Author's Notes:
Welcome, foolish mortals! This was not planned but inspiration struck.
So while the one shot awaits Halloween night, here's something to act as a precursor for things to come. Though spoiler alert for the recent episode of Agatha All Along in this Addendum though given a particular character. Trust me.
All I have to say, hope you enjoy!
"So how's everything with your granddaughter?" Captain Carter asked Wu in one of the many coffee break rooms of Illuminati headquarters. Both women preferred tea however as Carter and Wu brewed their respective beverages.
"Thankfully her ventures into superheroics after The Rani incident have been going well." Wu replied with a soft smile, clearly proud of her granddaughter.
"Though apparently, they had their first encounter with the Sontarans recently." She then added.
"Is that so?" Captain Carter inquired out of curiosity as she was informed at another point in time about the Sontarans.
Suddenly, they were alarmed by the door being swung open and were greeted by the sight of an out of breath Fuu Hououji.
"Dr. Hououji, what is it?" Asked Wu.
"There's been a massacre!" Fuu exclaimed in horror.
"Where?!" Captain Carter asked in alarm.
"And who has done it?" Wu asked.
Fuu gulped nervously as she responded, "Possibly...Krueger."
Earth-092796 - Witchright Hall
There had been no time to get a proper response team as Wu, Captain Carter and Fuu had opted to go to Earth-092796 themselves before they were to call backup despite regulations requiring they get a squad immediately.
Their ship, disguised as a family Volkswagen, pulled up to a seemingly normal looking home. And the trio hurriedly got out of their vehicle.
As Wu, Captain Carter and Fu raced to Witchright Hall, they were instantly greeted by a peculiar sight right at the front door; a blade piercing through the door.
"What on Earth?" Captain Carter exclaimed in disbelief.
Wu opened the door and to the trio's shock, it had turned out an axe had pierced through the front door from the inside.
Urgently, the trio entered Witchright Hall and ran straight into the living room which had been utterly destroyed with chairs broken and thrown across. Windows broken. The walls were even torn open.
And to their horror, there were dead bodies all over the floor in gory, bloody, gruesome manner. Too many students to count as to how many were murdered and how they died.
A student was literally in pieces, as if his body were chopped up by a pendulum or something sharp. Another was splattered on the wall with nothing left of his body. Only a few cracked bones. As if he was blasted by a cannon.
Another student, a dark brown skinned girl had her flesh torn off and the rest of her body fallen into a bloody mess of muscle, blood and bone.
Very much, there were quite a few splatters across the walls.
Wu however found an older blonde woman who had been hung from the ceiling. Her neck had clearly snapped.
"Oh my god!" Wu exclaimed in Cantonese, horrified.
Wu deduced this woman was likely a teacher.
"What on Earth could have happened that resulted in this?" Asked Captain Carter. "This appears to have been done awfully recently."
"It's very possible the students and teacher staff of Witchright Hall could have attempted to fight back at Krueger as soon as they were aware of his presence." Fuu began to theorize. "Something must have gone out of control immediately."
"That would be an understatement." Captain Carter remarked as she held a dagger covered in blood before she placed it on a table.
Suddenly, they heard Fuu gasp. She had walked into another room earlier during the investigation.
"What happened?!" Captain Carter asked Fuu as she and Wu rushed in.
In response, Fuu pointed to the body of a dead dog that appeared to be stabbed on the sides and the head.
"Oh my Lord..." Captain Carter felt she could throw up.
"This universe is known for talking animals." Wu said. "The dog is no exception and I unfortunately assume the dog said that prompted Krueger to be this violent toward an animal."
Captain Carter and Fuu nodded slowly in agreement.
Afterwards, the trio went into the office of the headmaster; Professor James Hexton.
Like the rest and faculty members, Hexton suffered a gruesome fate as his face was torn apart with chunks of flesh and some hair missing, scratch marks on his back as blood poured from the side of his head as his eyes remained opened.
The trio looked as sickened as they were earlier whilst feeling remorse for the professor as they were about every other victim.
Captain Carter then noticed two books on the desk. She walked over to read one of them. Her eyes widened in surprise as she read the contents.
"One student survived!" She exclaimed.
"What?" Wu asked in surprise as she and Fuu joined Captain Carter.
"It says Amanda Wiccan was excused from her studies and sessions from Witchright Hall for the day due in part of her cousin Sabrina's wedding." Captain Carter read the contents aloud.
"Ms. Spellman saved her cousin from Krueger and she doesn't even know it!" Wu remarked in surprise.
"This other book, I wonder what it is." Fuu said as she opened the contents. "It's a journal."
As she flipped through the pages, a particular set of pages caught her attention as her blood ran cold upon reading the contents.
"Look at this." She called over to Captain Carter and Wu to read with her.
"'If you are reading this journal,'" Fuu read the contents aloud. "'Then it is evident I failed to save my students. This being, this entity, I assume a former mortal who managed to gain magic or some demon has been killing my students and regretfully, I was too late to believe them. This man, his name is Freddy Krueger, and he has been murdering individuals in other universes other than our own. From the information I managed to decipher from him when appealing to his ego, apparently due to the passage of time working differently in the dream world, he has been killing individuals for five hundred years.""
