Chapter 9
The red and blue flash their lights as police are at the scene. Sheriff Keller thought he had seen it all.
"What we got?" Sheriff Keller spoke to his deputy.
"His name is Joesph Honson, and he was a Chicago accountant. Though in public eyes, they called him Hulda."
"Tell me why that specific name Hulda?"
"Well, the actual name is based on Huldah a prophetess mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. She was supposed to be a spiritual leader connected to God's voice and his work." The Deputy then quickly makes the next statement. "Anyway, he was wanted in several accounts for assault, rape, and murder."
Sheriff looked at his criminal reports. Forensic departments are checking the weapon this supposed attacker would be.
A big scythe.
They check his ID and turns out; he has been wanted in all of Europe and several countries.
"Who are his intended targets?" The deputy pointed out where the ambulance van was.
He checked the medical team as they cleaned the wounds and checked for anything. They are taking full care of this.
Sheriff sighs as he sees Jughead Jones and Hannah Winchester. They managed, Jughead's hand as his wound was not deep for any stitches. Hannah places ice bang on her head as she leans onto Jughead's shoulder. Her bones were sprained, but not broken bones thank god.
The sheriff came to them as his other officer was writing their report on this assault.
"The guy came out of nowhere." Hannah started it off. "We don't know why, but we did feel we were being followed, but Jughead realized it was just Mr. Jackson."
"Then what happened?"
"We were relieved, but it was short-lived. Turns out, he was hiding behind the back alley. He took hold of my jacket and threw me off."
"So you have no idea who he is or have any of you seen him before?"
Jughead stuttered a bit and cleared his throat.
"No, we've never seen him before." Though his mind recalled that word he said to him. "A Grimm!"
Why was he called that?
Or better yet, what is he?
Uncle Fred came right away as some other greaser jacket guy came with him.
"Hannah!" He panted and went to his niece to squeeze her in his hug. He was so worried something happened to her. He lost his sister, and he is not losing his niece.
"Son," He came to check on jughead as he turned to Sheriff Keller, "What the hell happened? Who attacked them?" FP will find that asshole and make him regret tackling his son.
"Calm down, FP." He calmed the Southern serpent down. He could understand that as a parent he would do anything to protect his child. "They're lucky that they managed to get away from him as a truck driver hit him on the street."
'Wait, son?!' Hannah gaped surprised as she was meeting his dad. She just wishes it was under better circumstances. Now that she sees the resemblance it was like looking at the older version of Jughead. Ooh, that means she will remain attractive to Jughead forever.
That seemed to cheer her up a bit.
They got the deceased criminal in a body bag.
As they rolled him away.
Sheriff then explained to them, "Look, the criminal is dead. He was hit by a truck driver for a late-night shift delivery." He gestured to a truck driver named Dave that is talking to a female officer. "This case is over. I would suggest you take your children home and take a day off if you want."
Fred nodded and said, "Thank you, sheriff. Hannah let's go."
"But…" She looked back at Jughead worried.
"Now, Hannah." She sighed as Fred was not in the mood for arguments. Jughead said, "It's okay. We'll talk tomorrow." He waved at his girlfriend.
FP Jones looked at Jughead curiously then back at Hannah.
Woah, boy.
His son is dating her. Guess history repeats itself. FP was about to question him but paused as he recognized those eyes.
Though, he saw the eyes in his son's eyes. He should have known that his son would inherit the " infinite darkness ". He hoped that his kid was normal like Jellybean, but it seemed his genes were stronger in boys.
He sighed and decided to tell Jughead.
"Son," Jughead looks at his dad.
"It's time for me to tell you the truth."
He shouldn't have told Jughead a long time ago, but he held back since he had a normal childhood. Sadly, it is time for a new Grimm to take over.
The next morning,
Hannah was given a day off from school as Fred told her she could. She called and text messaged her dad, Sam, and Uncle Bobby. Hell, she even prayed to Castiel to answer her SOS call.
Nothing.
It was all night she tried to wait for any response.
Now, she is under a so-called house arrest.
However, she was bored as she had to wait for Archie to come home. She cannot leave without freaking Uncle Fred up.
Finally, a phone call.
