Hey everyone, this is it! the chapter where Sofia, Ruby, and Jade come together and express their issues towards each other. This is going to be important because this is a prime example of what their friendship was really like in the series, so there's going to be some questions at the end of this chapter to determine if their friendship is really true or genuine. I hope you like this one, enjoy!

It was after school and the parent meeting at the castle is taking place to discuss what went down between Sofia, Jade, and Ruby and to settle the rift they have between three of them. Sofia was afraid that they will do anything to make it feel worse, but she had to go through it. In my way no matter what it cost her.

Jade and Ruby came to the throne room along with their parents as they came to face the king and the royal family.

"Thank you, both for meeting with us today." said Roland

Jade's father made an opening statement before the King."Your majesty we heard about what happened between the princess and her children and I assure you we tend to set things straight. Our daughter knows better than to have such a bad attitude, even towards her friends, especially if they are royalty."

"We both came here to make sure that this never happens again." said Ms Hanshaw.

"I'm glad that we all agree." said Roland. "So let us proceed."

Roland turned his eyes towards the girls with a stern look.

"Now girls, you both know that this is very serious. I know you do you used to be friends when We're just villagers, but you have to understand that Sofia is a princess. That means she has high expectations for for herself, and she deserves the most respect as well as the rest of her family members, now I intend to put all of this behind us to make peace with my subjects, including your parents. Because I know they look up to me whenever I do what's best for this kingdom and that includes how we raise our children. So today, I want us all to know what the issue is between all three of you, and we will decide where to move on from here."

Jade's mother spoke up. "We would like our daughter to speak first thing since she is the one who started it this mess."

"Very well" said King Roland

"Jade do you have anything to say" ask Miranda

Jade was in enough trouble as she is, there's nothing for her to do but to be honest.

"Sofia, we were best friends before you became a princess we always just played together. You are always the kindest friend we ever had, and when you became a princess, we were happy for you. I only hoped nothing would change between us. But ever since we've been invited to your slumber party, we noticed something different about you. It's not just the dresses or the tiaras, but how you're acting with us. You push us away at the slumber party, the anthem, and the game, we don't know who you are anymore. Every time you promise us something, you always go the other direction, it's like one moment you become a friend we can depend on, and the next you switch on us, sometimes we wonder if you want to be friends with us at all. I didn't mean for you to hear what I said in the park, but that's just how I feel. I just wish our friendship can be like it used to be in the village.

As Sofia heard Jade's side, She understood where she was coming from, but they hurt her so much she didn't feel like herself anymore, it was no excuse for Jade to treat her this way, she didn't wanna feel like that way ever again so she became brutally honest with Jade.

"Jade, I have an always been your friend for the longest time, I've always said that I would be there for you because you were my friends. But you have to understand that this is my life now, I'm trying to get used to being princess, living a life of royalty is new to me. All I expected from you is to be understanding and be happy for me. But you can't even do that, you couldn't even respect me and other princesses at the slumber party when you just kept embarrassing yourselves and me!You didn't want to be happy for me when I got to sing the Enchancian Anthem, and when I decided to play for my family on the dazzleball team, I was hoping that my friends from the village would understand and accept that. But I'm the one who always ends up apologizing to you in the end, because I'm the one who gets blamed for you being mad at me and I've never done anything wrong! And you've never once apologized to me! You say that you're my best friends, but you never act like it. When I invited you to to ride with me and Amber in the Flylight Pageant, we were supposed to do have fun together, but the whole time we were preparing for the pageant, you and Ruby were too busy having fun with Amber, and leaving me out. You kept playing pretend with Amber without me, You changed your favorite colors for her. And worse of all, you taught Amber our secret hand clap, that was meant to be just for us! I felt really betrayed and hurt, and what you said at the park really hurt me, because I found out that my best friends who have been with me since we met at Dunwiddie, were just pretending to be my friends. I'm sorry Jade, I just can't live like this anymore!"

It was Ruby's turn to share her side of the story. "First off I want you to know that Jade and I aren't friends anymore, I know I've always been with her for the longest. Sometimes I agree with her on certain things like you pushing us aside and it really hurts. But I am really understanding and quick to forgive because I know you're isn't a bad person, Sofia. You're kind, loving, loyal, and a good friend, either as a villager or a princess. I just have trouble knowing what's right and wrong, even with the people I hang out with. You're right Sofia, we haven't been very good friends. We hurt you, and you deserve much better than that."

All the families appreciate the stories. "Well now that we got our testimonies of the way, I believe it's time to determine where this ends. I propose that these three take a break for a while, so Sofia can get better and be herself again.

"And to be sure of that, I will hold hold off all buttercup meetings and trips till further notice." said Ms Hanshaw

"That's a good idea Helen" said Miranda.

"I assure you your majesty, there will be consequences for our daughter's actions." said Jade's father.

"I intend to do the same with mine." said Ms Hanshaw.

King Roland agreed with everything that's been said here today and decided to bring this parent meeting to a close.

"Well, now that we've all decide what's best for our children has been settled. I think it's better that we all moved on and be sure that this never happens again."

"Of course your majesty" said Jade's Father

Jade's parents were ready to take her home preparing the consequences that's coming ahead her.

"Let's go home Jade." said Jade's mother

"You're in big trouble, young lady"

as they all watched them leave the throne room. Ruby's mom allowed her to say her final peace before leaving.

"Ruby do you have anything to say to Sofia and the royal family before we leave?"

Ruby shook head yes. "I'm sorry for what we did to you, Sofia You didn't deserve that."

Sofia couldn't accept the apology from her Ruby is much to blame as Jade is. "You're no better than Jade, Ruby."

"I've never said anything mean to you" said Ruby.

"You didn't say anything at all, you just stood there, and did nothing." Sofia's voice sounded like she was about to cry.

"I... I... I didn't know what to do." Ruby's voice started to crack as tears welled up in her eyes. "All I wanted is for our three birdies to stay together."

Sofia's tears started to drop as she turned her back on Ruby, she didn't even want to look at her right now.

Ruby could hear the soft sobs coming from Sofia's voice.

Amber had to step in to comfort her sister through the sobs.

"I think you should leave." Amber told Ruby.

Ruby accepted that and she went home with her mom. She was sad that her friendship with Sofia was over.

As they went down to the stairs leaving the castle, and to their wagon, she turned to her mom for counsel.

"Oh mom, this is all my fault! I should've done some thing!" Ruby cried.

Ms Hanshaw embraced her daughter because she needed it for the moment. "I know sweetie you should have, but what's done is done and you have to learn to accept it. Maybe when you find some new friends, you learn to be more kind and stand up for others next time."

Ruby wasn't in the mood to new friends anytime soon, but if she ever did, she would be a better person.

"I promise, Mom." said Ruby.

In a heartwrenching conclusion, a meeting of what would have been a sign of reconciliation, was now a devastating end of the three little birdies.

I know it looks like a sad ending. But the story is not over yet there is more to the story in the upcoming chapter, so stay tuned.
