelming force shattered his focus and will, the once unbreakable Fire Dragon Slayer now struggling to keep his footing.

As the last vestiges of Drew's flames faded, Natsu's resolve faltered. Despite his fire magic prowess, the difference in their powers was undeniable. The relentless barrage of attacks had not only inflicted physical pain but had also shattered his mental focus, leaving him vulnerable and defeated in the face of Drew's superior strength.

With every failed attempt to land a blow, Natsu's frustration mounted, his movements growing more erratic as doubt clouded his judgment.

"Dragon Slayer Secrets Arts: Flame Lotus Exploding Flame Blade!" this attack was a testament to his unwavering resolve. yet despite summoning his strongest attack, Natsu watched helplessly as Drew effortlessly redirected it. The attack was so powerful that the entire mountain the spell was redirected to was vaporized. Drew proceeded to dash and within seconds he appeared behind the pinkette. He then knocked Natsu off balance. The pinkette landed on his butt.

"You almost had me there for a moment. I'm impressed to think you could push me back with that attack. That move is nothing but an accomplishment in my book," Drew's praise fell on deaf ears as Natsu grappled with his inner turmoil.

"Now with this spar over, I know how to properly train you."

Natsu's mind raced, his defeat a bitter pill to swallow. He had poured his heart and soul into the battle, yet it ended in resounding defeat. Drew's words echoed in his mind, stirring a mix of determination and uncertainty.

"Train me?" Natsu's words hung in the air, he always trained so how would this training he was being offered be any different from what he already does?

"Your strength is undeniable, but your moves lack finesse and focus. To face high-level mages, and to get stronger you must train your physical body to its peak limits, you must tap into your hidden power, and learn to use your magic in a more passive sense. You will need to learn to apply your magic when it come to using powered attacks. empowering each of your attacks with magic tends to drain you if you only fight recklessly and be ill prepared." Drew's words resonated with Natsu, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness of his doubts.

The spar was observed by everyone and they saw how the pinkette struggled against the hellfire dragon slayer, Natsu fought with his full power, and yet the outcome was something they didn't expect end in just a few minutes.

It was a completely one-sided match. From what they just witnessed, Natsu had no chance of beating Drew. The battlefield was a testament to his struggle, the ground scorched and torn asunder by Drew's relentless assault. As Natsu stood battered and defeated, he knew that this battle was far from over. He still felt his body rattled from the impacts his body felt with each attack he received from Drew. Each one felt like a heavy hammer slamming into him.

"Don't worry I'll show you rather than tell you how," Drew said as he then walked to where the others were. Drew then gives Natsu a special medicine, he takes it and wonders what it is. "its a special medicine made from herbs located in certain parts around Hearth City. It will help you heal from the damage you took in our earlier spar."

"Thank you, i really appreciate it." Natsu spoke as they looked onwards to the others.

As Melanie led Wendy to the sparring ground, an air of anticipation weighed heavily around them. Wendy's heart raced, her mind teetering between uncertainty and resolve. As they took their positions, Wendy felt the intensity of Melanie's gaze, her confidence wavering under the pressure of the Wind Dragon Slayer's unshakable poise.

"Alright, Wendy, it's your turn. Show me what you've got," Melanie's voice was firm, brimming with expectation, her eyes sharp with focus. Wendy's pulse quickened, her hands trembling from a blend of nerves and excitement.

"I want your strongest attacks—don't hold back," Melanie instructed, her tone clear and unyielding, a challenge laid before her. Wendy swallowed hard, determination battling self-doubt as she readied herself for the formidable opponent standing before her.

"O-Okay! I-I'll give it everything I've got!" Wendy's voice faltered, betraying her nerves. Sensing this, Melanie's gaze softened, offering silent encouragement. Wendy drew a steadying breath, focusing on her magic, summoning every bit of strength she had.

.

.

.

"Start!"

Wendy ignited her magic, three shimmering circles materializing between her outstretched arms. The air crackled with power as she chanted her enhancement buffs.

"lle Vernier x lle Arms x Armor!" Her voice rang out, infused with determination as her aura intensified. Melanie observed with interest, a smile playing at her lips as she anticipated the bluenette's next move. Wendy however due to her lack of stamina couldn't help but feel a sense exhaustion from her body since she isn't one to normally spar or fight.

