AVW Battle Chronicle [Part 1]
The camera began to show a multitude of firework spectacles within the entrance ramp until it reached above the Tron, also showing an almost sold-out crowd, who were shouting and bellowing in excitement as the fireworks show was over with 'Reap' by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus was played in the background while the crowd continues its jovial anticipation by waving and shouting to the moving camera.
"We are on a significant progress of history here as we welcome you to the biggest event of Anime Valley Wrestling – this is Battle Chronicle!" Excalibur said, where the camera focused on the commentary board, all commentators waved them with different gestures. "From Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia, I'm Excalibur and with my commentary comrades Corey Graves and Shun Kaido!"
"I can't believe I'll be a part of the history here in Philadelphia! I could not wait for what's to come tonight here at Battle Chronicle!" Shun commented, could not contain his excitement for this event as both Excalibur and Corey nodded in agreement
"Couldn't have said it better, Kaido! But we are ready to witness the first match, which you can see on your screens. There are plenty of ladders around the ringside that can be used by either climbing or utilizing it as a weapon because we are kicking off Battle Chronicle with a 6-man Ladder Match for the newly-coveted AVW Infinity Championship!" Corey exclaimed as the cameraman captured the ladders that were standing in the ringside area and most importantly, the title was properly hanging up above the ring.
"The following contest is a 6-Way Ladder for the AVW Infinity Championship! In this contest, the first participant to climb up the ladder and retrieve the title belt will be the new AVW Infinity Champion!" Mai Sakurajima announced.
("Falling Down" by Oasis) was played in the arena as the crowd started to boo when one of the tallest competitors showed up on the Tron as Kyon looked up at the title before looking down to the ladders within the area while the crowd continued to bicker with him.
"Introducing first, representing SOS Brigade – Kyon!" Mai Sakurajima announced the first participant as Kyon entered through the middle rope to get a closer look at the title above him.
"Kyon won his qualifying match against Seiya, due to circumstances that are not within his control. And after that victory, he looks to grab the gold for himself and the SOS Brigade!" Excalibur explained as he faced the Tron, beckoning for his opponents to battle him.
("Demi Gods (feat. Slim Jim" by Lab Ratz) played in the arena as the crowd began cheering for the arrival of Kirito, who dons a hoodie jacket, paying homage to AJ Styles as he covers himself and reveals his face to everyone in the arena as pyro came off within the ramp. He then passed hands to the nearby fans as he glanced at Kyon, who was incoherently trash-talking Kirito.
"Next, from Aincrad, Kirito!" Mai Sakurajima announced as Kirito entered the ring by hopping from the apron to the mat and facing Kyon, gesturing that he would be getting the title right before Kyon could.
"And on the other hand, and on an interesting note, Kirito defeated Sakuta Azusagawa after Seiya disrupted the latter's momentum and paid the price of costing the former the opportunity in this Ladder Match!" Shun explained as Kirito removed his hoodie and gave it to the referee.
("Karma Police" by Radiohead) was played next as the crowd's mood changed as they were neutrally reacted to the arrival of the redhead, who casually walks across the ramp and for some reason, ducks under a ladder to gain coos from the crowd.
"Next, Karma Akabane!" Mai Sakurajima announced the next participant as both Kyon and Kirito were confused about what Karma did, they did not seem to be bothered by the looks of his opponents as he entered through the ropes to look up at the title.
"I am not quite sure if that was a great idea but Karma doesn't give a damn about superstitions because he believes that he has the ability to win the Infinity Title by using his technical prowess but with a ladder might be a big hurdle for him," Corey said.
("RISE" by MADKID) played in the background as the crowd began cheering when the hero emerged from behind the Tron as he crossed his shield-geared arm and knelt on the ramp as he then stood up with his shield raised to the sky, causing the pyro to go off beside him.
"Next, he is The Shield Hero' Naofumi Iwatani!" Mai Sakurajima announced as Naofumi was running towards the ring, passing by the excited fans and the ladder until he slid under the bottom rope and went to confront Karma, who took a step back before Kirito intervened to calm him down as Karma smirked at the distressed hero.
"People never forget bad things that happened to them and Naofumi does not forget when his arm got injured at the hands of that man – Karma Akabane!" Excalibur explained as Kirito pushed back Naofumi to an empty corner beside him while Karma warned him that he should not be trusted when it comes to these matches.
("Return of the Fire" by def rebel) played in the arena where the lights turned off as multiple poses from an individual lit up on the Tron, following the lights beside it. The Tron went back on as that individual appeared from the Tron with the crowd's reception was not quite as loud as the other competitors but he paid no mind and was seriously marching toward the entrance ramp to the ring.
"Next hailing from 'Ghost City', Z-City, he is 'The Devil Cyborg' - Genos!" Mai Sakurajima announced as Genos entered the ring through the middle rope and met his eyes against Genos, confronting him silently while Kyon took a step back, seemingly intimidated by the presence of the cyborg.
"There's the dark horse of this Ladder Match and we all know what he is capable of and by using his unbelievable strength, this might be the advantage that he needed to gain his first title here in AVW," Corey said.
("Down in Ashes" by Awake) was played in the background as the crowd's reaction went on full blast as the smoke beside him began to display before the final competitor arrived, who was donning a different color of his usual attire. He was currently wearing a combination of white and gold pants and a jacket without a scarf.
"And lastly, from the Jura Tempest Federation, Rimuru Tempest!" Mai Sakurajima announced as he made a run across the ramp to meet the fans before he could remove his jacket to reveal his shirt with the same color as his jacket and give it to a fan, who was ecstatic on receiving the freebie.
"And obviously, but not least, the fan-favorite to win the Ladder Match – Rimuru Tempest, is surveying his environment and I gotta say his drip for tonight is fantastic!" Shun said, complimenting Rimuru's current attire before he glances to the ring where his eyes were glued toward Kyon, who glares at him and tells him to bring his ass to the ring. But before Rimuru could enter, Naofumi suddenly attacked Karma while Kirito took advantage of a distracted Genos with a few kicks to the legs on a corner. Because of this, one of the referees has no other choice but to signal the timekeeper to ring the bell, making it chime from the arena as the crowd begins cheering on the current brawl that is taking place inside.
"Oh! Naofumi couldn't handle the rage on his head and he is ruthlessly taking his tantrum on Karma! And still, Kyon is looking at Rimuru like he is a dead meat!" Excalibur exclaimed as Kyon smirked before he could slide outside of the ring while Rimuru was looking around ringside to find a way to escape but as soon as he sights the nearby ladder, he immediately climbed up to the ladder while Kyon arrived at the ladder where Rimuru was currently climbing.
