Sora and Isi Dawndancer

The Fear Squad are in the gym working on a new routine based on one of Isi's dances. They ghouls were enjoying themselves so much that none of them realized that Isi had stopped and is seemingly staring at nothing.

"Oof!" Draculaura accidentally bumped into the Deer Spirit. "Sorry, Isi," but the vampire didn't get a response. "Isi?"

"Huh?" Isi snaps out of her trance. "Sorry, ghouls. I was having a vision."

The Fear Squad looks at one another with understanding before turning back to Isi.

Frankie asks, "What did you see?"

"The vision led me down the halls of Monster High," the ghoul does her best to recall everything. "I then found myself near water where I see a dancing silhouette. Or at least I think it was dancing. I don't really recognize it," Isi tries to mimic the movement but stumbles as she's not familiar with that sort of footing. Luckily, she was caught by Clawdeen.

"What do you think it means?" the Wolf Ghoul asks.

The Deer Ghoul just shrugs. "Hard to say. Visions are not easy to interpret. A Vision involving a drop of water creating a ripple could mean just that. Or it could be translated as something small could end up being something big."

"Ugh!" Cleo lets out. "Can't these Visions just say what they mean? They do have iCoffins, right?"

Hearing this, Isi shakes her head. "It's not that simple. My grandmother once told me that Visions are used because they are unable to talk to us directly. My grandmother also told me that it's important to follow the Vision as it's the only way to understand them," the ghoul then spots a deer, and she rushes to follow it. "I'll be back, ghouls. Continue without me."

Isi follows the deer throughout the halls of Monster High. Just like her first day it seems as if this Vision is leading her down random paths. But the ghoul knew that she must follow it to the very end.

"There you are!" the ghoul shouts as she spots the Vision prancing around the school's fountain and runs after it. "Where are you go—" what the ghoul was about to say is cut off as she bumps into someone, and both fall to the ground. "Ow!"

"Are you all right?" a voice asks.

Looking up, at first sees the silhouette from her Vision that soon clears up revealing a spikey haired Normie.

The boy stands up and offers to help the ghoul up. "Here!" Isi accepts the help. "Hey! You wouldn't happen to see a deer running around here. I kinda chased it all the way from the Graveball field."

"It's you!" Isi realizes.

"Yup!" the boy nods. "Always been since I was born," he then starts thinking. "Well, except for that time I got turned into a Heartless, I was also sorta possessed by a Dream Eater in a way, and then there was the Fusion thing a while back. But those are all long stories."

The Deer Ghoul lets out a laugh. "That's not what I mean. I had a vision of someone dancing and I think it was you. But I can't figure out what it means."

Sora holds his chin in thought. "Hmmm. If I'm dancing then maybe it has something to do with that?"

"That could be it. Perhaps I'm supposed to teach you to dance. That's what my last Vision meant."

"I love your dances!" the Normie exclaims as he perfectly mimics one of her dances. "I'd like it if you taught me!"

Isi watched him and notes how perfect Sora's form and rhythm is. "It doesn't seem like I have much to teach you. Do you know any that I could learn?"

The boy stops the dance and looks up in thought. "Um, there's one I picked up in Corona. But it's for a larger group than just the two of us. The more people the marrier. I could teach you but not sure how well you can perform it unless you happen to know enough Monsters to make up a small town."

The ghoul looks down saddened at the thought of not learning a new routine. But then a thought occurred. "We do know enough Monsters!" Isi digs out her iCoffin. "What else will we need."

Later

After Isi sent out the text to the Fear Squad, the ghouls gathered nearly the entire student body into the gymnasium.

The Deer Spirit steps out and gets everyone's attention. "Hey, guys! Sora agreed to teach us a dance he learned from his travels."

The students murmured at this announcement. Some were intrigued, a few thought it was pointless, and others were indifferent.

Isi turns to the Fear Squad. "Did you bring what I asked?"

Draculaura picks up an old record. "I found this among my dad's things. Funny. I didn't even know he had and old school CD." She examines the record. "It's from some really old band. Like, really, really old," she then waves to a certain robot. "And Robecca got an old CD player for it."

"It's called a gramophone, Draculaura." Robecca corrects as she sets up the device.

As soon as it was set up and the music started, Sora started bobbing his head slightly. "Hey! This is pretty close to what it sounded like!" he starts with the steps. "Okay, everyone! Match the rhythm and follow me!"

Frankie smiles. "I remember this!" the Living Cadaver starts following along, doing her best to recall the steps.

After everyone finally started tagging alone, it wasn't long before the entire school got the hang of the dance, and all the Monsters were enjoying this dance.

Just as the music stopped, Sora and Isi found themselves holding one another as everyone else cheered as they finished the dance.

Now, all the students are leaving the gymnasium.

Isi was saying farewell to the last of her ghoulfriends when Sora's voice reached her ears.

"Think we solved your Vision?" the boy asked.

"I think so," Isi smiles as she and the Keybearer make their way out of the room. "But I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to do with this dance. Am I supposed to take it back to Boo Hexico and teach it to everyone there? Or were we just to teach it to the school?" the ghoul then sighs. "It's always hard to tell with Visons," the two are now walking past the fountain. "I guess this is where we part ways. I got to head to my dorm."

Sora nods. "Yeah! I got to get home as well. Bloodgood understands when I'm out past curfew depending on the reason. But I doubt dancing would be a good enough one to not end up cleaning Nightmare's stable."

The Deer Spirit giggles at that. "I guess not. Bye, Sora. I had fun."

"I did too, Isi."

The two then went to go their separate ways, but the deer from the vison got in front of Isi, startling the Ghoul into backing up. The vison then hops in front of Sora, forcing him back as well. The two toppled over one another and both ended up on the ground. When Isi raised her head up, she realized that she was on top of Sora.

"S-sorry!" the ghoul sits up and scoots away from him slightly. Her face furiously blushing.

"It's alright," the boy rubs his head, having a faint blush himself. He sits up and then looks over to see the same deer he was chasing after earlier. "Is this another Vision? Or, the same one?"

"I think… it's the same?" she can only guess. "But I don't understand. I thought it was about the dance—Oh!" the ghoul lets out as something shoves her from the side and into Sora. Turning, Isi sees the Vision simply nudging her. The Deer Ghoul then faces Sora and notices how close their faces are to one another.

"Um…" was all Sora could let out. "Maybe the Vision doesn't want us leave?"

The Vision starts walking away but stops to stare at the two students.

"Maybe? My grandmother always said that Visions work in mysterious ways. Perhaps there's more I can learn from you?" Isi glances at the Vision and notices takes a step towards them. "Or you can learn from me?" The Vision moves closer to them.

Sora looks down in thought before looking up at the ghoul. "How about we learn from each other?" The Vision stops and takes a step back.

Isi tilts her head. "Like what?"

"Lots of things, really?" the boy smiles at her. "From who we are to our experiences." The Normie keeps talking and the Deer Spirit finds herself being pulled into the idea of it and the Vision keeps on moving away. "Pretty much life in general. That's the best thing to learn. How to live life. And one of the best ways to learn that is with other people."

"I like the sound of that," the ghoul smiles brightly. "How about we meet up tomorrow after school."

"Yeah!" Sora pumps his fist. "We can figure this out together."

"Yeah," Isi nods. "Together."

Neither student notices the Vision nodding its head before prancing out of sight.
