Chapter 444: A choice of two complicated emotions
The title is confusing I know, but this was the best I could come up with. Enjoy guys.
(Spellman Estate.)
The place is doing fine, the younger ones are either at school, or they're at the camping trip, while the teens are at their high school, Neil of course is at Ever After High handling the arrangements for Pokémon to reside into their world.
Gwen, Lily, Courage, Gothorita and of course, the pet fox Washington and his mate Victoria along with their little ones are at the house and enjoying what they can around the place, oh and of course Michelle Lewis is there still doing her part to help them as her community service.
But right now, Gwen is getting Lily ready. She dressed her up in a lavender dress and black shirt and she puts a little lavender bow on her hair. "There you go little Lily flower, all dressed and cute for your third day at Daycare school."
Lily giggles. "Twank you mommy."
Gwen smiles and she hugs Lily and kisses her cheek. "You're growing up, and I am so, so proud of you my little Lily flower. Now come on, let's get you ready for the day." They then leave the room and head downstairs, they pass by the little kit-tens running by and then they spot Courage and Gothita folding the clothes.
"Hey guys, we're gonna head out to the daycare now, take care of the place while we're gone and where the heck is Michelle?" asked Gwen.
Courage and Gothorita point to the kitchen and then go back to folding clothes. Gwen and Lily head to the kitchen and see the woman they're looking for.
Michelle is looking at the text on her phone and what it says.
I was wondering if we could hang out, or perhaps chat some time. I mean, it's not like it has anything to do with what happened to us a few days ago, but we do have some thing's to talk about, and I know you have your own priorities to handle, but I just wanna know when you're available – Gyro. Also, sorry I have your number, I asked Jack Cyber for it. My bad.
Michelle sighs and she locks her phone. "What in the hell am I gonna do now?"
"Go and meet him" replied Gwen. Michelle turns around and sees the matriarch of the Spellman family and with Lily in her arms waving at her. "Go and talk to him and see what he wants."
Michelle sighs and looks to her phone. "I don't know Gwen, it's kinda an issue with me when it comes to guys. I don't know what to do or what to even say to him. He's the all-powerful Guardian of the realms and me… Well, I'm just some gal who's serving her time for the wrong doings of the past."
Gwen can tell this is eating her inside and so she and Lily take the seat next to her. "Michelle, that message hasn't let your side since last night and sure as heck I know you haven't laid your eyes off it since. I know the feeling, I had the same thing when I got my first text from Neil when we met all those years ago."
Michelle looks back to her phone. "This is different Gwen. This isn't some coffee shop, or mall or even a park encounter. This is a meeting with someone who….. Who is way out of my league and… and I don't even know if love is even on my agenda. I mean, I have my duties to finish and that's to continue my work for you guys."
Gwen places a hand onto Michelle's shoulder. "Michelle, this won't stop until you see him and I know he's feeling the same thing. You both have a lot less in common, but I also see some things you guys have in common."
"And what might that be? Besides being alive?" asked Michelle.
"You're both trying your hardest to see it that everyone you guys know and love are happy and safe and that you both have a big purpose to finish" replied Gwen. "Gyro has the realms to handle and all of the visions to see and you…. You have us, a family you wanna help out and keep safe from harm and serve, but we don't want you to keep serving this sentence, because sooner or later, we're gonna have to let you live your own life and you know that."
That one Michelle knows, it's only a matter of time some day in the future when Lincoln and Luna confirm to her that her services are done and she can head off to live the life she can have. But deep down, she feels like she doesn't wanna leave this family they all have.
Then Lily touches Michelle's hand. "You have fun and be happy."
Michelle smiles at the words of the toddler and looks to Gwen. "Are you sure you want me to do this? To go and talk to him and see what he wants to talk about?"
Gwen smiles. "This is your choice, and I'll be okay with it, heck the whole family would be okay with it and Courage and Gothita will keep an eye on the place and let's not forget Harv is still here?"
"She has a point Miss Lewis." They also see Courage and Gothita go near them and nod, they can handle things while Michelle is gone for a meet up with someone.
Michelle smiles. "I don't know what I did to deserve such caring and understanding people, as a family. Thanks guys." she then gets up and has a determined look. "Okay, okay I'll do it. I'll go and talk to Gyro."
They all smile seeing Michelle filled with such courage and determination, then Michelle realizes. "I have to find out what I should wear and then text him where we should meet!" She then races upstairs to her room.
