Hell.

This one word was the one descriptor that befit the experience of Izuku and Mina after their first training session.

Sweating their weight in fluids, Mina and Midoriya were left on the training floor to recuperate as their educators casually started to close up shop in the combat training area. Being left to their own devices put the entire scale of what they wanted to accomplish right in front of them.

In order for them to become the best they can be, nothing short of this sort of grueling and harsh training needed to be endured. They could certainly feel their doubts in the form of the deep aches and pains racking every square inch of their bodies. Thoughts of having to go through all this the next day actually scared Izuku a bit.

Hitting the showers was the first serious reprieve that both of them had for the entire day. Neither could muscle up the attempt to fool around while taking their showers together. In fact, they needed to help each other wash their backs since both Izuku and Mina were unable to reach their backs. Never in his ten months training on that beach did Izuku feel as awful as he did after only two days of training with Nakamura alone.

Forty five minutes went by before Mina and Izuku considered getting out of the steaming hot streams of water pelting down on their nearly broken bodies. Fatigue finally set in as these two went to go get ready for bed.

Izuku knelt down to tend to Mina's developing blisters with a medicated ointment and bandage tape found in the excessively well stocked first aid kit. It was easily found with large labels on everything inside of the cabinet, making the search for something to help out Mina a breeze.

Now dressed in their sleep wear, Izuku wrapped up Mina's feet in the tape and let the solution work its magic. All that was left was for Mina to do the same for Izuku and his blisters. Draining them first with the disposable needle first, the medicine already helped to ease the burning sensation quite a bit through the punctures made.

Arriving back at the living quarters, Mina went to grab something in the fridge for both herself and Izuku to munch on before dinner. Both of them were so physically drained during their training that the supplement bars given to them were barely kept down with a generous amount of sports drinks and water. Had they eaten a proper meal, they would have thrown them back up for certain.

"Oh, hey! Glad to still see you amongst the land of the living."

Peeking his head out from behind the open fridge door was none other than Hawk himself. Mina instinctively leapt behind Izuku to shield herself from the man who smacked at her with padded gloved for hours on end.

"Ha, probably deserved that. Anyways, why don't I make you two something before we get to supper? You two must be famished."

No offense had been taken with Mina's defensive behavior. He knew well enough what he did to deserve such treatment from the teenage girl. Wanting to eat something in his room while he went over the documents he requested regarding some rather touchy material; Keigo had been craving some fruit to carry him until the evening. Taking a good look at the well stocked options, he was feeling for a smoothie rather than just straight fruit instead.

That was when he noticed that Izuku and Mina finally made it back to the living quarters.

Izuku actually had to wrap his arms around Mina like a defensive house cat that had found something to hiss at. Shuffling them both back to the couch, their room suddenly had Toga pop out of it with her usual cheerful grin stretched across her face. She stealthily kissed Mina and Izuku on the cheek before skipping to the kitchen, where Keigo was finally topping off the blender filled with all sorts of fruits and greens for the teens.

"Whatcha makin?"

"Hm? Oh, nothing. Some fruit smoothies. Want one? It's got spinach in it."

Usually an unappetizing ingredient for something meant to be sweet, Toga actually happily asked for a cup of the concoction. The young man then placed his right hand on top of the kitchen appliance before starting his blending process.

A few short pulses of the blender soon started to become longer presses, until the desired consistency was reached for Hawk to simply hold down the button to smooth out the entire refreshment. In no time at all was a refreshing drink served in four glasses with a sprig of Mint that he garnished each glass with. It made the teens curious when he slightly crushed the leaves with his thumb against his palm.

Four glasses of the dark green blend were served to the room for everyone to indulge themselves in. To their surprise, Mina commented for herself and Izuku over the pleasantly refreshing sensation that the drink gave them.

His response was to simply refer to the mint that helped to create an aroma that wasn't cloyingly sweet. The taste benefitted from having a lighter scent replace the scent of mixed fruit and veggies.

Conversation started up naturally as Mina started to share things about herself to introduce herself to the room. Although not mentioning it, this was also her attempt to share more about herself with a recently acquainted Himiko as well. Sharing her personal life with people who were genuinely interested in learning more about the teenage girl lifted the pinkette's spirits a little.

"So yeah, that's why I renamed my dog after that. She's seriously almost too much to handle, literally. I can't imagine how she'll be when she's older and still spoiled like a puppy."

Both Toga and Hawk were thoroughly happy to hear such a light hearted story from the girl. Keigo asked an innocent question regarding something he felt curious about.

"Didn't that confuse the dog? Considering you started calling them with a different name altogether…"

Much to her embarrassment, this did lead the dog on an early identity crisis as Mina started to reprogram the juvenile pit bull to their new name. Some hilarious scenarios of the dog looking around like a maniac were actually saved on the teen's phone, which Toga graciously retrieved for the physically recovering teen. Unlocking the device revealed a few videos of the spastic dog looking around periodically as it came to a stop after running in a tight circle no wider than a meter.

