In the morning Peter was at the table in his room looking at an open sketchbook; he had drawn up a design of a better Spider-Man suit. With web patterns, the logo and change the blue about in the outfit. He was putting together a red mask with some material he had gotten from a cosplay; shop sewed the web around the mask and putting together some white lenses into it with black overlays around them.
"Peter; could you come here please..." May called out as Peter then quickly put the sketchbook and mask and the other items into a box to hide away before going to the living room. Peter then found Mary Jane there on the couch facing May who was sitting down; then smiling as they were talking to eachother. "Peter... Mary Jane Watson is here... Remember here living next door? From how little you talked about her now; I was thinking that you both hadn't connected after you were showing her around school. Yet here she is coming for a visit." May then said as Mary Jane then shook her head.
"Thanks Mrs Parker and it's Osborn now... Believe it or not Mayor Dad lets me use his name... Despite the fact that he all but told me that I am not living up to the prestige he built up with the surname." Mary Jane then replied having a hint of frustration. "Anyway... I was wondering you wanted to hang out together... Out there..." Mary Jane then said as Peter was surprised.
"Really... The two of us... And your bodyguards?" Peter asked as Mary Jane giggled.
"I am allowed to be on my own... As long as I am with someone Mayor Dad said he trusts and he personally vetted for you. So come on Tiger..." Mary Jane told him with a smile dragging him up by the hand.
"Tiger... Is that a nickname?" Peter asked as May then smiled as she waved goodbye to them.
In the apartment home of Max Dillon; the man had put together a costume after having through several sketches of various idea. He had put on agreen spandex leotard, cut down a pair of yellow tights to be like a pair of underwear to put on them; sewed two lightning bolts onto them and then looked into the mirror. his face from the incident had put on a star shaped scar onto his face.
There was a check off the door and then Dillon went out to to face his roommate who had been out of the city on a business trip. "Hey Max... How are things... I heard about how something happened at your work... One of the head science people had four robot arms and there was that Spider guy..." the man said taking his suitcase in and then jumped as he saw Dillon in his suit. "What the hell Dillon... Are you trying to audition for the circus or try for some 60s tribute music band..." the man asked incredulously.
"Guess what Joe... During that thing... I was to fix a box but the alarm went off and... I fell into a vat of water with some sort of super eels and... I'm a superhero now..." Dillon then said excitedly showing the scar on his face as Joe looked at him.
"You clearly hit your head and had an accident on your face... You should see a doctor..." Joe then said shaking his head as Dillon then let out a bolt of electricity that destroyed a table clock. "Dude... What... Do you have the power of Zeus right now or something..." Joe cried out in shock and looked around. "Dude... Have you been practicing that in here... You busted the TV! It's not even fully paid for yet!" Joe then snapped looking at a fried TV as Dillon was smirking looking proud of himself.
"Don't worry about that... I want you to help me... Soon we are going to get interview requests, sponsorship deals and endorsement deals out of the ass... We will be able to move out of this crummy apartment! You can be the unofficial sidekick of..." Max said as he then grabbed a ski mask that he had sewed a giant yellow star decoration over and then put it on. "Electro!" Dillon then said as he made a pose while Joe just watched.
"I didn't think that you could look any more stupid in that outfit but you proved me wrong..." Joe then drawled as Dillon then kept posing. "Dillon... Is is crazy... Insane... You need to get to a hospital and get that checked out... You want to try and be a superhero? This is real life..." Joe then told him as Dillon looked confident.
"Joe... This is the fast track to success... Out of our mediocre jobs... Save a couple of people... Stop a few muggers and let the people eat it up... We focus on the celeb lifestyle and I just do enough 'heroics' to be seen as a hero... You could be my manager... The offers to get me on their talk shows so I can show up and do this..." Dillon then said showing off his electricity and had himself float up as Joe jumped away.
"You have gotta warn a dude before you do that..." Joe then told him and then thought about it and then nodded. "Yeah... This could make us rich... So how do we go about this?" Joe then asked as Dillon then grinned.
"We stage my first rescue... You hanging on the top of a building and fall down so that I can catch you!" Dillon then explained as Joe just stared at him.
"Excuse me?" he then retorted.
Oscorp Tower in an underground testing area; Norman was with an aged man in a labcoat as a younger man was sitting down at a computer as they were behind a window. Several vehicle sized insect like robots were chasing after floating drones and then fired lasers upon them. "The Seeker-Bots or S-Bots have been upgraded from their prototype designs. They will seek and hunt down any target they are designated while ignoring all others. The perfect hunter." the man at the computer then said as Norman smirked at what he was watching.
"When these are ready; I can imagine the millions that the military will be looking to pay for these. If I could get away with it; I would love to sanction these for police use and have crime down to 0 in a week." Norman then said with a grin.
"You can thank my boy Alistair for this as he has been upgrading the AI and sensors in the network as well as finding a way to make them move more efficently." said the older man who was Spencer Smythe a robotics expert and head of research & development at Oscorp; with the man at the computer being his son and assistant Alistair.
