Nobody liked paparazzi. Even those who couldn't get enough gossip in their lives over whatever new hot celebrity or hero was in hot water. Outside the gate of the UA Academy was a plethora of reporters who were acting on the borders of becoming paparazzi with their incessant questioning. Izuku was too frazzled by the overload of attention to answer any questions properly. Ochaco was just using onomatopoeias to speak of her experiences so it was a lost cause to get a story there. Iida talked too much in detail to even edit the footage down enough while keeping his ranting coherent. Bakugou didn't give a shit and walked by without a word. One after another there was just an endless stream of useless interviews that frustrated all the reporters to the point of insanity. When they thought that they had a break with Aizawa coming out to interact with the crowd; turns out that he was telling them all to leave in a professional capacity on behalf of UA.

"Hey! Wait just a-"

"Hey, get back!"

A naive and young reporter for a local news station had stepped far too close to the outer gates. From below, the front entrance was barred shut by these massive pillars that slammed the entrance closed and out from the rest of the world. She was just close enough to feel the air pressure whip past her without getting sucked into the trajectory of the pillars themselves.

"Wh-what the f… Why?!"

The rest of the reporters disclaimed that the UA security system had an automated gate that closed automatically whenever somebody without a visitor's pass or proper authorization attempted to trespass onto school grounds. Despite all of their complaints and whining, there was only one person outside the locked off gates that was intent on letting everybody through. Now was the time to start poking at the beast.

Classroom One A

"I'm impressed, Bakugou. Your assessments have come back neat and with a high grading for your performance. As long as you refrain from committing the same bodily harm to your fellow classmates in the future I think you're well on your way to becoming an ideal hero."

At the front of the class there were packets of papers with every student's comprehensive assessment reports from yesterday. It was a hefty amount of paper for every person who was called up for their reviews. It seemed that the ESD didn't just have competent medical staff and proctors; they were keen on offering necessary information to the smallest of capacities for the benefit of these future heroes.

"... Thank you, sir."

As a teacher for a few years at UA; it was the first he's seen a student visibly upset after getting an outstanding score. His guess was the collateral damage he mentioned must have gotten to the boy more than he initially thought. Bakugou silently sat back down without a word with Izuku peeking out from the corner of his eyes. He didn't like to see his friend like this; but he knew that Katsuki needed some space to deal with his inner turmoil at the moment.

"Midoriya."

"Y-yes?!"

Aizawa was waving the assessment packet of Izuku's performance for the exercise yesterday and he did not look impressed.

"As well as your initial performances were, please refrain from constantly injuring yourself with the use of your quirk. I would hate to see such potential wasted from short sighted excitement."

"Ah, yes sir!"

Everybody got their assessments normally enough with Aizawa throwing in his ten cents on what could have been done better and what they did right. His level of insight indicated to those paying attention that he bothered to go through every single report and watched the footage back as well. He truly did not live up to his devil-may-care attitude that everybody else had perceived at first sight.

"Alright, with that out of the way; we'll be moving onto the next homeroom activity assigned for today."

Nobody could figure exactly what it was that this sadist had planned for them to accomplish. What was next? Run with nothing but your quirk? Figure out how to maintain flight with nothing but your quirk?

"Today you shall be charged with figuring out your class president."

People actually were even more stressed out from such an underwhelming response. The expectation for some new sort of do or die activity was at an all time high after yesterday. Not long after the initial shock the rest of the room erupted in eager pleas and demands to be put into the position. It was indeed seen to be a role of responsibility over the conduct of the class outside of the room with the added task of being this room's representative of sorts.

Everybody there was eager to be seen and recognized for their efforts; so it wasn't all that surprising when the demand for the position was at an all time high. Bakugou and Midoriya were the only two people in the room who were not begging for the role. Izuku was meek as usual, but Katsuki seemingly opted out with his eyes just going over his assessment from yesterday.

"Settle down!"

From the desk of Tenya Iida came a larger than life declaration of peace and proper decorum from the rest of the student body.

