"Crystal, Crystal." Crystal heard a squeaky, younger sounding voice say, waking her up from her dream.
It'd been five years since the night Deadly had found and adopted her but now, Chryalis Argent Pimperton or Crystal to everybody including her dad and uncle had grown from an infant into an now five year old goblin girl who was very sweet and smart yet kind but today was her fifth birthday knowing her dad would make a big deal out of it like every year but giggled feelingvCasey's paw playing with her rose-quartz pendant as she laid beside her in pyjamas making Crystal giggle. She'd foubd Caseyva few months ago in the firest as a scrawny, hungry baby raccoon who was being picked on by the Fire Gang which she hated seeing so had used her long-cane and magic to scare the Fire Gang off deciding to take the raccoon infant with her as she sensed it needed help and love, to grow like her dad with her
At first after Deadly foubd Crystal had brought a baby raccoon home, he was stunned only after Crystal explained how she'd found Casey and because Crystal needed a friend, he let her stay knowing the Labyrinth's magic would make it sentient and to Crystal after magic had made her sentient, she and Casey saw each other as sisters which everybody thought sweet especially seeing the two of them together aroubd the castle or in the gardens playing or Casey climbing trees sometimes spooking animals that lived in them and right now, they were just lying on Crystal's bed but Crystal was telling her about the dream she'd had as the door opened expecting to see Deadly but instead itvwas Dudley making them exchange a confused look.
"Sonebody said the right words and wished somebody here but while yohr dad's having fun, we can have breakfast and maybe there's a surprise in the dining-room." Dudley told them as Crystal got dressed in her red hooded top and black trousers not needing shoes helping Casey get dressed in her black hooded top and khaki-green trousers which were clean after an epic mud battle the other day which still made Crystal giggle at her dad's reaction to that even though they'd had to take a long soapy bath.
"Crystal, go now." Casey asked making her smile. "Uh-huh let's go eat, and see what uncle Dudley's up to. We can play shiny dress up later, okay." Crystal replied asthey left the room but Casey slid down the staircase banister as normal seeing her land giggling on a mattress on her butt coming down stairs instead of the banister helping the toddler-kit up then scampering behind her on all fours as she was still learning to walk on two surprised seeing a blue haired and skinned girl in a hooded top with black trousers eating chocolate chip pancakes making Crystal's eyes widen behind her glasses.
"Dudley got me a friend for my birthday, but how." she mumbled seeing Dudley smirk at her reaction.
"Yes, as her father, the king of frost-giants wished her away. Crystal honey you alright." Dudley said.
"S-She's from my dream I had last night which is intresting but good. Sorry about that, I'm Crystal and that's Casey my sis, what's yohr name." she said.
"Mikayla but everybody calls me Kaley and I'm a frost-giantess, I'm not a typical one who wants to freeze your castle or the Labyrinth and just want a friend." Kaley said as Crystal got this but as they talked over breakfast, they had much in common making Deadly and Dudley smile seeing Crystal this happy hearing Dudley say Crystal was going to miss Kaley once her dad beat the Labyrinth seeing Deadly smirk. "Ohhh the king of frost-giants failed so you know what that means, we get a new family member and Crystal gets her first pal." Deadly told him.
Crystal's eyes widened at this along with Kaley as they were heading to the throne room making Casey giggle as Crystal put her tiara on her furry head letting her sit on her throne knowibg her dad had to focus as magic unleashed, swirling around the frost-giantess feeling lil furry horns growing along with a furry tail plus her eyes turned purple but Crystal was in awe as her new pal was now a frost-goblin and her and Casey's new sis showing her reflection in a Crystal orb majibg Kaley in awe.
"Welcone to the family, and Casey and I can show you around." Crystal told her seeing her grin.
"I'd love that, let's go." Kaley said as Deadly and Dudley watched them go besides Deadly had Crystal's party to plan making Dudley sigh. He knew his brother loved Crystal but she wanted a small party and not a crazy one like in the past, explaining to him making Deadly unsure.
"Okay, ready or not here I come, you better have foubd good hiding places." Crystal called out.
While her dad was working on her party, Crystal, Casey and Kaley were in the castle gardens playing because it would ease her nerves aboht whatever her dad was planning hoping Dudley might have explained to him, she wanted a small party, just them, Dudley, Casey and Kaley now not the entire kingdom deciding to just focus on the fun she was having with her sisters going to seek hearing giggling noticing frozen roses being in awe, knowing the royal gardener might freak finding Kaley only Crystal knew Casey would be harder to find impressing Kaley.
"Uh-huh it's her favourite game… because of how we met. I rescued her from the Fire Gang while in the forest and she was very scrawny and afraid so I took her home giving her love so now she's part of our family and getting bigger in body and mind everyday despite learning to talk." Crystal explained which Kaley found sweet hearing munching sounds from a tree deep in the gardens realising Casey had climbed into a tree hoping there were no bird nests or squirrels living in it in case Casey spooked them stunning her seeing her waving, from inside a teee fort.
"It must be dad and uncle Deadly's from when they were our age. We should climb up and see." Crystal said.
"Yeah, adventure." Casey said seeing Crystal fly up into the tree fort hugging Casey.
"You furry lil genius, you found quote the hiding place, as daddy told us about this." Crystal told her.
She heard servants calling them as they were climbing down, well Casey was using her instincts while Crystal flew down impressing Kaley guessing it was to do with Crystal's birthday hearing it was about the party making Crystal sigh.
"Big party right. Crystal not like." Casey told Kaley making her get it. "Crystal doesn't like big parties huh, but does our dad know this." Kaley asked seeing Casey shake her furry head.
"My dad did it again Casey, he threw a ball or is throwing it tonight." Crystal said feeling Kaley hug her as Casey held her magenta-furred hand in her lil paw. "Better." Casey asked seeing Crystal nod. She wondered if her dad and uncle would be okay if they could fix it up into a place for them seeing Dudley there asking her, if she knew what her dad was planning but she nodded. "We found your and dad's tree fort and we wanna turn it into a place for us, is that okay." Crystal asked him seeing him nod.
"Sure, it'll be happy to have kids playing in it again." Dudley said getting an idea, to have an afternoon tea style party like what Crystal wanted, not some fancy party making her impressed alomg with her friends.
