Chapter 6: Crazy Love

Maddie and David returned to the Blue Moon office after their honeymoon in Paris, relaxed and refreshed. The office had been closed for their annual vacation for the past couple of weeks so there was a lot of business to catch up on. They got off of the elevator together and walked towards the Blue Moon office. David was wearing his favorite gray suit and loafers and Maddie was wearing a white dress – unbelted – and her beige pumps.

Maddie: "David, I have got to go shopping for some maternity clothes. Everything is starting to get tight. I couldn't even get my belt around my waist this morning! Mom said there's a store in Chicago called Michelle's that has maternity clothes that don't look like maternity clothes. I need to find a shop like that here. I can't bring myself to wear those frumpy tents with the big white collars. I'm looking for more Meryl Streep and less Princess Di. I'll ask around."

David: "You're beautiful, baby. You buy whatever you like – but I'd have to agree with you about the big white collars." He leaned over and kissed her cheek and then they walked through the door at Blue Moon.

Agnes: "Mr. and Mrs. Addison! Welcome back!"

Maddie: "Agnes! It's so good to see you. I hope you enjoyed your vacation as well."

Agnes: "We did! After your wedding in Las Vegas, Bert and I took a road trip to see weird roadside attractions. We drove along The Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada, went to Carhenge in Nebraska, stayed at the Wigwam Motel in Arizona, visited the World's Largest Pistachio in New Mexico, saw the World's Largest Ball of Twine in Kansas, and visited the World's Longest Fork in Colorado. Oh, and the International Banana Museum right here in California – they had 20,000 banana themed items!"

David and Maddie looked at each other and rolled their eyes: "Great…"

The Wobblies were all gathered around their desks doing various kinds of non-work. Jergensen was showing off pictures from his beach vacation. MacGilicuddy was performing a new card trick he had learned from a magic class he took during the break. O'Neill was fiddling with a new Walkman he had bought. Jamie was looking through the latest clothing mail order catalogs. Richie was there too, ready to start his new job helping out at Blue Moon. He fit right in with the motley Wobblies crew. Viola was showing him the ropes and talking through the latest stakeout and photography techniques.

Maddie and David met with Richie and Viola to talk through all of their open cases and with Agnes to go through all of the voice messages they'd received on their answering machine during the vacation break. They decided to divide and conquer. Maddie worked in her office going through the books and payroll and David met with Richie and Viola to go over the caseload and discuss who would be handling the latest Anselmo stakeout.

Maddie had her next doctor's appointment with Dr. Weed at 4pm that day, and she and David left the office early to go together. The nurse called them back to the exam room and Maddie got on the exam table. The nurse put a fetal doppler device on Maddie's baby bump to listen to the baby's heartbeat. The thump-thump, thump-thump sound of the baby's heartbeat instantly filled the room. Maddie and David looked at each other and smiled, and David reached over and held Maddie's hand, then brought her hand to his lips and kissed it.

Dr. Weed came in to the exam room and shook Maddie's and David's hands. She took Maddie's vitals as well as some baby measurements. "Maddie, everything looks great! The baby is growing nicely and all of your stats and weight gain look perfect. Right now, the baby is about the size of a lemon. You're officially in your second trimester now, so hopefully the morning sickness and exhaustion of the first trimester is getting a little better."

Dr. Weed paused, then continued: "I do want to talk to you about a few recommended tests. Because of your age, we recommend amniocentesis. It's a procedure done around 16 weeks that involves extracting a small amount of amniotic fluid from the womb to check for fetal health conditions – things like genetic and chromosomal disorders, neural tube defects, and severe birth defects. The way it works is that I use an ultrasound to guide a long, thin, hollow needle through your stomach wall and into your uterus to extract a small amount of fluid that is then sent to our lab for testing. You'll need to rest for 24 to 48 hours after the procedure and then the results should be back within a week or so. Birth defects are rare, but you are at a higher risk because of your age, which is why we recommend the test – just for your own knowledge, more than anything, and so we can plan for what might be a higher risk delivery and a baby who might need extra help at birth. One of the other benefits of amnio is that we will definitively know the sex of the baby, if you want to find out. You two talk it over and see if this is something you want to do, and then we will get you scheduled. I'd recommend a Friday morning so you have the weekend to recuperate. One of the risks is a slightly elevated chance of miscarriage immediately after the procedure, but it is a very small risk, versus knowing definitively what's going on with your baby. If I were in your shoes, I'd do it. And then at 20 weeks, we'll do another ultrasound exam and take a lot of detailed measurements and photos of the baby, to make sure everything is as it should be, and at 24 weeks there will be a test for gestational diabetes."

