Chapter 5 – Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
Jessica woke up bright and early as she had a dream about dancing under the stars on a clear, full moon night. She was so inspired by her dream from last night she got right into drawing while she was still her pyjamas, Jessica got her pencil and sketched out a night sky with lots of stars, a moon and one big star in the center, after drawing out the sketch, Jessica got a bit hungry, "I'll finish it later." She thought as she got up from her desk and went downstairs towards the kitchen where Anthony, Jeff, Sam and Murray were having breakfast of eggs and toast, "I've saved some for you Jessica." Anthony said as he got up from the table. Jessica got out the butter and toast and sat down at the table. "I had such a beautiful dream last night.", Sam asked her what it was about, "It was about me dancing under the stars with a bright moon." She said smiling. They looked out the window to see the bright sunny day, "I would love to go outside." Jessica thought as she finished her breakfast. "But before we do anything guys, we need to get dressed." Murray said as he placed his plate into the sink. The Wiggles soon went upstairs and got dressed, ready for the day ahead.
After they got ready, they went down to the living room and settled into the armchairs, but soon they heard a little meow, they looked over to see their family cat, Felix, he was a black cat with a white belly, paws and tipped tail. "You wanted to see what we're doing." Anthony said. The cat walked over to the Wiggles and was rubbing his face against each of their legs. "You're very cuddly this morning." Murray said as the patted the black and white cat. "How about we all go to the park." Suggested Jessica "It's a perfect day for time in the park."
The Wiggles got their bags, Anthony packed the picnic basket and walked down the sidewalk all the way down to the large park in the center of town, they soon arrived at the large green park, Anthony set the basket down and got out the large picnic blanket and set it down on the lush, green grass. "It's a beautiful day, Jessica thank you for suggesting we go out to the park." Murray said as he got out a sandwich from the basket. "You're welcome, Murray, it's a beautiful day, with only a few clouds in the sky." She replied, Jessica laid down in the lush grass and looked up at the light blue sky. "I wonder what the clouds look like?" Sam said as he laid down also next to Jessica. "They remind me of my dream where I danced under the stars." Jessica said in a soft tone. "That does sound like a wonderful dream Jessica." Jeff said as he got a drink of water. "Your dream sounds like when we perform 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star' Jessica." Sam said, "You just remined me Sam, I have to finish the page for it." Jessica said as she got back on her feet. "Well, if we're going home, we better clean up." Anthony said. After they cleared the banket and the park. The Wiggles all took a walk back home, "You know, since it's a nice day, let's go the long way home." Murray said.
The Wiggles all walked down through Wiggletown to see all the stores that in the heart of town. After a long walk and some banter, they all came back home. After they got back inside and closed the front door, Felix the cat ran up to them and meowed. "Hello Felix, I bet you missed us." Jeff said as he petted his back. "Let's have some lunch guys." Anthony said as he slumped into the teal lounge, "I'm hungry." "Anthony, you're always hungry." Jessica laughed as she walked up the stairs. Soon Jessica was back upstairs and back on her drawing desk, she drew the outline of the page, "Maybe, I can use of their special pens from the craft room." She thought to herself as she looked at the moon she drew. She got up and walked down the hall into the craft room and went to one of the drawers full of markers and pens to find what she wanted, then she got a silver pen with a near white tip on the top and bottom, and went back to her room to finish the page, when the outline was finished she set the special pen on the desk. "I feel a bit hungry, I'd like a snack before I finish." Jessica went downstairs to the kitchen and got an apple from the fruit bowl that was on the counter, "Jessica, what are you doing with that apple?" Anthony said playfully, "Aren't you making some fruit salad Anthony?" Jessica replied before she took a bite, "You know you need to have dinner soon mate." He told her, "Well so do you!" Jessica said back in a more raised voice. "Jessica, remember your inside voice." Sam said firmly but in a normal tone, "Sorry…" Jessica said softly and quietly went back upstairs, she went back down to her desk and finished off her page. The yellow Wiggle went to her room "Jessica, you don't have to go to your room when I say to use your inside voice…" Sam said softly from her doorway. "What are you drawing today, Jessica?" he asked as we walked into the room, "I was going to show it to the others, but I can show you first." She said, "Wow Jessica that looks really good." He said "You show the others I'll get really for dinner." He added as he walked out of her bedroom, Jessica quickly went down the stairs all excited to show the others. "Wiggles I really want to show you something!" She said with enthusiasm "Can we see it?" Murray said who was helping Anthony fix up dinner, Jessica held up her finished starry page with a white moon and words. "That looks great Jessica, you're very clever." Anthony said while patting Jessica shoulder.
After dinner, the Wiggles got ready for bed, but before Sam went to check on Jessica, "We had a wonderful day, Jessica." Sam said in a soft voice, "Yes it was…" Jessica Wiggle said sleepily… "Good night, Sam.". "Good night, Jessica. Sweet dreams." Sam replied and blew her a kiss before he went to bed.
