No matter how he broke it down Dallas couldn't fathom exactly why after all these years he should want to meet his biological father. His dad didn't seem to give a rip the last sixteen years, pretty sure now wasn't going to be much different. Yet here Dal was 300 miles into this road trip wondering why he was here and what his mother ever saw in this guy.

An AU where Soda and Darry chase after Ponyboy when he runs out the house. Johnny doesn't kill Bob, but Ponyboy suffers from a horrible fever afterwards. Luckily, he has two big brothers to look after him. (oneshot)