"H-Here I come!" Wendy surged forward, her movements swift and determined. Melanie braced herself, ready for whatever the bluenette had in store. Wendy's leg shimmered with energy as she unleashed her first attack.

"Sky Dragon's Talon!" Wendy's voice rang out as her leg cut through the air, charged with the force of the sky. The power behind the attack was impressive, but Melanie, calm and composed, raised her hand and deflected it with a gentle tap, barely breaking a sweat. Her eyes narrowed slightly, not out of effort, but out of concentration—she was gauging Wendy's strength.

Wendy, undeterred by the ease with which Melanie blocked her strike, pressed on with renewed focus. Drawing in a deep breath, she unleashed one of her most powerful spells.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!" A massive blast of wind shot forth, the air swirling with incredible force as it barreled toward Melanie. In response, Melanie swiftly drew her katana, cutting through the blast with graceful precision. She felt the weight of Wendy's magic behind the attack but made no effort to overwhelm her. Instead, she allowed the force to wash over her, analyzing it—strong, but lacking refinement.

Wendy's frustration began to grow. Every spell, every attack was effortlessly countered. She could feel her strength draining as her determination wavered. Melanie remained still, observing closely. She wasn't just blocking—she was studying Wendy's movements, feeling the girl's potential with each spell she cast.

"Wind Dragon's Sonic Dance!" Melanie called softly, moving with the speed of the wind itself. She appeared behind Wendy in a blur, but instead of striking, she gently nudged Wendy off balance, allowing the spell's momentum to carry her forward. Wendy was tossed lightly through the air, unharmed but flustered. Melanie's voice was calm, almost maternal as she stepped back, giving Wendy space.

"You're strong, Wendy," Melanie said softly, her voice encouraging. "But you need to focus. Your attacks are powerful, but your stance wavers, and your timing is off. Don't rush—control the wind, don't let it control you."

With every move Wendy made, Melanie felt her strengths and weaknesses—the power behind her magic, the uncertainty in her footing, the flicker of doubt in her eyes. She could see the immense potential in the young Dragon Slayer, but she was holding back, not wanting to crush Wendy's spirit. This was a spar meant for growth, not dominance.

As Wendy's form descended, Melanie extended a steady hand, catching the bluenette before she could hit the ground. The exchange left Wendy stunned, her spirit tested but unbroken.

Melanie's calm demeanor belied the intensity of their spar, each moment a testament to the complex interplay between strength and strategy. As Wendy caught her breath, she knew that the battle was over. However Wendy felt that Melanie held back due to her own inexperience in combat.

"Okay, Wendy let's call it a day." Melanie dropped her stance and held her hand to Wendy who in return held her hand while panting. Wendy was drained of her magic power from casting all of those spells.

"Huh, what do you mean, Melanie-san?" Wendy's voice trembled with a mix of confusion and curiosity as she looked at the Wind Dragon Slayer.

Melanie approached Wendy with a compassionate smile, her gaze reflecting understanding and empathy. "I realized what I need to do to help you," Melanie began, her tone gentle yet resolute. "I'm going to be blunt with you, so please don't be offended."

Wendy nodded, her expression a blend of apprehension and hope, as she listened intently to Melanie's words.

"The reason why your magic wasn't able to scratch me comes down to two key factors," Melanie continued, her voice measured and compassionate. "Firstly, your magic is undeniably strong, but I noticed that when it comes to sparring, you tend to be incredibly nervous. Being anxious can hinder your ability to use your power to its full potential. I've seen happen many times to other mages I've come across and i want you to understand that its a major wall that can affect your growth as a mage."

Wendy's heart sank as Melanie's words struck a chord within her. Memories of past missions flooded her mind, reminding her of the moments when her nerves had gotten the better of her.

"Secondly," Melanie's voice softened, "I sense that you weren't properly trained enough in hand-to-hand combat. It's not a critique of your abilities, Wendy. You were just a child during those times, and circumstances were different. you were probably too young and most likely were never really taught the basic of your magic in terms of combat."