Hannah quickly picked it up and saw it was Uncle Bobby.
"Hey, Bobby." God, she is so glad someone picks up her phone call.
"Hey kid, now what is this SOS? Are you alright? No vampires, right?"
"No, I'm okay. First off, it was more about seeing someone."
"You are dating? Does Dean know? Or at least Sam?" She was hoping to avoid that but might as well.
"Okay, yes, I am seeing someone but get this. He is a Grimm."
"WHAT!?" She pulled her phone away from her ear as he yelled. Putting her phone back to her ear.
"Look, I get that Winchesters don't always get along with them."
"Don't get along? Look, kid, Grimms are the loose cannons. They are wild cards. Worse, for some of us they are considered that they are outcasts or demigods among hunters."
"Look, Uncle Bobby, we can historically make a list of why Grimms are dangerous, but there were Reapers after me."
"Reapers? How did they find you?"
"I don't know. Maybe, the supernatural community is starting to put the pieces together over what happened to me. Now that they know that Jughead is a Grimm, they are probably spreading the word that there is one Winchester and one Grimm in town." Hannah did recall that few members of the hunter society gossip worse than housewives.
"Jughead? Is that the name of your boyfriend?"
"Yes."
"Who the hell names their kid Jughead?"
"Wow, I gave you the drama over the Reapers hunting and finding me. The name Jughead is what I can get a response from you?" She deadpanned over her boyfriend's name.
"You're right. Sorry."
"Don't mention it."
"Look, what I can do is call and see if Dean and Sam can come and check on Riverdale. If not, I can go over there and check myself over this Grimm. I mean, you are a kid and you still don't know anything about their kind yet."
"Thank you, Uncle Bobby. I can always go to you for help."
"Now, don't get too comfortable kid, you are not out of the woods. Remember you are the one who has to break the news that you have a boyfriend. And knowing Dean he will get his shotgun and try to shoot him."
"And him being Grimm?"
"…"
"Uncle Bobby?"
"…. Just be prepared if you are single again." Click.
Okay, that was weird.
Hannah was about to take a shower when a text stopped her.
She almost ran back to her cell and saw. She read the text and then gasped. Ran to get her jacket and took her bike. Quickly text Archie and Uncle Fred that an emergency is needed.
Jughead sent her a text: "Another one is at the house. Trailer park SOS!"
Hannah rode her bike to the trailer park which was shocking as it sounded over why doesn't Jughead move back to his family home.
She stopped and dropped her bike as she was about to knock on the door. The door burst and out came FP Jones. Woah, he is super scary right now.
"You Hannah?"
"yeah?"
"In." Hannah quickly entered as Jughead was sitting on the couch. Jughead smiled but stopped as he saw his dad look. Hannah quickly went to his side and took hold of his hand.
FP sits on his couch chair.
"Hannah, right?" She nodded.
She realized that the text wasn't from Jughead at all. She figured it was his dad to made her come here and like an idiot, she did not second guess a chance of being tricked.
"Now what kind of talk should we discuss?"
Hannah felt nervous. Maybe Uncle Bobby was right. She was better off single.
"That I am not part of a detective agency." She cringed as FP looked at her. He waves his hand to 'keep going.'
Well, the jig is up.
Luckily, she decided to bring her Winchester heirloom. A dagger with a flaming circle pentagram pressed on the steel. It was to make sure there wasn't any other Reaper here.
She passed it to Jughead. He took hold of it, he looked at her dagger curiously.
The detailed words of Latin.
"Monstra propiora sunt quam apparent."
In Latin, it means that "monsters are closer than they appear."
Jughead recalled his Latin lesson back when his dad used to make his family go to church.
Hannah spoke, "In our line of family business, saving humans, hunting things is our job to continue its job. The Winchester Family are Men of Letters and hunters. My mom came from the long deadlines of Hunters too. The Andrews used to be the top hunters before they became a dying breed."
Jughead looked at her shocked. "Is Mr. Andrew and Archie?" Could it be true?
Hannah shook her head. "No, at least I don't see the signs of it. I doubt that, but after meeting you I could guess the chances of late bloomers maybe. Mom even mentioned that her father was a hunter too."
