Quite a few students who were still unaware of exactly how skillful Nakamura was in a fight were still speechless while Mirio got dressed after his loss against the man. His form and speed were impeccable against someone who possessed the ability to phase through attacks. Mirio was unable to get a single proper strike in against Haru during their entire fight.

Aizawa took the opportunity to reiterate how important it was to the soon to be interns that they gain as much knowledge as possible while they take part in their respective internships. MIrio was deep in conversation with Nakamura as the rest of the first years were excused to return to their dorms. Both Izuku and Katsuki wanted to say something to their currently estranged mentor. The conversations they had with their respective mothers gave them the context necessary to be patient enough until Haru was ready to talk to them.

They walked away as the big three bombarded the dorm mother with a multitude of questions that would have overwhelmed a lesser man. Despite the emotional turmoil he possessed, Nakamura still had an obligation to those he swore to help through whatever issues they trusted him with.

That Evening

All the girls in dorm 1-A were enjoying their bath time after the beating they took from their senior classman a few hours ago. Momo and Toru were finishing up their showers while the others were bathing in leisure in the large hot water tub. Izuku was cozied up next to Mina and Ochaco as they relaxed and enjoyed the heat seeping into their sore muscles.

Having sex in the bath was fun and easy for the inclusively exclusive lovers since cleanup was a none issue inside of the bathing area. There were times that the lovers were more keen on just enjoying each other's company over indulging their baser needs.

Enjoying their time together was a blessing that they all came to appreciate whenever they had the time to spare. Tsuyu snuggled up next to Ochaco while the others were all finding their spots in the bath to relax. Momo nestled in front of Izuku while Kyoka fell into Mina's embrace. It was nothing short of what they all needed to heal their exhausted spirits.

Elsewhere in the City

The League of Villains were just about done licking their wounds from the loss of their leader when they decided to start recruiting others into their cause. On the outskirts of the city was an abandoned facility that was once used to produce sheet metal when the demand for the product was high a long time ago. All that remained was a shell of a once profitable commodity lost to the progress of the modern era.

Inside one of the rooms that once served as an office was Shigaraki Tomura. A desk that had seen better days served as his personal table while he was fumbling with something in his hands. He was playing with a black business card with nothing but a phone number penned with silver ink printed on one side of it. It wasn't a perfect copy of the one that he received from the other masked stranger during his meetup with Midoriya at the shopping mall.

The placement of the number was completely different on the card along with the state of the card he originally possessed being in a far more worn condition than the one he was currently scrutinizing. He was certain that the card he left back at the original hideout was still tucked away in the lining of his mattress when he found himself waking up far away from the fight against his master's enemies. After the others collected themselves, he searched his pockets for whatever little the remaining league members possessed and found the card on his person.

There were even more questions over who it was underneath the mask as his memories were starting to betray his current convictions. Thinking back on the last few moments before he was rendered unconscious, he realized that there wasn't a single moment where he felt like his life was actually in danger.

Being threatened with insurmountable power didn't necessarily translate to immediate danger. Whoever Bloodsoaked was, they never intended on killing Tomura that night. Now he was faced with evidence that this mysterious figure his master considered a monster had deeper connections to his past than he thought possible. The only way this card could have found its way into his pocket that night was only possible if Bloodsoaked knew who it was that tried to save him all those years ago.

Shigaraki's thoughts were interrupted as Magna knocked on the door to let her presence be known to the current acting leader of the league she served. Tomura stuffed the card back into his pant's pocket before allowing her to enter his personal office space.

It seemed that Twice had been contacted by a promising recruit that reached out to the league. For now, all his emotional turmoil would have to sit on the backburner until he addressed the league's current need of new members. He exited the abandoned office to join the others awaiting the arrival of the new potential member of their organization.

Later

Entering the warehouse were Twice and the recruit who expressed interest in joining the league's cause. Shigaraki could recognize based on some information his master shared with him in the past that this recruit wasn't just another run of the mill ruffian looking for a good time. Entering the warehouse behind Twice was the current acting leader of the remaining yakuza, or the eight precepts of death as they were calling themselves now.

Toga was too young to know about an organization like the yakuza, so Compress filled in the gaps for the uninformed youth. There was once a time where criminal organizations ran rampant across the country. Being introduced to a world where such ways of life could never prosper, the yakuza became a shell of what they used to be practically overnight.