"Ambition should not be the sole prerequisite in electing our representative. This process could be constitutional and structured as a democracy with everybody here allowed to voice their decision. Which is why…"

Oddly enough, nothing he said was hypocritical as his right arm was painfully stretched to the sky.

"We must hold an election to determine the class president!"

Most of the class erupted into a debate of the advantages and disadvantages of allowing a popularity vote to determine the class representatives. It was eventually agreed that it was the most ideal solution to see who it was that deserved the position. An anonymous vote was held and with every vote added up it was determined to be Midoriya Izuku alongside Yaoyorozu Momo as his second-in-command. He stood in front of the classroom with a bit of a nervous energy that he was known to have. To his left the more confident Momo slightly bumped shoulders with Midoriya.

"Hey."

He looked to the left and saw an expression on Momo that made him feel slightly more confident. It wasn't out of any need to avoid responsibility; but looking into her eyes told him that Momo was going to be here with him through thick and thin.

"I'll be right here for you, okay?"

Another intimate moment picked up by all the single men who gave a shit. Midoriya and Momo were in their own space as it was an endearing promise that she would be a partner to help him at every turn. Those who couldn't catch on were spared the headache.

Lunchtime UA Academy

The lunchroom was rather crowded with all of the students there who happened to be in the cafeteria to get some sort of sustenance for the day. Almost half the room was reluctant to get the cafeteria meals in comparison to the wildly varied and unique culinary experience they could have gotten for cheaper just outside the school gate.

Two problems with that method that particular day. One, Haru wasn't there. A rare moment where he didn't station himself in front of UA Academy and the entire school was already talking about it within less than a week into the school year. The kitchen in the back had a fuming gourmet hero listen in on the gossip that the younger kitchen staff volunteers brought into the workspace with them. Needless to say he tried in vain to improve his cooking by the smallest of margins from where it was already set in terms of quality and taste.

"So many kids here, eh? Must be the business and support departments finally getting the same hours as us, huh?"

All around them there was a very poignant reminder of why the usually moderately populated lunchroom was now almost overcrowded. So many students were still complaining that the quality of meals they were subjected to was lacking in terms of their usual option of meal.

"I'm more worried about being class rep. Do you guy's think I could do it?"

"Oi, cut it out. Momo's got your back, right? Why don't you lean on that?"

Kyoka threw in her usual ten cents on matters with her own observations of the situation. She had opted for the lunchroom meal as well since Haru was absent for some odd reason that day. Nobody who had his number wanted to bother him that day since it felt rather wrong to demand where he was when he was already committing so much time to their wellbeing as it was. Ochaco was never the picky eater in comparison to others and was happily munching on the improved white rice while enjoying her sides like she always did when eating here.

"I can't do that! I'll just be some sort of freeloader if I let that happen. I don't know why so many people wanted me in the class rep position when everybody else got some sort of vote. I wonder if maybe-"

"It was, Izuku. Don't sweat it, cause nobody else could have done better than you."

While Kyoka had been known for being direct and calloused; her honesty came out of a place of care with those she wanted to help. Within the social circle outside of UA obligations they all knew of her behavior and it was something they valued between each other. Mina scooched up to Kyoka and just wrapped her arm around the other girls and leaned her head on the others shoulder. It was known for the inner circle of friends that she was rather terrible at disguising her stares that lingered of her fellow female compatriots. Mina loved to take advantage of this knowledge to get her way with Kyoka in her own devious ways.

"Really, now? I must say, you seem rather confident in his place in the class…"

This next part was whispered into the skinny teens ear with the others unable to decipher what was said by Ashido.

"Maybe I could have you be my examiner? What do you say?"

Kyoka blushed madly at such a suggestion. She stumbled and sputtered while trying to eat to distract from the fact that Mina's suggestion was a difficult one to refuse. As much as Mina flirted with her and Momo, she was still struggling with how she felt about other girls. The femenine curves of her friends and the sweet and intoxicating smells she was subjected to made it all the more difficult. Mina flirted more often than Momo, so it was seen as more of a play type of behavior by the pink shaded girl. It was when she began to notice Izuku look at them as well that she even saw the green haired boy land in her field of vision.

