Almost a year had gone by and it had been the most incredible year of your life. Having a husband by your side who supported you and respected you in every way possible, who worshipped the ground you walked on, and who loved you unconditionally, was more than anything you could ask for in this life.
Many of your friends in society had been married off as well, and while they were fond of their respective husbands, none of them could have dared to dream of having a connection like the one you and Lucius had together; and for that you knew you were so incredibly lucky. Lucius was your everything and you knew he felt the same way about you.
Your heart was so full and content it almost felt as if it could burst.
Through the winter you and Lucius had delighted in staying inside together, cuddled up in any of the grand rooms in front of a fireplace, reading together by candlelight and making love endless ways to warm each other from the inside out.
Making love with Lucius was absolutely blissful. He continued to show you many sensual things, ever the amazing teacher that he was, and the way in which your love grew together through the combining of your bodies and soul was almost too much to bear sometimes. Even for Lucius, making love to you taught him new things about himself. Never before had he had someone he utterly and completely adored, and so for him, making love to you was an entirely new experience for him as well, because he had never experienced a connection so deep. Your favorite moments in life were watching him as he made passionate love to you, his eyes closing in such bliss as he lost himself in the feelings of love and passion for you, that you imprinted the sight of him like that in your mind forever.
If you could, you would have stopped time that winter, to always have it be so that you and Lucius could live in blissful solitude at the Manor, just enjoying life and each others' bodies for days and days until the end of time. But soon however, winter gave way to spring and as the members of the ton began returning to society for various functions and events, you knew you couldn't stay locked away in the Manor forever. Now that Lucius had regained his reputation in society, and now that you were proudly his, you knew you would be invited to every event, and as much as you would have loved to ignore them all, there was a part of you that wanted to show off your love and your life with Lucius; to show the ton that you had done it…had made your dreams come true…that you had true love.
And so you and Lucius went to all of the balls and the soirees. The shining diamonds of the ton that you both were. Never in your life had you seen so many other members of society be in awe, so many of them always too self absorbed. However, you realized that seeing you and Lucius together, so happy and in love and shining brightly with that happiness, gave a lot of them hope. And that was something that warmed your heart and made it all worth it. Even seeing your family at the events couldn't dull your shine. You would politely nod at your siblings, even your mother, but for the past year you still hadn't spoken to them; and if you were honest, you were fine with that. You had won, and had a happy life, and you wouldn't let anything come in the way of that.
One gorgeous spring evening, as the sun was setting on the horizon casting the Manor and the gardens in a gorgeous golden glow, you found Lucius on the outside parterre overlooking the vast gardens, almost like a King surveying his kingdom. His platinum hair seemed to shimmer in the golden light and you could almost weep at how gorgeous he looked. He was perfect, and all yours and you were glad you found him. You had to tell him something and this beautiful moment would be perfect.
You made your way softly and silently over to him where he stood against the marble wall of the staircase that led down into the gardens. Seeming to know you were there he turned his gorgeous silver eyes on you and looked at you reverently, as he always did. "Hello my angel," he said softly as he took you in his arms and held you. Both of you looking out over the gorgeous gardens and the setting sun as you held each other contentedly.
"My love," you said softly after a bit as you held him tightly before gently pulling back a bit so that you could look directly into his gorgeous eyes. "We love you so much," you said breathlessly. Your heart beating a bit quickly.
Lucius looked at you with his beautiful gaze, his silver eyes sparkling as he tilted his head a bit to the side. "We?" He asked, not too sure of your meaning.
"Yes. We…" you said sweetly, as you looked into his eyes still but then taking one of his hands and placing it on your lower belly. Where your baby was growing inside of you.
In nothing more than a second, it registered in Lucius' brain what you meant and his eyes immediately welled with unshed tears as he broke out into the biggest smile you had ever seen. "Oh my love!" He said as he kissed you deeply, and pulled you in to hold you against him, so warmly and protectively, as happy tears fell down your cheeks.
He then knelt in front of you and kissed your belly, sweetly and adoringly. "I can't tell you how much I love you," he said as he looked up at you, a tear of happiness falling down his cheek. "How much I love both of you. Forever," he said as he stood back up and held you once again.
You stood on your tiptoes so that your lips were close, one of your hands cupping his cheek as the other held his hand on your belly still, as you whispered back "It will always be us. Forever," before you kissed him in the most passionate and loving kiss.
Forever with him. Always.
The end.
