Some Time Earlier

Heavy duty armored doors were blown off their hinges with some sort of explosion to allow Bloodsoaked into the hidden lab. Just as deafening as the blast were the individual footsteps taken by the person exiting the pitch black shadows. Dr. Garaki stumbled towards his computer to see if he could do anything against this murderous deity entering his secret research facility.

Checking on the Nomu in suspension revealed them to be available for activation. Initiating the activation procedure took the scientists only a few moments before he spun back around to stare down the man who still kept taking one leisurely step after another through the lab. From out behind a tank that possessed a Nomu floating in it, the one that Dr. Garaki truly feared from the pit of his soul, approached the doctor while dripping with the blood of the Nomu that failed to kill him.

Bloodsoaked came to claim his life.

Fear didn't keep the doctor from enacting the next part of his plan to take down the legendary murderer. Hysterical giggling escaped the paranoid doctor as Bloodsoaked kept slowly approaching.

"Haha, you monster! You think you can come in here and just do as you wish?!"

The question was left hanging in the air as Bloodsoaked passed another tank.

"You may have the others fooled, but I know what you are and aren't! One thing that I know to be impossible for even something like you, is this…"

Brandishing the remote, a single click of the switch then led to the black skinned Nomu in liquid suspension to shiver in place.

"Nobody is invincible…"

Smug satisfaction spread across the doctor's face as several Nomu smashed through their glass containers to come charging towards the one threatening their creator. Their speed had them upon Bloodsoaked in less than a half second. One Nomu had superior reach against its fellow brethren, so its hand had been the closest in the initial charge taken against its opponent.

Exploding where Bloodsoaked had stood just a moment ago, a giant cloud of dust accompanied by a shockwave that almost toppled over the doctor shook the entire underground space. Smaller chunks of concrete and metal sprayed all around Dr. Garaki as he waited for the cloud to settle to check if his Nomu did their job. Visibility began to return as the dust settled enough for visual confirmation to be made. What he saw when the cloud dissipated filled him with utter confusion and dread. Tears even leaked out from hit bugged out eyes with what he saw.

Standing where Bloodsoaked had been assaulted, one Nomu found itself helplessly slammed into the solid concrete floor hard enough for a crater a meter deep to form. Dr. Garaki could have sworn that there was more than just one Nomu about to attack Bloodsoaked. The other Nomu were nowhere to be seen.

What had actually happened was that the Nomu closest to Bloodsoaked had been the furthest to his left. It then found its arm caught in the bloodied man's grip. A grip strong enough to snap the bones in its wrist like cheap wooden chopsticks.

As it was swung over to be slammed into the floor, the other two Nomu attacking alongside it were swept out of the way with its body being the object used to send the others flying.

Taking the time to analyze the surroundings, Dr. Garaki found the other two Nomu slumping out of the holes in the walls they caused when they were sent flying.

Regenerating from their extensive injuries, the other two Nomu along with the doctor watched as Bloodsoaked crushed the regenerating bones in his grasp while the Nomu he almost killed started to sprout new legs. The other arm began to snap back into shape along with every other broken part of the body. This process was stopped dead in its tracks when Bloodsoaked then pointed his rifle down at the Nomu and pulled the trigger.

Rapid gunfire burst from the muzzle of the powerful weapon. Muzzle flare blinded the doctor enough to prevent him seeing what exactly was happening to his creation as it was torn apart by Bloodsoaked.

Only two seconds of constant automatic fire left a blown open corpse without any skin on its chest or face. Mashed viscera was all that remained of the rib cage and organs. Right as the Nomu tried to regenerate was when Bloodsoaked put an end to the creature.

One solid stomp of his right boot splattered the head of the Nomu across the floor. Being in a deep underground facility did little to reduce the shaking that erupted from the stomp that ended the Nomu permanently.

Grinding the flesh under his heel only illustrated how much wrath Bloodsoaked had reserved within him for this one special occasion. Even the other Nomu behind him were starting to shake involuntarily.

"For all the cocky shit you spew…"

His eyes through the mask petrified the doctor in place. He never knew such cruelty could exist in one single entity. So much hatred, all existing in this twisted man's soul.

"These things you bred are rather flimsy, don't you think?"