"Uh-oh! I think this is already a bad start, especially for Rimuru, who did not expect Kyon to stalk him and he is on the ladder with nowhere to go!" Shun said as Kyon attempted to climb up on the same rungs as Rimuru, who used a single foot to stomp his face a few times, avoiding the big guy to meet him up high.
"Those stomps might be effective but this is only a temporary solution for Rimuru, who is still in a dangerous position up on that ladder!" Corey observed the action outside as while inside the ring, the brawl was still ongoing but the quartet was in the middle of the ring, cluelessly that they were close to each other while they were throwing strikes at one another. However, Kyon shook his head off as he saw Rimuru almost at the top of the ladder and smirked widely as he began to shake the ladder to catch Rimuru off-guard while the crowd was anxious over the well-being of their favorite.
"Kyon is trying to get Rimuru off the ladder but he is like 6-7 feet on top! And this is a dangerous position for Rimuru to be meeting with his opponent." Excalibur said as Rimuru held on to the rungs with his hands tightly. Rimuru tries to escape the ladder by going over the top of the ladder and going to the other side but Kyon has other ideas as he pushes the ladder right before he can go on the other side. Right about as he falls, Rimuru looks at the ring as he improvises his fall mid-air as he hits a Diving Crossbody off the ladder to the quartet inside the ring, taking them all down and himself in the process, also sending the crowd into a loud awe and eventually, a loud 'Holy Shit!' chants and Kyon was beside himself seeing Rimuru taking a leap of faith from the ladder.
"Oh, my God! Rimuru turned a dangerous fall into a Diving Crossbody, probably saving him from a worse outcome, and has taken out the other competitors inside!" Corey said in amazement as when the quintet was knocked out inside, Kyon took advantage and grabbed the used ladder and sent it inside of the ring. A few seconds later, he opens the ladder to set it right above the belt. Before he could step on the first rung, Kirito kicked both of his legs to prevent him from climbing the ladder.
"Kirito with quick thinking and those quick kicks might prevent Kyon from climbing up to the title for a while," Shun said as Kyon turned around to see Kirito kicking him in the legs as the tall individual grabbed his opponent's head and sent him rolling to the mat but Kirito did not stop as he focuses on his back with a few Forearm Shots. Rimuru then followed suit to kick Kyon's legs to the cheers from the fans.
"And now, Kyon is getting ganged up by Rimuru and Kirito and their teamwork is still prevalent after teaming just last week!" Shun exclaimed as Kyon's frustration began to show up as he grabbed Kirito and Rimuru's throat but both men kicked his gut simultaneously and both nodded thinking of the same thing. Rimuru and Kirito use their combined strength to whip Kyon to the ropes and send Kyon to the standing ladder, hitting Kyon right in the face as the ladder falls and landing on the top rope while Kyon rolls outside to recover from the pain.
"The teamwork continues to bloom between Rimuru and Kirito and sends Kyon right to the ladder," Excalibur said as both Kirito and Rimuru teamed up to set the ladder back up into a standing position. But before they could do anything with the hardware, Rimuru was suddenly pulled by Karma and sent the former to the outside. The crowd began to boo when Karma beats up Rimuru with clubbing shots on the back.
"But they better be aware of their surroundings because you cannot expect a clear path to the championship that easily, especially in a ladder match!" Corey exclaimed as Kirito looked at his current partner, glancing between the ladder and the brawl outside, he chose to focus on the latter as Kirito jumped off the mat to the outside and hit a Slingshot Forearm Shot onto Karma, sending him and Kirito down in the process as the crowd cheered.
"That was quite a mistake from Kirito but choosing to save his partner from assault might be an instinct from him and takes out Karma outside with his forearm!" Shun commented as the crowd began cheering again on Naofumi, who entered the ring to see that a ladder was now set for him above the belt. When he began climbing slowly on the second step, Genos entered and also climbed to the other side of the ladder, realizing the impending ascension of his opponent, Naofumi hastily took a few steps near the top but was followed by Genos, who stunned him with a punch on the top of the head as Naofumi reciprocates the offense to Genos. Meanwhile, Kyon silently enters the ring and takes advantage of the situation.
"Kyon chose not to budge on the business between the two heroes on the other side and what is going on his mind right now?" Excalibur asked as Kyon shoved the ladder, sending both Genos and Naofumi off the ladder; however, both landed on their feet. Realizing that they didn't fall off, Kyon became anxious as he tried to make amends with the two but it was a ruse as he attempted to score an offense to Naofumi, who countered back with his perfect shot to the face of Kyon, making the crowd cheering for the hero. Adding offense to Naofumi was Genos' European Uppercut, making Kyon stagger on his feet, trying to get a hold of the ropes.
"Kyon paid dearly for pushing the two heroes off the ladder by taking the brunt of their offenses and things are not looking good for the VP of SOS Brigade!" Corey exclaimed as Naofumi decided to add more punishment to Kyon when he grabs the ladder and leaned it on a corner while Genos took cover of Kyon with a few Uppercuts. Naofumi then told Genos to send him on the ladder as the latter nodded in agreement. With this agreement, both Naofumi and Genos pick up Kyon's body and pull him near the leaning ladder to lift him up with a Double Vertical Suplex, sending Kyon's back to the leaning ladder, in pain, making the crowd go in awe.
"Oh, my! An unusual alliance there by the heroes and basically they work together to take down Kyon by sending him to a ladder with a Double Vertical Suplex!" Excalibur exclaimed as Kyon fell off the ladder to the outside. Meanwhile, the camera lately captures both Rimuru and Kirito holding a ladder and attempting to ram both Genos and Naofumi; however, the crowd is surprised when the latter duo both leapfrogged at the same time, dodging the upcoming attack as both heroes hit a Double Dropkick onto the ladder that was brought by Kirito and Rimuru, who got fell off on the mat and eventually, the ladder crashing down onto them.
"Wow! They are thinking the same thing with the dropkicks that they pulled and both Rimuru and Kirito did not expect them to get crashed by the ladder!" Shun said in amazement as both Kirito and Rimuru rolled themselves out off the ladder. Genos surprised Naofumi when he kicked him in the gut to attempt the Cyborg Bomb (Ricola Bomb) but Naofumi also surprised Genos when he lifted him in a Fireman's Carry position as he rolled Genos with a Vassal Roll (Fireman's Carry Rolling Senton) onto the laid ladder on the mat, causing for Genos to clutch his back while Naofumi nurses on his neck, much to the shock of the fans.