Maddie and David left the appointment and walked hand in hand back to the BMW.

Maddie: "I don't think I've been faced with so many tests since college! That long needle is high on the ick factor to me, David. But I'd definitely want to know if something was wrong. Just so we could plan for it, you know? What do you think?"

David". "The risk of miscarriage is scary, Maddie. And would it change anything – I mean in terms of having the baby?"

Maddie: "No, and I get that David, I do, I just think I'd want to be prepared and know for sure, you know? I mean if something was wrong, I'd want him – or her – to start off with the best possible chances in life."

David: "I'm here for you, whatever you want to do, honey. You're going to be such a great mom, Goldilocks."

Maddie: "Would you want to find out the sex of the baby? Or would you rather it be a surprise?"

David: "Sure, I mean it's a surprise no matter when you find out, right? Whether it's when you're 16 weeks along or in the delivery room. Plus, then we'd know whether to buy blue clothes or pink clothes, and how to decorate the nursery. I don't know that I want the little bambino wearing a bunch of little yellow ducks."

Maddie: "Bambino, huh? You know it's entirely possible that it's a bambina. David, what would you rather have – a boy or a girl?"

David: "It doesn't matter to me, honey – I just want you and him – or her – to be healthy and happy."

Maddie called Dr. Weed's office on Monday to schedule her amniocentesis appointment for July 31, right at 16 weeks, on a Friday morning.

Maddie and David continued with the business of Blue Moon. They had a big breakthrough on the Anselmo case, thanks to some top-notch surveillance work by Richie, who turned out to be a great asset to Blue Moon. They solved several cases, including one involving a high profile politician having an affair with the wife of a famous actor and another involving a college admissions cheating scandal. Maddie's mom sent her some cute maternity clothes that didn't look like maternity clothes from Michelle's in Chicago and Maddie found a couple of chic maternity shops in Beverly Hills where she was able to revamp her wardrobe for her increasingly voluptuous figure.

Meanwhile, David went to Waldenbooks and picked up pregnancy books for them to read together – "What to Expect When You're Expecting", "The Complete Book of Pregnancy and Childbirth", and "The Official Lamaze Guide". He wanted the two of them to be prepared for anything coming their way, especially this upcoming test.

On the day of the amniocentesis appointment, Maddie was incredibly anxious and David did everything he could to keep her calm, including telling silly jokes that made Maddie laugh in spite of her nerves. Maddie and David took the day off of work and arrived right on time for Maddie's 10am appointment. The nurse called her back to the exam room where she undressed and changed into a gown, then laid back on the exam table. The nurse checked her blood pressure and heart rate, which all looked good. Dr. Weed came in wheeling a cart with medical equipment on it including a very long, hollow needle. She cleaned Maddie's belly with an antiseptic cleaner, and Dr. Weed and the nurse worked together to use an ultrasound to get pictures of the baby's position – and printed off a few photos for Maddie and David – the baby had really grown since the last time they had an ultrasound.

David stood beside Maddie and held her hand – but looking at that needle, he started feeling a little woozy. He sat down in the chair beside Maddie and kept holding her hand.

Dr. Weed instructed Maddie to stay very still during the procedure. "This won't take long, Maddie, and I know this long needle can look a little scary. You might feel a sharp, stinging sensation and a little pressure, and a little cramping but it should not be painful. You also might feel a slight tugging or pulling sensation but that is all normal." Dr. Weed inserted the long, thin needle through Maddie's abdominal wall and into the amniotic sac, then withdrew a small amount of amniotic fluid with a syringe. Dr. Weed and the nurse checked the baby's heartbeat with the ultrasound and everyone was relieved to hear the comforting thump-thump, thump-thump of the baby's heartbeat.