When she saw the boy return from a long absence that Mina had been extremely vocal about; there wasn't that much of a reaction to her. It was when Mina shared in the girls only IM chat room the photos she had Izuku send to her that she found it harder to look away from the boy. Right when she was certain she was gay; those photos of Midoriya being cut and chisteled made her brain got bouncing off the walls like a game of pong with all the sides being the blockers.

It didn't end there as the photos kept coming in and nobody in the chat was complaining or asking her to stop sending illicit photos of the young Midoriya. Izuku didn't have social media outside of their circle of friends and so it was clear he wasn't a vain person to begin with. He was just trying to please his girl with whatever she wanted to see of him. The rest of them just happened to be there to openly oggle as well without his knowledge.

"I am so sorry again! It just seems like Haru-san is just too busy these days. I certainly hope he is alright."

Momo once again returned with an expensive looking lunch. The meal of choice this time was a sashimi bowl with delicately cut fish on top that were more like jewelry than food items. Just as beautifully prepared was the bed of rice underneath that was so well tempered that it just melted like snow on Momo's tongue. Yaoyorozu was already adjusted for finer quizine; and her parents asked that Haru prep all of her meals out of kindness. They even offered a hefty sum to compensate the man while he fed their daughter. He argued that as long as she performed as she should in school, he would do it all free of charge.

"So what was it we were talking about?"

The other girls at the table gave Izuku a hard time ofer his belief that perhaps that he wasn't worthy of his vote into the class representative position. Momo lent her opinion on the issue since it was seen as necessary to help bolster Izuku's opinion.

"Midoriya! You know you're above such self deprecation! Be more confident in your position and be more open to accepting my help…"

She layed a delicate hand onto Izuku's hand that made him feel as though an angel was touching him in the exact same manner.

"Okay? Trust me. I'll be here for you, no matter what."

She had leaned in quite close to tell the boy she had known from a very early age to have trust in her opinion of the teenager. Izuku could smell the expensive perfume and detergent used to prepare her uniform. He had a distinct memory of both smells; what was really going through his head was what it was like to smell one of these scents on her while being close enough to her to do so. It wasn't as extreme of a stretch that Izuku had imagined it to be. Perhaps asking was enough for him to get the girl to consider such a proposition.

"Ah yes, I almost forgot; How have you been since the last time we've met, Tenya-san?"

Momo spoke to Iida as old business partners and it got a few people at the table curious as to what it was she was referring to. Momo noticed the looks she and Iida received and began to elaborate for both of them.

"Oh, I forgot. Iida's family, The Ingeniums, are associated with my family as business partners in investments. It's a bit of a complicated matter there, so I'll skip the details there for the sake of ease. To sum it up simply; Me and Iida are childhood business acquaintances."

That was a rather complicated way of saying that these two knew each other from early on since earlier from their families. Izuku was already perking up at the familiar hero title that had a rather hefty pedigree behind their heroic ventures.

"The Ingeniums?! The same family that employs over sixty five sidekicks alone?!"

"Well then, I guess you're rather well informed."

Iida readjusted his glasses while he gloated about the history that his family had in the world of heroism.

"The title of Ingenium had been a name passed through my family. Right now; my oldest brother is the herald of the title Ingenium!"

Momo was already well aware of all this information as the successor of the Yaoyorozu fortune. It was even considered that Iida became a potential spouse for her future. She was rather fond of getting to know her potential marriage partners rather than just going into wedlock out of nowhere.

"But right now I lack the experience to succeed with the Ingenium name. Right now I believe that it is Izuku that fits the profile best as class representative."

There was a faith in him that he wasn't used to receiving from others from the get go. It was a refreshing feeling to make new friends and actually have them bel-

VREEEEEEEE

The security alarm for UA went off and sent the student body into an initial panic. From the hallways the ESD staff stationed at UA Academy made their appearance. From the many scary looking security officers; there was an officer who looked like somebody that would have had nothing but younger siblings. Her mannerisms and looks helped ease the student body to trust her words.