"And just like that, the heroes' agreement did not last long as both got crashed down on a ladder!" Excalibur exclaimed as the crowd booed when the leaning ladder on the corner fell on Naofumi's head deliberately by none other than Karma, who took his time entering the ring and grabbed the ladder that he used on Naofumi, utilizing it as a weapon to take out Naofumi and Genos and shoves the hard on the back and gut respectively, making Genos roll out of the ring to recuperate.
"There he is, one of the reasons why ladder match is so dangerous is that anyone can use these ladders as weapons and it can equally hurt as much as you fall yourself from there," Corey commented as Karma looked above on the belt as he smirked and sets up the ladder vertically above the title belt. Karma began to ascend on the rungs, step-by-step, before Rimuru managed to enter the ring to the liking of the fans as he quickly climbed up on the other side of the ladder to catch up on Karma, who saw Rimuru coming for him and was stunned him with a right hand but Rimuru dodges the attack and catches him with his right hand and spams more shots on Karma. Meanwhile, Kirito sneakily enters the ring without knowing the two on the ladder. He grabs the second ladder from the mat and inserts it between the ladder rungs and the middle rope.
"I don't know what's going through the mind of Kirito but building a ladder bridge connecting is kind of unnecessary but it makes it all intriguing," Shun said as Karma pulled Rimuru's head to the edge of the ladder but the latter fights him off with Karma's head sending to the steel with the crowd anxiously waiting for what is to come next. To answer the question, Rimuru shoves the head of Karma once again to make sure he is stunned; once he realizes this, Rimuru then climbs to the top, not to grab the title and instead goes over to Karma to hit a Sunset Flip Powerbomb on the ladder bridge, sending Karma and Rimuru falling over the then-now collapsed ladder bridge to the shock of the crowd, eventually chanting expletives.
"OHHH! Rimuru threw himself over the title to roll Karma into a Sunset Flip Powerbomb! Unbelievable!" Excalibur exclaimed as the crowd then chanted 'This is awesome!' continuously. The camera then covers Kirito, who was on the outside and inexplicably pulls a table underneath the ring to the approval of the hardcore Philly crowd. As Kirito successfully laid the table in a perfect position at the ringside, Kyon laid out a Big Boot on the face of Kirito, much to the chagrin of the nearby fans as he grabbed another ladder under the ring, carried it on his shoulder, and charges it toward Kirito again on the floor.
"The ladder on the shoulder of Kyon and I think he is not done delivering it to the opponents!" Corey exclaimed as Kyon charged to the other side to hit Naofumi with the ladder on his face; however, the ladder charging was not over for Kyon as he also took down Karma and Rimuru, who were both tried to stand on their own only for them to get knocked down on the floor. But when he attempts to charge, the crowd roars in astonishment when Genos climbs up to the leaning ladder that he set up against the barricade to hit Kyon with a Jumping Corkscrew Uppercut, sending Kyon and the ladder down to the floor and the crowd begins to cheer for the cyborg.
"I don't know he did that but that was an amazing uppercut from the Devil Cyborg himself from the ladder!" Shun exclaimed as he eyed Naofumi, who was on the other side of the barricade and launched himself with a Running European Uppercut onto Naofumi then he targeted Rimuru, who just began standing up only for him to get turned inside out with the Running European Uppercut. Next on the line was Kirito as he also got hit by the Running Uppercut on the barricade. But then, Genos did not see the upcoming ladder shot from the ring as he got hit on the side of the head, sending him down on the floor, courtesy of Karma, whose presence earned him an array of boos from the crowd.
"That uppercut train halted its operations after Karma derailed it with a ladder thrown over the cranium of the Devil Cyborg! And despite the pain that he is suffering right now, Karma looks to climb up to retrieve the AVW Infinity Championship belt!" Excalibur exclaimed as Karma then tried his best to endure the pain in his back and head as he carefully climbed up to the ladder, trying to grab the tiniest matter of the belt but suffering difficulty in reaching it. But before he could grab the strap, Kirito suddenly jumped to the top rope from the apron to hit a Phenomenal Forearm, taking Karma down with him on the mat, making the crowd bellow in euphoria, chanting eventually with 'This is Awesome!".
"Where in the hell did Kirito get this energy from?! A Springboard Forearm onto Karma, sending him crashing below on the mat! This is insane!" Corey cried in amazement as the camera pans to Naofumi, who was done balancing a ladder between the apron and the barricade and is currently bashing Kyon's back with multiple blows with his fists and took a deep breath to carry him on his shoulders to hit a Go to Shield (Fireman's Carry into Uppercut) but Kyon escapes the hold and hits a big Uppercut to daze the Shield Hero. Kyon then attempts to whip Naofumi to the ladder bridge but the latter reverses the move and Kyon gets hindered by the ladder bridge, hitting him square in the face as the crowd cheers for the hero.
"Hard impact from that ladder as Naofumi reverses the Irish Whip to send Kyon on the steel ladder," Excalibur said as Naofumi got up on the apron but Kyon entered the ring to surprise Naofumi by grabbing the throat of the hero, who countered it with a few hard Headbutts, dazing the big man momentarily. Naofumi then surprisingly carries Kyon from the mat to the apron as he attempts for his Go to Shield (Fireman's Carry into Uppercut) but Kyon escapes and lands on the apron to kick him in the face with a Big Boot. Kyon then grabbed Naofumi's throat again, attempting a Chokeslam onto the ladder bridge. As soon as Kyon lifted Naofumi, the latter landed behind the former as Naofumi fired back with his Big Boot on Kyon, shockingly, Naofumi grabbed Kyon's body and hit a Spinebuster on the ladder bridge; however, the ladder did not break nor collapse as Kyon's body was laid on the bridge to the bewilderment of everyone while Naofumi stayed on the apron to take a deep respite. Meanwhile, Rimuru quietly sets up a second table beside the first table that was set by Kirito earlier.
"Holy geez! The Shield Hero slams Kyon into the ladder and I am amazed that the ladder is still 100% intact but I think Kyon's back might be broken!" Shun exclaimed as Kirito suddenly was in the camera's vision and began to climb up to the top turnbuckle, clearly targeting Kyon's lifeless body as he looked at the raving fans before he could dive off the top with a Diving Splash, hitting Kyon in the gut as the ladder collapses by the impact of the move. The crowd was chanting 'AVW' this time, eventually with 'This is awesome!'
