Ch58
Alabaster's heart raced as he stared at the Olympians. His mother, Nemesis, and Hades all had some sort of seat now. It had been an awkward start to the meeting, mainly because Zeus insisted on trying to kill Luke who remained bound in chains on the ground glaring at his father.
Of course now it came to business and the gods wanted to reward them. Yet before that Percy had them all to swear on the Styx and demand a variety of things; amnesty for those who rebelled, recognition for all children, and the dismantlement of the pact of the Big 3.
He watched as Percy defiantly looked at the gods. "All gods deserve thrones, even the minor ones. Hecate and Nemesis have constantly showed their worth and support in this war, they deserve thrones along with the other minor gods and Hades. Their children should also get cabins at camp."
"Are you calling me a minor god?" Hades bellowed.
"No sir," Percy said quickly. "But you and Bianca showed your worth and deserve to be recognized." He turned and faced all the gods. "All gods should be treated with respect no matter how high or low their position.
A smile spread as he looked up at his mother who gave him a small wink. At long last we are here mother.
Zeus' posture turned rigid but Hera spoke up. "He is right Hecate and Nemesis have proven to be good allies in this war. We should focus on healing and working together to make Olympus great."
Athena nodded. "The enemy gained many allies because of perceived mistreatment. Lets us right the wrong now."
"Fine," Zeus grumbled. "They'll all get thrones and their children cabins." The Lord of the Skies then narrowed his gaze on Luke who had been glaring at the ground the entire time. "But must we really spare this boy? For he helped raise Kronos."
Hermes' posture stiffened. "Amnesty for all means for all." He then turned down to the size of a normal human and undid the bindings around Luke's mouth. "Luke," he said softly. The god's gaze flickered a variety of emotions from anger to sorrow.
Luke recoiled. "I have no desire to be your son," he said coldly. "Now after what you did." His body shook. "YOU ABANDONED US!" His voice echoed throughout the room
A pained look spread across Hermes' face but that paled in comparison to the thunder in the sky and the tensity in the air. "He is clearly unrepentant," Zeus said coldly. "Who is to say that he won't cause more problems down the line?"
This could be bad. A pained look spread across Hermes' face as he quickly reapplied the mouth gag.
Percy's body shook as he stepped forward. "How about you just send him to his mother's house and let him recover? I'm sure he'll cool down. If any god they can try to help her."
Hermes stood up and transformed back into his full form and knelt. "He's right. Lord Zeus please lets exile him to his mother."
Zeus folded his arms. "Fine. But he shall be under guard and if he tries to escape he'll be put to death. Furthermore, I don't want him at camp where he can influence others to do who knows what."
We'll that was something. Thalia and Annabeth both looked relieved and close to tears.
Hermes nodded. "Thank you Lord Zeus."
"Now then for Kronos' other lieutenant," Zeus said coldly as he turned to Hades. "Brother what do you have to say for your son's action? My daughter was nearly killed because of him."
Hades' maintained a poker face. "He is under custody with Medea I believe. Worry not for I shall punish him myself."
"You shall punish him here in the presence of all," Zeus said firmly. "For he wielded your weapon and raised it against Olympus."
The atmosphere tensed up as Zeus and Hades both stood up. Thankfully Hestia appeared between them. "Let us hear what the boy has to say first," She said calmly. "We have much to fix."
"She is right," Hera said calmly as she stood up and placed a hand on Zeus' shoulder. "Let us see what this boy has to say first. Hecate where is he?"
"Medea bring him forward," Hecate said firmly.
His aunt brought forward the guinea pig cage with Circe by her side. Circe took out the rodent and said a spell and in a flash Nico di Angelo appeared on the ground coughing.
The boy looked around half dazed before he Luke on the ground. "Luke!" He tried to run but Medea casted a spell and the boy fell on his face. "Let me go!"
"Nico di Angelo Kronos is dead," Hecate said firmly. "Luke is a prisoner of the war. Do you have anything to say for your crimes?"
Nico slowly knelt and glared at everyone in the room before turning to his father and a cruel smile spread across his face. "I only did what you said! Father must you abandon me now?"
Wait what? He did a double take as Nico let out a laugh. The other demigods looked at each other in confusion.
"My father helped Kronos too. Why did you think he let Percy Jackson out of his realm repeatedly?" The boy laughed. "I was told to join him while Bianca was sent as a spy!"
Bianca did a double take. "Nico what are you talking about I'm not a spy! Why are you saying this nonsense."
Nico laughed like a maniac. "Olympus would've been destroyed and father would have the space and glory he desires. I was there when he listed his demands to father."
The air in the room tensed. "Do you have anything to say about this?" Zeus said coldly as he glared at Hades while the other gods stared in shock.
The Lord of the Underworld stood up and glared at Nico. "This boy is lying!" His voice was low and cold his very gaze would make any man shrink.
Nico laughed. "I am your son father. You put us away to be used remember? You dare play innocent? In the end you only chose the side that would benefit you."
The other gods shifted nervously; Poseidon and some other gods looked as if they were about to jump in the middle of the two.
Surprisingly his mother stood up. "There is proof Lord Hades is innocent. My daughter and Percy Jackson went into his realm to bathe in the Styx and encountered him. "Why would they be let out alive if Lord Hades was a traitor?" She raised her torch and the image of Percy and Lou in the underworld appeared along with their meeting with Hades. The atmosphere calmed down as relief spread across Hades' face.
