At the Break Room, Jay was looking at a video showing Marucho's match as he and Preyas were about to finish it.
Preyas looked like a Humanoid Chameleon-like Bakugan. Having a purple body and blue scales on his arms, legs, shoulders, and one on his stomach. On the sides of his arms are fins and acting like hair were light blue fins. The top of his head is glossy black with red eyes.
Marucho: Ability Card, activate! Blue Stealth!
Preyas suddenly turned invisible as he faced Subterra Warrius, who had no idea where he was.
Preyas: Can't see me, big guy? Well too bad!
Preyas became visible again as unleashed a flurry of punches, defeating him as he returned to ball form.
Commentator: And the winner is Marucho Marukura!
Jay turned off the video after seeing Marucho's whole match.
Jay: Marucho will be tricky since he uses water attribute Bakugan, the Aquos.
Leonidas: I'll boil their ocean with them in it.
Jay gave a weak smile at Leonidas' grim response.
Jay: Somehow I know you can do that. Let 's go!
Jay picked up Leonidas as they headed out to the field.
Episode 5: Leonidas vs Preyas
-Battlefield, BBT Stadium, Wardington, Earth-
Commentator: Welcome to the final round of the Neo Challengers Tournament! Coming to our side is the Pyrus Brawler with the ferocious Dragon, Jay Brand!
Jay entered the field with Leonidas on his shoulder.
Commentator: And his opponent is none other than the one who made this tournament possible, Marucho Marukura!
The Aquos Battle Brawler stood on the other side with Preyas on his shoulder. Said Bakugan was looking nervously at Leonidas, who was glaring at him.
Leonidas: Grrrr…
Preyas quickly hid behind Marucho's back.
Preyas: Aah! He 's looking at me!
Marucho grabbed his partner as he tried to reassure him.
Marucho: Don't worry, Preyas. I have the perfect strategy to deal with Leonidas.
Preyas: Okay… I trust you, pal.
Jay then grabbed his Gate card, and so did Marucho.
Jay: Let's do this, Leonidas!
Marucho/Jay: Field, open!
The field was engulfed in light as they and the audience were transported to the Battle Dimension.
-Battle Dimension-
Jay, Marucho, and the audience were in the white dimension as they were ready to brawl.
Marucho/Jay: Gate card, set!
They both threw their Gate cards on the field as they enlarged. While Jay is red, Marucho's is blue.
Marucho: I'll go first! Bakugan, brawl!
Maruchu threw his Aquos Bakugan on Jay's Gate card.
Marucho: Bakugan, stand! Aquos Limulus!
Appearing on the field was a blue Trilobite with a round shell, sharp spikes, and a sharp pointed tail.
Aquos Limulus(350Gs)
Marucho then quickly activated a normal Ability card.
Marucho: Ability card, activate! Holograp Divide!
Limulus then started to glow blue as a blue wave spread on the field.
Jay: I don't know what kind of ability is, but I'm ready for it! Bakugan, Brawl!
Jay then threw his Bakugan at where Limulus is.
Jay: Bakugan, Stand! Fly, Falconeer!
Flying above in the air was the humanoid Falcon Bakugan.
Pyrus Falconeer(340Gs)
Jay: Gate card, open! Character!
The Gate card is revealed to be a Pyrus card as flames engulfed Falconeer, increasing his power.
Pyrus Falconeer(340+80=420Gs)
Marucho: I knew you would use that.
Jay: Huh?
Aquos Limulus(350+80=430Gs)
Jay was surprised to see that Limulus' power also increased.
Jay: What?!
Marucho: Holograph Divide allows Limulus to absorb the power used against him!
Right when Falconeer swooped down for the attack, Limulus jumped and stabbed Falconeer with his small claws, defeating him as he returned to ball form while Limulus returned to Marucho.