Sipping on his drink had been the greatest regret Keigo made when watching the footage. What he almost choked on all came out of his nose. It didn't help that the smoothie looked like a deep green goo out of visual context. Himiko openly laughed at her adoptive brother as he went to go clean himself off at the kitchen sink. Tears leaked out the corner of her eyes as the older sibling took the ribbing in good nature before returning to the couches with a towel rubbing his face dry.

The dog was an idiot in the most loveable way possible. This caused the oldest of the group to lose his shit as he involuntarily laughter at the stupid antics of a girl and her dog trying to overcome an identity crisis.

Conversation went on long enough for Nakamura to return to the living quarters with the announcement of the time that dinner would be served. Hawk stood to assist his father in the kitchen for dinner without a second's pause to do so. Skirting around each other with practiced ease, Haru and Hawk casually conversed about mundane events in their lives while assembling dinner.

Things like hero work and something about a girl the young man had interest in we're just a few of the many subjects they conversed about while preparing a sumptuous meal for the guests within their home

Less than four minutes passed before the kitchen fell into its paces with two men effortlessly creating a full course meal for those intended to be fed that evening.

Watching these two casually converse with so many spinning plates occurring all around them felt even more entertaining than some cooking shows that Mina felt partial to from the past. Not once did the father and son duo break their rhythm with any sort of mistake.

Comparing his own experiences in the kitchen with Haru, Midoriya felt all the more ashamed that Nakamura had to come to the teenager's aid to prevent the teen from making a mistake or from harming themself. What these two had looked like art in comparison to his bumbling attempts to earn money from his employer.

"Okay, come to the table. Dinner is finally ready."

Dishes of steaming hot cooking were delivered by the armful by Haru, while Hawk used his feathers to transport his share of the responsibility.

On the table that rose out of the concrete floor, a quick wipe down by Toga let the adults place the dinner down for all to enjoy. The theme of the meal that evening translated to the rich tastes of Mediterranean. Savory greens with carefully selected fish all produced a medley of seaside cuisine that not even the pickiest of eaters were capable of walking away from. Shellfish stewed within complex seasonings with fish still crackling with the heat of the stove filled the space with decadent smells nobody could resist.

Being drawn to the table were the most eager to take part in such a meal. Ashido and Izuku almost forgot to say grace as they couldn't fight their instincts to fill themselves with the feast right in front of them.

With their prayers finally being offered, the starving teens had their fill of the meal that would help restore their stamina while providing necessary nutrition to assist the healing process from within their own bodies.

Thirty Five Minutes Later

Achieving full satisfaction through their meal didn't render the almost comatose teens from trying to help Keigo clean up the dinner table. He simply told the youths to just go to bed as he cleared the table of all the empty dishes left behind. Toga assisted her older brother by gently ushering the exhausted teens back to her room. Not much effort was needed to tuck the two younger teens back into bed. They were out like a light the instant they felt the soft sheets underneath them.

Coming to Keigo's assistance, the adoptive siblings finished up their cleaning duties before seating themselves on the couches to enjoy some simple television before their own bedtimes.

Some sort of cooking competition show had both siblings heavily criticizing the techniques used by the amateurish chefs competing for their prize. Spotting all the errors made by these supposed expert chefs was one of the many pastimes these two engaged in on their off time with one another.

Time kept on marching as these two started to watch other programs with one another. Around eleven, Keigo could hear his sister softly breathe while falling asleep right next to him. He easily plucked her up to return the younger sibling to her bedroom. Entering the room, Hawk took a moment to just take in the sight of two cocoons that sat upon the bed that belonged to Toga. It would seem that she took her job of tucking in the others rather seriously.

After some wrestling with the sheets, all three teens were all comfortably snuggled up with one another. Their sleeping vintages felt comforting to the young adult as he committed the sight to memory. Hawk left the youth to their rest with the impending challenges ahead of them.

None of the naive souls resting peacefully were aware of the chaos that surrounded them in reality. Toga had probably the worst trail of destruction in her wake after what Haru did to save the teen.

The footage that he saw from his father's body cam during that bloodied battle against the Liberation Armystill sat prominently within his mind. Watching his dad work real time reminded the young hero that there were darker corners of society that many were unwilling to even acknowledge.

Several Months Ago

Standing in stunned silence was Chitose. Her entire attack force stood in fear of this one man standing in front of them.

A few of the elderly members of the Liberation Army were actually dropping to the floor after being unable to endure the sheer terror that assaulted them as Bloodsoaked simply stood there. Nothing else could be done as the masked killer took the initiative to strike first. Walking up to a young man who held a quirk enhancing device, the slightly bloodied killer reached for the top of their head. With a single motion, Bloodsoaked rendered an entire human being into nothing but a bloodstain on the asphalt by crushing them underneath his open palm.