Wendy's eyes glistened with a mixture of sadness and determination as she absorbed Melanie's words. The Wind Dragon Slayer's assessment resonated with her on a deep level, stirring emotions that she had long kept buried.

Melanie's guidance offered Wendy a glimmer of hope amidst the shadows of self-doubt. As she grappled with the ghosts of her past and the uncertainties of the future, Wendy knew that her journey toward self-discovery and growth had only just begun.

She then looked at Melanie who then walked up to her and patted her head. Wendy was surprised at what Melanie was doing but decided to let the green-haired dragon slayer continue.

As Wendy contemplated Melanie's words, Raven approached, her voice carrying a sense of reassurance amidst the tension of the moment.

"We're going to go back to the city for now. You said that you wanted to study all those books and scrolls, right? Well, for now, you should do that. Who knows? Maybe you might learn more Dragon Slayer techniques and abilities," Raven suggested her tone a blend of encouragement and practicality.

Wendy nodded, appreciating Raven's perspective. The prospect of delving into her studies offered a glimmer of hope amid the uncertainty of her training regimen. With renewed determination, Wendy went back to the stands observe the last bout with the group. Among them was Ember Flintfang who was also curious to see how Gajeel would fare against Fenris.

As the match between Gajeel Redfox and Fenris Stormgale began, the group from Draco Fang buzzed with excitement and anticipation. Gajeel stood firm, his gaze locked on Fenris, sensing an air of familiarity and challenge in his opponent. Fenris' presence was imposing, and there was something about his demeanor that reminded Gajeel of his old superior in Fairy Tail being Laxus.

The signal to start the fight was given, and Fenris immediately sprang into action. His movements were a blur, a seamless blend of storm energy and agility. Gajeel's instincts flared, but Fenris was already on top of him.

"Storm Dragon's Claw!" Fenris shouted, sending a quick, electrified gust of wind toward Gajeel. The attack was fast and precise, and Gajeel barely had time to react, raising his iron claws just in time to block. The impact was sharp, and Gajeel stumbled back, his muscles tensing from the electric shock.

Fenris grinned, clearly enjoying the fight. He moved effortlessly, his eyes gleaming with an almost playful intensity. "You're quick," he said, his tone mocking yet calm. "Let's see how you handle this."

With a swift motion, Fenris unleashed his next spell.

"Storm Dragon's Roar!" a focused blast of storm energy from his mouth. The blast surged toward Gajeel with a crackling fury. Gajeel braced himself and met the attack with his own spell.

"Iron Dragon's Roar!" a powerful vortex of swirling iron shards and magic emerging from his mouth. The two forces collided with a thunderous roar, creating a shockwave that rattled the arena.

Fenris easily deflected next Gajeel's attack with a casual flick of his hand, his movements fluid and effortless. It was clear that he was toying with Gajeel, studying his moves with keen interest. Fenris had a remarkable ability to read his opponents, adapting and countering with a precision that was almost uncanny.

"You're strong," Fenris taunted, "but I've seen the way you move, you mannerisms, your posture, everything. your like an open book for me" He executed a series of quick, unpredictable movements, each attack testing Gajeel's defenses.

"Storm Dragon's Tempest!" Fenris roared, conjuring a swirling vortex of wind and lightning that surrounded Gajeel.

Gajeel tried to fend off the tempest with his "Iron Dragon's Scales," creating a protective coating of iron around himself. However, Fenris seemed to anticipate Gajeel's every move, his attacks slipping through the gaps in Gajeel's defense with ease. Gajeel was constantly on the back foot, struggling to keep up with Fenris' relentless onslaught.

"You're making it too easy," Fenris remarked, his tone dripping with amusement. "Your moves are predictable. Let's see if you can surprise me."

Fenris continued to press the attack, he called out his next spell.

"Storm Dragon's Surge!" sending waves of storm energy crashing toward Gajeel. The force of the blasts overwhelmed Gajeel, pushing him back with each hit. Despite Gajeel's best efforts to counter with his basic iron dragon abilities, he couldn't seem to land a decisive blow.

Gajeel's frustration grew as Fenris danced around him, his every move calculated and precise. It was clear that Fenris was not just a powerful opponent but also a tactical genius, reading Gajeel's moves and exploiting his weaknesses with ease.