Gwen chuckles. "What the heck just happened? Am I raising another teen in the house?" They all chuckle at this and Lily just laughs, she has no clue what just happened.
(Karazhan.)
Gyro looks to his reflection and is a bit nervous. "Look at you, look at you man. Today… today is the day you are going to meet her and then talk to her and then settle what happened when we bumped into each other and try not to look like an idiot when being around her enchanting smile, her pretty eyes, her…. Oh god it's happening again!" He blushes and covers his face. "Oh god! Calm down man!"
Then Bill Cipher appears. "Yeah, it'll only get worse."
"Oh shit!" Gyro punches Bill Cipher in the face.
"Ow! My only eye! What the heck man?!" yelled Bill Cipher as he holds his now red eye.
"Jeez, sorry man. Maybe next time knock first before you get a super kick to the face, also what the hell are you doing here and what do you want?" asked Gyro. Then he hears a knock on the door. "It's unlocked."
Pyrrha comes in. "We came here to see how you are doing, ever since you got that reply from Michelle Lewis, you have been very tense lately. You feeling alright?"
Gyro sighs. "To be honest, I feel like everything is happening so fast, I mean me of all people have found an interest in someone and not the chosen destiny kind of interest."
"A romantic kind of interest, I know that feeling. You're nervous and you have trouble trying to cope with it and I understand" replied Pyrrha.
"Gyro, you have fought against so many powerful and dangerous beings and I doubt Michelle Lewis is even a threat. Well she was, but that was because of her old friend who made her to that crime, she's not and sure as heck you can face her and your puzzling emotions" replied Bill Cipher.
Gyro looks to himself in the mirror once more. "Guys, I am the ardent defender of the realms, what could I gain from love? I'm going to live for as long as time lives or until the end of a millennia. I am going to live forever and those I knew and love will fade away in time, and I don't know how to handle any of this."
Then Smaug appears his head through the large window. "Guardian, take it from me as a friend to you. Life can be harsh and you will live long which we know, but live the life you seek and wish to have, and even though the ones you know and love will fade in time, they'll understand and would want nothing more than to let you continue and find a new path to life and not mourn the past."
They look to the dragon shocked at what he says. "Wow, coming from the dragon that ruined a lot of townsfolk, conquered a mountain and has been dubbed cruel, that is pretty deep and kinda nice" replied Bill Cipher.
Smaug then looks to Gyro. "But the real answers you seek, lie within the woman you will meet. Now go, she is waiting for you and you don't want to have her waiting. It's also seen as rude to let her just stand and wait around for nothing."
Gyro smiles and pets the head of Smaug. "Thank you, all of you. I think…. I think I'm ready to talk to her and see what we can talk about and also see how we can make this work. I wanna see if she wants to start something new with me, for the future we could have."
Gyro then looks out the window and he morphs into a raven and flies off.
Pyrrha, Bill Cipher and Smaug watch as the Guardian of the realms is off to begin his new future. "You think this'll be good for him?" asked Pyrrha.
"It is unknown what the future holds, perhaps his friend, the Dark Prelate may have the answers. That, if he ever shows up" replied Smaug.
"Zeratul said he's meet with Gyro again, but the question is when? He showed up and told Gyro that Lilith had to live in order for the future of the Boiling Isles and Edalyn Clawthorne are accomplished" replied Bill Cipher.
"We must be patient my friends, only when the time is right then we shall know. We must continue keeping this place maintained, until the Guardian comes back" replied Smaug.
Then Mina Loveberry comes in. "Sir Cipher, I have cleaned out all of the Kobold feces from the dungeons, now what must I do?"
They all cover their noses from her rancid smell, she did clean out Kobold poop. "Take a bath Mina! You stink!"
(Royal Woods.)
At Ketcham Park, Gyro flies around in his raven form and searches for someone he was supposed to meet. But instead he sees Luna walking by herself and looking upset as she passes by the park and also at the park are Lola and Lana with their friends and Rita watching over them.
Gyro continues his search, and then he sees her. Gyro comes down and morphs out of his raven form and he lowers his cowl and sees her, Michelle Lewis. By the fountain and dressed in a red shirt, black jeans with a white belt, black short sleeved jacket with an allied eagle logo on the back and red slippers.
Gyro looks in awe to the woman, but then he snaps back to reality. 'You got this, you got this, you got this. You have fought through so much hell and sure enough, you can stand toe-to-toe against someone who has the charms and the looks to put you out of your misery. Also, why the hell did I say that one?'