Gore flew out in a violent spray when the army member was murdered. This one kill acted as the catalyst that kicked off a volatile reaction from within the Liberation army forces.

Acting by instinct were the other army members trying to bring down the killer of one of their own. Their fruitless sacrifice only cemented how helpless they were in the face of such unstoppable evil.

One swing of his arm ripped out a significant amount of flesh from the torsos of those trying to attack Bloodsoaked. Registering the damage consciously only rendered those who were hit by the attack dead the instant that the knowledge hit them. Blood showered down on Bloodsoaked as he turned his attention back to the woman who hurt Toga out of her own agenda.

"Kill him!"

Her orders couldn't have been more clear. By instinct, the Liberation Army members trained to obey all assaulted Bloodsoaked with the intentions of killing him.

His death wasn't of any concern that day.

Being surrounded by so many combatants didn't evoke a visible response from the masked serial murderer as they all closed in on him. Right as Chitose thought her victory had been nothing but guaranteed, another phenomenon beyond her immediate understanding left the woman speechless.

It felt as though she simply blinked and missed everything that just transpired. The remains of her attack force were still raining down everywhere as Bloodsoaked still remained untouched right in front of her.

Again, everybody that stood all around the masked man felt their instincts conflict with their conscious efforts to move from where they stood. In less than a second; the Liberation Army soldiers who tried to attack Bloodsoaked were now liquid chunks falling from the sky.

Panic ensued as Bloodsoaked started to take one deliberate step at a time towards the liberation leader. She commanded people to stop him, only for the man who she wanted dead to render those trying to kill him into meat scraps. More and more death kept piling up with every life naive enough to think they could kill this living embodiment of slaughter. Now the kills were looking more gruesome with every member of the Liberation Army that fell to Bloodsoaked.

One young woman had her throat savagely ripped out before three more members were shot dead by the high powered firearm in Bloodsoaked's possession. Crimson painted all the walls and floor as the dead littered the streets ad nauseoum.

Years of being a famous published had Chitose familiar with all sorts of older literature. The most infamous of the works she read had been none other than the holy bible.

In the book of Exodus were the tales of the miracles that Moses performed to free the Israelites from the grips of the pharaoh. One miracle had the disciple approach the rivers of Egypt with the wooden rod as their only tool to complete their task. An apocalyptic event that rendered the rivers useless replaced the waters of the once great rivers of the Nile become deadly currents of blood that killed all the natural life that existed in the water.

Blood raining down from the sky; seeing this man walk unimpeded as more liberation members kept dying at his hands only created more raw fear deep within Chitose.

Death didn't touch this man. Not because it feared him; but because this man had the reaper on a leash as its master. It dared not bite the hand of its unquestionable master.

Her desperate escape attempt left so many clueless liberation members to their deaths. Leaving those under her command to combat the embodiment of insatiable rage left the woman stumbling through the remaining crowd of increasingly clueless Liberation Army members. The further she went, the less people knew why their esteemed leader had been running from the fight ahead of them.

Behind Chitose were the death cries of those she abandoned to their death. Unknown to even her; an elderly army member had their head crushed under Bloodsoaked's boot as he simply kept walking unimpeded.

Fear infected every fiber of the ambitious woman's being. Meeting her end at the hands of this murderer wasn't how she wanted her legacy to be remembered by.

Not because he was a monster. Her reasoning fell upon the logic that being another forgettable name in his uncountable kills would leave Chitose as nothing but forgotten. Her ambition turned her into a coward in the face of her possible end.

Out of her blind fear, she left so many to suffer their end at the hands of Bloodsoaked.

Bodies were nothing more than leaking chunks of wet meat that littered the path of the infamous killer. Blindly loyal Liberation Army members kept throwing themselves to their deaths while said cause of their deaths provided the worst possible version of said death.

This wasn't anything like hunting down Himiko Toga. While the teenage girl tried to maneuver all around the field of battle, Bloodsoaked never deviated from his straight path towards Chitose.

Even being assaulted by multiple members all at once didn't prove any more effective against the killer. In a cruel twist of irony, those who were trying to kill Bloodsoaked were themselves painted in the blood of their fallen comrades. A nonstop downpour of crimson pelted the area as Bloodsoaked continued to advance through the city.

More members charged in with their weapons charged at the masked murderer.

Meeting her end at the hands of such a terrible monster only fueled the woman's desire to escape. Desperation to survive drove Chitose to abandon all her previous logic in trying to devise a plan to get herself out of trouble.

Behind her were the sounds of nameless soldiers sacrificing themselves to the cause that the Liberation Army executives manipulated the masses into believing.

