Many years ago, the yakuza faced something that was close to being their exodus. Years of criminal involvement had rendered the once proud group of free spirited criminals into power hungry politicians eager to sell out to fill their personal quotas. All that remained of the criminal organization was a single office in the middle of a middle class neighborhood.
Chisaki was brought into the yakuza when he was nothing but a clueless child. The man who gave him the life he had in the organization was someone he saw as a father. What he did to that man was not something he did without his fair share of angst.
To create the world where the yakuza could once again be revered would take every bit of effort in every fiber of his being to achieve. All the warnings that the boss gave to him went unimpeded, though one warning suddenly re-emerged from the depths of Chisaki's memory. The boss begged the young man to heed the presence of a certain individual who would take judgment into their own hands if they ever found out about Chisaki's betrayal. All he got in return was a coma that was caused by the naive young yakuza member with delusions of grandeur.
Now that the country's most dangerous criminal was now narrowed in on the young man, there were some doubts starting to make themselves known. Bloodsoaked was nothing but a boogeyman that was used to cover up the hit jobs of less reputable organizations in Chisaki's eyes.
After patching himself up, the young yakuza boss couldn't help but think that this masked individual was that very same Bloodsoaked. All the blood dripping off of him certainly alluded to the fact.
There was no point in sitting in on the ceremony if that man was the one who was standing before Chisaki right then and there. Overload launched a wave of concrete spikes against the fabled murderer, only to then have them smashed into pieces as Bloodsoaked closed the distance. Fighting Mirio was a contest of who could outmaneuver who in a melee. Bloodsoaked didn't care for such things and just charged ahead like an unstoppable juggernaut.
Another wave of spikes were thrown at the rapidly approaching murderer. Those spikes hit nothing as they sprouted out to meet nothing but thin air. A natural function of human biology is something commonly known as tunnel vision. It's said that the more focused a person was, their focus would come to affect their periphery.
It took a second to realize that his target didn't disappear. He was up in the air and had Overhaul directly in his crosshairs.
Three shots hit Chisaki in his left hip and leg, along with his right shoulder. As someone from a lawless upbringing, the young man knew what it felt like to be shot. These bullets were so much worse than the few handgun bullets from several years ago.
Everything in the path of these bullets experienced an asinine amount of force behind each shot. The lethality could have killed a rhino, even if the horn got in the way of a headshot. For Overhaul, he could feel the damage and dreaded what would happen if the full amount of pain were to hit him. He had to backpedal and try to heal himself all while trying to fend off a legendary killer.
One hand slammed down on the bullet wound on his hip in order for him to heal the entire left leg itself. The leg was just about to finish reconstituting as Bloodsoaked landed on the ground and broke off into a low sprint. Chisaki had no way of properly defending himself the usual way, so he elected to try for a direct approach. His right hand swiped directly at where he thought Bloodsoaked's head would have been, but only managed to lose sight of the masked man once again. What alerted the young yakuza leader to where his opponent was came in the form of a violent shoulder check on his right that sent the young man careening towards the far off wall. All Overhaul could do was brace for impact against the concrete and slam hard enough to create a cloud of dust when he went through the thick slab.
During the one sided beating that Chisaki was receiving, Mirio was being attended to by an emotional Eri. His left leg had a nasty puncture wound in the calf while the spike in his right ribs just barely missed any organs. Had it hit his liver, he wouldn't even be able to move. Without showing concern for his own wounds, Lemillion did his best to comfort the child and look as unfazed as he could manage.
Eri knew that Togata was just putting on a front to help make her feel better. She never wanted anyone hurt over whatever this whole mess was about in the first place. This older teen had only the best of intentions and had even come close to dying to make sure she remained unharmed.
From Mirio's perspective, he did what he could to make sure that the girl was okay both physically and mentally. Sitting back up with Eri's help, both he and the girl could only look on in awe at how unfazed Bloodsoaked had been in the fight so far.
There was no sense of urgency as Bloodsoaked swapped out the emptied mag with a filled one. Placing the empty one back into his bag, he took one step at a time towards the recovering Overhaul. Chisaki stumbled out of the crater that was formed with his body with his body just healing from the damage he experienced.
If things were to go in his favor, the young yakuza leader needed to pull out all the stops immediately. Off to his right was the unconscious body of Chrono, his subordinate he had with him when he tried to escape earlier. It wasn't a perfect solution, but having someone like him help out in taking down a legend like Bloodsoaked was better than nothing. There was still a good amount of distance between him and the murderer, so he enacted his plan while he still had the space to do so.