"Good afternoon, students! If I could have you all form an evacuation structure to help with vacating the building; I would greatly appreciate the effort on your part!"

This was all an effective method until the whispering in the hallways began to incite panic in the crowd. Some rumors began to echo that this was all an act of terrorism. The few officers on the sides of the hallway stood vigilantly as the overcrowding was beginning to pick up pace and fall into a possible emergency they were trained for. Now there were a significant number of students pushing and shoving past one another while ESD officers lined the hallways every few tens of meters or so.

Quite a few students tripping and falling in the chaos would have been subjected to trampling had it not been for the security officers from the ESD to help those who lost their footing. In the mass panic with the ESD preventing unnecessary loss of life; Iida was slammed up against the outer windows where he caught a glance of what it was that triggered the alarms. The crowd of reporters were in the entrance courtyard with an ESD security barrier with no less than fifteen ESD security personnel keeping the crowd under control like they would at an incident out in the wild with the general public. It was just an inverse of the usual bowed arch they were conditioned for to simply keep the unauthorized individuals from breaking in.

Aizawa and Present Mic were impressed with the ESD security response time that was able to keep the public from storming the school grounds. They were actually treated as supervisors of the event as an ESD security team leader addressed them with authority.

"Good afternoon, in what manner do you wish us to proceed from here? Are there any sorts of requests you wish to make from us?"

They both saw that the laser tape that the ESD put up to indicate as a no pass zone went all the way to the gates. There were slots installed into the gates themselves to accommodate laser points for the tape to encompass the entire entrance once the perimeter was properly set up. The two heroes felt like chopped liver as they were made aware that the ESD personnel on campus were at the gates in seven seconds flat to contain the chaos. This was considered an all time low in response time.

"... Just get them off the grounds."

"Y-yes! Do just that!"

The ESD security team leader simply bowed out of respect and began to lead the group through their concise instructions to get the rest of the unwelcome trespassers off the school grounds. Each laser tape pole was also equipped with high quality audio speakers to amplify any announcements being made by the proper authoritative agents.

"All trespassing individuals! Please vacate the premises as unauthorized entry has been recognized! Failure to comply will subject offending parties to hefty government fees between individual parties as well as corporate entities!"

It was immediately recognized by the press and reporters that they were due for some serious fees if they didn't leave the school grounds asap. The second time around the reporters were actually fighting to get out through the impromptu entrance they took in to get their stories. If heroes were the subject of such fees; what chance did they have in surviving such fees?

"... Wanna get some dessert?"

"Sure."

There was no headache for the two teachers as the ESD took care of everything for them while treating them as the authoritative figures that made the decision for security to act in their usual professional and effective function. The interior of the school was less organized as the unfortunate coincidence that the cafeteria was overpopulated and above expected projected numbers were giving the limited staff there a run for their money. There were no serious injuries as the trained staff there had prevented students from harming one another as trained.

"Iida! Help!"

He could see Ochaco reach for him as he was just able to get himself unpinned from the outer windows. With little option, he needed to make a loud and noticeable announcement to get the rest of the school to see that this entire situation was already handled. He struggled but got close enough to his fellow classmate.

"Uraraka, make me float!"

"Uh, sure!"

There was little enough thought put towards this plan as it were. On instinct he began to propel himself with the jets on the back of his calves to send him spinning across the overhead space of the panicking student populace. He slammed painfully into the wall just above the emergency exit and latched onto a pipe to keep his balance to announce to the entire student body the reality of the situation.

"Everybody!"

So many people were already surprised by a spinning student flying through the air. His announcement simply drew the rest of the attention he was lacking.

"It's all fine! The ESD already removed the intruders! They were all reporters! So don't worry anymore!"

The police took way too much time to respond when there was a full squad of ESD officers already there to contain the situation. There was a necessary presence for police, so the ESD gave the lead of the police squad a comprehensive report of events as well as a media drive with every bit of footage they captured before their arrival. The lead detective was Uchihara Iba, who got his officers to set up a perimeter that allowed the ESD officers on campus to return to their posts. After lunch there was a rather poignant meeting in the homeroom for who Izuku thought was actually worthy of the representative position.