Blind loyalty drove the masses into protecting their precious leader. Their sacrifices were all in vain as the evidence of their fallen comrades painted the city with their failure. In a gruesome illustration of one killer's action, buildings were continuously painted in red with every body that fell at the hands of Bloodsoaked.

Kills ranged from single strikes that caved in heads to sadistic acts of violence that had people torn in half while still completely conscious. Death didn't give a shit about who it claimed; all it did was mark the end of life that had met their mortal end.

Given the losses of lives in her escape, Chitose rationalized her calloused decision with the amount of human suffering that she perceived as she tried to evade her death.

The world had a funny way of balancing itself in light of such decisions made by those who inhabit it.

Years of being a social elite based off of her natural talents had Chitose complacent in her position in life. Building her reputation took precedent in her life when she joined the Liberation Army and their cause.

This monster fell upon beyond logic too far gone for her to understand. Nobody had the right to be so unstoppable in the face of their enemies.

Before she could make her escape, two corpses landed ahead of Chitose. She was forced to come to a stop at the sudden obstruction of her escape route. Catching her breath, she saw something in one of the mouths of the corpses that landed in front of her. At the same time she realized the bodies were thrown to her with grenades in their jaws, two explosions powerful enough to clear out a radius of about thirty meters of all life pushed the woman back as she fell on her backside.

Painful ringing pierced her skull after such a powerful blast. Her eyes also needed a few seconds to readjust with the shockwave rattling the softer bits of her body, which included her brain and optical nerves. Recuperating enough to see straight again only exposed the carnage of dead left behind by the explosion.

Like a scene out of a horror movie, dead bodies torn apart by shrapnel littered the environment around her.

Disfigured cadavers all looked mangled by wild animals after they were taken by the blast. Horrified by the death in front of her, the sounds of panic clued the rattled woman of the source of such death approaching from behind her.

No matter how many people threw themselves at Bloodsoaked, the results were all the same. I numbers as high as forty tried to take on the unstoppable murderer all at once. Their efforts only resulted in more dead bodies as he ripped everyone apart who approached him. Shooting, cutting, punching, kicking, striking, blowing up; it didn't matter how they died, everyone was dying en masse with no way of stopping it.

Fifteen Liberation Army members all attacked at once from all angles imaginable. Three were even popping out from the ground to kill the psychopath wiping them out by the handful.

Blood burst out of the new bullet holes and knife wounds that penetrated over half of the attacking soldiers while the others were forced to meet their end with more sadistic methods from their quarry. Bloodsoaked simply ripped at whoever felt confident enough to get too close to him with his arms.

Sickening sounds of death continued unimpeded as the Liberation Army threw more of their numbers at the killer. One young woman no older than nineteen had Bloodsoaked's arm go straight through her abdomen while he then started to use her dying body as a human shield from the additional ranged attacks coming his way. He didn't need to use such a tactic against such underwhelming attacks; what he wanted from this was to illustrate how fucked these naive rebellion members were in the face of his judgment.

A scarce number of Liberation Army members found themselves terrified beyond imagination. In a moment of fight or flight, these members chose to try and escape with their lives. Seeing such a hopeless fight caused their instincts to push their needs to live over the supposed cause they pledged their lives to. Not even this would be accepted by the one clearing out all the lives on this battlefield.

Making their exit, these escaping army members had their heads blown off by a metal projectile from out of nowhere. Tracing the origins of said projectile would reveal that Bloodsoaked shot at these fleeing members through whatever obstacles that stood between him and his targets.

Those who were here as Liberation members were already dead in Bloodsoaked's eyes. Killing them now was out of his selfish need to work out his current anger issues.

Eighteen Minutes Later

All of Chitose's forces were all dead. Bloodsoaked went as far as ignoring the woman as he kept slaughtering people charging at him in droves.

Crimson painted all the walls, floor, as well as herself after the chaos finally died down with those who were trying to save Chitose. Seated on a few bodies when she fell over earlier was the catatonic leader of these rebel combatants. Nothing could have prepared her for the absolute hell she laid her eyes upon now.

In front of the woman was a sight that could only be described as biblical.

Within a small clearing in the middle of the numerous dead bodies stood Bloodsoaked. His entire body dripped with fresh human blood as he placed one last bullet in a body that still hadn't been properly dispatched in the chaos.

Not even the devil would come after this soulif they were to pass away. Something this unnatural would even scare those of divinity from ever approaching this monster.

Returning his attention to the terrified Chitose, Bloodsoaked approached her with his footsteps splashing and crunching through the copious amounts of blood and broken bones lying in his wake.

She actually pissed herself in terror of this entity of death approaching her. Fear paralyzed the woman as she could only stare up at the monster now standing over her. Natural fear kept the woman immobilized as the infamous Bloodsoaked reached out to grab Chitose from where she sat.