"The damn ladder finally broke thanks to the Splash from the top by Kirito to Kyon and there are clear signs of struggle between the other participants and it is quite a chaotic start for Battle Chronicle here at Philadelphia!" Corey exclaimed as Naofumi then entered the ring but before he went up the ladder, Karma attempted for a Clothesline only for Naofumi to lift him to hit the Go to Shield (Fireman's Carry into Uppercut) and Genos, who tried to stop the Shield Hero to ascend into the ladder, sacrifices himself as he got knocked down with a Go to Shield. But then, the crowd cheered louder when Rimuru springboards on the top rope to land on the middle rung of the ladder, much to the shock of Naofumi.
"Wha— How is Rimuru withstanding all of this?! And he is leaping to the ladder off the top rope and is clinging clearly for his dear life to avoid getting caught with Naofumi!" Excalibur exclaimed as Naofumi followed Rimuru, who tried to parry from him with a few stomps to the face to stun him. However, it went on for a few seconds as Naofumi pulled Rimuru's legs and sent him onto his shoulders, attempting for another Go to Shield, but Rimuru was able to fight Naofumi off with a few punches to the forehead but the latter kept his grip on his shoulders. But all of a sudden, Rimuru counters with a Reverse Hurricanrana, spiking the head of the hero to the awe of the crowd, and follows up with a Spinning Back Kick, leaving Naofumi staggering against the ropes as Rimuru begins to climb to the ladder to retrieve the title belt.
"These superstars have put their health and welfare in limbo just to become the new AVW Infinity Champion and I think one of these guys is well-deserved of being called the champion. But who can reach the top and get that championship?" Corey said as Rimuru stopped climbing and looked down to see Naofumi, still standing but in a confused state and glanced between the belt and Naofumi but decided to focus below as he hits Chaos Tempester (Eclipse) off the ladder on Naofumi, sending Naofumi out of the ring and Rimuru's hips in pain as the crowd began to chant 'Holy Shit!' anew.
"CHAOS TEMPESTER OFF THE LADDER TO NAOFUMI! THAT IS ONE OF THE MOST RIDICULOUS THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE CAREER! UN-BELIEVABLE!" Excalibur shouted as the crowd was continuously chanting between 'AVW', 'This is awesome!' and Rimuru's name. However, the crowd's mood began to change when from out of nowhere, Haruhi Suzumiya appeared from the barricade to wake Kyon up, who was lying on the barricade. As soon as he heard the voice, Kyon consciously began to stand up with Haruhi and hurriedly grabbed a table underneath beside the broken ladder to set it up.
"Are you even kidding right now?! Haruhi Suzumiya is back and she is clearly taking advantage of the situation and clearly is waiting for the right time to call Kyon up! She has also set a table up… for what?!" Shun complained as the crowd continued booing when Kyon saw Rimuru, standing and caressing his hip as he grabs the throat of an unaware Rimuru and Kyon angrily hits the Chokeslam onto the table set up by Haruhi to the chorus of boos.
"The night is running high for the SOS Brigade and sending Rimuru through the table is one of the first steps for their road to gold!" Corey exclaimed as Haruhi smirked and told Kyon to assist her on the ladder. With both members of the brigade entering inside, Haruhi carefully entered the ring to hold onto the ladder that Haruhi was currently in. The president of the SOS Brigade slowly climbs up to the top before she can stick his tongue out to mock the Philly crowd and shout that this is 'SOS Brigade's night'. However, as Haruhi continued to climb up to the top, the crowd exploded when Ochako Uraraka appeared on the apron to distract Kyon.
"It's Uraraka! Ochako is here to divert the attention of Kyon's to her despite having a match later tonight!" Excalibur exclaimed as Kyon turned around to see Ochako waving at him, Haruhi looked in fear after seeing Ochako. Kyon attempts to confront Ochako, who ultimately kicks him with an Enzuigiri as she enters the ring to hit Kyon with a Superkick, followed by another Superkick, causing Kyon to stumble and collapse onto the ladder, inadvertently knocking the ladder off with Haruhi falling from the ladder onto the two table outside, causing for the crowd to get wild and chanting 'What the fuck!'. The look of disbelief between Kyon and Ochako pans out to the camera currently.
"FROM THE STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN INTO THE DEPTHS OF HELL, HARUHI SUZUMIYA HAS BEEN SERVED FOR HER SINS ONTO THE TABLES!" Excalibur cried in shock as the paramedics swarmed the tables, where an unconscious Haruhi was lying. The then-now irate Kyon tried to confront Ochako, who immediately ran off the ring to escape. But before Kyon could get out of the ring, Naofumi emerged to the ring as he lifted Kyon to hit the Go to Shield, knocking him down on the mat to the cheers of the crowd.
"Naofumi, not 100% still has gas left from the pedal and he might be able to climb up to become the champion! This is his chance now!" Shun said as Naofumi began to climb up to the top of the ladder, making sure that no one was there to stop him, he tried to grab the strap right before Karma appeared in front of him as he took him out with a few punches to the face but this did not stop Karma from targeting the exposed gut, followed with him shoving Naofumi's face to the top of the ladder. Karma then grabs the arm that was injured by him before and pulls it through the rungs of the ladder and dearly locks in the Cross Armbreaker, much to the boos from the crowd while Naofumi tries to hold onto his dear life from the top of the ladder.
"Juji Gatame from the top, this is a dangerous thing to execute in this type of match but it can be effective since Karma is targeting that injured arm of Naofumi!" Excalibur exclaimed as Naofumi screamed in pain as he tried to keep his grip on the ladder. Only using a bit of his energy, Naofumi tried to pull the strap with all his strength but the hold was tightly shut against the ladder, the hero continued to shout in agony as the fans cheered for the Shield Hero while Karma screamed at him to tap out. After quite a while, the cry began to fade as his eyes were closing, implying that he had passed out from the pain and immediately collapsed from the ladder with a hard fall on the mat, with Karma leaning on the ladder to take a respite. However, when he saw an opening, Karma began to take a few more steps to climb to the top of the ladder as he opened the strap of the belt and pulled it off, holding onto the title with the bell ringing.
"Here is your winner… and the NEW AVW Infinity Champion – Karma Akabane!" Mai Sakurajima announced the new champion as he slowly raised the belt highly despite being in pain with the crowd booing after his music was played in the background.
"Wow! That was one of the wildest matches I have ever seen so far! What an extreme ladder match!" Shun said, perplexed by how the ladder match came to an end.
"With all of the chaos that has been left behind by these six competitors, only one stood tall and he is your new AVW Infinity Champion, Karma Akabane!" Corey added as Karma slowly descended from the ladder and landed on the mat to climb up to the turnbuckles to raise the belt again, much to the chagrin of the fans and some of the competitors, who regained composure and realized that the match was over.