Now that the young acting leader of the yakuza had the attention of the remaining league members, he pushed his agenda to recruit them into his organization. It was his prerogative to push the yakuza back into the position of power it once possessed before the rise of heroism. The villain, who was identified as Overhaul, treated the fall of All for One as an inconvenience to the real threat he wanted to combat.

Overhaul expressed how he knew of a different underlying beast that usurped the yakuza's power so many years ago. How the underworld organization seemingly transformed so many years ago after a mysterious amount of deaths in the criminal underworld. Something that sounded extremely familiar to the killings that Bloodsoaked perpetrated around the same time.

Apparently the information was not universally known as Overhaul never made one mention of the existence of the mysterious killer. The loss of All for One was even seen as a minor loss in comparison to how large of a threat this shadow organization that ruled the underground was.

What the current acting leader of the yakuza wanted was to restore the organization he represented back to its former glory. He questioned what it was that Shigaraki planned to do against an enemy that he couldn't see or hear with what little he possessed. Tomura was not lacking in conviction, though it was clear to Overhaul that the current iteration of the League of Villains was woefully unprepared to fight the war they were trying to instigate.

Poking at a sore spot that was the league's body count was enough to irritate a good amount of the remaining members. Everybody who got involved with the league and their matters had a tendency to end up in body bags. Villains like Stain weren't even directly involved with the league, yet all he got for his troubles was a bullet through the heart.

Overhaul offered the limping criminal organization his resources and abilities in exchange for their loyalty. He was even bold enough to say that the one who helped All Might during the final battle against All for One would fall under his control or die if he were to refuse joining. They knew first hand how powerful that individual was with first hand experience, and knew that this guy was reaching above his station while hunting down Bloodsoaked.

Magne heard enough from the delusional acting commander of the yakuza. She unwrapped her giant magnetic weapon and pulled in Overhaul to end him with one decisive strike. The memory of her friend gave her the inner strength to act against the potential threat to the league's goals. Now she was the one to stand up against those who sought to run over her goals.

Sentiment and bravery did little to stop Magne from becoming red paste from the hips and above. All Overhaul did was graze his finger against her forearm to render the masculine woman into nothing but a literal pair of legs. Compress was the first to give into his anger and retaliate against Overhaul.

In his rage, he failed to notice the dart that pierced his shoulder before he was able to touch Overhaul. His quirk didn't activate, which left him wide open for an attack that practically erased his left arm. Things were getting out of control with two of their numbers out for the count. Tomura lunged for Overhaul with his hand extended forward to disintegrate the man in the gaudy mask covering half his face.

Instead of Overhaul, another crony who was likely the yakuza leader's lackey jumped in front of the attack and died as a crumbling mess on the floor. More masked henchmen all dressed like plague doctors came crashing through the abandoned warehouse to provide backup for Overhaul.

The remaining league members were eager to take on the opposing force. Shigaraki was the voice of reason that managed to keep his fellow villains at bay. Overhaul gave the group a fair warning as to not cross paths in the future, lest they wish to be eliminated like anybody else who got in his way.

While he may not have known about the threat he had declared war against, the league could see that their time to retaliate against the delusional villain would be soon. There were bigger fish in the pond that would easily do all the hard work for them. All they needed to do was wait for Overhaul to poke at the beast he was clueless against.

UA Academy Teacher's Lounge

Izuku and Mirio were called in by All Might to discuss the candidate for Midoriya's internship. When the retired hero was confronted with the prospect of allowing his protege to study under his former sidekick, he wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea. Togata Mirio was already an apprentice who was under the direct tutelage of the hero known as Nighteye. That reason was the biggest reason why he was joining Izuku and All Might in the teacher's lounge.

As it were, it seemed as though All Might and his former sidekick didn't exactly leave on amicable terms. It was no longer All Might's place to introduce his current student to the former sidekick. Still, All Might didn't want to force the chipper blonde boy into agreeing with his request. A simple question of whether or not Togata saw the potential that would make Midoriya suitable to learn under Nighteyes tutelage was posed to Mirio.

Though Izuku was still wet behind the ears, he saw no reason to say no to the internship application to his hero agency. Togata then confronted Izuku with a question he felt was pertinent to the matter at hand.

"Midoriya, if you don't mind me asking, what sort of hero do you wish to become?"

There was a lot to unload for Izuku for such a simple question. He stewed on the topic for a few moments before replying in earnest.

"... I once thought that being a hero was just being something that gives people hope. Something that would always help people without hesitation and offer protection to those who needed it… Now I realize there's more to it."