Now onto his father's confession.
She throws a hidden swish knife at FP to check if he can confirm her theory.
SWISH!
In the slow-motion air, FP watches almost bored then grabs it with ease. He looked at the swish knife as he gotta hand it to her. This one has the guts to go against Grimm.
Then back to normal motion Jughead flinched and shouted, "Woah!" He could see in slow motion but at such an easy catch. How the hell did he do that?
FP spoke, "I guess you knew."
"You're a Grimm too." She got to be a fool as she had hoped that he was a human who got involved with a possible partner who was a Grimm. But who would have thought it was he that is a Grimm?
FP sighed and gave back the swish knife to her. "Yes."
Jughead's eyes widened. "What the hell is going on?"
Welp! He can guess he should call this even as Hannah exposed him in favor. Might as well get this out of the way.
"You remember all those scariest stories you wanted to hear when you were a kid," Jughead remembered. When he was kid, he would beg his dad to tell him his stories despite he often said, "You know your mum would kill me if I told you those stories." But at the pleading of Jughead, he told him stories.
Stories about how the Jones family line dealt with monsters called Wesen.
And they can see these Wesen as humans are blind to see their true face.
FP pulled out his big book.
He opened and showed Jughead a few stories he liked to hear.
Blutbad was titled as they showed him sketches. Showing its features as wolf-like carnivores and a list of habitats. They showed weakness and how many times Grimms had encountered them.
"Wolf-like creatures. They have an incredible sense of smell that can only be weakened by an herb called Wolfsbane.
Blutbaden are often violent in packs, especially when they see red. Their physical weak spot is on the lower back, an area of the lumbar vertebrae with a cluster of nerves. In between kills, Blutbaden fatten up their victims because they typically go a week between meals."
Jughead remembers that word. It was like his favorite story because his dad told him that his grandfather had hunted one down decapitated his head and burned down his den. It reminded him of a darker version of Red Riding Hood. His dad even told him that his ancestor was Little Red Riding Hood, but the story is misinterpreted as the main character is a little girl, but the truth is she was an eighteen-year-old spinster who killed that wolf in revenge for her grandmother.
He turns his next page The last time it was written was signed by his grandfather's name and his brief story:
"As I was taking my son FP to his first hunting. We tracked that dog down as he kidnapped a little girl who wore a red jacket, and we fought him off. I pulled a trigger and shot his shoulder as he showed his woge to reveal his true face. As I told FP to find that girl while I fought off the beast.
I managed to hit him on his side, but only for a brief moment. That bastard threw me off and was about to end my life. FP pulled a trigger and shot at him through his head.
BANG! I watched his body drop to the ground pull out my sword and decapitate his head.
Looking at my son, I can relax now.
Now that I can leave the legacy behind of being Grimm."
- Forsythe Pendleton Jones I
Jughead observed the summary and looked at Hannah and his dad.
Hannah spoke, "I guess it's better late than never right." She swore that she did want to tell him, but thinking back to her family record. They lose their loved ones faster than a speeding bullet. Especially, they probably are bait or demon-possessed humans trying to kill them.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He observed them.
Hannah sighs, "Well, to be honest. I was hopping never, but then again Dad said, "The best truth about relationships is to witness you fighting off as a hunter."'
"Great advice." Jughead sarcastically said. He couldn't help but wish to never meet her dad.
FP had to agree. "Sounds like a wise man." And people said Jughead wasn't related to him.
Hannah pursed her lips. "To be fair, if he had his way I would die alone."
Both Jones men shrugged in agreement then leaned back in a lazy attitude.
"So, son, what do you think? I would suggest thinking carefully because those monsters don't wait to kill you." FP should know over the fact why he drinks cause he wants to erase the horrors of what those monsters had done and the humans he failed to save.
It is a heavy burden to carry.
A curse.
A responsibility.
Jughead looked down. He wonders if can he do this
.
But then again, he thought back to what that troll with a scythe had said.
"A Grimm!"
He knew that he might be the first attacker, but he wouldn't be the last.
And looking at Hannah's family line, it's in the blood.
Or worse a curse to walk in the line where they are separated from humans and supernatural.