Jay picked his Bakugan back as he looked at Marucho.
Jay: Unlike Runo, Marucho plans his attacks carefully.
Leonidas: No matter what they do, they are still no match for me!
Jay: For you I know, but it's not the same with my other Bakugan, and I think I know how to throw him off. Gate card, set!
He threw in another Gate card as he grabbed his next Bakugan.
Jay: Bakugan, brawl!
This time he threw it on Marucho's Gate card.
Jay: Bakugan, stand! Pyrus Hynoid!
Standing on the field was a Wolf-like Bakugan who then stood on his two legs.

Marucho: Alright, let 's do this! Bakugan, Brawl!
He threw his Bakugan at Hynoid's feet
Marucho: Bakugan, stand! Aquos Stinglash!
Rising on the field was the Scorpion Bakugan with a hideous face.

Marucho: Gate card, open! Triple Battle!
The Command Card glowed as Marucho took out another Bakugan and threw it on the field.
Marucho: Your turn, Preyas! Bakugan, Brawl! Bakugan, stand!
The red and white curtains moved aside to reveal Preyas with his back turned, and he was holding a red and white parasol before turning to greet his opponent.
Preyas: Hello there~, Preyas is here!
Aquos Preyas/Stinglash(300+360=660Gs)
Jay already brought up an Ability card.
Jay: Ability card, activate! Burning Whirlwind!
Hynoid began running around the two Aquos Bakugan, leaving a trail of fire that soon rose the faster Hynoid runs, engulfing the two Bakugan in a tornado of fire.
Preyas: AAAH! I'm being roasted here!
Aquos Preyas/Stinglash(660-80-80=500Gs)
Pyrus Hynoid(360+80+80=520Gs)
Jay: Go, Hynoid!
Hynoid jumped out of the fair and straight at the Bakugan… mainly Preyas, who dodged Hynoid as he went back inside the fire tornado, but then continued to come out and tried to attack a panicked Preyas who continued to dodge him.
Preyas: MARUCHO!
Marucho: On it! Ability card, activate! Blue Stealth!
Preyas started to laugh at this.
Preyas: Now you see me, and now you don't!
Preyas suddenly turned invisible, and the power level between him and hynoid changed.
Aquos Preyas/Stinglash(500+50=550Gs)
Pyrus Hynoid(520-50=470Gs)
Jay: Oh no!
Hynoid jumps to attack Stinglash, only to be kicked by an invisible force which reveals to be Preyas. Hynoid was defeated as Preyas and Stinglash went back to Marucho.

Jay picked both his Bakugan as Leonidas spoke.
Leonidas: What happened to all the advantages you had during the previous battles?! Don't tell me that you're losing it?!
Jay only smiled at that.
Jay: Don't worry, Leonidas. Fortunately I have a plan on how to deal with him, and you're the key to do it!
Jay grabbed Leonidas and threw him.
Jay: Bakugan, brawl! Leonidas, stand!
Jay threw Leonidas on one of his Gate cards as he changed into his true form.
Leonidas: RRRRROOOOOAAAAAAAARRR!
Pyrus Leonidas(450Gs)
Marucho was surprised as he saw Leonidas' power level.
Marucho: Whoa! His attack power is higher than Masquerade's Hydranoid!
Preyas: What are we gonna do, Marucho?!
Marucho: We have to prevent him from using his power. Gate card, set!
Marucho threw in another Gate card on the field.
Marucho: Bakugan, brawl! Limulus, stand!
The blue Trilobite appeared back on the field.
Aquos Limulus(350Gs)
Marucho: (If I use Limulus Water Refrain ability, I can prevent Leonidas from using any of his Abilities.)
But just before Marucho would activate an Ability card, Jay beat him to it.
Jay: Ability card, activate! Raging Dragon!
Leonidas: (Roar)...!
Leonidas glowed red as his power grew.
Pyrus Leonidas(450+50=500Gs)
Jay: Now Leonidas can attack any opponent on the field!
Marucho: Oh no!
Leonidas unleashed a stream of fire straight at Limulus, engulfing him in flames as he glowed blue and returned to Marucho, defeated.

