After watching Monster House, again, since it's getting closer to Halloween, it got me thinking of this idea.

A Maelstrom Moves In

Chapter 1

Pilot

Mayville, Wisconsin, 1983

It was just an ordinary day on the streets of Mayville, though the fact that the neighbor, Nebbercracker had just stole a tricycle from a little girl, with DJ, the kid from across the road witnessing the whole thing, where he then went to see his parents off for their dentist convention, or whatever it is they were visiting, along with his friend, Chowder, making his appearance.

While next door to DJ's home was a moving van, with a couple of people lugging different sized boxes into the house, but they soon left at the same time as DJ's parents, where suddenly a car pulled up to the drive, with both boys wondering who was moving in, though Chowder was busy messing around with his new basketball, which he ended up bouncing right into his face, causing it to dribble towards the man's foot, while he was stepping out of his car.

The pair was awed at the sight of this guy, he looks about 19, though the boys didn't he was actually 25, he wore some combat boots, a pair of jeans that covered the tops of said boots, an orange muscle shirt, that showed off his 8 pack abs, with a black leather jacket, along with a jade necklace.

His features were quite handsome and roguish, with both boys knowing that girls would more than likely throw themselves at this new guy that just moved in, what with his spiky blond hair, deep blue eyes that held some mischief, along with 3 whisker-like birthmarks on his cheeks, yeah, the boys knew for a fact that this guy was gonna have a lot of "followers" once everyone knows about him moving in.

The guy, seeing the ball by his foot, picks it up then looks towards the two boys, giving a friendly smile, "This yours you guys?" He asked, wanting to at least get some confirmation of who owned the ball.

With Chowder blurting out, "Ur, y-yeah, that's mine!" Hearing this the guy smiled at them, sees the basketball hoop above the garage, fully steps out of the car then flings to ball over his shoulder, where both boys watch in awe how the guy had just thrown the ball, without even looking at the hoop, since his eyes were on them, with said ball hitting nothing but net, then bounced towards Chowder, who, while still shocked, had caught the ball in his hands.

Seeing their reaction caused the older blond to chuckle, before suddenly both boys started exclaiming how cool that was, "There you go little guy, you got your ball back." The older blond soon exclaimed, making the boys realise that this guy had actually planned the ball to go through the hoop and bounce all the way into Chowder's hands.

Making both boys ask if he could teach them how to make such a shot, causing the blond to laugh at their excitement, "Tell ya what, how about later, after I put my stuff away, I'll teach yas a few tricks here and there, but for now, I've got some business to take care okay." With that, he made his way into the his house, "Oh yea, I'm Naruto, by the way, Naruto Uzumaki."

With both boys realising they needed to introduce themselves too, seeing as he'll be DJ's neighbor for the foreseeable future, "Oh, um, I-I'm DJ, t-this is my friend Chowder." With Chowder trying to give a cool wave, but nearly fumbles his ball instead.

Naruto gives the boys a smile and nods, when he then tells the boys that he'll see them around and goes into his house, leaving the boys to themselves, but he soon came back out with a couple bags of groceries, where he then heads across the road, straight to Nebbercracker's place, seeing this, the boys didn't know what to do, before they could even try to come up with a plan, Naruto had already reached the door, pushing on the doorbell, where the door then opened, showing an angry visage of the old man.

Until it melted away, showing an expression of shock, "W-What! Naruto!?" The old man couldn't believe his eyes.

Naruto on the other hand had a smile on his face, "Hey there old man, it's been a while." Showing his cheeky grin towards the elder, causing said elder to start laughing with his arms swinging around and giving Naruto a hug.

"My god, look at you, you're no longer the little runt that I remember, ha!" With Naruto having an eye twitch athe the 'runt' remark, "Yeah, well, you're still a stick man even back when I was a runt!" Which caused the two to glare at each other, until they burst out laughing, missing the friendly banter they had.

"Well what're you waiting for brat, come on in, come on it, we've got a lot of catching up to do, not to mention how you've got to tell me what's been going on in your life."

With that, Nebbercracker had ushered Naruto into his house, the two enjoying each others company, reminiscing on their past together, with Naruto giving the old man updates about his life, seeing as Naruto had practically grew up around Nebbercracker before he moved way in order to build his house, where Naruto explained that he's been traveling around, even took up writing thanks to his godfather, which Nebbercracker couldn't help but make a crack at Naruto writing the same type of "stuff" that Jiraiya wrote, with Naruto denying it stating how his godmother would kill him if he wrote even an line of the stuff that Jiraiya writes, causing the older man to chuckle and agreeing with the blond.

Before long the two departed, with Nebbercracker having put the groceries away, seeing as he knew where everything was suppose to go, with both saying their goodbyes, though after Nebbercracker closed the door, "Relax honey, Naruto is a good boy, he wouldn't do anything to upset us." He calls out.

Outside

As for Naruto, he'd just made it to his house, where the shocked boys didn't know what to do, they didn't know that Naruto knew Nebbercracker, or that the two of them had history, or that Nebbercracker even knew how to smile, the whole thing was a shock to the system for them, that Chowder had tried to get his ball in the hoop, only for it to bounce off and hit him in the nose, where the ball then rolled to Nebbercracker's front garden, making both boys wonder if they could get the ball back, since Nebbercracker was friendly towards Naruto.

Naruto on the other hand had just turned his music on, so he'd listen to something while he puts his boxed up stuff away, unfortunately this also caused him to miss Nebbercracker yelling at DJ and falling to the ground.

Along with the ambulance taking Nebbercracker away, but right now, Naruto was more focused on his cleaning, at some point he even took off his muscle shirt, showing off his muscular physique and strong arms, giving him a Marvel Thor-like appearance.

But that's when DJ's babysitter had arrived, asking DJ what was going on, but her eyes soon caught the neighbor's lights being on, where she just caught the sight of a shirtless, muscular man cleaning his house up, making her have to bite her lip just to stop herself from moaning at the sight, yet at the sametime wondering WHO this guy was.

She quickly decided to get her answer from DJ, seeing as he was there to greet the new neighbor and everything, though the moment she saw the sexy blond bend down, with his jeans being quite tight, it gave her an idea of how the guy had "buns of steel" that she very quickly jogged into the house to get the 4-1-1 on the new guy, hoping he was single and that his bathroom was facing DJ's house.

There you have it, the first ever Naruto/Monster House Crossover that I've come up with after watching the movie when it came up, seeing that it's getting closer to halloween. lol

As for the pairing, it'll obviously be Naruto and Zee, since the only other girl there is Jenny, as well as DJ's mom, but I'm pretty sure Naruto would be more helpful with the kids and their monster house problem, maybe even getting Zee more involved with the whole affair. lol
