Chapter 5
A drum sound finally woke them up, it was the palace announcing the defeat of the emperor to announce the change of the Mongols, the whole city knew about this, TalTal opened his eyes first and discovered that he still had Seung Nyang asleep on his chest, he looked at her for a moment until Seung Nyang woke up.
-The drums announce our departure, we must continue moving forward- TalTal replied, but Seung Nyang did not say a word.
Her makeup had completely faded after the rain, she was no longer cold and was surprised to have woken up next to her teacher, but he didn't seem bothered, Seung Nyang turned to look at her teacher's face and TalTal looked back at her, Seung Nyang felt completely snuggled by him, it was a few moments before she got up, but she could see in her teacher's gaze a little more tenderness than he normally looked at her with, that made her feel warm and supported.
She knew he had come back to save her and remembered her injuries, she got up from his lap and mentioned.
-Master, are you feeling better from your wounds? -
TalTal didn't show any uncomfortable look, he just smiled at her.
-I feel better, even if they didn't recover in a day, we still have to keep moving forward.
Seung Nyang understood what he meant.
-Let me check it- Seung Nyang commented.
TalTal leaned a little more against the wall and uncovered his chest. In the morning light, Seung Nyang could clearly see the extent of his wounds. He had been hurt, but they were not serious. She trusted that he would recover soon.
Seung Nyang pulled her master's upper robes aside a little further, realizing that she had never seen him in that position before and his muscles seemed to her to be the most attractive thing she could remember.
She carefully uncovered some bandages and Seung Nyang noticed that TalTal's wounds were recovering favorably, he was a strong man, she admired him for his strength and determination that he dedicated to his life.
Seung Nyang put the bandages back in place after cleaning him up and as she wrapped a bandage around her master's chest she slipped a little on the unstable cot on the floor, she was so close to her master and her heart started to beat very fast.
TalTal was stunned by the situation, but he had lost control of himself since Seung Nyang began to put the bandages on him, as he fell on her chest he felt the need to get closer to her and took her by the face, he did not consider that Seung Nyang had any interest in the position of the loss of his highness, but he still took her by the face to be able to see her gaze more closely.
Seung Nyang stepped away from him a little, her heart was beating strongly and she had to let TalTal know about this, she quickly got up and looked for her clothes on the other side of the cabin, TalTal put his tunic and armor back on, trying not to see her to give her space.
Already dressed, they left the hut in a hurry, it was still early but the Mongol army was still close to the palace, they left with the greatest caution in the direction of the village where Seung Nyang had ordered the closest servants to gather.
After walking for a while they were able to see the town in the distance. They knew that if they got closer they would be stopped by the enemy army. The tendency was to go around the forest to reach their destination, since Seung Nyang had ordered them to meet on the outskirts, they focused further inside the forest.
After seeing a large rock in the distance, Seung Nyang said that this was where her people gathered. She had previously sent scouts to find a safe place and they had found that place in a brief distraction, so it was easy to pass by the place. They entered the hidden cave and Seung Nyang was able to meet a few servants and servants who managed to flee the palace.
To all those servants who decided not to follow them, Seung Nyang gave them the freedom to leave and mingle with the townspeople, now with a small group that included her closest servants, Seung Nyang gave them instructions to infiltrate and mingle in the village, look for a new refuge and a new way to find a hidden path to the palace, that small group set out to find their target.
Both _ and _ stayed in the cave with Seung Nyang
As his closest servants, they decided to set up a small camp there while the other servants found a better shelter, _ went out to explore the surroundings and _ went out to look for more herbs that would help in the recovery of TalTal, thus, they were left alone in the cave.
-This place is quite hidden in the shadows- TalTal said.
-I sent the servants to find hidden places long ago- Seung Nyang replied.
TalTal nodded, finding it interesting how Seung Nyang had managed to find new places to escape to, he greatly liked the high level of preparation Seung Nyang handled in her affairs, but this small victory would not be rewarded in Seung Nyang's eyes after the death of his majesty, but instead he saw a small smile from Seung Nyang after seeing the smile on the crown prince's lips, they would claim invasion later.
- How do you plan to retake the throne? - TalTal mentioned while he leaned in a corner to rest his wounds a little and take off his armor.
"Send a messenger to ask for help from the kingdom of Goryeo," said Seung Nyang without taking her eyes off the crown prince.
- Has the king granted you his grace? - TalTal was a little surprised to understand that it was Wang Yoo's father who had provisionally retook the throne after the death of his son, leaving him without an official heir since his son had died. TalTal knew that the power struggles in Goryeo could increase after the invasion of Yuan itself and could even lead to an alliance with the Mongol Empire.
-We really have a lot of hope that the Kingdom of Goryeo can help us, but it won't be to a great extent- Seung Nyang replied without much encouragement since she knew that Wang Yoo's death had left the king in the greatest of sorrows and her with an unpayable debt.