Both hands slammed into the ground to summon a tidal wave of spikes to create a barrier for Overhaul to use as cover. He made sure that he lost all visuals of the killer before making a break for Chrono's body.
Chrono possessed a quirk that could help slow down Bloodsoaked if he could manage to land their attack. Worst case scenario, he was still a useful meat shield. Just as he was about to grab their head; the entire head blew up in a shower of gray, white, and red. It took a moment for Chisaki to recover from his shock enough for him to start looking for the possible cause of the merciless execution. Above him, in the forest of spines and concrete pikes, was the culprit.
Bloodsoaked had perched himself on a tree made out of the concrete spikes that were used against the masked killer in the first place. Looking on in disbelief, Chisaki could see that the man was still fairly centered where the thick of the spikes were. Based on where he found the shooter, it was very unlikely he dodged and returned to that spot when taking cover from the sides would have made more sense. A thought then came to Overhaul in a chilling revelation. Perhaps there was no attempt to move out of the way of the attack itself. The possibility that Bloodsoaked was fast enough to simply hitch a ride on his attack upwards for that vantage point felt like something that nobody should be capable of.
"No… NO! Why are you here?! This was to be MY fate! MY ambition! You have no ri-"
"How dare you speak to me like that…"
Fear was an emotion Chisaki never once felt in his entire life. That fact didn't change even after he started to take on more illicit activities. Death to him was just something that existed on the wayside of the road he walked in life. Being raised in horrible conditions as a young boy before he was adopted by the yakuza shaped him to be stoic in the face of danger.
What he felt from Bloodsoaked shook him to his core. All the muscles in his body refused to listen to him while the blood in his veins began to chill itself to almost minus degree temperatures. Breathing was practically impossible as the bloodied killer leaped down to make their way towards the petrified yakuza leader. Having a mask that shielded his expression didn't hide the pure wrath and disgust he had for the spoiled manchild that took matters into their incompitent hands.
"YOU were the one to put him in a coma. YOU tortured his granddaughter to start a drug trade that I would have no part in. And it was YOU who decided to chase your delusions, leaving a mess that I now have to clean up."
As involuntarily scared as he was, Chisaki's rage was helping in ebbing away the fear that gripped him so tightly. Bloodsoaked was still a few dozen meters away as he slowly approached Chisaki. The voice changer had an impressive amount of volume to it for Overhaul to hear the killer with such clarity.
"You're nothing but a little brat. A snot nosed little shit that goes kicking and screaming when they don't get their way. Someone as retarded as you would only make things worst or every single fucking person on this god forsaken rock we call earth. You should have died off when you still had the chance to do it painlessly."
Rage was making Chisaki insurmountably unstable. He didn't make his decisions lightly, and this man was treating him like a nuisance that he felt was below him to even acknowledge.
"Now, I'm gonna make this hurt. You'll suffer until I let you die. So be a good boy and take your punishment like a good doggy would."
The gun was taken back up and ready for the fight ahead. Overhaul finally snapped and lunged for the remaining body of his other subordinate. Their bodies blew up into a mass of blood and flesh before reconstituting into a new form. Standing where Chisaki had been was a four armed monster with a maw like a monster. He used the body of his unconscious underling to transform himself into the creature that was now out for blood.
"You dare call ME a dog?! You're nothing but a filthy piece of shit who showers in equally filthy blood! Nobody has the right to judge me, especially you!"
All four hands came down to touch the floor. Compared to before, there was a forest of concrete spikes that began to radiate out from the deranged mutant. Behind the curtain of spikes, Mirio saw a wave of death and destruction come directly for him and Eri. Even if he had his powers, that level of thorough devastation would be far too difficult for a child like Eri to avoid.
Out of desperation, Togata wrapped his arms around Eri while trying to keep his back towards the floor. At the very least there was some hope that he could at least shield the girl from the majority of the damage. Eri clenched her eyes shut and winced as the sounds of smashing rocks kept getting closer. A thunderous amount of smashing and explosive sound shook the two youngsters to their core. Then, by some miracle, the sound went right past them. After bracing themselves for a few moments, they realized that they were still relatively intact.
