Chiro stared at Kaminari with a smile on his face.
He couldn't help but notice the things that seemed so much like Sprx. The way she laughed, her soft fur, how it had more of a pink hue under a certain light rather than brown, some of her humor, not to mention the white in her irises that just reminded Chiro of Sprx's eyes. It would be easy to tell she was his child, even if it was mainly the monkey side of her DNA.
Sprx said, "she looks just like ya," but Chiro mainly saw Sprx in her. He understood where he was coming from, with her hair being just like his but much longer and she had a similar face to himself at her age.
That was about it though, she mainly looked like him in Chiro's eyes.
Kami looked at him and smiled widely. Even her toothy smile was like Sprx's.
Chiro chuckled; she tilted her head.
"What's so funny?"
"Oh, nothing, Plasma Lamp." He ruffled her hair. "You're adorable, that's all."
Kami suddenly hugged him. She did it with such force that Chiro let it an 'oomph'. Her tail wagged so much there were afterimages.
Chiro wondered just how much more like Sprx Kaminari would look when she got older.
Sprx laid Kami in her bed.
Her tail curled inward as she peacefully slept. He smiled at the sight of her. Sprx grabbed the blanket and draped it over her. A little smile formed on her face.
Sprx's heart melted.
Kaminari looked so much like Chiro while she slept with that blissful look on her face from good dreams. She looked so much like him in general that it was unbelievable. She was so much like him.
He didn't know how Chiro didn't see a lot of himself in her. She had his hair, his blue eyes, and his crooked smile. She was adventurous and kind hearted like he was. Kami had Sprx's charm and his sense of humor, but she was brave in the same way Chiro was. Hell, she was strong like him too, even if she wasn't entirely there just yet.
Sprx wouldn't be surprised if she ended up being as cocky as him in her teens.
He kissed her forehead before he stood up. He started walking away, but Kaminari grabbed his hand in her sleep.
"Papa…" She quietly and sleepily spoke.
Sprx smiled wider. "Love ya too, little spark."
He gently slipped his hand out of hers. He quickly put a stuffed toy in her arms. She held onto it tightly. The end of her tail wagged and tapped the bed.
It made Sprx quietly laugh as he left the room.
Even if Kami wasn't so much like Chiro, as much as he loved it, Sprx would still love her all the same.