"I would understand if you don't want this." Hannah understands that this is not a life everyone wants. He took hold of her hand as she looked at him.
Jughead smiled and nodded. He looked at FP and said, "Dad, can you how to fight?"
FP looked at Jughead and said, "We will practice tomorrow morning."
That settles it.
Jughead will now take the ropes of being a Grimm. But Hannah had to forward the warning.
"This should come from me, but I should warn you ahead of the start. My dad and Uncle Sam might come to Riverdale. There is a chance that they wanted to see Grimm. Or if we are lucky which I doubt, Uncle Bobby will come instead." She might as well put a bullet in their head because they rather not.
"WHAT!?" FP and Jughead shouted.
Yeah, great start, but boy do they have awful timing.
Days later…
Jughead yawned in exhaustion.
Hannah leaned on him as he wrapped around her shoulder close to him.
"Rough week?" She questioned him though he could tell she was smug.
"Haha." He sarcastically voiced out his laughter. She knows that FP was teaching him how to fight and boy was it hard.
No wonder his dad had rough nights. Boy, was his dad strict or what?
FP would say, "Focus." Or "Never hold back! Or else that will be your last mistake when you're dead."
His dad showed his silver bullet trailer where all weapons, potions, and books are passed down from generation to generation. Lots and lots of books to give him knowledge over the Wesens world. Previous Grimms had experiences and passed their knowledge to the next Grimm.
Jughead was in awe and for the moment he felt like he had gotten to know his dad for the first time.
Betty came to them as she spoke, "Hey how are you guys? I heard what happened."
"Let us guess, the whole town knows right?" Hannah noticed that everything they did was that it affected their little town.
"Yeah," They walked as Betty informed them that Polly moved to Veronica's home to start a baby shower. Hannah wonders if this is such a good idea. After all, Polly is a new mom and requires positive energy not negative like her parents or the Blossoms.
"Are you sure? I mean remember Polly can decide if she wants to invite or even have a baby shower." She recalls that Polly has a choice.
"Yes, plus we can show her that we are supporting her as a mother." Betty is more than happy to bring Polly closures.
Betty pulled out a piece of paper. "here is the address plus some list of things you can bring." The class bell rings. "Bye, guys."
Hannah looked at the list and Jughead. "How much do you want to bet that this is more of Betty's dream ideas for her future baby shower?"
"Simple. Let's see if we can drink." He opened the door for their English class. Time for the start of a day.
Hannah went home and saw a few bills on the table. Fred's construction work is not doing well lately. Hannah looked and then startled when Fred came to the kitchen.
"Oh, ah..." Fred doesn't want to bring problems to Hannah.
"Is something wrong with business?"
Fred waved off her concerns. "Don't worry about sweetie. It's just a slight pullback." More than a pullback, he is losing business and fast.
He then changed the subject and saw a piece of paper with baby shower written on it.
"Baby shower?" Fred looked at the list. Hannah responded, "Yeah, Betty is planning a Baby shower for Polly."
"Polly is back with her family?" Fred is sort of worried if that is okay.
"No, more like she is hiding at Veronica's home right now."
"Ah, well that's nice." Hannah looked at him and asked, "You can come if you like."
Fred smiled. "Well, it is a special occasion, and you do need help finding a diaper bag?"
"It is for a lottery in case someone wins." It is a traditional game to use diaper baggies as a lottery to see who wins.
Fred nodded his head. That does sound like fun.
They went to the store to gather some of the supplies for the baby shower and gifts for Polly and the babies.
Fred drove Hannah to the lodge's home and they took the elevator.
Hermione Lodge answered the door, 'Oh Fred and who's this?"
She seemed like a nice lady. A nice lady who compared to Lamia is way nicer. Hannah kept the thought to herself.
"I'm Hannah. Hannah Winchester." She shook her hand which was a good grip. "Woah, nice handshake." Hermione Lodge complimented her. Hannah carried the stuff for the baby shower.
"Sorry about that." Fred carried the party supplies for the baby shower. "My niece is still not used to strangers around."
"Oh, I understand. New town and new people she never met before."
Veronica greeted Hannah. "Hey, you came?"