Michelle turns around and sees Gyro. "Hey Gyro." Gyro is shocked that she calls out to him, but he continues to go to her and she stands up and goes to him. "Well, here we are, in front of each other and…. And we're here."
"Y-Yeah, we are" replied Gyro. Deep down, he is super nervous. 'Oh for fuck's sake, what the hell do I do now? I didn't even think I'd get this far.'
Deep down, Michelle is feeling the same thing. 'So now what? What the hell do I say now?!'
Gyro speaks first. "You wanna take a stroll?"
Michelle smiles and blushes. "Yeah, that sounds kinda nice." They both begin to walk down the path and to where the pathway will take them.
They do look around to all the people, Faunus and Pokémon wandering and having fun all over the place.
"This place is always filled with such peaceful and calm things, kinda reminds me of the times when I didn't have to work for Hollywood and manage issues with my former colleague… Doug" replied Michelle. "I should feel bad that he's gone because of me, but I guess I don't anymore."
"Well, there are some things we regret and some things we don't and I know that his demise by your hands was enough to let the world know you're not bad and that you did everyone a huge favor" replied Gyro.
"Yeah, I guess I did" replied Michelle. They then spot someone outside the Park and walking by with an upset look and wearing a purple hoodie, it was Luna and she looked kinda sad and just sighs as she walks by the park. "Luna's still a wreck, well a lonely wreck."
"I guess hearing and seeing her brother again through last night's video chat was enough to spark that loneliness she has been trying to fight back" replied Gyro. "She just wants to see Lincoln again and Linka, and Jordan and be there for her little brother. She treats him more like a son than a brother though."
"Yeah, I have been noticing that" replied Michelle. "She'd be the one to tend to his issues and be there for when he's under some critical emotions."
Then Gyro asks. "What the hell are we doing?"
Michelle was also wondering the same thing. "You mean to the fact we're supposed to be talking about what happened between us a few day ago when we bumped into each other at Seven-Eleven? Then yes, I was wondering what we're doing as well."
"How did you feel when all of that shit happened?" asked Gyro.
Michelle sighs. "To be honest. Kinda confused, a bit shocked and also…. Kinda nervous. You?"
"The same thing" replied Gyro. "Only I felt this odd longing to…. to be around you and to talk to you some more on how you feel and ask you some things."
Michelle blushes at the words he just said, but then she snaps out of it. "Well, ask away. I'm here now and ready for whatever it is you gotta tell me Gyro."
Gyro then sucks up the courage he needs. "Do you wanna meet up again soon, like at night, a movie or dinner? Like a…. Like a date?"
Michelle and Gyro stop and are both underneath the shade of a tree and looking to each other. Michelle had no clue what to say, she's in total shock by this question.
"Yes, yes I do." Michelle covers her mouth. "I'm sorry, I just…. I just wanna see if we can start something, like you and me as a thing."
"The same thing I was thinking" replied Gyro as he blushes. "Wow! I guess we were both having the same agenda, did you speak to someone about this issue?"
"I did" replied Michelle as she blushes. "It was with Gwen and she told me about the things we might have in common. You?"
"I was checked on by my apprentice Pyrrha and my colleague Bill Cipher and then given advice from Smaug" replied Gyro. "Never thought he would tell me about how complicated and yet good my life is and I wanna see this through, whether we can be something, or not and the not part kinda upsets me."
"Same" replied Michelle. "You wanna keep on walking?"
"Yeah, yeah I'd like that" replied Gyro. They both turn red and look away as they walk. But then Michelle holds his hand, this makes Gyro tense, but he soon calms down and they both continue with their stroll.
They both look forward to when and where they wanna go to their first ever date and see where this new kind of spark would lead to.
(With Luna.)
They said that she's upset about Lincoln not being around, not really.
Luna sighs. 'Linc's birthday is coming up and I haven't even gotten him the best gift I could give him and it's also Linka's birthday as well! Oh shit, how the hell did I forget that one?!'
Luna then looks to some things in a nearby pawnshop. 'Luna, you got this. They gave you some awesome things during your birthday, and you can do the same. But what?!'
Luna then walks off and she continues to think, she then looks to the belt she was given, the one she was given last week on her birthday from Lincoln, Linka and Jordan.
Then she has an idea. 'I think I know what to give them!' She then pulls out her Runeblade and summons Sindragosa and takes off back to Spellman Estate, through the Great Gate.
Whatever she has planned, let's hope it can be as great as she hopes it can, to show how much Lincoln and Linka means to her, but mostly to Lincoln.
