Astral was always sensitive when it came to his stomach and arms.

It was always made obvious, and the way he'd push the person away from those areas only confirmed it. Nobody knew what to do to help him with the sensitivity. All they could do while they tried to figure something out was make sure they didn't touch his arms and stomach. Everyone talked about making him some clothes to cover those spots, but they didn't know how to go about it. They didn't know what would be good for him where they could touch his arms and stomach without any issues.

It could be too thin, or it could be pretty thick but uncomfortable to wear. Not to mention, stores might not have what he needed along with it being the right size. Jinmay could make it, but it would take her some time to figure out what would work for Astral.

Peridot noticed how sensitive Astral was, and that everyone was trying to think of how exactly to help. She decided to take it into her own hands to help out. She knew how Emerald was with certain fabrics, even if she wasn't sensitive anywhere like Astral was, so she had an idea where to start. It would be a guesstimate, but she went through everything she had. Once Peridot came across one fabric she owned that might work. Thick, soft, nothing that would be itchy. It should be perfect, and she didn't need to go to the store to get any new material.

She got to work immediately, simply hoping that it'll work like she hoped it will.

After a while, Peridot finished sewing.

She went over to her brother, who was watching the holo-TV. A quick glance, and it was some kind of documentary. She wouldn't place what it was for exactly within the few seconds she looked at the screen. The lime preteen took a deep breath before she walked over to Astral. She held it behind her back to keep it a surprise from him. Her tail swayed from side to side.

Astral noticed Peridot walking to him. He smiled and waved his hand.

"Hey, Peri!"

"Hey, Astral!" She smiled. "Mind if you close your eyes and raise your arms up for a moment?"

He raised an eyebrow at her and his smile disappeared, feeling confused about her sudden request. He closed his eyes and raised his arms.

"So what's this for?"

Peridot snickered, hoping for a positive reaction from him. She didn't answer, she only made a swift motion and threw her arms downwards. He jumped for a moment and his eyes shot open. He looked down to see a blue, oversized sweater on his person. She somehow got it on him without touching his arms. Astral looked up at Peridot, who moved back and played with her hair. A light blush formed on her face as she looked away. Her tail still swayed from side to side.

"Do you like it?" She asked, almost bashful. "I know how sensitive some parts of your body are, so I thought maybe I could make something that could help with that. If it's not to your liking, I can go make another one that is. I… wanted it to be a surprise, that's why I didn't say anything beforehand."

Astral's eyes became bigger, sparkling with joy and hope that he could hug others without his sensory issues getting in the way. Before Peridot could say anything else, he hugged her tightly and lifted her off the ground. His tail wagged heavily.

The soft feeling of the sweater, the way he didn't feel anything but the fabric on his arms and stomach, he couldn't feel her in those areas, everything was perfect to him. Even her happiness and feeling bashful about it was sweet in his eyes. All that filled him right now was joy, especially as he buried his face in the crook of her neck. He was able to hug his loved ones without having any problems now.

"Thank you, Peri. This means the world to me."

Her expression softened. She pressed her mouth on his forehead. Her tail wag mirrored his.

"I can tell, and I'm glad I could do something for you."

Suddenly, a thought came into mind. Astral put her down and looked at her with a smile.

"Ooh, do ya wanna know the history behind sweaters?"

She snorted with a smile. She knew exactly where this was going, and she was more than happy to hear him info dump.

"Yeah, just let me get a snack." Peridot answered.

She grabbed one from the kitchen and they sat down next to each other. Astral paused his show before he started going on about the history behind sweaters. Peridot listened to him intently.

Chiro and Jinmay came into the room. Jinmay had a long sleeved shirt in her hands.

"Hey, Astral, we have something for you-"

They then noticed Astral and Peridot sitting right next to each other. He hugged her with his arms pulling away every few seconds to flap them. Peri then noticed Chiro and Jinmay. She pulled away from Astral.

"Oh, hey Uncle Chiro! Hey Aunt Jinmay!"

"I was going to give you this shirt, Astral," Jinmay held up what she made, "but it looks like you already have something."

Astral immediately looked at Jinmay. He got up and ran over to her. He grabbed it from her.

"No, thank you, Aunt Jinmay! I appreciate it!"

He rolled up a sleeve to feel the shirt on his bare arm. Astral kept part of the shirt Jinmay made on him for a moment to focus on how it felt. Soft, it didn't bother him, but it felt a little thinner than he'd like it to be. He touched his arm with it there and he felt a bit of his hand there. If he wore it, he might feel more of anything there. He couldn't wear it by itself, but he was grateful regardless. He removed his sweater, put the shirt on, then put the sweater on top of it. The shirt underneath couldn't be seen due to how big the sweater was, even with the neck part of it.

He hugged Jinmay. "It's a little thin by itself, but I love it."

"I'll keep working on it then." Jinmay smiled.

"I can help out as well, but I'll let Astral finish info dumping." Peridot said.

Chiro and Jinmay nodded. They let the two talk and left the room.

Jinmay let out a breath she didn't know she held in, almost a sigh of relief. She looked back with a small smile. She brought her hand up to her chest.

"At least he likes it," Jinmay quietly let out.

Chiro put his hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it just means you can make more clothes for him and you have an excuse to steal Peridot away from us. I'd say that's a win!"

He chuckled; Jinmay nodded. She couldn't help but smile wider at him. That was another bright side to this; she might take him up on that and steal Peridot for the weekend to make clothes for Astral.

Astral never stopped wearing his sweaters, it became his favorite thing. His arms were still sensitive when he became cybernetic, but much less so than how they were prior to that. To anyone else, it was a small, simple thing, but it was everything to him.

Astral was forever grateful to Peridot and Jinmay.

A/N: Dammit, I thought I posted this chapter here already XD but something cute with Astral and Peridot, because I need to do more dynamics between the siblings.