"Yeah, for the supplies." She showed the party supplies to help around the place. They quietly get to work to put up balloons and banners.
Veronica couldn't help but see Hannah for the first time. After all, they survived an assaulter and had to miss school a bit.
"So how have you been?"
Let's see, getting attacked by a Reaper of assassins, discovery Jughead is a Grimm, his father is also a Grimm slash teacher to Jughead to be a Grimm, he found out that she is a hunter and wondering if her dad will come to see her and possibility killing Jughead to be single.
"Good." Hannah then added, "I told Uncle Fred that I am dating Jughead."
'Oh,' she silences her mouth like that. Veronica nodded and she could tell that something else had happened.
"And?"
"I was blindsided into integration with jughead's dad which I believe I met his approval in continue seeing jughead." At least in Hannah's mind, she got approved by FP.
She has her sympathies. Veronica decided.
"What does Archie say about this?"
Hannah thought for a moment.
"I think he is typically weirded out. So, that is the start." The girls looked at each other and then returned to blowing up balloons.
Fred Andrews talked to Hermoine Lodge.
"I swear I thought I knew what I was getting into, but…" Fred spoke as he hung the banner. Hermoine spoke, "Come on, Fred. I recall your sister went through similar arguments with your dad once."
"That was different." He tied the strings and said, "They argue about her whether or not she goes to college."
"Jughead is a good kid, but dating is a different story." Fred then looks at Hermoine as she hands him a nail. "I think she does this knowing it was on purpose."
She shook her head. "Come now, she doesn't."
"Yes, she does." He argues.
"No, she likes him, and he is good to her." She helps straighten out the letters.
"I recall Angie your sister dated someone similar to him."
Fred rolled his eyes, "Yeah, don't remind me. And dad was more likely to grab his hunting gear and take him on a hunting trip to murder him. I swear he was planning it."
His dad was always protective of his daughter and disliked any boys near her. Fred was in matter of opinion and agreed with him.
"He did not." Hermoine smiled and laughed. Typical Andrews trying to keep their woman with him until they are old and grey.
"Okay, not murder. But more like scared him to leave. Yet that didn't work, and Angie still managed to sneak out of the house."
"Yes, I remember." Hermione laughed and said, "She told me that she was dating the hot stranger and future husband, Dean Winchester." She remembered Dean Winchester would park at Riverdale wearing his leather jacket and he was hot. All the girls were like cats in heat. She swears if she wasn't married, she napped him right off the bat. Angelina and Hermoine would giggle at Dean whenever he winked his eye at them.
Hermoine missed her old friend.
When she first saw Hannah, it was like looking back into the past. She looked more like her mother every day. She was saddened that she died.
"My dad strictly said, and I quoted, "My daughter is not getting on that car with that punk." Fred fondly shook his head. "Next thing, I know. She got married right off the bat."
Hermoine wondered what made Dean Winchester marry Angie right off the bat. It was after graduation, and she left right away. No warnings or phone calls after that.
But she seemed happy with Dean.
Fred smiled briefly, "Yeah and I thought it was his way to protect my sister from punks like him. I swear she has a weakness for bad boys with leather jackets, no rules apply, and cool rides. Compared to her, she was a straight-A student, head cheerleading squad, treasurer for the debate team, and waitress at Pop's."
Hermoine smiled and said, "Yet she never dated any guys back in Riverdale High."
"No she tried, but they never managed to keep her interest. I think because she felt that they would drag her down. Keep her here in this town forever." He lost his smile for a brief thought. He remembered how she hated staying in this small town and wanted to leave.
Take a car and never look back.
"I know." Mrs. Lodge said. "Now let's get ready to make this party fun."
The party tonight was fun and peaceful.
Hannah decided to buy a gift from Baths and Body Works. A big basket gift full of honey-flavored soaps, perfumes, body orders, scrubs, and shampoos.
Polly looked happy. "This is mostly for the mama, but the other bag is for the baby for both to enjoy."
Polly hugged Hannah thanking her. Jughead came and kissed her on the cheek. Hannah smiled at him and leaned her head onto his chest.