As the fight dragged on, Gajeel's movements became more strained. He could feel the sweat on his brow and the exhaustion in his muscles. Fenris' playful demeanor never wavered; he continued to toy with Gajeel, his attacks a constant reminder of his superior speed and strategic brilliance.

With a final, decisive move, Fenris unleashed a storm of lightning and wind with his next spell.

"Storm Dragon's Tempest Fury!" The attack engulfed Gajeel, sending him crashing to the ground with a deafening roar.

Gajeel lay there, gasping for breath, his body battered and his pride wounded. Fenris stood over him, a look of satisfaction on his face. "Good fight," he said, his tone condescending yet respectful. "You've got spirit, but you need more than that to keep up with me."

As Fenris walked away, Gajeel struggled to rise, the weight of the battle heavy on his shoulders. It had been a harsh lesson in facing an opponent who combined raw power with strategic brilliance, a reminder of the formidable challenge he had faced and the growth he needed to achieve. This was the second time he was unable to even fight back. This would wound his pride but at least he understood that when it came to facing Fenris or Laxus in the past, he preferred to spar with Fenris due to his ability to not give him a brutal beatdown. He would rather not relive another moment of that past encounter.

With Natsu, Gajeel and Wendy now done with their respective spars, they headed back to hearth City.

-Hearth City-

The journey back to Draco Fang seemed interminable, each step laden with the weight of uncertainty and anticipation. The sight of the city gates brought a mix of nostalgia and apprehension, a reminder of how far they had come since their humble beginnings as new wizards.

Entering the guild hall, they were greeted by curious glances and friendly faces, the atmosphere charged with anticipation. Dravis, ever eager for updates, approached with a hopeful grin, eager to hear their assessment.

"So... how did they do? Were they able to match you in any way?" Dravis's inquiry hung in the air, tinged with anticipation and curiosity.

Drew's assessment was blunt, his words carrying the weight of their collective judgment. "They need lots of improvements. When we fought them, I realized how much power they lacked. If they are to get any stronger, then we need to train them as if their lives depend on it."

Melanie, impatient as ever, eagerly endorsed their plan, her excitement palpable. "Then I believe we should go with 'That.' Is that a good plan?" she asked, her enthusiasm for the challenges ahead evident in her devilish grin.

Dravis considered their proposal carefully, his gaze was piercing and thoughtful. "If we do 'That,' then their chances of surviving will be at least 50 percent or less," he remarked, his tone somber. "Well, if you believe that they can make it, then do as you wish. If they can survive the experience, then we can go and teach them the advanced arts."

Melanie's ominous warning hung in the air, a stark reminder of the trials to come. As the slayers departed to prepare, Wendy's anxiety spiked, a sense of impending danger gnawing at her resolve.

"Okay, we're gonna begin in a few days, so you all better prepare yourselves. Cause you're going to go through the worst, most terrifying experience in your life," Melanie cautioned, her words echoing with certainty.

Lindsey and the others exchanged wary glances, silently acknowledging the challenges ahead. Meanwhile, Melanie busied herself with preparations, her pen scratching against parchment, mapping out the arduous path that lay before them.

-Hearth City Inn-

Amidst the hushed confines of Draco Fang dorms, a palpable tension lingered, thick with the weight of impending trials. Natsu, Wendy, Happy, and Carla, along with their comrades, moved with purpose, their every action a testament to the gravity of the challenges that loomed ahead. They didn't know what awaited them but what they did hear is that in this trial, they could actually die. They didn't know if anyone actually died in the trial but just hearing to rumor itself made them prepare.

Natsu's hands moved with practiced efficiency as he gathered his gear, his brow furrowed in quiet contemplation. Across the room, Wendy meticulously organized her belongings, her movements betraying a nervous energy that danced upon the edges of her composure. Gajeel, a silent guardian amidst the preparations, stockpiled every piece of metal within reach, his determination etched into each calculated movement.

Happy, perched on a nearby table, flapped his wings impatiently. "Aye! This is gonna be awesome! We'll crush it for sure!" His exuberant cheer was a stark contrast to the somber mood, though it was a welcome distraction.