Dr. Weed: "That's it, Maddie. Everything went perfectly. I know this procedure is nerve wracking but you did great. Go home and rest. You don't have to stay in bed, but don't drive, work, exercise, or lift anything heavy today and tomorrow. Just take it easy. Let David take care of you for the next couple of days. Rent some videos or read a good book and just relax. I should have the results in next week and I'll call you as soon as I get them. You might experience some mild cramping and spotting and that's normal but if you have anything more severe than that give me a call immediately. You may have some tenderness or bruising where the needle was inserted but that should go away in a couple of days. I'd also recommend upping your fluid intake for the next few days – that will help replenish the amniotic fluid that was removed and help lessen any cramping you might experience. Other than that, everything looks good – we took a few more pictures of the baby for you – he or she has grown a lot since the last time we did this. Oh, and one more thing, do you want to find out the sex?"

David: "Did someone say sex?" Maddie hit his arm but was thankful for the comic relief.

Dr. Weed: "Well speaking of, I'd avoid sex for the next 48 hours as well." David looked crushed and Maddie rolled her eyes at him. Dr. Weed laughed. "I wish all the dads who come in to my office were as funny as he is."

Maddie: "Yeah – he's a riot. Thanks, Dr. Weed. I'm so glad this test is over with. And we definitely want to find out the sex of the baby."

David: "Thanks for everything, Dr. Weed." He stood up and shook her hand, then helped Maddie get dressed and back to the car.

David took Maddie home and got her settled on the couch with the latest book she was reading, some pillows, a soft blanket, and a cup of peppermint tea and a large glass of water. He called Alex and Ginny to let them know everything went well and that Maddie was back home resting, and that they should have the test results the following week – and called his dad and Stephanie and told them the same thing. He put the sonogram pictures on the fridge with the others, then put his hands in his pockets and smiled, looking at the images of his and Maddie's baby. While Maddie read and napped, David went to Blockbuster and rented movies that he thought Maddie would enjoy – "Out of Africa", "Hannah and Her Sisters", and "Children of a Lesser God". He also went by the grocery store to pick up all of Maddie's favorite foods. She had started having all kinds of unusual food cravings and he was happy to oblige her – lemonade, sour gummy bears, cookies and cream ice cream, chips and salsa. He made a healthy dinner for them, making sure she had all of her meats, grains, fruits, milks, and vegetables and sat with her on the couch, watching television with her while she leaned against his shoulder. He felt warm and very much at home.

Maddie: "I love you, David. Thanks for taking such good care of me. I never thought we'd have such peace and comfort together."

David: "Peace and comfort, huh? You're making me sound like an old man, Maddie. You know I want to ravage you every second of every day! But I want to protect you too – and the bambino. I love you too, baby."

The next Wednesday afternoon, David was sitting at his desk and working on some case documentation when he heard a soft knock on his office door. He yelled: "Spit and slide under!" Maddie opened the door, and closed it behind her. She was shaking a little bit, with tears in her eyes.

David: "Baby, you're crying – what's wrong?" He jumped up from his chair and ran to her and held her in his arms. "Is everything okay?"

Maddie: "Oh David, it's more than okay. Dr. Weed just called. Everything is perfect. The baby is perfect!"

They both looked at each other with tears in their eyes. David swept Maddie up in his arms and spun her around the room. They laughed together and kissed.

Maddie: "And David – it's a boy. We're having a son. Are you happy?"

David beamed, smiling his biggest smirky grin: "Over the moon. I couldn't be happier, Maddie."

Maddie and David got on the phone together and called her mom and dad, who were absolutely thrilled with the news. They also called David Sr. and Stephanie who were equally excited – they promised to come out and visit soon. Then they called Richie into David's office and told him the news.

Richie: "Davey, Maddie – this is great news! Another Addison man! I can't wait to teach him everything I know."

Maddie looked at David and rolled her eyes, and David and Richie laughed.

That night, David took Maddie out to dinner to celebrate. They went out to their favorite steak and seafood restaurant and talked about the baby and what he was going to be like. They were both so happy. David ordered a steak, a baked potato, and a martini and Maddie had grilled sea bass, mixed vegetables, and a sparkling water.

Maddie: "We have to start thinking about names, David."

David: "What about David?"

Maddie: "The last thing the world needs is another David Addison."

David: "Well, maybe as a middle name? I mean I'm named after my dad and I'd like to keep the name going. What about Alexander, for your father?"

Maddie: "I love that. He would love that. What about Alexander David Addison? After both of his grandfathers and his dad? Alex Addison."