Suddenly, The Baby Shower finally commenced as people arrived at the Pembrooke apartment. Polly was reuniting with several of her other friends that she hadn't seen in months, such as Valerie and Melody.
Hannah was putting some of the sweets on the tables alongside Betty.
"So far so good," Winchester said as she sipped her water bottle.
"Yeah, isn't it great?" Betty and Hannah looked at saw Polly happily catching up with her friends.
Then come back with a surprise. Alice Cooper came to the party.
"Huh, I guess the wicked witch of the West has appeared," Hannah commented and Jughead snorted.
"Mom!" Betty went to her mom happy about her coming.
"Polly, look, Mom's here!" Betty announced to Polly as she stood beside her. Oh boy. Not a good sign. Polly is not happy.
Hannah went to say as she grabbed a cake slice for Polly.
"Hey, Polly, first-time moms always get the first bite of her cake." Distracting Polly is what she needs right? Polly snapped out of her mind and nodded, "Yeah, like they say it will be bad luck for me not to eat it." Polly nervously took a bit from her slice.
Hannah said, "I'll take the goodie bag, Mrs. Cooper." Alice nodded as she wanted to talk to her daughter.
She decided to take the bag to the table where the presents were.
"We're here!" The arrival of the Blossoms: Cheryl, Penelope, and Nana Rose.
"Oh shit," Hannah said as Jughead went to her side.
"No big deal, it's only the best stroller money can buy." They gift Polly with an expensive stroller.
"So expensive." It was Polly's justifiable reaction.
"All I ask in return is that you make me your baby's godmother." Cheryl wants to be named the child's godmother, unaware that Polly has already named Betty the godmother. Betty cleared her throat after hearing it.
"Kidding!" She added and both of them chuckled. "So not kidding."
Hannah greeted Nana Rose. "It's good to see you, Mrs. Rose."
"Oh, It is so good that you are still here." She greeted Hannah in return. Jughead greeted her as Nana Rose looked at him in a knowing eye. "I am glad you have awoken."
Jughead and Hannah tensed at her words. Gee, everything she said feels like she knows a lot.
But before they could say anything else. "Come on, Nana Rose, let's get you a good spot by the food. " Cheryl appeared and pushed her away.
Hannah whispered, "Is it me or does that look like she is jealous of us just now?"
Jughead looks at the bar, "Rum and coke."
"Yes~." She needs a drink.
As the party is good so far. Despite this, the Blossoms and Alice Cooper are still in the room. Hannah was kissing up to jughead in the kitchen. Yes, she is a little drunk, but more relaxed to kiss him.
Jughead likes this situation.
"Woah!" Veronica interrupted, which caused them to separate. They laughed a bit embarrassed.
"I hope you two keep this kitchen clean." The Lodge girl joked. God, she sometimes finds them cute together. "We cook and eat here you know."
"Don't worry, you and Archie can still have this spot," Hannah said laughing. Veronica looked blankly then smiled, "How drunk are you?"
"Not yet. Sadly, my poor boy here is watching me sober up a bit."
"Where are getting sober from his mouth?"
"Okay." Jughead interrupted and said, "We should get back at the party right now." He is flushed red as he took hold of her hand and walked out. While Veronica gave them a mocking 'Shame, shame.'
"This necklace reads the baby's aura." Nana Rose is holding Polly's hand.
Hannah watches curiously.
Everyone circled Nana Rose, where she took out a necklace "Predicts the sex." She told Polly.
She stood beside Veronica and Cheryl "Nana has dementia and gypsy blood." Cheryl stated, causing Veronica to look confused.
"Oh!" Nana Rose reacted.
"What?" Polly was concerned. " Is my baby, okay?"
"Babies." She spoke up. "It's twins." She announced, " One of each!"
Woah, double trouble.
Now she felt bad for Polly.
Now present time, she opened the baby gifts and saw cute little pjs for fall with cute patterns. She is lucky that she got one for a girl and one for a boy.
"Wow, one for each baby." Polly showed the clothing as all the people cooed.
Hannah nodded, "it's funny. I went and bought that because it was buy one get one free."
And to keep a guess over the gender sex.
"Okay, now Mom's," Betty announced before handing their mother's present.