Carla, sitting calmly beside Wendy, her white fur sleek and immaculate, cast a knowing glance towards her partner. "Happy, not now. Wendy's obviously worried." Her voice was soothing, a gentle reminder of her mature and perceptive nature.

As they convened to ensure their readiness, Wendy's anxiety bubbled to the surface, her fears threatening to engulf her.

"Hey, Wendy... is something bothering you?" Natsu's voice sliced through the silence, his concern a beacon amidst the encroaching darkness. In a moment of vulnerability, Wendy poured forth her deepest apprehensions, her voice trembling with uncertainty.

"I'm scared that if we go then we'll die," she confessed, her words hanging heavy in the air, laden with the weight of her fears.

Natsu's heart ached at her admission, his doubts momentarily eclipsed by her vulnerability.

"Don't worry, Wendy. I know that we'll survive. Besides, we have each other and the others. So, whatever happens, don't be scared," he reassured her, his voice a steady anchor amidst the upcoming storm.

Happy hovered nearby, his eyes wide with concern. "Yeah, and I'm here too! I'll make sure everyone stays safe with my flying skills!" He added, trying to bolster Wendy's spirits with his usual enthusiasm.

"…okay, just don't leave me alone, please?" Wendy's plea echoed through the room, a whispered prayer for solace in the face of uncertainty. Natsu's response was resolute, his vow a testament to his unwavering loyalty.

"Don't worry, I promise to stay by your side until the test ends and that's a promise."

"Yeah we got your back." Sting spoke in reassurance.

"As long as we are careful, we should be able to handle this trial." Rouge spoke knowing that being careful and strategic is a way to keep from messing up.

Carla's gentle purr provided a comforting backdrop. "We're all in this together. Let's face it head-on, just like we always do."

As Wendy departed, her burden lightened by Natsu's steadfast presence, and Happy and Carla's unwavering support, he sank onto his bed, his thoughts consumed by the events that had led them to this precipice. The air hummed with anticipation, a quiet undercurrent of determination threading through the guild hall as they braced themselves for the trials that lay ahead.

-The next day-

The journey down the mountain path was fraught with treacherous twists and turns, each step a precarious dance between life and death. Natsu and the others trailed behind Drew and Melanie, their figures silhouetted against the rugged beauty of the landscape. Raven and Lindsey flanked them, their stoic presence a testament to their unwavering resolve.

As they reached the clearing bathed in the warm embrace of sunlight, Drew's voice shattered the tranquility, ushering in a new chapter fraught with peril.

"Okay, since the master is busy, I'll explain how the test will start," Drew's words hung heavy in the air, a harbinger of the challenges that lay ahead.

"We will teleport you with a spell to the valley down below. And this valley is rather dangerous, considering it's on the top 10 lists of places in Fiore that mages must never go to."

The revelation sent a shiver down their spines, the weight of their predicament pressing down upon them like a suffocating blanket. Melanie stepped forward, her voice a beacon of guidance amidst the encroaching darkness.

"To survive this test, you must be aware of your surroundings," Melanie's words carried a solemn weight, each syllable a reminder of their vulnerability.

"And since you are all Dragon Slayers, use your enhanced senses to pinpoint enemies and find supplies. Know that danger lurks in every corner, and that one mistake could cost you your life."

Natsu's resolve hardened, his determination burning bright amidst the encroaching shadows. Melanie's advice resonated within him, a lifeline amidst the uncertainty that loomed before them.

"Now then, the test begins now," Drew's declaration shattered the silence, casting a pall of anticipation across the clearing. With a surge of magic, the lacrima ignited, its arcane glow illuminating the path that lay before them. The magic circle beckoned, a gateway to the unknown awaiting their descent.

As the group vanished into the unknown depths below, leaving behind a palpable silence that echoed through the clearing, Lindsey's voice pierced the stillness, laden with doubt and concern, a reflection of the gravity of their situation.

"Do you honestly think they will succeed?" Her words hung heavy in the air, a question that lingered like an ominous cloud overhead. For Lindsey, the prospect of their survival seemed uncertain, a fragile thread dangling precariously amidst the looming shadows.