"I can understand the frustration of losing the match for these other talents but we just have to digest that we will congratulate Karma Akabane for winning the AVW Infinity Championship in a hard-fought battle! But as of this moment, we would like to take a moment to introduce you to one of the newest backstage interviewers! Take it away!" Excalibur exclaimed as the camera captured the paramedics lifting Haruhi with Kyon in tow. The camera moved to the backstage area, where a new presence was in hold of the microphone.
Backstage Area
"Thank you, Mr. Excalibur! My name is Najimi Osana, your new backstage interviewer here in Anime Valley Wrestling! My first assignment is to ask questions from someone who will compete tonight here at Battle Chronicle! And fortunately, he is one of my friends! Please, welcome, Seiya!" The new interviewer announced as Seiya appeared beside Najimi, who was delighted to see him and the crowd shared the same sentiment as the interviewer. "Seiya, my friend!"
But before the interview could start, Seiya was glaring at Najimi, who raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Wh-what is it? Don't be shy!"
"Do I know you?" Seiya simply asked Najimi with the crowd laughing in the background.
"Yes, you know me! You are the…" Najimi paused as he animatedly eyed his attire within close range, making Seiya step backward instinctively. "You are the one who—EHHH?! What are you doing?!"
Najimi shrieked in reaction to Seiya grabbing her head suddenly and trying to crank it as if he was trying to uncover something as Najimi was the one who took a step back.
"I thought you were that annoying goddess hiding in a body." Seiya presumed as the crowd laughed, making Najimi chuckle hesitantly.
"Okay… so, about your match tonight. Wait… You mentioned something about an annoying goddess, is he or is she your partner?" Najimi then began his spree of questions to the lone swordsman.
"I thought you would know her since we are friends, after all," Seiya answered, much to the confusion of the new interviewer.
"Wait... I know her?" Najimi asked, perplexed that Seiya had a partner, earning more giggles from the crowd as he eventually slapped his face, confused about his current agenda as an interviewer. "Okay, never mind that. Anything to say about that match?"
"Nothing. I thought you were Ristarte." Seiya simply answered as he made a walk out of Najimi, who was rather puzzled than surprised by Seiya's final remarks, and he scratched his head annoyingly. "Who?!"
"Well, uh, thank you to Najimi Osana, one of our newest members in AVW! And using ' one of' purposely, he isn't alone as we will take a look at some talents that will be making their presence known soon in Anime Valley Wrestling!" Excalibur said as both Shun and Corey nodded in anticipation. "Let's meet them."
In a dark-dimmed room, Excalibur was seen in his business attire while holding a paper with the newest talents in front of him, awaiting their first comments and thoughts about the company.
"Welcome, everyone, I am here in a room with the first batch of new talents that will expect to debut soon in Anime Valley Wrestling!" Excalibur said as he shook hands with the talents. "Would you like to introduce yourself first?"
"Yes, I will. My name is Subaru Natsuki. I am a hikikomori, which means I have been withdrawn from society for a long time. During those times, I am just browsing through this stuff known as wrestling, it is not my cup of tea and certainly, not the type of hobby that I can get into. But being in another world and knowing that there is more than what solitude does, I realized that there was more what the outside world can offer… and one of them is friendship. I never thought that I could interact with so many of them. Just like what the saying goes 'the more that I dig, the deeper that I can get into finding the treasure'." The teenager in his usual tracksuit wear introduced himself.
"Then what got you into the wrestling as a whole?" Excalibur asked.
"You know, like what I said, it's friendship. I gained a lot of friends who I can put my trust in. And every one of them entered the business and they enticed me to go as well, I was skeptical at first because of how I read everything about its dangers. But when I looked at them while they explained the whole gist of it, I got this feeling in my gut that I should be able to handle this whole business and my gut says that I should trust their advice. I mean, look at my other friends out there, they became fan favorites and it led them to success in different companies, hell, they even won championship belts! And I think, also, that pro-wrestling as a whole is a fascinating dimension to take ventures because I can gain more than what I had before as a kid in his solitary confinement known as home."
"Okay, thank you for that wonderful perception, that was quite an insight," Excalibur said, nodding and digesting what the NEEW was saying the whole time as he faced a woman, who was the same age as Subaru. "Now onto you, miss…?"
"Alexia Midgar. A princess of the namesake kingdom and I have been dreaming of honing other abilities rather than my swordsmanship, so I decided to try out pro-wrestling. The main reason is that I doubt my swordsmanship but since meeting with my training partner saying that it is 'fine' but I couldn't get but skeptical about his verdict. In addition, I tried to be as talented as my sister but realized that I might grown into her so closely that I find it unhealthy. Then, I decided to become a pro wrestler, it was quite hard at first but once you get the hang of it, you will be much better eventually. I think I can say that I found my new niche and that is pro-wrestling."
"Anything to say to your critics, if there is ever one?" Excalibur asked.
"Huh. You might think mighty of me as a princess, then you are wrong for that. Once I get that spotlight above my head, I will show you what it means to be liberated, and be out of the shadow of my talented sister. And, I don't forget when I say this, I will kick your asses when I see you." Alexia said with a snarl as she crossed her arms to close her statement.
"Interesting timeline for you and quite a statement you got there." Excalibur nodded in response to Alexia's statement as he faced the third and final talent, or this time, talents due to them being two, who were beside Alexia. "I assume you are a team but regardless, let's introduce yourselves."
" Fufu~ My name is Chisato Nishikigi and to my left is my partner-in-crime, Takina Inoue." She introduced herself and her partner to the commentator, who nodded thoughtfully. "Literally, partners-in-crime because we used to be on duty as agents. We eliminate targets who pose threats to everyone, I wouldn't call them criminals though."
"I would call them criminals and take them down with everything I got." Takina nonchalantly commented, much to the surprise of Chisato. "Besides being agents, I think we can prosper around being proficient at weapons, and our fists and kicks, so that's why we tried being pro wrestlers."
"Yeah." Chisato nodded in agreement to Takina's statement. "Both are dangerous but when you think about it for a long time, I think that our team synergy could improve when we decided to train extensively for this sport and you know, we could meet more friends!"
"But… being in a spotlight with thousands of people looking at you, it is quite challenging for me," Takina said, strongly admitting to being an anxious one. "But training for years and being with Chisato might help grow with my personality…"
Chisato gasped in embarrassment as she hugged Takina unexpectedly, much to the shock of the latter.
"I-I didn't know you were so nervous right now, I should have known!" Chisato said.
"It's okay, I think I am ready," Takina responded while trying to get out of the embrace of her partner.