Both Mirio and All Might were curious as to what revelation Izuku had for them. Everybody had their reasons for becoming a hero, but there was something that Midoriya needed to clarify for himself more than anybody else.

"Being a hero was all I could think about. I worked so hard to get to where I am now, but it's only just now I see that I left a lot of things behind over my obsession."

Though it wasn't the answer they weren't expecting, Togata and All Might maintained their silence to hear the rest of what Midoriya had to say. Izuku took a good look at the scarred hands and remembered what Arisu said to him and the others the night that All Might fought against All for One. He knew better now and realized that he left his mark on someone who wanted him safe.

"I want to be a hero that isn't just a great hero. I want to be a good man who will become the greatest hero."

There was a fire in Izuku's eyes that sent chills down the other's spines. Midoriya was still young while possessing a spirit of someone wise beyond his years. Something that he would forever be thankful for with the years of guidance and care he received from his father figure.

"I will become the greatest hero that will be the example that other heroes should follow. There is so much more to being a great hero that goes beyond just the fighting or speeches. Someday, I'll be the one teaching those about what it means to be a good person who is also a hero."

Togata was already thoroughly impressed with the insight that Izuku had on becoming a hero. All Might felt those words sink into a deeper part of him as he thought back onto his own career. All he had to show for all his struggles and effort was this husk of a body with the world in a panic over the vacuum he left behind when he retired.

His teacher failed to be a good mother by simply washing her hands of her matriarchal duties. By leaving her son behind to grow up into a resentful man, her grandson was abused by someone she neglected out of her single minded solutions. Due to All Might shouldering all he did, the world was suffering without him there to continue the work he left behind. The world wasn't as black and white as he once thought. It shamed him to the core that it took this long for him to start noticing all the gray he had ignored for the longest time.

Mirio gave the younger teen his best wishes with a hearty pat on the back. All Might could see why Nezu offered Togata as a potential candidate to inherit One for All, but the person who was more fitting for the power was already in possession of it. Perhaps Izuku will succeed where all his predecessors failed.

A Few Days Later

The weekend finally arrived for the entire student body. Many students who were living on campus were all waking up around the time that breakfast was being delivered to their dorms. An ensemble of toast with eggs, sausage, cobb salad, and fresh fruit for those who were already about to undergo their internships. Time was considered for how long of a meal period that many of the students were likely to have in comparison to the others.

In Tsuyu's room, Midoriya was snuggled up next to the room's owner while naked. Asui was only wearing a shirt with her ass cradling Izuku's awakening member. Izuku was already habitually an early riser and woke up before the crack of dawn. He felt Tsuyu's curves pressed up into him while he was slowly coming to, stimulating him with how soft her butt was against the semi-hard penis that had been inside of her repeatedly the previous night.

His internship was an early one, since Mirio was scheduled early to arrive at his agency as well. Izuku made sure to go to bed at an appropriate time so as to not affect his chances with Nighteye taking him under his wing. Tsuyu was a little sad about the shortened time for intimacy, but he made up for it with intensity and effort to give her as much fun in the hour or so they had with one another before bed.

Although he was trying to be gentle to not awake Asui, her natural finger strength already had a decent grip on the arm she was using as a pillow. There was no way for Midoriya to get his arm back without waking up his lover. Albeit with some reluctance, he gently woke up the frog girl to get his arm back.

"Tsu… Tsu? I gotta go. I need my arm back… Tsu?"

Rather than honoring his polite request, all she did was burrow herself even deeper into Izuku while pulling his arm into her. His dick was now at attention with Asui's scent now affecting his senses. As adorable it was to see her so reluctant to leave his warmth, he really did need to get ready for the day.

"Tsu. Tsu, seriously. I need to get rea-"

"Mmm, sfew mrrr mnts…"

She was too tired to even speak coherently. Another reason for her defiance was how good it felt to have her man's arousal pressed up against her rear end. The promise of intensity to compensate for time was delivered in full by Midoriya, but it still left her wanting in the morning after. There was some deceit used as Tsuyu kept up the too tired act for a little bit until she managed to trap Izuku's cock between her thighs while pressing him up against her wet pussy.

All Izuku could do was choke out his surprise while Tsuyu used his penis to masturbate while getting him far too excited to just leave the dorm room. Even the grip he originally meant to use to stop Tsuyu was betraying his initial intentions and was now setting the pace for Tsuyu to move up and down his shaft.