Opening her eyes, Eric carefully peeked through her eyelids to see a thick jungle of rocky spikes all around her. Scanning around revealed that it wasn't just a case of her and Lemillion being lucky.
Hunched over the young hero and child was no other than Bloodsoaked himself. Mirio opened his own eyes to see the masked murderer standing over him and Eri with his arms absolutely covered in concrete dust. Looking around, Togata saw that there were chunks of broken rock and rubble cleared out from where the kids were. Bloodsoaked had rescued Mirio and Eri by smashing the pillars of solid rock with his fists.
He dusted off his arms before leaving the children in the clearing that was made for them. Behind him, the little girl suddenly felt something she didn't know she could feel from such a scary looking man. A mouse riding in the mane of a lion can still feel fear of the larger predators, but in a way that recognizes a threat rather than being outright fearful for their life. From her perspective, all the things she was scared of just a moment ago suddenly didn't feel so scary anymore.
"Stay here. I'll take care of this."
More confused than ever was Mirio. The death and carnage he saw ad nauseam on his way to this level of the facility revealed an evil that he never once possible. Here the murderer was, now protecting both him and another child while fending off anything else that tried to harm them. Who this person was beyond his understanding.
On the other side of the forest, Overhaul heard something start to smash their way through the pillars he made. It was likely Bloodsoaked coming to return the sentiment that Chisaki gave to the serial murderer. Bursting from the edge of the cluster was Bloodsoaked with his gun aimed right at Overhaul's face. A spray of bullets punctured the arms that were used to block the incoming fire and buried themselves into Chisaki's left eye and chest.
He had to heal again while not losing his momentum in retaliating against Bloodsoaked. While patching himself out, Overhaul aimed his three free arms at the man now falling towards him. There was no way in Chisaki's mind that this guy would be able to dodge all three of his hands while in midair.
An assumption that was quickly disproved with Bloodsoaked pulling out his knife. The curved knife spun with a flourish with his index finger hooked into the ring on the hilt. Hooking the knife into the wrist of the first arm reaching for him, he buried the blade into the joint where he knew the friction would lock in the blade. He then torqued his body in a clockwise motion so that the arm was now starting to twist as well. Overhaul was forced to take a knee with Bloodsoaked now controlling the arm.
Now Chisaki was going to experience his next form of punishment. With the gun now hanging from his back with the shoulder strap, the free hand curled up into a fist and pounded the now vulnerable head mercilessly.
Every single punch rattled his brain like a raw egg inside of a glass jar. He was hitting the young yakuza hard enough to make a loud enough impact that Mirio and Eri could hear from where they were. Trying to resist only forced Bloodsoaked to wrench down harder on the arm he had his knife stuck into. Remaining in the position would end in his defeat, so Chisaki took a drastic measure in order to escape.
From the shoulder the extra arm was sprouting from, Overhaul detached the entrapped limb to free himself. Before he could get away, Bloodsoaked assisted the yakuza leader by kicking Chisaki in the head with the bottom of his foot. The distance he traveled was only limited by the space that was available. Had there not been a wall that Chisaki ran into, there could have been another few dozen meters or so. Bloodsoaked freed his knife from the dismembered limb and dropped it before sheathing his weapon.
Overhaul was now coming to the realization that even if he could recover from most of the damage he received, there was only more waiting for him. Being put into a compromising situation like this further angered the ambitious yakuza leader. All he could see was red as he stared down the man who was now standing patiently for Chisaki to stand back up. That act of mercy was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Not a single rational thought went through Chisaki's head as he charged like a bull straight towards Bloodsoaked. Taking aim, the masked killer continued on with the fight with every intention of making the young man suffer.

Neither Toga or Twice were able to believe what it was they were seeing. Only a single floor higher and the entire place was suddenly completely coated in human body parts and remains. Both of them were told the tale of how twisted a monster Bloodsoaked was, but they thought that their master was just relaying some old tales that were nothing more than exaggerations. Seeing his handiwork in person was something that couldn't be relayed in words for how awful it was.
Even Toga, who was a girl obsessed with blood, found herself getting nauseous at all the death that was left behind by Bloodsoaked. There were two or three heads still intact enough with their expressions twisted into contorted visages of their last moments in fear. The stench of shit and urine soured the air as not only did the yakuza defecate themselves; all of their organs were torn asunder and littered the floor in pieces.
He was here. A monster they couldn't fight against. They made their escape as quickly as possible to avoid facing off against the legendary serial murderer that even their master came to fear.