Leonidas returned to Jay as he caught him.
Jay: And we're not done yet!
Marucho was surprised that Leonidas has an ability that allows him to attack any Bakugan out on the field.
Marucho: I didn't know he had such an ability! Guess there's still a lot more to learn from him.
Marucho then threw in another Gate card.
Marucho: Gate card, set! Bakugan, Brawl! Preyas, stand!
Preyas appeared once more on the field… to his shock.
Aquos Preyas(340Gs)
Preyas: Wait, Marucho! Do you have a plan?!
Jay grabbed Leonidas and threw him again.
Jay: Bakugan, brawl! Rise again, Leonidas!
Leonidas let out a roar as he was back on the field.
Pyrus Leonidas(450Gs)
Preyas stepped back in fear once Leonidas glared at him before attacking.
Preyas: Hey there… big guy? Please don't fry my face.
Leonidas: (Roar)...!
Leonidas raised a claw to strike him down. Preyas tumbled in fear.
Preyas: MARUCHO!
Marucho: Gate card, open! Intercept!
The Command Card activated and raised beams of energy that acted as prison bars that prevented Leonidas' claws from reaching Preyas' face, to his relief.
Preyas: Whew!
Marucho: Thanks to this Gate card, the battle will be resumed if I throw in another Bakugan to this card.
Leonidas slashed at the energy bars to destroy them to no avail.
Leonidas: (Angry roar)...!
Marucho: Bakugan, brawl! Bakugan, stand! Aquos Stinglash!
Stinglash is back on the field as he stood together with Preyas.
Aquos Preyas/Stinglash(340+360=700Gs)
The bars disappeared as the battle resumed.
Marucho: Now, Preyas! Change your Attribute!
Preyas' stomach suddenly started to glow orange.
Preyas: Attribute Change! Subterra!
Preyas' body color has now changed to an orange and brown color.
Jay: He can change his Attribute?!
Marucho: Now, Ability card activate! Diagonal relationship between Aquos and Subterra!
Stinglash was covered in a blue aura while Preyas was covered in an orange one as he felt power coursing to his muscles.
Preyas: Oh yeah, baby!
Subterra Preyas/Aquos Stinglash(700+100+100=900Gs)
Jay: That's not good!
Preyas: Here I come!
Preyas was riding on Stinglash as he charged in before jumping.
Preyas: AAAAAH!
Preyas delivered a jump kick at Leonidas' face which nearly made him fall to the ground despite being pushed back. Preyas landed before going on the attack again.
Jay: Ability card, activate! Dragon's Roar!
Leonidas' eyes glowed red before letting out a loud roar.
Leonidas: RROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARR!
This sent Preyas flying when he got close but he landed easily on his feet.
Preyas: Whoa big guy! You need a breath mint! HAAAA!
Preyas charged in again, but failed to realise that his orange aura was gone. He jumped and punched Leonidas on the face, before unleashing a flurry of punches on his midsection. But then he stopped once he realised that his attacks weren't moving the Dragon even an inch. He look up and saw Leonidas giving a dark glare that send terror in his spine.
Preyas: Ehh…
Marucho: What's going on?!
Marucho looked at his Bakupod and was shocked at what he saw.
Subterra Preyas/Aquos Stinglash(900-100-100=700-80-80=540Gs)
Pyrus Leonidas(450+80+80=610Gs)
Jay: Dragon's Roar can also negate standard ability cards as well.
Marucho: Oh no!
Marucho knew he was in trouble as Leonidas wasted no time in punching Preyas in the face which sent him flying and crashed into Stinglash, sending the blue Scorpion on his back.
Marucho: Oh no, Preyas!
Preyas: Uhh…
Preyas has swirls in his eyes, a hanging tongue, and a swollen cheek as he and Stinglash were defeated and returned back to ball form.