Melanie's response was measured, tempered by the harsh realities of their world and the lessons imparted by her draconic mentor. "We will have to leave it up to them," she remarked her tone a blend of stoicism and pragmatism. "If they die, then that means they didn't have what it takes to make it. But if they live and make it back, then they will most likely have what it takes to get even stronger."

Her words resonated with the weight of experience, a testament to the trials and tribulations that shaped their journey. As they turned to leave, Melanie's gaze lingered on the spot where their comrades had vanished, a silent prayer whispered into the ether, acknowledging the harsh realities they faced while harboring hope for their safe return.

-Down below in the valley-

In the heart of the valley, amidst the verdant expanse that stretched as far as the eye could see, Natsu and his companions found themselves enveloped in an eerie silence, broken only by the rustling of leaves and the distant echo of unseen dangers lurking within the shadows.

Natsu's voice pierced the stillness, his tone laced with a hint of skepticism as he surveyed their surroundings.

"So this is the valley, huh? Doesn't look as dangerous as I thought," he mused, his words betraying the uncertainty that lingered in the air like a shroud of impending peril.

Wendy, ever vigilant, interjected with caution.

"We must tread carefully. The tranquility of this place belies the dangers that lie beneath its surface. We should find a secure location to rest and gather our bearings before we proceed," she urged her voice a beacon of reason amidst the uncertainty that loomed ahead.

Gajeel, ever the embodiment of bravado, shrugged nonchalantly.

"Let's not waste time standing around. We'll see what this valley has to offer, and we'll deal with it as we go," he remarked, his bravado masking the trepidation that gnawed at their collective resolve.

Their respite was short-lived, shattered by the sudden intrusion of chaos as a deafening roar shattered the tranquility of the valley. Before they could react, a monstrous chimera-like creature loomed before them, its menacing presence casting a shadow of fear across their path.

"What was that?!" Natsu's voice rang out, a mixture of alarm and defiance as the group found themselves confronted by an imminent threat. With urgency, they fled, their footsteps echoing against the unforgiving terrain as they sought refuge from the encroaching danger.

As they pressed onward, the valley revealed its true nature, a labyrinth of perilous terrain and unseen terrors lurking within the shadows. From the dense foliage emerged creatures of nightmare, their eyes gleaming with hunger as they stalked their prey with ruthless intent.

Amidst the chaos, Natsu's fiery determination burned bright, his resolve unyielding even in the face of adversity.

"If we survive this, Gajeel, I'll kick your ass!" he declared his words a testament to the camaraderie that bound them together in survival.

As the valley echoed with the sounds of battle and the cries of the hunted, Natsu and his companions faced a trial unlike any other, where danger lurked at every turn and survival was far from assured. Yet amidst the darkness, they found strength in each other, their bonds forged in adversity.

Their journey through the valley would test not only their strength and resilience but also the bonds that held them steadfast in the face of insurmountable odds. And as they ventured deeper into the heart of darkness, they knew that their true test had only just begun.

-A week later-

Amidst the anticipation lingering in the room, Drew and Melanie exchanged knowing glances, silently agreeing on the necessity to check on their comrades who had ventured into the valley.

"Let's see how they did," Melanie chimed in, her voice a blend of curiosity and concern.

Raven, standing nearby, nodded in agreement, his eyes reflecting the collective sentiment of the group.

With a determined nod, Drew activated the Lacrima, its ethereal glow illuminating the room as he focused his magical senses, searching for any traces of their fellow Slayers amidst the vast expanse of the valley.

The air grew tense as Drew's concentration deepened, his mind attuned to the faint magical signatures lingering in the air. After what felt like an eternity, he finally summoned the signatures back, their presence materializing before the group in a shimmering display of light.

"You guys look like you've seen better days," Melanie observed, her gaze sweeping over the returning Slayers, her concern evident in her voice.

Natsu, bearing the visible marks of battle, stood stoically, his fiery determination undimmed despite the injuries he bore. Gajeel, usually the picture of resilience, winced as he nursed a broken arm, a testament to the trials they faced. Wendy and the others, though less visibly wounded, wore the signs of their ordeal in the form of torn clothing and bruised flesh.