Off into the distance were the sounds of explosions and what sounded like gunfire. The heroes still traveling down into the lower levels picked up the pace with the officers sent to escort them providing the necessary buffer ahead to keep them safe. It didn't take long for the group to come face to face with a thick concrete wall that had all the commotion on the opposite side.
Midoriya could tell that something was happening on the other side of the wall that he needed to address urgently. Without a second thought, he leapt into action and smashed clean through the reformed concrete to gain entry into the sealed off room.
Inside of the room that Midoriya entered was a sight that he hadn't been expecting. Overhaul was fending off the one responsible for all the death that had occured up to this point. Rubble littered the entire area as Bloodsoaked started shooting the villainous character without mercy. Chisaki was desperately healing against the damage he was receiving while trying to kill the man responsible for it. While he was acting desperate to fend off the killer, Bloodsoaked easily unleashed his damage and brutalized the young man without hesitation.
Whether it was a ranged attack or close combat, there was nothing but a cornered animal gnashing its teeth in reaction to the unbelievable abuse it was going through. Another hard punch followed by a point blank firing of Bloodsoaked's unique looking gun was enough of an illustration to how little success Chisaki had in achieving any sort of leg up in the fight.
Off to the side, Izuku saw Mirio and Eri huddled up in a clearing that had rubble swept away from them. He didn't hesitate to use his quirk to boost his speed as he checked up on the two of them.
"Togata! Are you alright?!"
The young hero winced while trying to come off as his light natured self. All he could manage was a simple thumbs up while Eri was supporting his weight as he sat upright.
"C-couldn't… Couldn't be… Better…"
From what Izuku could tell, the amount of blood that Mirio lost wasn't a fatal amount. His injuries were probably not as severe as they looked, but that wasn't an excuse to simply leave him and Eri in the middle of an active battlefield. While trying to help Mirio up onto his shoulder, Chisaki saw the girl and Lemillion receive said help and launched another wave of spikes to stop the escape attempt.
Midoriya was too occupied with Mirio to use his quirk to stop the attack. Eri had already experienced this earlier and was much calmer than Izuku at the approaching attack. Before the spikes could even touch the young, Bloodsoaked appeared out of nowhere and smashed the concrete floor that the quirk was trying to use as munitions for its power. Chunks of the floor were sent flying away and stopped the attack with just a single kick by the masked killer.
Chisaki had tried that trick repeatedly and got nowhere near the kids with every attempt. After noticing the fixation that Bloodsoaked had in protecting the children, Overhaul attempted to take advantage of their presence as a way to find a window of opportunity to retaliate.
Each attempt was met with failure as Bloodsoaked had enough speed to stop the attacks while landing his own damage against the yakuza leader. If anything, each attempt to blindside the bloodied killer was met with some sort of painful consequence. From bullets to grenades, to physical brutality; there was no shortage of methods that Bloodsoaked had at his disposal to use against Overhaul.
Nighteye couldn't believe what it was he was seeing. Seeing someone so one sidedly beat Overhaul into a corner while defending two people was something to behold for the hero. Mirio and Eri were deposited to his care before the ESD made their assessments of their physical conditions. Feeling rather overwhelmed at how injured his student was, he couldn't fight the urge to embrace both youths and tell how proud he was of Mirio.
Now the next biggest threat aside from Overhaul was in front of the heroes. On top of being unable to find a window to enter the fray, the heroes were a bit caught off guard with what they just saw. All the death they witnessed was undoubtedly caused by this man, though his attempts to save Mirio and Eri along with Izuku didn't go unnoticed.
They couldn't make heads or tails of the current situation. While leaving with the hostage was tempting, the heroes felt compelled to act while they had the chance to apprehend Bloodsoaked. His rep sheet was longer than any other in history and he was already occupied with the fight against Chisaki. Many of the heroes were still in fighting condition, so this was perhaps the only chance they had in apprehending the serial murderer. An unspoken agreement reached all the heroes as the younger heroes were escorted away along with the hostage.
Izuku turned back around to see his teacher, along with the other heroes, start to make their way into the room with the ESD officers blocking him off from reentering the fray. He wanted to stop them as they all leapt into action and began to contest with the two combatants going head to head with one another.
Aizawa took the initiative and took on Chisaki with his scarfs acting as a restrictive obstacle for Overhaul to contest with. The other heroes who weren't following Eraser Head were tasked with trying to contest Bloodsoaked.