"So, when will you guys expect to show up in AVW?" Excalibur asked them, not just about the duo but also about the previous interviewees.
"Whenever I feel like it," Alexia said while her arms crossed.
"When fate decides to show up, then I think it should be that time," Subaru answered vaguely.
"Well, I heard there's this event named Addendum, right? But who knows, we might show up as soon as next Tuesday!" Chisato exclaimed as she freed Takina from the hold.
"I am just ready for whatever this company will bring to us," Takina added.
"Alright, thanks for the time, guys. We'll see you soon." Excalibur said as he stood up and bowed to the talents and shook their hands one more time, thanking the masked commentator for the interview.
Training Room
Nagisa was seen stretching his limbs slowly against a bench to the chorus of boos as Karma then appeared with his newly-won AVW Infinity Championship on his shoulder. The crowd's booing went louder as soon as the champion met Nagisa.
"Hey, dude! You have done it. Congratulations, champ!" Nagisa greeted the new champion before they could play their animated fist-bump.
"Thank you, dude. It was a hard one but I survived and became the new AVW Infinity Champion!" Karma exclaimed as he rubbed his back from the pain that he suffered from his match.
"Great. But it would've been a perfect night if I won the AVW World Championship tonight! And by the end of the night, we will be the best champion duo in this company!" Nagisa said, halting his training when he stared at the new belt and gesturing that he should get one by tonight.
"Haha! I know you can do it. You almost outmatched Shinji before and you got the champion right on his mind, I know you have their numbers. Whenever the occasion arises, I will be there." Karma said, putting his arm on Nagisa's shoulder to give him words of encouragement before he could give Nagisa a light tap. "Good luck, Nagisa. But I might need to take a rest for a while."
Nagisa nodded, understanding the current condition of his partner as Karma left him alone to continue his solo training.
"Oh, it might happen tonight, gentlemen. Karma Akabane, the AVW Infinity Champion, and Nagisa Shiota, soon to become the AVW World Champion by the end of the night!" Corey said, imagining the picture of The Assassins as the duo holding both championships.
"But we will see if he can outshine both Shinji Ikari and the champion, Izuku Midoriya tonight," Shun commented.
"Right. Still to come, the 3-way match for the AVW World Championship in the main event later tonight!" Excalibur announced.
("only my railgun" by fripSide) was played in the background where multiple lightning strikes hit both sides of the entranceway and eventually on the Tron, causing the lights from the Tron and the entranceway to go off. The crowd immediately booed when the Esper showed up from the Tron holding a neon-colored pole and saw a tiny hole in front of her, where she inserted the pole in the opening, prompting the lights to go back on but this time the lights went on to the color of different variations of neon while posing with her arms tightly crossed against her chest.
"This is a singles match scheduled for one fall, with a time limit of 30 minutes. Introducing first, from Academy City, Mikoto Misaka!" Mai Sakurajima announced. The camera then captures Mikoto's different look, visibly sporting a neon-colored flower-shaped hair clip and a customized black t-shirt with her customized logo being a lightning bolt, also painted in neon colors. Plus, the ones that she didn't bother to change was her signature skirt.
"If teenagers call this current outfit of Mikoto Misaka – aesthetically pleasing, then they are correct! And she wants the spotlight to be in living color, especially since she is donning a colorful neon-themed attire!" Corey complimented Mikoto's choice of wardrobe while she sauntered her way toward the ring without looking around the neutrally reactive fans.
"Looks like she might have extra time to decorate her attire before tonight and I'm not judging her for that. I am quite impressed and she might be extra prepared for this match as well." Shun added as she entered the ring through the middle rope, waiting for the arrival of her opponent.
("yes" by Tamaru Yamada) played in the arena as the crowd cheered for the arrival of the blue-haired girl, who did not sport any special attire but her usual get-up as she stopped by the ramp her fists on the ramp and raising one of her arms with the pyro firing off the ramp before she could proceed through the entranceway.
"And her opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, Kaname Chidori!" Mai Sakurajima announced as the blue-haired girl did not interact with anyone but glared heavily at her opponent, who reciprocated the gesture and rushed towards the ring by sliding under the bottom rope. The referee slightly intervenes to calm their nerves for a while before the ring can chime.
"The tension inside the ring is palpable from here and you can feel the heat between those stares between Chidori and Misaka! This beef is getting intense every passing week and tonight, we might be witnessing the high point of this rivalry!" Excalibur exclaimed as the referee glanced between competitors before he could call the timekeeper to ring the bell as it did. The crowd began to chant in a split between the two women as the two instantly locked up with Kaname prevailing, sending Mikoto to against the ropes with the referee beginning to count to release the hold. Kaname raised her hands, relenting herself for a while.
"It is clearly in the favor of Kaname with the game of strength and all Mikoto did was feel the ropes behind her, it's a hit or miss for the part from the girl from Tokyo," Corey observed the current status of the match, where Kaname attempts to shove Mikoto, who dodges the attempt and hardly slaps Kaname in the face to the coos and boos from the crowd. The slap stuns Kaname and clutches her cheek as if she felt it badly with Mikoto beckoning her to man up.
"Oh, right off the bat! Mikoto is trying to provoke Kaname into her ruthlessness!" Shun exclaimed as Kaname attempted for a Running Clothesline but Mikoto ducked the attempt to run to the ropes to hit her own Clothesline but Kaname was too sturdy to take her down as she made another attempt for a Clothesline when she bounced back to the ropes with the same outcome. Mikoto makes a third time to take Kaname down but the latter fires back with her Clothesline, taking down Mikoto in her first shot.
"We're seeing a spamful of Clotheslines like in the video games. But this one hurts a lot and look what just Mikoto did, only making Kaname provoked with those attempts!" Excalibur exclaimed as Kaname grabbed Mikoto's hair and attempted to whip her to the ropes but the latter reversed the attempt with her Irish Whip, also the attempt was countered by Kaname, who wrung the arm of Mikoto to kick her but she ducked under from the kick and an attempted Back Elbow as she grabs Kaname's other arm, attempting for her Railgun (Pumphandle Cutter); however, Kaname lands behind Mikoto and pushes her to the rope with the latter attempting for a Clothesline but Kaname duck to bounce to the ropes, clearly attempting for a Blue-sycho Knee (Busaiku Knee) only for Mikoto to wisely rolls out of the ring before Kaname's knees get raised, earning boos from the crowd.