"Well, it looks like you guys survived. So congratulations, you passed the test," Melanie declared, a note of pride mingling with relief in her voice. The group had exceeded expectations, proving their mettle in the face of adversity.

As the initial tension began to ebb, other members of the guild approached their expressions a mix of curiosity and camaraderie.

Lindsey, her eyes bright with concern, stepped forward, encouraging the weary Slayers.

"You did great out there. We were all rooting for you," she said, her voice infused with genuine admiration.

Dravis, the guild master, approached, his presence commanding attention as he surveyed the group with a mix of pride and reassurance.

"You've all shown tremendous courage and resilience. This is just the beginning of your journey," he remarked, his words carrying the weight of experience and wisdom.

Drew, taking charge, stepped forward, his demeanor both authoritative and compassionate.

"For now, it's time to get you guys patched up," he announced, gesturing for the weary Slayers to follow as they made their way back to the sanctuary of the guild.

As the group departed, a sense of camaraderie and unity filled the air, a reminder of the bonds that held them together in both times of triumph and adversity. they managed to survive such a challenge and they will continue to do so.

-Draco Fang Infirmary-

As Melanie's healing magic enveloped them, Natsu and the others felt the weight of their injuries dissipate, replaced by a surge of revitalizing energy. The wounds, a testament to their recent trials, now faded under Melanie's skilled hands.

Sting and Rouge, their expressions softened by relief, expressed their gratitude to Melanie, recognizing not just her magical prowess but also the warmth of her compassion. Melanie's eyes, gleaming with satisfaction, conveyed a silent understanding and reassurance to the group.

Meanwhile, Lindsey, meticulous in her care, ensured they were tidied up, her attention to detail a reflection of her nurturing demeanor. Each bandage she applied, every wound she tended to, was imbued with an unspoken promise of healing and protection.

Wendy, her voice tinged with hope, expressed a longing for respite after the arduous trials they endured. Her eyes, however, sparkled with anticipation, eager to embark on the next phase of their journey. The weight of responsibility sat lightly on her shoulders, a testament to her unwavering resolve.

However, their mentors had other plans in store. Drew, his gaze unwavering yet encouraging, declared, "Your resilience in the valley speaks volumes of your potential. Now, it's time to further unlock your capabilities through focused training."

Gajeel, mirroring the confusion of the group, sought clarity on their next steps. Melanie nodded, her resolve unwavering as she outlined their path forward.

"Your survival has earned you the right to advance to the next stage of your training. Now, it's time to hone your skills and strengthen your bonds as a team."

With determination burning within them, the Slayers stood ready to embrace the challenges that lay ahead. But amidst the preparations, a new presence emerged.

Stepping forward, Raven and Lindsey, the void and silver dragon Slayers, formally integrated themselves into the group. Their arrival signaled a shift in dynamics, a merging of destinies that would shape the course of their journey.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Lindsey Emilia, wielder of Silver Dragon Slayer Magic," Lindsey spoke with grace and poise, her demeanor reflecting the refinement of a well-mannered girl. At twelve years old, she shared Wendy's age, her innocence tempered by a sense of maturity beyond her years.

Raven followed suit, her laid-back charm evident as she introduced herself.

"And I'm Raven Voidsong, a practitioner of Void Dragon Slayer Magic," she said with perky enthusiasm, her easygoing nature shining through. Also twelve years old, her personality was a unique blend of charm and charisma. The air she had was in resemblance to that of a tomboy.

Their introductions marked the beginning of a new chapter, a chapter filled with promise and potential. With their inclusion, the group felt a renewed sense of unity and purpose, strengthened by the bonds they shared and the challenges they had overcome.

And amidst it all, Wendy, Lindsey, and Raven felt a special connection blossoming between them, laying the foundation for a sister-like relationship that would endure through every trial and triumph.

The guild hall once shrouded in the echoes of uncertainty, now hummed with the promise of adventure. As the Slayers embarked on their next journey, they carried with them the bonds forged in battle and the camaraderie born of shared adversity.

For in the world of magic and mystery, it was the strength of their unity that would carry them through the darkest of nights and into the light of a new dawn.
