Last time John went into town to find out about the man wanted for ransom of five-thousand dollars. As John went to the local pub to get his favorite drink, a poster caught his eye of the wanted man. But John didn't have to search for long as he picked up the poster, and he heard a crowd behind him. The man from the poster was being chased by the crowd. Wanting the money, John pulled his gun to shoot the man, but the man did a trick to make the bullets fall. One shot was somehow turned around to hit John, and the man from the poster disappeared.

"Damn, I've been shot by my own bullet," John says, trying to stop the bleeding. "Okay, this should do," John says, using a rag to stop the bleeding. As John does this, he hears a crash in an alleyway. "There, I heard him," John says out loud so the crowd sees this, and starts to run toward the alleyway. Damn, I need to get up and chase him, John thought to himself, getting up and running. As John goes through the alleyway before the crowd and sees the man ahead of him, he starts to run faster.

John catches up to the man from the wanted poster. He hears the man huffing, "Get, (wheeze) get the hell away from me!" The man from the poster says to mainly John since the crowd is still far from them. "No, mister, I need the money from the wanted poster, so please stop moving so that I could get a clean shot," John tells the man. "Why the hell is everyone (cough) calling me a wanted man? I haven't done anything!" The man yells, "Well, sir, you'll have to tell that to the judge-" John pauses for a second after a wanted poster flies behind him, with a picture of him on it with another five thousand dollars reward, dead or alive.

"Hey, they're both wanted men! I need to get my hands on them for the money," one of the people in the crowd yelled to the rest of the crowd. "Oh shit, looks like I'm on the run too," John says, trying to keep up his mood. "What do you mean by that?" the man asks. "There was a poster of me saying the same thing your poster had, sir," John says to the man. "But it doesn't have my name on it, only my face."

"Hey, kid, it's getting dark, and I'm going to head off," the man says with a smile. "Oh no," John says, looking concerned at the sunset. "What's wrong, kiddo?" the man asks John. "Scared of the dark?" the man says, trying to make a joke. "No, sir, I have schizophrenia, and it only acts up at night," John tells the man. "I need to go home," John says with a sad look.

As John tells the man this, he looks around and starts to see shadows around him, yelling, and laughing. "Oh shit, they're here," John says, looking around with fear in his eyes. "Hmm, alright, kid, I'll help you this time, but you better not try to shoot me again." The man pulls out his whip rope and hits John with it on the arm. As he does this, John sees ripples around his body. Then, the man whips the rope to hit as many people as he can that were chasing them. As John continues to run, he notices that he's moving faster, way faster than any normal person could. He turns to see the man running the same speed as him. He turns around and notices the people stopped moving in a running position. The biggest thing for a moment is that his mind was clear and didn't hear anything except for the two running.

"what the hell?," John says, confused about the sudden increase of speed. And the schizophrenia stopped, but why, John thinks to himself. "What, what is this? What are you doing!?" John asks as the ripples begin to fade away, and they start running at a normal pace. "What, what the hell just happened, sir?" John yells, confused about what just happened to him. "Please stop calling me Sir. The name is Surge, Surge Zeppeli." The man running with John tells him. "Well then, Surge, what the hell just hap-" As John started talking to Surge, his schizophrenia started to act up again, and he started to hear and see things again. As John looks to his left, he sees a shadow figure run towards him. "LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!" Surge turns to look at John but notices he's yelling at nothing.

"Are you crazy?" Surge asks John, looking concerned. "No, I just need to go home," John replies, gazing up at the night sky. After running away from the crowd and John's yelling, they finally reach the farm. "Surge, can you tell me what you did?" John asks, curious if Surge's actions had anything to do with his temporary relief from schizophrenia. "No," Surge says, his expression firm. John is taken aback by the abruptness of his response. "But Surge, I swear, what you did helped me stop my schizophrenia, even if it was just for a moment. I want to know if I could-" Before John can finish, he realizes they've reached the farm, but something seems off.

"Hey, that's your farm, right?" Surge asked, looking at John's farm surrounded by what looked like hundreds of people with burning sticks. "Yeah, but what the hell are these people doing on my farm!?" John said, not believing what he was currently seeing. They began to walk closer to John's farm, but then a familiar man turned to see the pair. "There, there! Both of the outlaws in one place," the man yelled. "Mr. Blake? What are you people doing here!?" John noticed that the man yelling at them was indeed Mr. Blake, holding John's wanted poster. "We're here for money, kid. Times have been tough on us, but with this money, everything will go away. My son could come home from prison, and I could just be happy again!" Mr. Blake yelled at John, looking determined to get the money for what he needed.

"Mr. Blake, you've got to believe me. That poster isn't-" Before John could finish pleading his case to Mr. Blake, Surge grabbed him by the shoulder. "John, I don't know what to tell you, but I don't think they'll listen to us. They want that money," Surge tells John, still wondering why they have wanted posters. "No, no, no, I just need to talk to them, reason with them." As John begins to walk towards them, many of the people get closer to John's farm. One man begins to talk. "We can't have these outlaws having somewhere to live, whoops," as he says this, he throws his torch on John's house. Many begin to follow in suit, and they throw their torches at whatever they can. "NOOOOOOOOO!" John yells at what he is watching.

"John, we need to leave. We can't stay here. Look, I'm going to start running. See? I'm beginning to run," Surge tries to convince John to run with him so he doesn't have to run alone in the night with his terrors. "This land was my father's. I wanted to use it to build his dream farm," John says out loud. "What the hell is wrong with you people!" John yells at the crowd, wondering how he used to sell to these people but now they are burning down everything. "Shut up, kid," Mr. Blake yells. "My father found this stupid golden arrow during the Civil War. It's done nothing but bring bad luck to me. Now I could use it for good," Mr. Blake yells, pulling out a bow with the golden arrow. "John, get out of the way," Surge says, too far from John to convince him to run.

Mr. Blake shot the arrow and hit the ground. Near John's foot, "Hahahah see that, John? Looks like I didn't need to-" As Surge was laughing at how Mr. Blake failed to hit John, the arrow began to move and somehow moved to hit John in the throat. "Holy shit!" Surge yelled, as John began to fall and hit the ground. "(cough) (gargles)" John still seemed to be alive from the coughing and gasping. "Oh shit, oh shit, come on kid, it's nothing. We need to get out of here," Surge went to grab John and put him on his shoulder, to begin to run again. "Hey, kid, you wanted to learn how to do what I did, well, basically, it's motion. It's motion from someone, or something that I could transform or transfer to use myself, but I need to hit someone or something moving with a specific motion, which my whip rope always does, but your schizophrenia thing, I don't know about that, kid." Surge told John, who was still gushing blood from his throat. "Hey, they're getting away!" One of the men yelled, and the crowd began to chase them. "Oh no, oh no, I'm too tired to run. I'm sorry, kid, but looks like we're both dead."