David made up a verse from Shirley Ellis' "The Name Game":

"Alex, Alex, Bo-balex

Bo-na-na fanna fo Falex

Fee fi mo Malex

Alex!"

David: "I love it, Blondie Blonde. Sounds like a football star. 'The crowd cheered at quarterback Alex Addison's 40 yard touchdown pass!'" Maddie laughed and touched the side of David's face with her hand. He grabbed her hand and kissed it gently. After dinner, they walked back to the BMW, hand in hand, and David drove them home.

Maddie went upstairs to take a bubble bath while David got the mail and turned off the lights. He went upstairs to their bedroom and looked in on Maddie – hair pulled up in a ponytail, long leg on the side of the tub, soaking in a sea of bubbles, breasts and baby bump sticking slightly out of the water over the bubbles. David took off his clothes and slipped into the tub with Maddie. He sat behind her and she leaned back against his chest and they relaxed in the warm water together for a while. He picked up a washcloth, got it wet, and slowly ran it over her shoulders and back, arms, chest, and belly, before reaching lower. He leaned in and peppered kisses along the back of her neck before moving his lips to her ear and whispered: "You have never been more beautiful to me, Madolyn. All of these extra curves. You're so unbelievably sexy. I want to make love to you."

Maddie and David got out of the tub and dried each other off. David put his arms around Maddie and kissed her slowly at first, then more passionately, opening his lips and touching his tongue to hers. He laid her down on their bed and kissed her neck, brushing his lips against the spot along her hairline that drove her crazy. He kissed down to her breasts and took each nipple in his mouth and sucked hard. Maddie moaned with pleasure – something about being pregnant made her feel pleasure even more than usual. He peppered angel kisses down her belly before going down on her, until she screamed his name in pleasure. He climbed on top of her to slip inside of her but realized her baby bump was getting a bit in the way – he laid behind her and entered her from behind. They moved together until they both climaxed, then fell asleep holding each other.

Maddie's next doctor's appointment was about three weeks later, at 20 weeks. Dr. Weed took her vitals and an ultrasound technician did a very detailed ultrasound of their baby boy, taking all kinds of measurements and making notes in Maddie's file. "Everything looks perfect, Maddie. The baby is measuring right on target and is about the size of a banana now. Do you want to know the sex of the baby? Because it's very obvious on the screen. Sometimes it's hard to tell but not with this little one."

Maddie: "I actually had amnio so we know already. But look at that – just like his father."

David, proudly: "That's my boy."

The ultrasound technician finished taking measurements and took a few photos for Maddie and David to keep. She also recorded the ultrasound session on a VHS tape for them to take home. Maddie couldn't wait to show the video to her mom and dad.

The next week, Maddie was sitting at her desk and going through the latest case files with David, who was perched on the edge of her desk. She felt an odd, fluttering sensation and then looked down and saw her stomach moving. It was the baby kicking.

Maddie: "Oh my goodness, David, quick, give me your hand." She put his hand on her stomach and the two of them could feel the baby moving inside of her. "I've never felt him moving before. Maybe a little fluttering feeling, like butterflies, but nothing like this." They looked at each other with tears in their eyes, and smiled.

David: "See, I told you! A football player! Wow, that's a strong kick for such a little guy."

Over the next month, Maddie and David continued their usual caseloads at Blue Moon. Maddie felt great in her second trimester – she had a lot of energy and all of the queasiness and tiredness of early pregnancy had subsided. David and Maddie stopped their evening stakeouts and left that work to Viola and Richie, who turned out to be great stakeout partners.

Alex and Virginia flew out for a long weekend visit and stayed with Maddie and David. Virginia cried when she saw the ultrasound video and the sonogram photos on the fridge. David and Alex took the sonogram photos to the camera store and had copies made for Alex and Virginia. David had also finally gotten the photos from their honeymoon in Paris developed and put them in a photo album which they showed to Alex and Virginia, who loved seeing the photos of the two of them so happy together - it reminded them of their own honeymoon in Paris. Maddie and David had also gotten their wedding pictures back from Vegas, and they all enjoyed looking through them and remembering what a fantastic weekend it was. Alex and Virginia took David and Maddie out shopping for nursery furniture and then for a nice Italian dinner at Il Cielo. Alex took David on a golf outing with one of his business partners who had moved to LA. David wasn't much of a golfer but he enjoyed being outside and spending time with Alex – David thought day drinking and driving a golf cart was pretty great.