It took no time at all for him to completely give up resisting and just went for it. The sheets were tossed aside as he used Asui's shirt to bind her wrists when he pulled her up into his lap. He trapped her wrists while trapping her body against his while inserting himself into her with little difficulty. Months of practice gave him enough experience to insert himself without having to guide his tip into the girls anymore.

The agreed meetup time at the train station was still two or three hours away. Doing the math, Izuku figured that an extra forty five minutes would be enough to satisfy Asui enough to let him leave the bed. Turns out his guesses were starting to get more accurate the more he spent making sweet love to the others.

Later

Kaminari and Mineta were just arriving at the commons to see what was for breakfast. As usual, the smell of the food was like aromatic ecstasy. They were later arrivals, but there was still enough food to go around. Both of them grabbed some eggs, toast, and fruit before munching on their morning sustenance. One thing they were going to miss when they graduated were the meals that were leagues above anything else they couldn't get anywhere else but here.

They were eating in silence as Midoriya made his way to the breakfast table fully dressed in his school uniform and wearing what looked like rather expensive bracelets meant for men. As he was grabbing breakfast, the other two who were taking note of him noticed how much of a different person Izuku came off as since the first time they met him.

Most of the awkwardness that hung around the teenager was absent for the most part. He stood taller and had a calmer look on his face than before. His demeanor was overall more mature than it was at the beginning of the school year, though at the core he was the same Midoriya everyone knew.

He ate the breakfast quickly and was about to leave before Toru spotted Izuku putting away his dishes in the kitchen as she entered the commons. Before he could leave for his internship, she came up and kissed him deeply before bidding him farewell like a newlywed couple after the honeymoon. The two boys who were witnessing the open displays of affection were jealous, but Kaminari was more resignative in his spite since he just didn't want to deal with such intense emotions every time he saw the girls and Midoriya be all touchy feely with one another.

Izuku was off while Toru went ahead and got her breakfast. Others were coming down into the commons while Nakamura returned from his smoke break out back and welcomed the students. Everyone got their breakfast and were enjoying their first day off in a while. Haru was kind enough to requisition a set of consoles for each dorm to enjoy on their off time and encourage the students to spend time together with their other dorm members.

There was often the stray challenge from the other students sent to their dorm mother over a quick came of their choice. To this day, nobody has beaten Nakamura in any game that was played against him. A sort of pool began to grow online where a small amount of money from each student who wanted to participate in said challenge to beat Haru in any game possible.

This eventually led to a pool of a few hundred thousand yen that still didn't belong to anyone. Even when a group of students tried to gang up and split the winnings, he would always put them in their place. Kirishima, Tokoyami, and Denki were all beaten once again in a racing game that they all tried to work together on to slow down their mutual enemy. No such luck for them, unfortunately.

Bakugou and Shoto were passing by in their uniforms to attend their weekend classes for their provisional licenses. Haru checked up on Todoroki while the trio who failed to beat him in the racing game were now looking for a different game to try their luck with. Both teenagers were all set to go and left with Nakamura waving goodbye to them from the front gate while he had an unlit cigarette to smoke in his lips.

Katsuki knew why it was that Haru was being short with him. Watching him act familiar with Shoto to then give the blonde the professional treatment still stung like hell. All he could do was swallow his pride and acknowledge that he hurt his mentor enough to warrant the treatment until the man decided to give him another chance. For the first time in a long time, he needed to be patient and understanding while having no actual control of the current situation.

Unknown to Bakugou, Shoto could see how much his classmates' mistake had affected them. He also saw that the patience Bakugou was demonstrating was not an easy ordeal to deal with. Todoroki's respect grew for the explosion user as he gave Katsuki his space to think upon his actions.

After one lungful of nicotine, he spotted a student from the other dorm wandering to wherever they were going while looking rather haggard and worn down. He silently approached the student and tapped their shoulder. They didn't respond at first, so he gently grabbed their right shoulder to turn them around.

"Itsuka?"

"... Huh, wha…"

Kendo was a student that Haru respected as being a helping hand whenever he was stretched thin. Whatever work he needed done without him was usually forwarded to ESD staff to carry out; having a diligent figurehead like Itsuka seeing to her classmates was work that he never required, but respected for how dependable she was.