"Brother Hades had no intention of siding with the enemy," Poseidon said calmly. "Why would my son be here standing if he were? This boy is clearly lying."
Zeus slowly back down. "Get the boy out of my sight. Hades you are to punish him as you see fit."
"Do not worry I shall," Hades said coldly as he glared at Nico.
Circe forced another potion down Nico's throat and turned him into another guinea pig. She picked him up and put him in back in his little cage.
"Now then Daedalus step forward," Zeus said with a sigh.
The inventor stepped forward calmly as if facing death and bowed. "Lord Zeus."
"You have long desired to escape death and for that we are willing to grant you immortality as a god of inventors and the labyrinth shall be your domain," Zeus said. "However, since my brother has a claim on your soul you must go down into the underworld for half of each year and help him build infrastructure down there. Do you accept these conditions?"
A smile spread across Daedalus' face. "I do. Thank you my lord."
Well that was a surprise.
Zeus nodded and turned to Medea and Circe. "You both have also helped out in this war. If you both wish I can make you both minor gods to serve under your mistress Lady Hecate. However, you are to swear to never rebel against Olympus and all your captives must be released."
Medea and Circe looked at each other before bowing. "We accept your offer my lord."
"You know they were of great help to me in the camp. Perhaps could help me out in the camp?" Dionysus suggested.
Zeus sat back. "Very well. You both shall help Dionysus in the camp for the remainder of his sentence as punishment for your past crimes."
"Of course Lord Zeus," Medea said with a bow.
Well that was relatively nice. He was glad that they weren't getting punished and he honestly hoped other would see them in a better light in the future.
"Good now let us go for we have much to do!" Zeus declared.
He cleaned his eyes as they watered up. "You ok?" Percy asked.
He smiled as various emotions swelled inside of him. "Thanks for everything."
Percy smiled back. "Don't mention it. Everyone deserves to be recognized." With that the two embraced each other.
The next few days were hectic as Rachel became the new oracle and a bunch of new cabins were being built.
"Alright take it easy now," he said as his siblings carefully laid the large magical bricks on each other.
"It looks great," Lou said as they stared at their cabin. It was a larger and even larger on the inside. It's black bricks glowed ominously while floated around it that lit up with green flames during the night. "Finally we have our place just like our mother."
"Just our like our mother," He said as he stared with pride at the cabin. She had her throne and he and his siblings had a place at his camp. Staring down at the necklace he wore he traced each of the beads. He was just as much a hero as anyone else and soon he would teach his siblings how to survive in this world.
"Alabaster could you follow me please," Medea said.
He looked up at his aunt and nodded. "Sure."
She led him into the woods without saying a word until they reached a secluded part where to his surprise he saw his mother Hecate and Hades with his furies behind him.
"Lord Hades." They both said with a bow.
The Lord of the Underworld nodded his gaze stern. "I've come to collect what is mine."
His mother turned to him. "Alabaster kindly return Lord Hades' sword."
"Of course mother." Well I knew it would come sooner or later. Taking out his sword he summoned Hades' sword in his hand and knelt down to present it to the god who took it.
"Such trouble," Hades muttered as he held the sword in his hand where it turned to black dust. "Now I might as well take my son back too."
Medea held out her hand and the guinea pig enclosure appeared in it. She took out a spell in a flash Nico was transformed back into his human. The son of Hades glared at his father in disgust.
"You ungrateful bastard," Hades said coldly. "Do you know what trouble you caused me?" The air around them turned tense as the shrubbery started tot die.
Nico glared at his father before starting to laugh. "What about the trouble you caused others? Me and Bianca were nothing but your pawns."
Oh boy. He awkwardly shifted where he stood as Hades' gaze turned deadly. "You foolish boy," Hades said in a tone so cold even the furies behind him winced. "You rebelled against Olympus and tried to throw me under the bus."
"I was supposed to be a hero," Nico said coldly. "Just Luke before I would have brought a new age to this world!" The boy laughed. "I was supposed to be the hero of the prophecy, the one who would help Kronos rise. We were going to save Bianca and rebuild this world!"
Oh gods he really is full of propaganda.
Hades didn't step forward as he stepped forward and gripped Nico by the throat. "I was considering mercy due to your sister begging me." Hades began to slowly choke Nico as the boy tried to resist. "But I think you are too far gone."
"B-B-Bianca," Nico tried to mutter as the grip around his neck tightened.
A dark menacing aura enveloped hades and his son. "I personally sentence you to eternal punishment," Hades said coldly as the aura around him grew more intense killing the foliage around him. "Your soul shall be punished until I deem it and you are forbidden to ever be reincarnated." He then spat in Nico's facing causing him to scream. "You and your soul shall forever be separated from Bianca."
Then a bright light enveloped the area. He took a step back and covered his gaze as a chill went down his spine. Nico let out a scream that shook him to his core as the ground shook.
Oh gods what a foolish boy. He slowly opened his gaze to see Hades standing over a crack in the ground.
"What a waste," Hades muttered as he spat on the ground.
"Your son made his own choices. They are no reflection on you," Hecate said calmly.
Hades sighed, "I know but you know how my brother is?" He shook his head and snapped his fingers and a small piece of rock formed on the ground with the inscription Unfilial Child written on it.