Alex: "David, Ginny and I have been talking and we're thinking of buying a condo here in LA, maybe on a golf course. Divide our time between Chicago and here. I'm not too far from retirement, and we'd love to be closer to you and Maddie, especially once our grandson arrives."

David: "I think that would be fantastic, Alex. I know Maddie would love to have you both closer, and I would too. It'll give me a reason to improve my golf game too!" Alex laughed and patted David on the back. The two of them had really formed a strong friendship and they were very fond of each other.

At 24 weeks, Maddie took her gestational diabetes test and had to drink a can of nauseatingly sweet soda-like liquid, then have blood work to see how her body processed the sugar. She passed with flying colors but thought it was going to be a long time before she drank another soda. She also signed up for Lamaze classes, starting a few weeks later, on Tuesday evenings. She and David decided they'd make a date out of it – go to class, then have dinner afterwards.

Their Lamaze classes started at the beginning of Maddie's third trimester, around 28 weeks. The classes were held at the hospital where Maddie planned to give birth and the class was filled with other couples around the same point in their pregnancies. Their instructor was Nurse Angela Bridges, a kind woman who adored David – she could tell he was taking the class very seriously and she appreciated his sense of humor and general good nature – both great traits to get you through life, she thought, through good times and bad. David told Maddie that he was determined that they would be the teacher's pets.

Nurse Bridges: "Over the next 8 weeks, you moms will be learning how to facilitate your own body during childbirth. Now, I see some of you looking at me going huh, what does that mean? It's just a fancy way of saying that you can use your body's resources – your senses, your concentration, your breathing - to help make your delivery easier. And dads, you're not just along for the cruise. You're cruise director. That means helping her, coaching her, being there for her. Okay? Let's get started with some exercises. Everyone lie down – find the most comfortable position you can. Just pretend you're at home in bed together."

David: "Now we're talking." Nurse Bridges overhead him, and laughed.

Maddie: "David!"

Nurse Bridges: "Now, don't worry about how you look. Nobody is going to take any pictures. Okay, let's play a game. Dads, it's very important that you know mom's body, to be able to tell the difference between when she's tense and when she's relaxed. That's going to be crucial on delivery day. So, just for practice, I want all you moms to tense one spot on your body and coaches, move your hands over her muscles to find the tense spot. On your marks, get set, feel!"

David knew Maddie's body so well he could look at her instantly and tell exactly which spot was tense. "I don't even need to touch you to know what's tense – although I want to, badly. It's your left shoulder, isn't it?" Maddie nodded.

Nurse Bridges was impressed. "I don't think I've ever had a couple so in sync that they figured it out so quickly. Great job, Addisons!"

David whispered to Maddie: "What did I tell you, baby? Teacher's pets."

David kissed Maddie gently on the cheek, then whispered "Maybe I'd better check your other muscles out too, just for good measure. While we wait for the rest of the class to catch up." He winked at her, rubbed her feet and ankles, then ran his warm hands up and down her arms and legs.

Maddie smiled up at him: "Addison! Will you stop!" But Maddie had to admit she was having a lot of fun with David.

For the rest of their first class, they learned some basic breathing exercises and how to communicate with each other without speaking – something Maddie and David were already very adept at.

Maddie had pregnancy cravings for cheeseburgers – ironic, given their conversation when they danced in the laundromat several months ago. After Lamaze class each week, David and Maddie went to Tommy's Burgers, an LA staple since the 1940s, which was close to the hospital where their classes were held. Maddie's standard order was a loaded California Classic burger with an order of chili cheese fries and a 7 Up. It made David laugh, seeing this gorgeous woman eat like this, with bits of ketchup in the corner of her mouth and burger grease running down her hands. He'd never seen Maddie eat this kind of food before – in the past, it had always been salads and fish and vegetables. He thought it was funny and sexy at the same time. And goodness, he loved a good burger himself.

Over the next few weeks, they learned all about the stages of childbirth and more intense breathing exercises. In one class, they watched a video showing an actual childbirth. David felt a little woozy watching the video but he took lots of notes. Maddie was really impressed with how organized and into the whole process David was. It made her love him even more.

In another class, they watched a video about breastfeeding. David and all of the other dads sat there mesmerized, mouths agape, looking at the video.