Something that concerned Nakamura over the past few weeks was the gradual decline of her appearance and school performance. She was still top of her class, though there were some things that should have been obvious to an ace student like Kendo that she was glossing over. As the acting dorm mother, Haru also reviewed his student's grades and schoolwork on top of his usual work. It wasn't that much of a burden since all his work was usually done within designated hours of the day.

Itsuka's schoolwork was still good, except for the blatant mistakes in leaving out obvious grammatical devices and punctuations. When he confronted the girl in private, it turns out that she was suffering from nightmares.

Memories of the night when she saw the masked man beating the villain's head to red paste were haunting her. The others in her dorm did notice her tired demeanor becoming more noticeable as time passed, with Setsuna even trying to talk to her without success. When Monoma started to show concern, everyone knew things were starting to decline for their big sister role model.

With the weekend now here, Haru knew that enough was enough and decided to address the issue. He didn't want to medicate the girl as the first option, though if it came to it he would choose that course of action with extreme caution.

"Where you off to, kiddo? It's the weekend."

It was then the disoriented student noticed she was in her school uniform while going to her homeroom without even realizing what day it was.

"... Oh, sorry. I'll just… Uh…"

A sigh left Haru as he pulled out his phone and dialed a number to speak to the UA administration office. He had an idea, but for now the first thing he needed to do was give the girl a clear schedule to recuperate herself with.

"Good morning, this is Nakamura Haru. I need you to clear Kendo Itsuka's schedule for the next week or so… Yes, she seems to be unwell and needs time to recuperate… Yes… No, that won't be necessary… Yes… Perfect, that sounds ideal… Alright, thank you."

Had Itsuka been coherent enough, she would have protested and attempted to argue the decision to bench her until further notice. Short term memory loss was a severe enough symptom for Haru to know she was far from healthy.

Another number was punched in before Itsuka could even realize what was going on. The number he was calling wasn't for any sort of formal institution, since he wanted to explore some options that didn't require professional impute. After a few moments the call connected.

"Hey, kiddo… No, no, nothing's wrong… Listen, you think you could meet me outside? I need a favor from you…"

Nighteye's Office

Togata pointed out the agency that he was apprenticing for after about twenty minutes of walking from the train station. Midoriya could feel a small knot forming in his stomach as he looked up at the towering office building. Mirio gave Izuku fair warning about how his mentor conducted themselves, which didn't seem necessary with how perceptive and accurate of a synopsis Izuku offered Togata.

It impressed the older student with how accurate the description of Nighteye was based on the fact that everything Izuku had on the hero was from interviews and articles. One would think that he was already serving under the hero in question for a few months already. There was something that he did want to disclose to Midoriya before they met with the former sidekick of All Might.

What Izuku wasn't able to analyze from Nighteye's public appearances was how he seemingly valued humor. When Togata recommended that he make his mentor laugh, it threw him for a loop at how bizarre of an ice breaker that request seemed to be. Working their way up the building, Mirio gave Izuku the breakdown of what was essentially going to happen after his introduction.

There wasn't much else that he could do beyond giving his introduction of Midoriya. Whatever came from Izuku would be the determining factor if he was able to follow through with the internship. All of this information gave Izuku the realization over what sort of person Mirio was at his core.

"Togata-san?"

"Hm, yes Izuku?"

"... Thank you. I couldn't do this without your help, so you have my gratitude."

Mirio was now even more sure that All Might found a good inheritor in Midoriya. On top of being perceptive, the boy was sincere and knew what to say when faced with certain situations. An honest thank you felt good to him as the two of them approached the office where Nighteye worked.

A Few Moments Earlier

Nighteye and his personal assistant, a hero known as bubble girl, were going over the information regarding the meetup between the League of Villains and the yakuza. Bubble Girl, who also went by Kaoruko Awata, read down the report given to the agency with details of the botched meetup that occurred at the abandoned metal plant.

Traces of blood along with the partially destroyed facility were indicative of a fight that broke out between the two factions. Nighteye then ominously stated how humor was a critical part of heroic work, which caused the blue skinned girl with the exposed midsection a reason to panic as she knew what he was about to do next. Her begging went unheeded as she was punished by her boss.

Present Time

Entering the room, Mirio gave a strong introduction of Izuku right as they passed the room's threshold. For how nervous Izuku felt as he entered the room, he was far more confused when he saw an incredibly attractive woman being tickle tortured with Nighteye overseeing the torment. Midoriya didn't know if he should have been scared or repulsed by what looked like a fetish play being acted out by the same hero he was seeking approval to learn under.