The trio gasped in shock.
"Is that possible?" Captain Carter asked.
"Evidently Krueger has made it so." Fuu replied before she continued reading aloud. "'I do not know what will be done for Amanda but I pray for her safety. As I lay dying, I can only hope that those who read this journal will now be aware of his existence and fight back, for he is a threat to all mortals and witches and warlocks. Regards, Professor James Hexton.""
"That poor man." Fuu lamented. "Those poor students."
Captain Carter and Wu hung their heads in silence.
Wu sighed and exhaled, "We'll have to call the Janitors to clean up this mess."
"You two stay here though to overlook things." She then added as she addressed Captain Carter and Fuu.
"Where are you going?" Asked Captain Carter.
"I know a consultant. In another universe." Wu replied. "Her expertise is needed."
'And unfortunately, she's had a history with him during childhood.' She thought to herself.
With that, Wu ran back to the ship to make her plans for another trip.
Elsewhere...
Amanda Wiccan was among the bridesmaids of her cousin Sabrina's wedding between her and Aaron. As she stood with Sabrina's roommates, who were also bridesmaids, Amanda suddenly shuddered a bit. As if she had felt a cold chill.
"He knows he missed you."
Amanda slightly jumped as she was startled by a woman next to her, all dressed in black and with a hood around her head and carried a bouquet of black roses.
"Who are you?" Amanda asked the woman out of confusion.
"Call me Rio." The woman introduced herself. "But that's not important."
"What is important though," She then added with glee in her tone, creepily chipper. "He may be an asshole and takes the souls for himself but I like his work. Not my type though. Not into guys. But all those bodies and he kills them all with style. And he'll come for you next."
Rio then gave Amanda a small wink before her face morphed briefly into a skull.
Amanda gasped as she closed her eyes and shook her head. But as she opened her eyes, the woman was gone.
She wondered if she just hallucinated the woman who made the threat. But it did not matter. Amanda pushed the thought aside. Probably nothing.
Later on when Sabrina left the altar as she realized Aaron was not her soul mate, everyone from Hilda, Sabrina's roommates, Sabrina's father, Amanda herself, all rushed outside for Sabriba to finally marry her actual soul mate; Harvey Kinkle.
After their big kiss, she and Harvey drove off on their motorcycle to enjoy their honeymoon. As the guests clapped and happy for the newlyweds, Amanda's happiness for her cousin was interrupted.
"You'll never see them again!"
She heard a male voice growl and laugh in a sinister fashion.
Amanda turned around to see who it was. But nothing. No one but her heard the voice.
Amanda shrugged as she thought she imagined it. As she turned back, a little girl dressed in white, whilst playing jump rope, eyed on her as she hummed a familiar tune.
"One, two, Freddy's coming for you..."
Author's Notes:
- I wasn't going to have something like a precursor to my upcoming one shot but I had a struck of inspiration after I had watched a video about the failed spin offs of the 90s Sabrina The Teenage Witch sitcom and Witchright Hall was one of them and I likely reminded myself of existence but even so.
So in the end, I felt my one shot needed more teens killed anyway so I made this.
- And honestly, Witchright Hall never really was acknowledged again. Might as well include an explanation of what happened. And this is going to tie in with the one shot bit given a particular section with horrific implications.
- Earth-092696 is the designated universe number for the sitcom version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
- I took some inspiration from the start of John Carpenter's The Thing with the crew discovering the aftermath of an arctic base who had been attacked by the Thing creature. The axe on the front door is meant to be a homage.
The idea here being I'm leaving it up to the reader's imagination what could have happened. One might consider this a noodle incident even.
- And in case anyone asks, how would this scenario be possible? I point to the Freddy's Nightmares episode Photo Finish, more specifically, the second half of the episode.
- Yes, there was a talking dog in the Witchright Hall episode.
- The five hundred years thing, I wanted to play around with time and dreams. Like, when you get down to it, dreams can either feel really short or long despite the many hours of sleep and I do speak from experience. And it can feel sudden apparently according to scientific studies, time slows down in dreams.
- Rio Vidal, or rather, Death, was something last minute. I like the reveal in the recent Agatha All Along episode at the time of this writing and I've been wanting to put Rio Vidal in my Infinity Crisis stories anyway so, I added her.
- In case one didn't figure it out, this Addendum takes place during the series finale of Sabrina The Teenage Witch called Soul Mates.
I thought it'd make for a fun but morbid contrast between a happy ending but in the background, something sinister is happening.
- I think ultimately I'm going to set up Amanda Wiccan as a decoy protagonist ala Tina in the original Nightmare on Elm Street. So, don't get too attached in other words.
- I was going to hint Freddy via his razor gloved hand somewhere but ultimately went with a jump rope girl humming the Freddy rhyme. Still building him up.
That's about it and look out for my upcoming Infinity Crisis one shot this Halloween. See ya soon!