Marucho dropped on his knees as his Bakugan rolled to him.
Commentator: and the winner is… Jay Brand!
The audience cheered at his victory, and so did Dan as he watched Jay's match.
Jay waved at the crowd before looking at Leonidas.
Jay: You really are a strong and awesome Bakugan, you know that, Leo?
Leonidas was surprised at the compliment.
Leonidas: Huh? Of course I am! Wait… what did you just call me?
Jay: Leo. You know? Short for Leonidas? Don't you like it?
Leonidas thought for a short moment.
Leonidas: As long as it's not a silly name, I'll go with it.
Jay smiled at Leonidas accepting his new nickname.
At the other side of the stands, Runo watched from the stands with her arms crossed, and she wasn't too happy about the outcome as well as being suspicious as she looked at Leonidas before leaving.
-Hallways, BBT Stadium, Wardinton, Earth-
Jay reunited with Dan as the two were walking together through the hallways. A lot of people went back home after the first part of the tournament ended.
Dan: You did it! I can't believe you just won that tourney!
Jay: Heh! Leonidas did all the work.
He looked at Leonidas' closed ball form who he was holding in the palm of his hand.
Dan: You're one tough cookie, huh Leonidas?
Leonidas: Hmph!
The grumpy Bakugan turned his back to Dan with a hump.
Dan: Still not much of a talker are you?
Jay: He's new here, so he's not used to Humans yet.
Dan: Who is?
Marucho: I take it that Leonidas didn't come to Earth with the other Bakugan through Doctor Micheal's portal.
Dan and Jay stopped suddenly at Marucho's unexpected appearance around the corner.
Marucho: Based on my analysis of his battling abilities and his attitude in combat, I conclude he arrived on Earth at a different time than the others. I wonder what delayed his appearance here on Earth.
Jay looked at Leonidas. His friends also questioned why Leonidas appeared so suddenly but he didn't put much thought into it.
Marucho: Perhaps he's secretly planning something beyond just Bakugan battles.
Jay doesn't like where Maruco is getting at.
Jay: Hey, what makes you say that?!
Dan: Yeah, relax Marucho. You have an overactive imagination.
Runo: I'm with Marucho.
Jay and Dan then saw Runo coming towards them.
Runo: Tigrerra said there's something weird about how aggressive he is. Maybe you should find a different partner.
Jay: Tigrerra is just jealous! Leo is my friend.
Runo and Marucho looked at each other, wondering what to say back at that, but Marucho just shrugged.
Marucho: I understand how you feel, but I really think you oughta listen to Runo.
Runo: I gotta help out at my parents Restaurant. I gotta go! Just think about it, okay?
With that, both Runo and Marucho left the scene. Jay looked at Leonidas with both hands, a little upset that Runo and Marucho started to get distrustful of Leonidas.
Dan: Don't let them get to you! Just start thinking about your next battle! The Tag Team Tournament is coming up!
That perked Jay up.
Jay: A Tag Team Tournament?
Dan: Two players battling together. When you win, Runo and Marucho will come around. What do you think?
Jay liked how it sounded.
Jay: Sweet!
Dan: So you're in? Let's go practice at the Park tomorrow.
As Dan left Jay looked at Leonidas.
Jay: I'll make sure that there's nothing to worry about you Leonidas.
Leonidas didn't say anything as he remained silent.

Jay: In the next Bakugan Battle Brawlers L. Dan and I were looking for someone to help with our Tag Team training, but then Aya told us that Sam got lost in the City after arriving. And it seems that 2 certain brothers want a rematch with Jay. Let's hope we find Sam in time before he gets more lost.
The scene with Leonidas and Preyas is something that I took from the new Dragon Ball movie, Dragon Super Superhero. Gamma 2 was unleashing a flurry of punches on Orange Piccolo torso, only to realise it didn't have any effect before looking at the intimidating Namekian, who delivered a crushing punch at the Android's face.