"GAHAHAHAHA! FOR-Forgive meeee!"

Hearing the door open caused Nighteye to eyeball the young Midoriya with his usual cold stare. Izuku could see that the man meant business despite the odd form of torture he subjected his employee to. What Mirio told him earlier was prominent in his mind as he tried to construct his introduction on the spot. His thought process gave him the idea to imitate All Might's face, but he couldn't determine if that would stick with the serious looking man staring him down.

After stopping his erratic thought process, Izuku took a moment to straighten himself out and recall something he was taught years ago by his currently estranged mentor. How the food truck owner was able to engage his customers so easily with just a glance of their appearance.

Years Ago

"Thank you, come again!"

"Absolutely! Thanks again!"

Izuku was almost a junior highschooler and was spending his last spring break before school started with Haru. There was a question on the forefront of the boy's mind about how it was that his long-time mentor was so socially adept to the point of making instant friends with everyone he met.

"H-Haru-san? Can I ask you something?"

"Hm? Yeah, sure. I don't see why not. Fire away, kiddo."

"... How do you talk to people? You make it look so easy, and I don't know how you do it… So…"

It was an innocent question that was likely just a curiosity that neggled Izuku into asking the man the secret to his social skills. Haru just told the boy that there was no big secret to the way he talked to people. All he did was pay attention and gave others a reason to talk about themselves.

People liked to talk about things they were passionate about, but they would only do so if you showed genuine interest in them as a person. What Haru did was simply pay attention to things like the way they dressed, acted, or talked to match the pacing of their side of the conversation. He explained how he asked poignant questions about topics the other person would find interesting with simple deduction used to construct said question. That was apparently just the tip of the iceberg since he also mentioned things that wouldn't interest him weren't glossed over or tolerated for their sake alone.

Finding a way to keep yourself a part of the conversation was another important part of the way he engaged people. In his eyes, he saw a conversation as a sort of short term relationship of sorts. Strangers share things about one another all the time as a way to see if getting to know the other person was worth any sort of effort.

All Haru did was make the person feel good about the time they invested by talking with him. Although Izuku was still partial to keeping to himself, he could see how people came to enjoy his mentor's company. Nakamura treated his customers well, and people gravitated to that.

Present Time

Finding his center once again, Izuku collected himself and introduced himself in a courteous manner.

"Good morning, sir. My name is Midoriya Izuku. I came to see you regarding my internship."

Off to the side, Mirio was retrieving Awata from the tickling machine and noticed how Izuku was playing it straight for now. Togata could see his teacher's behavior indicating that he was already turned off to the idea of taking Izuku under his wing. The older student hoped to god that his junior had something good in store for his teacher.

Meanwhile, Nighteye was genuinely curious as to what this boy had in store for him. A lack of humor in their introduction was already bothering the hero as Izuku scanned the room in an oddly calm demeanor. On every bookshelf and wall were all sorts of All Might memorabilia, some even having significant collector's value attached to them. As Izuku scanned the room, he pointed out one piece of merchandise that had great importance to the man.

"Wait, is that the tenth anniversary tapestry? That's beyond rare! How did you find it?"

"... Hmph. I did not purchase it, but was given it through my own connections."

"I see! Even then, it was probably almost impossible still."

From there, the conversation went incredibly well for Midoriya. Nighteye had even lost track of time and only realized that an hour went by when he checked his watch. His eyes widened after checking his watch after what he thought was only ten minutes. Mirio and Bubble girl had long left the two to their conversation over their mutual interest in All Might.

Looking back over to Izuku, there was something that he could see that genuinely made the man want to keep talking with the boy. A sort of warmth that gave him the impression that Izuku genuinely wanted to keep talking about their favorite hero. That characteristic was something that he highly valued in All Might. Now he was seeing that sort of inviting kindness start to blossom in this young teenage boy.

"... Your contract."

"Huh? Oh, right."

Nighteye seated himself at the desk with Izuku standing in front of him to offer his contract for an internship at his agency. Rather than immediately stamping the piece of paper, the stamp itself was placed next to the piece of paper, much to Midoriya's confusion. Leaving the stamp where it was, Nighteye stared down Izuku with his hands folded together while saying nothing. MIdoriya remained unmoving under the hero's intense stare as he was mulling over his thoughts on the boy.

"... To be perfectly honest, I had no intention of giving you this stamp of approval from the very beginning."

Before Izuku could even react, the hero clarified things for the applying intern about where he stood over giving Midoriya a shot.