"I envy you Spencer; having a brilliant son to make you proud. I only have an airheaded redhead that I adopted that is sure to bring me embarassment when she gets drunk in wild college parties and end up in the news." Norman then said as he then gave a disappointed glare. "You know she has a guide at the high school after I relented in letting her attend public school... A kid with promising grades and by all accounts; a prodigy in science. I want him to be around as he just might prove himself to be the child I always wanted... More time they spend together and the more chance he gets married into the family and I might have a heir to all this." Norman then continued on.
"Sorry to hear about your disappointment Mr Osborn sir." Spencer then said as Norman shrugged it off.
"There is something that I want you to do; I put up a new project headed by Mr Quentin Beck and I think your designs could help with the project." Norman told him as Spencer listened intently.
"You know; this might sound corny... BUt being allowed to go out on the streets and do normal stuff... I wish I could be doing this for a long while... Instead of having my schedule picked out for me by my busy adopted parent." Mary Jane told Peter with a sigh as they had gotten hot dogs from a vendor.
Peter was trying to think of something to say when he suddenly had his eyes covered by hands; then they let go and Peter found a pretty girl a year older than him with white hair and wearing a black jacket and shirt. "Crossing my path and now I get bad luck..." Peter then told her as she laughed.
"Missed you too Mr Parker... Is this your new squeeze... The Mayor's daughter trying to do what I did?" the girl asked with a smirk as Mary Jane looked at her. "Felicia Hardy. I got to Midtown too and I know Peter. Hope to get to know you too Ms Osborn; after my suspension ends off course." she then introduced herself to Mary Jane.
"The bad girl at the school; kind of bad luck to be around. She asked me out and got me hooked on her finger but days later I found out she was after me to do her homework." Peter explained with a sigh as Felicia pouted.
"We had such a great thing going; you got a hot girlfriend to kiss and hold whenever you wanted and I wouldn't have to worry about passing a class ever again. Plus I did find you cute, funny and an adorable dweeb... When I was in the middle of using you." Felicia then said as Peter shook his head. "Say... Sorry to hear about your uncle... I know he didn't like me and everything but..." Felicia said in a softer voice as Peter then gave a slow nod.
"Well if it isn't Mary Jane and... Felicia Hardy!" said a voice and then they saw Eddie coming up to him with a smile. "Guess who realised that his old man is too busy at work to enforce his grounding! Plus the bad girl of Midtown herself Felicia Hardy..." Eddie then said laughing at Felicia who put her hands on her hips.
"I want to thank you Eddie Brock for when the school is back on and i can attend again... I can imagine that people will be too busy to laugh at you and make fun of you for your shoddy journalism that they won't care too much that I am back." Felicia then told Eddie who grunted and glared at him.
"Look up there..." an elderly man with glasses said pointing up to a building and they and other people started looking up to see a man holding the top of a building with his grip about to fall.
There were gasps and screams with Peter scared as he wouldn't be able to get changed and catch the guy in time...
Max was in his new outfit with a long raincoat and hat with the mask off; he was looking up to see where Joe was hanging onto the building. Max noticed people were screaming as he grinned as he was watching as Joe climbed on and started loudly screaming to get people's attention. He then dramatically pulled off his raincoat and hat; putting on his mask. He then activated his electricity and then managed to float up right into the air.
"Fear not citizen! I will save you!" Dillon dramatically shouted as he got up and then then caught Joe up in the air in his arms. Joe shouted out from the static shock that he was giving out. Dillon then slowly floated down to give time for the people with their pones to catch him. He then put Joe down and then there was a crowd in front of him taking pictures as he then posed.
"A new one?"
"Another superhero?"
"His costume kind of sucks..."
"Is he Lightning Bolt Man?"
"Excuse me... Eddie Brock here and wondering who you are..." Eddie asked as it started to rain.
"I am the Electric Guardian of New York... I am Electro!" Dillon dramatically shouted out as Peter, Mary Jane and Felicia then stared at him with others with some muttering. Still most were excited and wanted to get video and pictures.
However Dillon felt the rain drops onto him and he jumped as he ended up giving out a burst of electricity with the crowd stepping back. A man the gave out a cry; "My pacemaker hurts..." the man cried as his wife cradled him.
"Don't worry... I can fix it..." muttered Dillon unsure about this as he let out a blast and it sounded like it then fried the man's pacemaker.
"You! You just killed him!" She cried out as there were mutterings and whispers as Dillon looked nervous and then then in a panic he then sent out a blast of electricity that sent people back with most running in terror.
Eddie kept back to take footage; Mary Jane started looking for Peter but Felicia spotted him running into an alleyway. Dillon then felt his electricity giving out more uncontrollable blasts as it then started shocking more people and he started running with Eddie following.
A long years back one of my favourite Youtubers had called Electro the road not taken to Spidey as in one of the super criminals who shows an example of what he could do if he didn't have morals and Electro could have been a hero if he chose to. I am deciding to go that route with Dillon as clearly shown last chapter; doesn't have any altruistic intentions behind wanting to be a superhero. Plus like my Great Power Story; I am having it so that his origin into becoming a villain is based on the first episode of Supercrooks on Netflix. Plus yeah Joe is just a minor OC.
The S-Bots got their name from the Amazing Spider-Man game and yes here is Felicia.