Polly then opened the present. "It's my nightlight." She spoke." When I was a little kid." Some of the guests exclaimed again. "How did you... Where did you even..."
"I saved it." Her mother told her. " I know how much you loved it and how it made you feel safe." She explained. " And I wanted you to be able to pass it down to your own baby one day."
"Alice, it's lovely." Mrs. Lodge told her.
Cheryl's mom then spoke. "Open ours next, dear." She told Polly. She opened the gift, and it was a wooden horse. "That is a family heirloom. Great-grandfather Blossom used to play with it."
"Isn't it magnificent?"
Yeah, creepy. Thoughtful, but creepy.
"He did, he used to play with it all the time when he was little." Mrs. Blossom spoke, visibly sad about it.
"Oh, Polly, come stay with us at Thornhill." Suddenly, Cheryl spoke up.
"Cheryl's invitation is genuine." Her mom added. "Thornhill's gates will always be open to you." She stated. "The child would want for nothing." She made it clear. " You would want for nothing."
Hannah cringed as she saw this coming.
Alice happily fought back. No way, she will allow her daughter to go with them.
"Do you think that you can just waltz in here, with a bedbug-infested Trojan Horse, wave a blank check around, and steal my daughter?"
Hannah complimented, "Ooh, good one. A history for this feud over a maiden here."
Alice nodded firmly. Finally, someone agrees. Not!
Hannah just wanted to point out that Helen of Troy did not survive the war since she was the cause of it.
"I didn't think you wanted her, else why would she have been exiled like some pariah?" Mrs. Blossom quickly rebuffed.
"To keep her away from your family." Alice stood up from her chair.
"Oh..." Mrs. Blossom also stood up. "And not because you're ashamed?" She approached Alice. "Why is your daughter not living with you?"
"She's not going to set foot in that twisted, poisonous house of yours," Alice yelled in response.
"She should be so lucky." Cheryl stood and told Alice.
"Cheryl, that's not helping." Betty was quick to say it.
"She'd do a lot better there than with you." Mrs. Blossom stated.
"How dare you?" Alice asked her in a hostile tone.
Polly had enough!
"Stop it! Stop both of you!" Polly shouted shocking everyone. "Jason was supposed to be alive. This petty quarrel is the cause of it!"
Alice tried to reach her daughter, but she refused. "No, no don't touch me. We were supposed to be together."
She started to cry. "And you didn't let us have that, neither of you." She told both Alice and Penelope. "And you know it cost Jason his life." Polly then walked away from them.
"Polly." Her mother called her as she walked away.
Okay, time for this party to end. Hannah nodded and jughead followed her out. Since Uncle Fred wants her home after the party.
During the walk, Jughead spoke, "Wow. Nothing changes. The feud between their family."
Hannah snorted and said, "Well, it's part of their legacy. There's nothing you could do about it."
Jughead questioned, "I know it is a bad time to ask, but…" He hesitated and said, "Dad said, we were considered the biggest threats in a supernatural world. So, are we threats? At least to you guys?"
She sighed and said, "Hunters especially Winchesters had a feud with everyone even hunters millennium ago. Before we were merged to the hunter lineage by my grandmother's side, Mary Campbell who married into the family. So it's like a 50/50, but Grimms are what we see as wild cards because they used to hunt them down if they are showing their rogue side."
"Rogue side?"
"You know, breaking codes based on Hunter's society or in most cases showing too much appearance for humans to figure things out. In most cases, you be lucky to keep your humane side."
"How?"
Hannah stopped and looked at him.
"Find your anchor."
Jughead looked at Hannah as she said that. Find his anchor. He decided.
He kissed her slowly and romantically. Hannah replied calmly. They stopped as they hugged each other.
He decided that Hannah was his anchor. And he will protect her.
No matter what.
Elsewhere…
Phones rings.
Rinnnnngggggg. A male hand picks up his telephone on his desk.
"Yes?"
"Sir, we found him."
"Who?"
"Another Grimm."
"Where?"
"A place called Riverdale."
"I'll fly on the next plane. Keep watch."
"Yes sir."
He ended the call and pulled out his passport.
Showing only his name.
Sean Renard.