"Being aware of how lethal that Busaiku Knee Strike is, Mikoto can see the move coming from a mile ahead and smartly avoids it by escaping out of the ring. Maybe I can give Kaido some credit for saying Mikoto is being extra prepared for this match." Corey said as Kaname hastily exited the ring to chase Mikoto, who entered back as soon as her opponent's feet landed on the floor. Kaname then enters the ring to attack Mikoto with a Clothesline but is ducked by the latter to run to the ropes as Mikoto hits a Spinning Back Elbow, finally dropping Kaname down and going for the cover.

"Making Kaname run is all that Mikoto needed to catch her flushed with a Spinning Elbow shot to the face! But at least for now, Misaka has her hands on her foe!" Shun exclaimed as Mikoto hit a few Elbow Drops between the chest and the gut of Kaname before she could pick her up by the hair and whip her to the ropes only for Kaname to reverse the Irish Whip, sending Mikoto to the ropes and launch her in the air with a Back Body Drop then follows up with a Clothesline when Mikoto stood against the ropes, only for Mikoto to land on the apron. Right as Mikoto begins to stand on the apron, Kaname quickly went to the ropes to charge onto Mikoto with a Suicide Spear through the ropes, causing both women to land badly on the floor causing the fans to be in awe and subsequently chanting 'Holy Shit!' a few times.
"Holy bleep, indeed! That Spear through the ropes landed them in a nasty thud! These women won't stop for nothing!" Excalibur exclaimed as the referee began to count when they regained consciousness and began swapping punches from left to right with the referee started counting.
Ref: 1…2…
"They are as tough as nails as they can be, they just want to batter around!" Shun exclaimed as Kaname prevailed after blocking one of her foe's offenses and sent her face in the apron a few times before grabbing her head to the commentary table in front of them, sending the commentators backing off from their chairs.
"We almost forgot that we're sitting in front of the ring rather than being beside the entrance ramp like we usually do before. Better back off, guys." Corey quipped as the commentary team stood up from their chairs to watch Kaname shoving Mikoto's head to the cover of the commentary table continuously.
Ref: 4…5…
"Misaka might not even know where she is right now!" Shun said as the crowd continued to cheer on Kaname, who lifted Mikoto and slammed her to the cover of the announcer's table with a Back Suplex before Kaname could scream to the fans, who loved every second of it. Kaname then grabs Mikoto again and sends her back on the apron and herself as well.
"The mugging continues against Mikoto and Kaname is really on a roll here, decimating her every second," Excalibur said as Kaname grabs a lifeless Mikoto, who surprises her with a Throat Trust, making Kaname cough to the chorus of boos from the crowd. Mikoto then gave a few Forearm Shots until she was completely stunned but this only made Kaname enraged as she attempted to charge on Mikoto but the Esper launched her to hit a Flapjack on the ring post; however, Kaname saw it coming and was able to stop the momentum. But Mikoto quickly lifted Kaname up on her shoulder and hit a Shock Treatment (Argentine Backbreaker Drop), making Kaname's back land on her shoulders and then on the apron with the latter screaming pain when she fell on the floor, much to the chagrin of the fans.
"Hard fall on the floor goes Kaname and that really brought her much shock, thanks to the Shock Treatment by Mikoto from the apron!" Corey exclaimed as Mikoto, who was resting and clutching her chest in a corner, told the referee to begin counting while her opponent was on the floor as he nodded and began raising his fingers every second.
Ref: 1…2…
"Mikoto decides that a count-out victory would be sufficient enough just to get even with her adversary, who still writhing in pain," Shun commented as the crowd continues to boo while Kaname slowly begin to regain her movements and consciously crawls to the announcer's table to get her balance from standing up. The crowd began clapping to rally the damaged Kaname.
Ref: 3…4…
"I think she has trouble getting back her senses but I think it is desperation mode from both of these women!" Corey exclaimed as Kaname slowly walked and climbed up on the apron to enter through the ropes but did not see Mikoto incoming when she took advantage to hit her in the chest with a Running Knee Strike, sending her automatically back into the ring and went for the cover with a hook of the leg.
Ref: 1…2…
"Kaname was able to kick out just in time but the punishment that she has been put through may be starting to feel on her body with Mikoto taking advantage," Excalibur said as Mikoto kept her emotions intact with a raise of her hands in the air and she begins grounding Kaname with offenses to the boos of the crowd. Mikoto then picks Kaname up by the hair and hardly whips her to a corner, back first, and makes a run to her with a Running Corner Dropkick to the face. Mikoto was not done with the punishment as she used her strength to carry Kaname on the top turnbuckle in a sitting position.
"Now and certainly, Mikoto has put Kaname on the top and she wants her to be a sitting duck from up there," Corey said as Mikoto hit a Jumping Dropkick to the face of Kaname, much to the dislike of the crowd. Mikoto's offense did not stop there as she started to climb up to the top also to give her more punches to the head and stopped once she realized that Kaname was knocked silly.
"I don't know what's going through Mikoto's mind but it might not end well for Kaname!" Shun exclaimed as Mikoto slung Kaname's arm, attempting for a Superplex; however, Kaname was somehow blocking the attempt using her weight. Mikoto tried to give her more offense but the crowd loudly cheered when Kaname blocked the fist and her eyes widened in rage, giving her a taste of her own medicine with the punches.
"I am quite shocked at how this turned out, Kaname Chidori is fighting back with a purpose and she is not backing down!" Corey exclaimed as Mikoto was not dazed by the attack, Kaname lifted her to the top rope, crotch first and Mikoto was screaming in pain while Kaname took a breather. After a few seconds, Kaname stood up on the top turnbuckle and cruelly hit Kaname with a Diving Lariat, turning Mikoto inside out as she fell to the mat and Kaname also to the fans' awe.
"Diving Lariat by Kaname turns Mikoto inside out! And both women are down and out!" Excalibur exclaimed as the fans began to support Kaname by chanting her name while the referee began to count.
Ref: 1…2…
"These women are as tough and resilient as they could be and how much more they can take?" Shun asked as the referee continued to count while both adversaries started and slowly rose from their feet with the help of the ropes from different sides. The women then turn around to meet with each other and their presence makes them enraged as they begin slapping with Mikoto hitting Kaname first to the cheek, and Kaname reciprocates the slap back to Mikoto, sending her staggering. Then, Mikoto responds with a Forearm Shot, which is also the same action that Kaname made on Mikoto.
"Oh, man, these girls aren't gonna take themselves out just easily, aren't they?" Corey asked as both foes swap offense for each other when the crowd began to boo when Mikoto kicks Kaname's gut a few times before she could whip her to the ropes; however, the crowd went on cheering again when Kaname fires back with an explosive Clothesline, taking Mikoto down on the mat and was followed by another Clothesline. Kaname then grabs Mikoto by the hair and whips her to ropes as she launches her in the air with a Back Body Drop, making Mikoto shout in pain after she lands on her back to the approval of the fans in Philadelphia.