All the other Nomu went into action against Bloodsoaked after he delivered his scathing remark. Their programming forced them all to jump into action to protect the doctor. Launching attacks at Bloodsoaked turned the space into a maelstrom of deadly force, capable of ripping apart anything in its vicinity. More concrete cracked under the force of one Nomu's attack that launched a mass of fleshy tentacles from the back of its head. Striking Bloodsoaked with such a powerful move didn't even make the man tilt over as he remained standing. What did tear was the flesh that the Nomu launched against Bloodsoaked.

Blood poured freely onto the ground from the open knife wound that Bloodsoaked caused with one swipe of his curved knife. Both halves of the appendage crushed the ground surrounding Bloodsoaked without actually touching him. More crimson bodily fluids sprayed onto him while he stood directly in the split he caused in the Nomu's extended limb.

Retrieving its wounded tentacles wasn't as simple as just pulling them back into his body. Trying to do so only clued in the Nomu that its damaged appendages were now being trapped in the grasp of Bloodsoaked's arms.

Twisting his body with extreme force, the Nomu flew across the room before slamming into the other side and splattering into a red stain after colliding into the floor. Nothing remained of it after hitting the floor head first.

Letting go of the flesh he held onto then led into him noticing his left arm being caught in some sort of strange vortex.

"S-s-sit… Still!"

A Nomu used some sort of spatial ability to try and rip off one of Bloodsoaked's arms. It found it incredibly hard to close the space around the limb caught in the vortex. As time kept ticking on, the Nomu still struggled to sever Bloodsoaked's arm from the rest of their body.

With the same arm that the Nomu tried to rip off, Bloodsoaked leapt across the room and cocked it back to then splatter their gray matter onto the floor in a spray of flesh and blood.

Rising from the slumped position he took after killing another Nomu, Bloodsoaked emitted a bloodlust that even affected the remaining Nomu still trying to stop him.

He killed three Nomu back to back while taking no damage himself. Blood spilled from those very Nomu now dripped off of his figure as he now turned his attention to the other Nomu.

"... Next."

Becoming twisted mutants didn't make a difference in comparison to how monstrous this one person was. Somebody this so far gone from being associated with the term 'human' had no business even existing on the mortal plain.

This thing was a monster amongst monsters.

Present Time

Mirko couldn't believe how much destruction had been wrought with only one person being responsible.

Blood pooling all over the place all led to a trail of footsteps that led her straight towards the legend Bloodsoaked himself. Facing the man himself didn't fill the woman with the usual elation that she felt when facing off against a strong opponent. Looking at Bloodsoaked felt far too surreal for her to treat him as an opponent that she could take on here and now.

His mask turned to peek at the young woman that approached the man that just murdered the suspect who needed to be apprehended by the hero association. Malice unlike anything she knew in her entire life triggered an involuntary reaction from deep within the farthest reaches of her consciousness.

"Mirko?! What's wrong?!"

Endeavor suddenly teleported in front of the usually battle hungry hero. Scanning around, Mirko found herself back at the front entrance of the secret lab of Dr Garaki.

"Wh… How did… How did I get here?"

The other heroes all looked at one another in confusion before Endeavor disclosed with the bunny hybrid that she had been caught by him when she tried to sprint out of the next section that hadn't been explored by the heroes as of yet. It was only because of Endeavor that she didn't run out of the building entirely. Taking in all the information, Mirko found herself dumbfounded that she would act so cowardly without even realizing what had happened when she made the decision to do so.

Once she confirmed she was still able bodied enough for battle, the other heroes entered the bloodied lab to investigate what Bloodsoaked was up to.

More dead bodies and what remained of them stunk up the whole lab with the smell of oxidizing blood and flesh. In comparison to the stench of normal human bodies that Bloodsoaked left in his wake, the smell felt far more tolerable.

Arriving where Mirko found the legend himself, all the heroes were horrified to see what he had done. About to plop down the last of the devices in his possession was Bloodsoaked. Upon closer inspection; the heroes saw that what the man scattered across the room were bombs that all began to light up when he pressed down on the button his thumb naturally fell upon while gripping the detonator. The light emitting from the tank that held the unconscious form of Shigaraki Tomura illuminated Bloodsoaked as the sole watchdog that kept all others from approaching.

Right at the bomb in Bloodsoaked's hands hit the floor, Endeavor and Mirko launched themselves at the tank containing the young man they thought possessed nothing but the potential to end modern society.

