Back in Bethlehem Asylum, The interview went on.

"When your father found you," Kano continued. "you were inconsolable. You said the love of your life was gone. Murdered by some-"

"No," Arisu said. "It's not what I said."

"Arisu," Kano entreated. "you were an ignored little girl who wanted to be loved so you created a fantasy land full of characters who would help you become who you wanted to be. Tall, brave, beautiful. You wouldn't be the first child to do this. You're just the first to grow up and still believe it was real."

"No..." Arisu murmered. "I don't believe it anymore."

"We know you're lying," Kano assured her. "You still cry out for him in your sleep."

"What?" Arisu snapped.

"In your sleep," Kano revealed. "Every night, it's the same. You cry out for Kaneki."

In the past, in Wonderland, At the cliff of the Boiling Sea, soldiers cornered the lovers. Arisu took out the Vorpal Sword, and Kaneki released his kagune, ready to fight. Behind the soldiers, the One Eyed Queen stepped into view.

"Sorry to interrupt." The Queen said, as Kaneki and Arisu battled the soldiers. There were too many of them and they were overcome. While Arisu was forced down to the ground by some of the soldiers, others began dragging Kaneki away. "Mind if I borrow him?"

"Kaneki!" Arisu cried. "No, Kaneki!"

"Arisu!" Kaneki broke free and fought off the soldiers holding down Arisu. Then, the Queen with a wave of her own kagune, pushed him over the cliff-edge.

"Oops." Queen smiled.

"Kaneki!" Arisu crawled over to glimpse Kaneki falling past the smoke into the Boiling Sea as his necklace glowed and disappears out of sight with him. "KANEKI!"

In Bethlehem Asylum, The interview continued.

"Arisu," Kano said empathetically. "We have a new procedure that can take away your pain. Make you forget whatever, or whomever you're holding onto. One treatment and it all just slips away."

"Does it hurt?" Arisu sat up a bit straighter.

"A little." Kano replied carelessly. "But far less than the pain you're in right now" Dr. Kano passed Arisu a pen and a clipboard. "Just sign here." Arisu signed. "Good girl. Now go get some sleep. Tomorrow you life begins anew."