"As much as I want to say I am somebody who earned this position; that honor has never been more obviously deserved by anybody here than Tenya Iida!"

So many people in the class were already made aware of the earlier incident that Iida had mitigated through his brash actions. There was little contest as the rest of the room was in unanimous agreement to let Iida perform to his fullest capacity as class president. What stopped Midoriya before he left the front of the class was a hand that caught the end of his jacket as he returned to his desk. He looked back to see what it was that stopped him from leaving to see Momo's delicate fingers just stopping him to let Izuku know how much she was looking forward to being co-presidents.

Her adorably pouting face was even a tell as Izuku took it upon himself to remedy her mood. Midoriya gently caught her hand on his own and just let her grip gently soften in his grip and let the touch linger ever so slightly to communicate that they were better without all this bureaucracy getting in the way of them. She let their fingers interlock before he left her to her new co-president. The warmth of Izuku's hand was there for Momo for the rest of the day.

Later That Day

The same woman who had announced to the cafeteria area that there was an emergency alert was sitting at her desk with a basket of worries as she had received a call earlier. The earlier panic was recognized by somebody higher up on the ladder and it was known that he was already heavily involved in this school's curriculum to monitor a few subjects he personally monitored for their safety. It was all trying to overwhelm her when she was interrupted with a voice sitting next to her.

"Ah, quite the day you've had."

She turned out of a panic to see the man that she was fearing to face from the very beginning. The ESD was located in a separate section from the rest of the school and it lent the space to be mostly stricken off the record for more privileged individuals. Such abuse was not permitted from the start, so there was not a major concern of other illicit activities taking place at the UA facilities. This individual ESD officer was faced with a hefty fine in her head and was trying to find something to say to her highest superior.

"Nakamura-san, I-"

"Stop. Before you say anything; I wanted to let you know this was entirely my fault."

This was not her expected outcome by any capacity. This man was described as gon on earth, and here he was apologizing for something he did.

"All of this was my fault. I failed to address the lax standards for ESD personnel and the student's suffered from my negligence."

So not only was Haru apologizing dressed in blue jeans and a black hoodie that made him look like an unsuspecting hoodlum; he openly took responsibility for everything here today that she thought was a result of her negligence.

"So I'm here to help you to prevent such careless mistakes in the future. So let's get to work, shall we?"

This organization was her life from the very beginning. As far as she could remember, this entity that owned the country kept her safe, educated her, and made her the competent adult she was today. To see the man who owned it work with her filled her with a sensation of divine devotion to her mission. Everything covered that day was immediately put into effect to better protect the UA students from any other future threats.

Later That Day

The ESD department eventually returned with a forensics team to observe the breach that had allowed the reporters onto campus grounds without proper authority from the start. The lead detective was sure to properly coordinate between his people and the ESD as they were treated as one entity by the man who had made them come into existence as the powerhouses of the Japanese citizen's safety. The operatives were in the middle of collecting critical examples of debris when a voice behind Iba caught his immediate attention.

"Status?"

He spun around to see the man who had requested his presence stand in a black hoodie and blue jeans to disappear amongst the other operatives at the scene. Iba gave Nakamura a data tablet with any and all information collected so far.

"Right now, all we have is security footage. There's a sizeable amount of footage to scrub through; so given about thirty six hours or so we should be-"

"Stop talking…"

The man clammed up without hesitation as the organization's true leader scanning the datapad stopped. There was something there that both he and the ESD missed that Haru caught just then.

"I need you to get this breach cleared up and I need an old account restarted immediately."

An account was not a light demand from his superiors. The only one who could get instant approval without anybody else having to hear about it was this same man standing right next to him.

"I am to be the first point of contact no matter what. Subject: Tomura Shigaraki."

Haru could still remember the sight of the boy he failed to save all those years ago. To see something like this now was his prerogative to address. A familiar sight of a face that was just caught by a passing news camera was enough to tell Haru that something was in the works that even he could not ignore. Not if he was to let somebody he once let down slip through his fingers again. He won't make that same mistake twice ever again.