They were immediately slammed back into the concrete floor with a violent blow that hit both of them hard enough to crack the floor on impact.

Returning to where they stood, Bloodsoaked stood back up from his crouched position as the heroes were struggling to find a way past the one protecting Shigaraki. There was a monitor that had a progression bar filling up on the screen nearby that a few heroes took notice of when Bloodsoaked slung the rifle he had in his right hand over their shoulder. Catching all the heroes present off guard was what the bloodied murderer did right after doing so.

Several bullets hit the tank behind him. He never had any intentions of protecting the process that Tomura had been undergoing. Those cracks formed by the bullets that punctured the tank spread out and shattered the glass holding Shigaraki in suspension.

Fluid from the tank spilled all over the floor. The one holding down the button to all the bombs lacing the room then let their thumb go off of the dead man's switch.

Beeping then started to cascade all around the room as the bombs were now armed to blow.

"Everyone, out! Go, go, go!"

Endeavor and Mirko assisted the heroes that were lagging behind the others as the heroes all started to evacuate the underground facility. Meanwhile, Bloodsoaked approached the unresponsive Tomura lying on the floor. He lifted the young man off the floor and looked at them with genuine sorrow over what he saw in the tortured Tenko. Evidence of traumatizing pain that Dr. Garaki subjected Tenko to were more than obvious to Bloodsoaked as he embraced the limp form of the boy he failed to protect. The bombs were still counting down all around them as Tomura began to complete his transformation.

?

Tomura didn't know where he was as the mental landscape looked like a chaotic storm. So much debris flew past him as he stood isolated in the destructive environment of his mind.

"Remember when daddy said all that stuff?"

Turning to the source of the childish voice, Shigaraki saw a representation of his sister standing on a floating piece of ground that started to reform itself into the childhood backyard where she stood before she died.

"I'm sorry for what I did. It was my fault after I said it needed to be a secret."

A pregnant pause from Tomura led him to respond while looking at his scarred hands.

"... I know. But still…"

"Tenko, do you still… Want to be a hero?"

More silence met the vision of his mother as Tenko thought about his answer before speaking.

"... I did, once…"

"Tenko!"

Behind him, a mirage of his abusive father emerged out of nowhere. A gargantuan hand emerged from the oversized avatar of the man that abused him from childhood.

"Did you go into my study?!"

Right as he reached out to touch the hand that almost enveloped him, a new figure appeared out of nowhere and swept away the figure of the abuser with a swipe of their right arm. Standing in front of Tenko was the only person who stood up for the boy no matter the circumstances. Who traversed hell and back to find the boy. Someone that never gave up on him, even in his darkest moments.

"... You okay, kiddo?"

Turning to him was the visage of the man who wanted to protect the child. The only person who wanted the boy to heal from what left them so broken.

"Tomura."

Ahead of the man who swept away the vision of his father, the one he knew as master called to the younger version of Shigaraki.

"Come to me, now."

There was an involuntary compulsion for him to follow the man that he called master for years. What startled the young Tenko was how the visage of the man who saved him suddenly embraced the child with one arm while swiping away whatever was behind Tenko with the other.

"You will not touch him. He will move on without the memory of you holding him back."

Shards of the memories that Tenko had of the people he once cherished fell into harmless fragments that the white haired man shielded the child from. Without the burdens of the memories, Tenko looked up at the memory of the one who wished to protect him as they returned the stare with a kind smile.

"You are capable of so much more. Don't be scared, because…"

Turning around and facing the image of his master, the image of Nakamura then faced the invader of Tenko's mind with the boy he wanted to protect behind him.

"I will be here for you. No matter what."

Dr. Garaki's Secret Lab

Eyes started to flutter open.

Seeing for the first time in such a long time made the light hurt as Tomura's eyes started to look around. First thing he saw was someone cradling him as he regained his senses. His eyes finally came into focus to see the face of the one he just saw in the dream he had before waking up.

"... Haru… san…"

"I'm here."

There was a sudden compulsion to then touch the ground. As he reached for the floor, Nakamura only looked into Shigaraki's eyes with that same love that he had for the boy many years ago.

He fought to be here for the young man. Whatever happened next, he would still be there.

"It's okay…"

He drew Tenko into his chest as the young man then started to disintegrate the entire environment. It was then that the bombs then went off all around both Nakamura and Tomura.

"I will never leave you behind, ever again."