They had a serious misunderstanding with how dangerous of a situation this had been as Chisaki used his enhanced strength to yank Aizawa off his feet and send him flying into a bunch of pillars with enough force to crack the stone. His eyes were temporarily turned away, so the other heroes were defenseless against the attack launched against them by Chisaki.
Nighteye was a hero who was tasked with facing off against Bloodsoaked with the other half of heroes assisting him. Their target's speed was beyond anything he ever saw out of any human being, so trying to read his future was likely out of the question right out the gate. The next best thing was to use one of the other heroes to read the future enough to see where the killer's attention would likely be in reference to the reaction they had against him.
Reaching for Souleater, he touched the boy's shoulder and made eye contact with the young hero in training. However, what happened when he activated his quirk was something he never once experienced in his entire life.
A jumbled mess of light and colors overloaded his head enough to give the hero an excruciating headache. It was so painful, he involuntarily almost collapsed and had to be caught by the young man he tried to use as a reference point. Nobody knew what to make of it while they stood between Chisaki and their target. Even the officers were electing to remain at the entrance while the area inside was selected as the designated battlefield.
In reality, they were instructed by Nakamura through a private channel that they were to remain where they were with the excuse that the area was out of their jurisdiction. No civilian life was currently being threatened, so they had no reason to engage in such a precarious situation.
Meanwhile, Bloodsoaked didn't hesitate to use the brief distraction to go after his original target. The concrete spikes blocking him from Chisaki were smashed to bits from the base. One spike the size of a traffic cone was kicked hard enough into Overhaul to pin him to the wall before he could land a killing blow against Lockdown.
This fight brought Chisaki more pain than the entirety of his entire life combined in comparison. Getting impaled hurt like nothing else for the young man. Pulling himself out of this situation was no longer about his dreams, this was now about survival. Dying here would end his ambitions. If he were to die here and now, all his sacrifice would mean nothing. Now was the time to do something drastic.
Without concern for his own agony, Chisaki placed both hands against the stone wall and used the contact to launch a wave of spikes all over the room. The attack was sloppy, but accurate enough to make one hero react instantly. That hero was Nighteye as he briefly saw a still image in his mind with him impaled on a spike while Souleater was being thrown off to the side.
What most people didn't realize about Nighteye's quirk was how it functioned. Being able to see the future didn't necessarily mean he could change it. All the visions he received were inevitable by nature and had eventually come to pass regardless of his intervention. Though, recently his power was becoming increasingly unreliable.
At first it was a very subtle change in occasional circumstances. Certain events were subtly different in inconsequential ways that didn't truly affect the outcomes. After running into Izuku, that interference became so much stronger to the point of him having difficulty reading the future. Trying to read the future of Mirio's classmate completely overwhelmed him to the point of causing him physical pain with just trying to use the power gifted to him. A violent static that drilled into every sensitive nerve in his skull was all he could see when he tried to read Amajiki.
Through the white noise, he only managed to find one image in his vision. Nighteye didn't waste a moment in shoving the young man out of the way as a concrete spike impaled the man through the torso.
Souleater could only look on in horror as his best friend's teacher took a killing blow meant for Amajiki. It was such a shocking event for many people there while those still focused on what truly mattered at hand carried on without thinking about what the others were thinking. Chisaki used the momentary distraction to try and find a way out of the room. The only other person as focused as Overhaul then came in and kicked the yakuza leader hard enough in the torso to send them flying across the room. Their punishment didn't end there with the onslaught of gunfire that pierced and demolished the piece of wall that Overhaul collided with.
Nighteye was in critical condition with the concrete spike that pierced his torso and right shoulder. His arm was borderline amputated as several ESD officers came swooping in to retrieve the injured hero. As best as they could, they removed the hero while sawing off the obstruction to prevent further internal damage.
All Nighteye wanted to see after his sacrifice was a sign of hope. Something that would indicate that the future was still in good hands. Using his power, he looked to the future and dug deep to see what would happen past today.
Instead, something he couldn't expect occurred. A frame of a strange place crossed his mind. It happened so fast that he was unable to decipher what the image was exactly. It was only a flash, but he was suddenly overcome with emotions to see that place once again. What he saw was beyond his understanding, and it didn't matter to him since all visions he had of his own future were already cut off after today.