"But it seems as though I'm having some second thoughts. I am not a man who makes his decisions carelessly, so understand this at least…"

He went on to explain that the agency he ran with just two sidekicks and an apprentice was already functioning just fine for his needs. The thing that he saw in Izuku after realizing how the boy conducted himself did leave him with some questions over rejecting him. What Nighteye wanted was to test the young inheritor for All Might was how adept Izuku was in a combat situation.

The stamp was plucked off the desk once more as Nighteye stood up to then walk to the center of the office. His challenge to Izuku was for him to snatch away the stamp currently in the man's possession. He was free to use whatever attacks at his disposal to retrieve the stamp from Nighteye's person while he would refrain from attacking the young teenage boy. As for the room, he gave Izuku free reign to destroy it as he saw fit.

"I won't need to."

At first Nighteye thought that perhaps Izuku was overconfident with his abilities. Taking a closer look, what he thought was cockiness was just confidence. It was small, but the same sort of feeling he had when he saw All Might smile was faintly there. This was him just trying to gain an understanding of All Might's selected inheritor. Now his curiosity was far stronger than it was earlier and prompted Nighteye's quirk to activate.

It was a company secret about what sort of power Nighteye possessed. The ability known as foresight was what Nighteye used as a hero in his present work. In order to activate the power, all he needed to do was touch the person he intended to read and make eye contact afterwards. What was kept secret about the quirk was the activation requirements. If word got around about his weakness of needing to touch a villain, his reputation would be affected with future work.

While using his power, he noticed something funny about the visions he was receiving about Izuku. How Nighteye received his visions was akin to remembering something in vivid detail. Like a memory about a specific day that returned in detail out of nowhere. Watching the memory back, the clarity of his visions were slightly off. He was still able to tell what it was that Izuku had planned to do next. The images looked to be obscured or broken up by… Something.

There was no time to deliberate the cause of this strange phenomenon as Izuku went for the stamp in his hand with blinding speed. Although he didn't look the part with his neatly pressed suit and styled hair; Nighteye was one hell of a fighter in his own right. He took the barely visible image of Izuku making his move and used it to move his hand out of the way of the boy's initial attempt.

For roughly half a minute, Izuku started to notice something about the way Nighteye was moving. The power of foresight was something that Izuku studied up on and knew about before he arrived at the office. It was clear that Nighteye had enough of a lead in time to see the attacks coming to read his attacks as they came. Coming to a full stop, Midoriya realized he needed to switch up his tactics if he wanted to have any chance of getting the stamp of approval.

All of his experience of fighting mixed with all the training he received gave him an acuity to think on his feet. There was no way he could get Nighteye to surrender the stamp without him actually grabbing the man's arm. He had enough of a reaction time to dodge all the jumping attacks, so bouncing around like Gran Torino would only serve to impede him. Nighteye could see Izuku suddenly square up into a side stance right in front of him. It took a second to decipher the vision, but by the time he did; it came to him a hair short of being too late.

Izuku forsook the jumping and went in for a straight one on one against the taller man. The stamp was no longer a concern for Nighteye as now he was just trying to keep himself on his feet with all the kicks and punches that were unloaded onto him. Midoriya had seemingly found a way to get to the hero by utilizing the one thing he had over the adult. Speed and power.

Although Midoriya didn't know when their thresholds would finally intersect with him matching and eventually surpassing Nighteye's speed, he just kept ramping up his power and focus to hound the man around the room. Even Nighteye was starting to realize that the boy had more experience with actual combat then he thought.

Eventually, Nighteye had to get serious as Izuku was starting to pick up the pace with his assault. Even if he could read the future, the man still needed to respond accordingly to avoid the attacks. There was far too much corrupted information for him to simply deflect or dodge the onslaught. He couldn't even react fast enough with his own speed now starting to lag behind Izuku's.

Meanwhile, Midoriya was keeping his eyes on Nighteye's hips as he kept attacking the hero. From what he could remember, the hips were the slowest part of the body to move around and react while the head was the fastest. His first goal was to break through the barrier that created the difference between their physical abilities while cutting out the usefulness of foresight's power. Trying to avoid twenty hits in the span of two seconds would be difficult to do, regardless if one could tell the future.