David: "That woman has the biggest maracas I have ever seen. Wow. They are twice as big as the baby's head! I can't get my mind around it." He tilted his head to the side, and continued watching the video.

Maddie: "David!" She looked around and all of the other dads were similarly transfixed – and the other moms were equally annoyed and amused. Maddie exchanged glances with the other moms and they all started giggling.

Nurse Bridges kept guiding them through breathing techniques and focus points.

Nurse Bridges: "Now, this is the critical time. The contractions are coming almost back to back. Mom may very well be on the verge of losing control. It's crunch time, dad. You have to take over as soon as you see that fear on her face. She's depending on you. Make her get back on track, make her focus, and make her concentrate. Good. On the count of three we'll take a deep, cleansing breath. One, two, three. Let's call it a night. And remember, be sure to keep practicing the exercises. We're more than halfway through the classes now."

David and Maddie looked into each other's eyes and finished practicing their breathing – hee, hee, hoo, hee, hee, hoo. They were completely in sync with one another and Maddie knew she couldn't have a better birth partner and coach than David. He was going to be a fantastic dad.

Maddie: "More than halfway through? I'm excited, David, but a little scared too. What if something goes wrong? What if I'm a terrible mother?"

David: "Listen to me, Maddie - you're going to be amazing. I'll be right there with you, every step of the way. We're a great team. God, I love you – and I can't wait to meet our son. He's a lucky little guy to have you as his mother. You're so beautiful, and so smart, and you have so much love in your heart. You're going to be a fantastic mom."

Maddie: 'You're not so bad yourself, mister." She beamed at him.

Maddie and David started decorating Alex's nursery together. They painted it a light blue color and decorated it with paintings of classic cars. The crib and furniture were all white and there was a white glider rocker and ottoman with denim fabric and a little red car-shaped pillow – all gifts from Alex and Virginia. The wall behind the crib was wallpapered with a blue and white striped wallpaper and in the center of the wall, there was a large framed painting of a gold BMW, just like theirs, with the name Alex painted underneath the car in script. There was a mobile attached to the crib with little plush primary-color cars hanging on it that played "Brahms Lullaby". There were woven roman shades on the windows and a bookcase filled with children's books. Maddie and David also got a bassinet to keep in their room near their bed for when they first brought Alex home.

David watched Maddie moving around the house doing day to day things – practicing yoga in the sunroom wearing a maternity leotard, getting dressed in her fashionable maternity clothes, sitting on the couch reading a book, getting a snack out of the fridge, sitting on a lounge chair by the pool, wearing a bikini and sunglasses, open book perched on her pregnant belly, chatting with her mom or her friends on the telephone – and thought that he could not be more in love with this woman. Her changing body, with all of the new curves, were so beautiful and sexy to him, even more so thinking that she was carrying his son. He longed to protect her, and care for her - well, both of them.

Maddie and David went to her 30 week appointment with Dr. Weed. "Everything looks great, Maddie and David. The baby is measuring right on target, maybe a little bit larger than target, which is great news. The baby is about the size of a cabbage now. Your blood pressure and weight and blood work all look good. I'll start seeing you every 2 weeks for the next month, and then weekly after that. We'll start checking your cervix then for dilation and any signs of pending labor. It'll be here before you know it."

That evening, Maddie and David were sitting in their living room. She was reading a book and he was watching a football game on television.

David: "30 weeks now, baby. Can you believe it? Just a little over 2 months to go and our little dividend will be here!"

Maddie: "I can't believe it either, David. I couldn't be happier."

David: "You as so beautiful, honey. And so round! I am so turned on by you."

Maddie: "Oh please, David! I am huge! I probably weigh more than you do at this point!"

David: "No, really, you have never been more beautiful to me. I love you, honey."

David got up and pulled a record album off the shelf and put it on the turntable. The sounds of Van Morrison's "Crazy Love" filled the room.

I can hear her heartbeat from a thousand miles
And the heavens open every time she smiles
And when I come to her, that's where I belong
And I run into to her like a river song

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She got a fine sense of humor when I'm feeling low down
Yeah, when I come home to her when the sun goes down
Take away my troubles, take away my grief
Take away my heartache in the night like a thief

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

David reached his hand out to Maddie, and they danced slowly together, her arms around his neck, and his around her waist, with their son in her belly between the two of them. They could both feel him kicking, and smiled.