"Here she is, Kaname Chidori is on a hot streak here with a fiery comeback!" Excalibur exclaimed as Kaname saw Mikoto on a corner, and charged toward her with a Stinger Splash, making Mikoto wobbly on both feet before Kaname kicked her in the gut and pummeling her in the back, eventually lifting her to hit a Sitout Powerbomb, automatically going for the cover when her feet was against Mikoto's arms.
Ref: 1…2…
"Liger Bomb wasn't enough to eliminate Mikoto Misaka and Kaname is not surprised about it because she might be about on the verge of winning this match," Corey said as Kaname gave her a few brutal stomps to Mikoto's prone body to the cheers of the crowd. Kaname then slowly picked her up and crossed Mikoto's arms, lifting her eventually on her shoulders and was looking for a Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex but Mikoto surprisingly fought her when she punched Kaname's forehead with a few until Kaname had no choice but to release her.
"I have no freaking idea why Misaka is still fighting over and she is not stopping with those brutal shots to the face," Shun said in bewilderment as Mikoto fought back with a few Knife Edge Chops but Kaname reacts madly and fires back with her own Knife Edge Chops to the slim chest of Mikoto, who was almost falling to her knees but recovered as Kaname went to the ropes. Mikoto somehow was able to attempt to shut Kaname's momentum with a Clothesline, which was ducked by Kaname, who went to the other side of the ropes only for Mikoto to catch her off-guard with a Body Zapper (Codebreaker), much to the disdain of the crowd.
"Oh! I think Kaname is going for the Blue-sycho Knee but was able to see it from the distance and counters it with a Codebreaker!" Excalibur exclaimed as Mikoto began seething over at her opponent and told her to 'see you' and Mikoto was able to connect the dots and hit a Railgun (Pumphandle Cutter) to the negative roar from the audience after Mikoto went for a cover, hooking the leg of Kaname.

Kaname kicks out, much to the shock of Mikoto and the crowd, who subsequently begin cheering for Kaname. Mikoto then told the referee and asked the sacred question only for the answer of the latter by raising two fingers.
"What?! I thought Kaname was done for! I don't know what's stopping her to give up!" Corey said in amazement as Mikoto hastily climbed up to the top rope and looked at the fans, telling them that this might 'never wake her up' and dived off from the top with a Diving Knee Strike, hitting Kaname right against her face, causing for the fans to boo Mikoto before the referee could check on her.
"Mikoto has lost it! She couldn't control herself anymore and she wanted to finish her off! But not for the reasons that everyone expects!" Shun exclaimed as Mikoto glared at her unconscious opponent until she glanced back at the timekeeper's area. While the referee was looking to find signs of Kaname's consciousness, Mikoto rolled out of the ring and asked for the crew to get off of their chairs and they complied with her grabbing one of the chairs, much to the disdain of the nearby fans.
"She's bringing the chair to the ring and I think she wants to destroy her and…" Excalibur paused as someone from the crowd grabbed her hair and slapped her right in the cheek, stunning Mikoto and the fans, who couldn't quite get the situation. The individual in question was donning the usual production attire with a face mask and a hat covering their identity. This individual hopped off the barricade to grab the chair that Mikoto initially grabbed as she whacked her with a hard chair shot to the forehead, sending the crowd in awe. "…What in the hell? Someone has just attacked Misaka!"
"And they are wearing the crew attire, who in the—What's going on?" Shun asked in disbelief. Once the masked individual realized that the referee might turn around in a few seconds, the individual sent Mikoto back to the ring with the masked individual eventually removed the mask and the cap to reveal a snow-haired individual in her ponytail and her eyes showed the same color as her hair, where the crowd began to murmur about this newly revealed person, staring attentively at the ring.
"Wait a minute… You guys know who she is?" Corey asked his colleagues to no avail as Kaname saw the new person outside and was glancing between her and Mikoto, who began to rise on her own with the help of the ropes. Kaname then looks at Mikoto, who turns around only to be met with a Blue-sycho Knee (Busaiku Knee) and crawls for the cover with her arms slinging across her chest.

The bell rang as the winner's theme was played with the crowd cheering eventually.
"Here is your winner, Kaname Chidori!" Mai Sakurajima announced the victor as the referee looked after Kaname to raise her on her feet and her arm subsequently. She then looks over at the individual outside and her face is evident that she actually knows the individual.
"With some sort of help from this new woman, Kaname was able to pick up another victory over Mikoto! But from the looks of it, I think Kaname knows this woman." Excalibur assumed as that individual rolled inside the ring to meet her and raised the other arms as if she was supporting her, much to the confusion of Kaname.
"You are probably on the mark there, Excalibur. She actually raises the arm of Kaname but… something is off with her expression, she seems to be confused." Corey added. But all of a sudden, the lights and the Tron began to shine the color red heavily throughout the arena but only lasted for five seconds, now adding more confusion to Kaname but dismissing the lighting change entirely afterward.
"What was that?" Shun asked about the sudden lighting mishap that went through the arena but no reply was made as the referee started to check on Mikoto, who was regaining consciousness, while Mikoto was staring at the snow-haired lady. The camera pans to the backstage area where an interview begins.
Backstage Area
"Thank you, Excalibur. I am here right now with the AVW Women's World Champion, Rin Tohsaka!" Visha introduced the champion as cheers roared in the background. "So, do you have any plans or strategies for your title match tonight?"
"Well, sort of," Rin answered after the microphone was passed to her. "I have discovered some weaknesses in my opponents for tonight. For example, Asuka has a big ego and doesn't consider her partner as a true partner. As for Ami, despite being new in this business, she is talented and could be a cunning individual. I noticed in her talk show on Elevation that she almost hit Asuka with a vase but decided not to. I believe there will be a conflict between them during the match due to their egos, ultimately leading to the destruction of their association."
"Hmmm…" Visha said silently, nodding in understanding. "What about Rei Ayanami? Are there any flaws you can find in her?"
"I want to understand Rei, but when I am with her, all I see is aggression and her obvious focus on my championship. She is a talented woman and a former champion, but when she is within my reach, we will see how she will combat with me. No, in fact, when everyone is within my reach, I will make their fates…" Rin said, theatrically snapping her fingers and adjusting the championship belt on her shoulder before she could say the final word against Visha. "…switched."
Rin then patted Visha lightly on her head to indicate that the interview was over so she could focus on her match for the night.