Nighteye was backed up into his desk and was now being pushed hard enough for him to start moving the desk. Izuku didn't let up on his increase of speed while Nighteye was starting to slow down. The hero was just barely able to dodge a few hits that came close to making contact with him. After almost two minutes of nonstop kicking and punching, Izuku was now just barely above the threshold where his speed now surpassed Nighteye's. It was a sliver of a window for him to land a solid enough blow to immobilize the hero enough to retrieve his goal.

Something had been going on in Nighteye's perspective for him to start losing his composure. Losing a battle of physical ability was per the course with someone who possessed One for All. The first thing that made Nighteye realize something was wrong was his vision of Izuku's future. What used to be slightly obscured images became completely undecipherable garbage at the most inopportune moment. All the footage of what was going to happen in the next few moments were suddenly unreadable.

Not only that, he saw something in Midoriya as he closed the gap at a window he created by using Nighteye's own deflection of his kick. Spinning on his palms, Izuku went for a solid strike at Nighteye's ribcage. Those split second moments before the hit connected were some of the most intense moments of the hero's life.

Earlier, Nighteye saw something akin to the greatest hope the world has known in its infancy with Midoriya. Now he saw something that was just the opposite. There was an intense focus that a predator stalking its prey would have right before it went for the kill. Never in his life would he have expected such an intense feeling from a highschool boy. It wasn't the feeling of evil or death he felt as Midoriya was going in for the first successful attempt he had in landing a strike on Nighteye.

There was no malice. No anger. No intention of doing harm. All he felt from Midoriya was the cold determination of kicking Nighteye in his ribs.

Izuku had suddenly been thrown back out of nowhere. The boy went for a bit of a tumble before coming to a stop against the opposite wall behind him. Not even Nighteye knew what had just happened. Looking down at his hand, he confirmed the reason why his right hand suddenly felt lighter than it had been just a moment ago. Without even thinking, he lost the stamp he had tried to keep away from Izuku.

Getting back up was Izuku after his abrupt interruption that had him closely acquainted with the floor. He coughed and wheezed to catch his breath as he stood back up. His eyes told Nighteye everything he needed to know. Midoriya raised his right hand and presented the stamp that had been used as a projectile by the hero testing him.

"Guess that makes me qualified, right?"

An alarm went off in Nighteye's wristwatch. Izuku completed the prerequisite of the test that the man put in front of the teenage boy. So much of his expectations were surpassed in such a short time that he felt a little speechless. Izuku immediately recognized the advantage he had over Nighteye and didn't hesitate to push up while exerting an extreme amount of power from One for All.

On top of that, the man broke a condition he set forth at the start while Izuku completed his own all at once. Whether or not Izuku planned this from the start was irrelevant since it was Midoriya's decision making that led him to this conclusion. Even Mirio demonstrated the same aptitude that he saw in the younger boy; but that took years of training, whereas Izuku was leagues ahead of the older student when Togata was a freshman.

At the end of it all, he genuinely laughed at himself for how silly he was for being so conceited against Midoriya. Even Izuku began to chuckle a bit with the bruise forming on his abdomen keeping his own laughter to a minimum. Hearing the sudden bout of laughter, Mirio and Kaoruko burst into the room to see their superior laughing with a hand over his forehead. Togata was rather overjoyed to see his mentor break out into laughter due to Izuku's efforts. He had no doubts that Midoriya could do it.

"It seems I need to apologize for how short sighted I've been with you and All Might."

Collecting himself, Nighteye approached the boy still on his knees to assist him in getting up off the floor. The contract was still sitting on the now tilted desk, ready and willing to accept the stamp he needed to accept his new internship role under his new teacher. With the stamp now clutched in his fingers, Izuku proudly gave the paper the final mark it needed for it to become the ticket to his true potential.

"All Might was someone of absolute strength that drove back villainy and evil wherever it was. What sort of symbol will you become, I wonder?"

Mirio was leaping for joy while Bubble girl was a little bitter over how easily Izuku won over the usually stoic Nighteye. After years of service, she still could barely manage to get the hero to crack a smile at times. Back within Nighteye's mind were a multitude of questions he had over the young Midoriya.

Who was this kid? How did All Might find him? What did he feel when Midoriya was about to go in for his first successful opening to attack? Who trained the boy in such a way that he moved like a battle hardened martial artist? Most importantly was the question that he didn't even know was possible to answer.

Why couldn't he see the future for that one moment in time?

While he should have been cautious, another emotion was far stronger. They say that curiosity often killed the cat; perhaps that's true, but the mystery in what this boy had in store for him was too great of a question for him to pass up on.
