Sora and Vandala Doubloons
Sword and Keyblade clash. "Yer pretty good with that key of yours, you bilge rat!" a ghost pirate ghoul compliments a normie boy who's also dressed in pirate get up.
"Years of practice, you scallywag! Rrrggh!" the boy parry's the ghoul's attack. "You'll ace yer swashbuckling studies for sure, Vandala, er, I mean, you knave!"
"Much appreciated, you scurvy dog!" the ghost manages to knock the keyblade out of the boy's hands. "Now that yer unarmed, I shall make you walk—" she is cut off by the Ghost Ship suddenly rocking and swaying. She drops her sword as the ghoul's hands fly up to her mouth.
Vandala flies to the edge of her ship, dropping her hat in the process, and empties the contents of her stomach. The ghoul raises up for a moment to shout, "Curse me lack of sea legs!" and leans back over the railing as she continues to relieve her stomach. "And why does it have to be carrots! I don't even eat me carrots!" she heaves again.
Once finished, the Ghost Pirate notices that her hair isn't getting in the way as it usually does. Looking behind her, Vandala sees that the Normie is holding her hair back.
Wiping her mouth, the Ghost tells the boy, "You have my thanks, Sora," as she turns.
The boy gives a sad smile. "It was no problem, Vandala."
The ghoul lets out a sigh as she sits down on the deck. "Who's ever heard of a seasick pirate? There'd be no worst pirate then me."
Sora looks down at her before deciding to sit next to the Ghost. "I knew another pirate." He informs her causing Vandala to look at him.
"I think you've mentioned him before. Yer last captain."
The boy nods. "Yeah. He was a good captain. The second-best captain I've ever served under. But the thing is, because of the way he acted and the things he said and done, it was hard for people to decide if he was a greatest pirate or the worst. No one knew when to take him serious or not," Sora shakes his head while recalling fond memories of those adventures. "Some of the ideas, they seem crazy at first but then he goes through with them. He managed to escape from an enemy ship with the use of a cannon, rope, and a tiny figurine."
The ghoul looks at the boy in awe. "That be madness! There's no way that's true!"
"I know, right! Even with the stuff I saw during my travels, I'm not sure I would have believed it and I talked to a teapot!" Sora gets up and walks over to where Vandala's hat had dropped. "Want to know what I think makes a good pirate?" he picks up the hat and walks back over to the ghoul. "It's not what they do or even how they do it. It's why they do it in the end," the Normie gives the Ghost Pirate a goofy smile as he offers her the hat.
Vandala smiled brightly before taking what's rightfully hers and placing it on top her head before lifting off the ground. "That's just the kind of encouragement I needed, you scourge! But there be one more question," she hovers next to the boy. "You say that yer former captain be the second best. Who'd be yer first?"
Sora lets out a chuckle. "That be you," he bows. "Captain Vandala."
The Ghost Pirate tips her hat a bit to hide the small blush. "Well then, First Mate Sora," Vandala flies over to where she dropped her sword and picks it up. "Swab the deck!" she commands with her weapon pointed at him. "Or else I'll have you walk the plank, you scoundrel! This ship needs to be in tip top ship shape to present for class tomorrow!"
Sora salutes. "Aye, aye, Cap'n!" the boy was quick to head to where they keep the cleaning supplies. Vandala flies after him as she is going to assist in cleaning. This is her ship. Not to mention that this is all part of her homework. Sora only volunteered to help.
