Hey guys, I'm back with chapter 2. I'm really excited to continue the story of Sophia Jade and Ruby. Because I want to explore the depths of toxic friendship and real friendship, got more chapters already planned and on the way this chapter let's go focus on how she's processing her emotions after her betrayal, especially how she's gonna keep away from her family and friends, it's a process that she needs to go to her self before she gets to the healing phase, so I hope you enjoy the second chapter and the following chapters they'll be coming as I am plan to do more Sofia the First projects along with other fandoms that I will be writing. I hope you enjoy this chapter!
Sofia came from her room to meet her family for dinner, she was determined to keep her friendship breakup with Jade and Ruby to herself. Amber was there to ensure that the secret of didn't come out, as started eating dinner with the family they had to make it through the usual exchange of family conversations.
"Sofia, how was your day?" Miranda asked.
Sofia needed to go along as if everything is normal. "It was fine."
"Did you have fun with Ruby and Jane?" Miranda asked.
Sofia didn't want to lie to her mom, but she didn't wanna make things worse than it already is. "Oh yeah, we have lots of fun. We played hide and seek, tag, play pretend, all that kind of stuff."
Roland was happy to hear that answer knowing that Sofia is her happy self as usual or at least it seems that way. "Well, it's always good to see you happy, and playing with your friends."
Sofia nervously chuckled at what her Dad said, knowing that wasn't the case anymore. "Yeah sure I am."
"Well, I hope you're looking forward to next weekend." said Miranda.
Sofia's mind went blank when she heard that, she forgot what was coming next weekend. "What?"
"Your buttercup camping trip to Fairy Rock remember?" Miranda reminded.
Sofia totally forgot about that they were supposed to go to the most mystical place in the woods, they were going to roast marshmallows, and tell ghost stories around the campfire but she also knew Jaden and Ruby. We're going to be there and after what happened today so she wasn't sure if she was up for it.
"Oh...yeah, I'm really excited for next weekend." said Sofia
Amber knew Jade and Ruby were gonna be there too and she's going to come along now that she's a buttercup too.
Amber tried to lighten the mood to make sure Roland and Miranda don't become suspicious. "I'm excited to go to Fairy Rock, the stars will be a better view of them up there."
"I'm happy to see that you getting used to going out a little more, Amber." said Roland.
"That's a first for her." James joked.
Amber didn't have the energy to make a sassy comeback for James for the sake of Sofia, so she kept it simple. "Very funny, James."
Sofia didn't want this conversation to keep going, so she finished her dinner soon as she can so she could go to her room.
"May I be excused." Sofia asked.
Miranda found it odd that Sofia would want to leave early for family dinner, but she could tell that he needed time to herself so she allowed It. "Of course you may."
As Amber watched Sofa walk quickly to her room, she knew she needed to check up on her after dinner.
...
After dinner, Sofia went up to her room, tired and exhausted from keeping her cool so that her family wouldn't figure out what happened with Jade and Ruby. It wasn't long until her animal friends came to check on Sofia.
"Hey kid, we heard what happened how are you holding up?" asked Clover.
As much as it hurts her to explain, her animal friends were the only friends she could talk to at this point. "Not good honestly. Jade and Ruby were my best friends. We've done everything together before I became a Princess. I miss them so much, and I hate myself for even feeling that! I never thought they would hurt me and talk about me behind my back, on top of that. I have to keep this away from my family and friends. Except for Amber, it's hard to even do that when I'm just a mess!"
Clover was upset for Sofia. "This is worse than Stew and Cheeks. I'm sorry Sof, I figured they weren't good company to be with."
"At least you have us." said Robin.
"Birds are always loyal to each other." said Mia.
"Thanks guys I just hope I can control myself with school tomorrow." said Sofia.
Clover gave Sofia some comfort. "You'll be fine kid you're stronger than I know. Just get some rest, you'll probably forget all about it tomorrow morning."
"I hope so, see you guys" said Sofia.
As soon as Sophia's animal friends left, Amber came in her room to check on her sister.
"Sofia, how you doing?" Amber asked.
Sofia became honest with Amber. "It was hard to get through dinner but I managed to handle it pretty well."
Amber was frustrated, she hated seeing her sister like and it all because of her so-called friends. "I don't know how I'm gonna deal with Jade and Ruby next weekend. If they try anything I swear I'll..."
Sofia tried to calm Amber down. "It'll be OK Amber, let's just make sure we get through the rest of the week, then we'll focus on the camping trip."
Amber took a moment to regain her composure. "Okay, Just remember that I'm there with you, if there's a problem or anything wrong just make sure you come to me."
"Okay, Amber, I will." Sophia embraced Amber with a hug. It felt good to have someone watch her back.
"Good night Amber"
"Good night Sophia"
As Sofia went to bed she feared what's ahead tomorrow at school. She had to face all her fellow students while dealing with her mental state due to her recent encounter with Ruby and Jade she let anyone know what happened, not yet. She needed to keep it all together tomorrow, she has to.
