Can't believe I never continued this.

It had been a while since he was last here. Jaunes eye's scanned the hallway they were moving through, idle curiosity taking his attention away. Sure, Alec teased him about seeing Pyrrha again - and although he wouldn't mind - this was business. A part of him worried how this would turn out, but a bigger part of him wanted to be there for his teammate and friend.

The four of them entered the headmasters office, filing in with Alec bringing up the rear. It was pretty clear Leonardo was expecting them to arrive, if his lack of panic was any indication. Even then, the lion faunus was still frightened of them, judging by the sweat building up on his forehead.

"Leonardo," Alec greeted as he closed the door to the room. Lionheart pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and dabbed his forehead, then with the other pushed the file forward. Moving past the kids, Alec approached the desk and swiped up the folder. Alec flipped through it quickly, taking a few notes of what was inside before closing the folder.

"This will do," Alec said before looking back to the headmaster, "and I take it you have a place ready for us?"

Leonardo nodded quickly, "I had two rooms at a local inn prepared when you informed me you all were coming."

Alec nodded and turned to the others that were present. "Come on, we'll go through this at the inn. And after the long ride here I bet your all hungry too, so we might as well grab something on the way." Alec ignored their happy replies as he looked back to Lionheart. "Send me the address of the inn, and make sure to take care of our bullhead for us," Alec said without a care for how rude it made him look.

Leonardo only responded by nodding his head.

Alec merely eyed the man for a minute but chose to ignore his lack of response. "We'll see ourselves out then. Come on you three, we're burning day light and you know how I hate wasting my time," Alec said to the three kids in the room.

They all started to head for the door when Leonardo called out for the young Arc. "Jaune, please a moment of you time before you go." The lion faunus reached into his desk and pulled out a white envelope with his name on it. "It nearly slipped my mind, but miss Nikos left a letter for you in case you came back."

"Pyrrha did?!" Jaune raced over to the headmasters desk and swooped it up before the faunus could answer. The blonde froze before he opened the letter, realizing just how rude he was being. His mom taught him to always be respectful to those who helped him, as such in this case. Jaune took a step back and bow slightly in gratitude. "Thank you headmaster Lionheart."

Leonardo was taken aback by the kids kindness for a brief moment, smiling he nodded back to the boy. "It was no problem at all Jaune."

With his thanks given the blonde rejoined the rest of his team. Alec led them out and down a new hallway while Jaune tore opened the envelope in his hand. It wasn't the longest letter in the world, but he could tell Pyrrha wanted to let him know about what was going on with her in the future. So focused on reading the letter, Jaune never saw Alec move in on the opening.

It was too quick. Alec took one look at his student and reached down, swiping the page out of the Arc's hand and holding it higher then the kid could reach. "Now what do we have here? A secret love note from your red headed girlfriend!" Jaune turned on his heel and jumped at his master, only to crash face first into the elder man's palm.

With a sudden push, Alec sent Jaune stumbling backwards as he laughed. Jaune caught himself on the wall and was ready to go again, when the note Pyrrha made came flying at him. Alec smirked at the blondes bewildered expression. "I've got more interesting things to do then snoop on some kids budding romance."

Jaune caught the letter and held it away from his master, just in case the old man tried to take it again. The young Arc followed after his group as he read the letter his best friend left for him.

Dear Jaune, my mother helped me write this because I didn't know what to say in it. Anyways, how are you? We haven't seen each other for a little bit but I'm doing well for myself. I've been in good health but it's been a little tough without my dad around. We've tried to live our life like normal ever since the accident, but mom and I can't really stay in the house dad died in. It's just too painful sometimes.

So mom decided it was best to return to her childhood home with me. I'm a little scared because I don't know anyone over there, but I hear they have fully trained huntsmen and soldiers protecting the city. I want to be like them, you know. Strong, fearless and capable of protecting people. Kinda like how you did when you gave me your hoodie.

I don't know if you'll ever get this, but if by any chance you ever come by Argus, know I'd be really happy to see you again.

Goodbye Jaune, I really hope we meet again someday.

Pyrrha

Jaune folded the letter and shoved it in his pocket as they exited the academy. "Argus huh? He was gonna have to remember to go there someday," he thought as they walked down the path to the city. "But first things first, there's business to take care of."

Decided to make a short chapter to give me a break from "White Knight."
