Almost three weeks of the constant torture that was their training left the young couple desperate for some sort of reprieve.

Merciless sessions day in and day out beat the two young teenagers past their known limits of endurance. Although they were brought to the brink of giving up, neither Mina nor Izuku resigned their positions in Nakamura's harsh training program.

Awaking to another day of expected torment, Midoriya gingerly checked up on his calloused wounds to see if they would need to be redressed before training started. Mina also received his inspection to see if she too needed redressing of her injuries. It seemed that their callouses finally were durable enough to continue without the need of dressing, much to their relief.

Dressing themselves in their athletic wear, the two borderline narcoleptic teens exited their bedroom in anticipation of the next training session Haru had planned for them. Rather than the usual dismissive exit they usually got in the past, the white haired adult actually looked to be waiting for the both of them as he sipped his coffee and read the newspaper in front of him. A rather low tech way of absorbing the news after what they saw the older man's home had been equipped with.

"Morning. Eat up and we'll go to see your new costumes."

Already set on the table was a large plate of broiled lamb that evoked the appetites of the two teenagers. Days of intense muscle fatigue caused their craving for protein to skyrocket.

Mina actually had slimmed a little with her muscles becoming a bit more defined. Seemed at though the teen wasn't as diligent in her physical routines as she said she had been. Izuku actually had seen some decent progress in producing more definition in his body after only about two weeks of training.

Had Mina felt ever more slightly energetic than she did for the past two weeks, both she and him would have spent over thirty six hours in the bed with the young woman having her fill of her man's developing sex icon of a body.

Izuku had the larger of the appetites that cleared the plates in front of the young junior heroes. Ashido had less nutritional desperation to compensate for since Nakamura had been pushing the teenage boy further than Mina in the exercise portions of training.

When it came to the pinkette, Haru worked with the young woman to figure out how she could utilize her natural talents further. This had Mina more focused in more technical aspects of her abilities while Nakamura focused on reprogramming certain learned functions that Izuku developed with all the fighting he's already gone through. They both endured so much during these sessions that no doubts were even able to show themselves regarding which of of them went through more over the other.

What they saw from the other person through their training had looked difficult beyond reasoning.

With that, the two physically drained teens ate their meal in silence and cleared the table before finally realizing what Haru had said at the very beginning. About to round the kitchen countertop, both Izuku and Mina raced to the adult still reading his newspaper with only one question on both their minds.

"NEW COSTUMES?!"

"NEW COSTUMES?!"

"Oy, don't yell! I'm right here."

Backing off while apologizing, their suspicions were confirmed as Haru elaborated further on what he said.

"Yeah, your new costumes. I know someone who works on custom suits with some pretty serious tech, so I reached out to them and gave them your measurements with UA to build you two new equipment."

Another set of questions erupted in the minds of the teens, which Nakamura only put a hand up to in response to them about to launch said questions at the ma without thinking. They were reminded of one of the conditions of their training regarding their mysterious teacher. No questions regarding what they saw of his personal life.

Picking up his still half full cup of coffee, Haru and the other teens all loaded into the elevator to check out the new costumes promised by the young heroes' teacher.

Arriving at the new floor, Izuku and Mina looked all around the floor to see…

Nothing.

Disappointing themselves with what they thought had been their teacher's treasure room of strange artifacts, the two young heroes pulled their attention back to the two mannequins stood in the empty medium sized room. On the two modeling figures were the new hero costumes specifically tailored to Mina and Izuku. Neither youths could deny the excitement they felt as they rushed up to take in their new set of advanced armor for all their future hero work.

Both the suits were beyond the expectations of the young couple. These suits were both unfamiliar and incredible looking in the eyes of Mina and Midoriya.

With questions about their new equipment, Nakamura disclosed everything the teens needed to know about their new costumes. Izuku's costume had some serious reworks regarding the previous version of said combat wear.

His newly equipped alloy weave armor that covered a majority of his arms provided new levels of mobility and protection. The most significant improvement to their capabilities were those of the defensive kind. Nakamura produced a steel bat from an unidentifiable corner of the room before striking the armor with a decent amount of force. To prove that it wasn't a fluke, the metallic weave sleeve was removed before Haru just half heartedly hit the arm of the mannequin. It cracked and fell off like the fragile plaster it had been made of.

Taking the tech that made up Izuku's full gauntlet even further, these sleeves would absorb the excess force that would try and damage his arms if her were to exceed his threshold by a reasonable amount without issue. With Mina's suit, the request he had for the girl seemed to put the capabilities of her costume to the test.

"Use your strongest acid."

Hesitation kept her from blasting away at the mannequin that modeled her new hero costume. Amongst other reason; her biggest hang up was about ruining the new outfit before she even had a chance to try it out. Understanding the teen's gripes had Nakamura shoo the teenage boy closer to the wall the elevator occupied before he put on a hazard mask to shield his face from the volatile acid he had tucked away where he hid the solid steel bat.

Disclosing that the acid in the jar he possessed was certainly more powerful than the acid Mina could produce at the moment, a slight trickle of the liquid fell upon the costume before Haru quickly resealed the jar.

Thinking it to be a ploy, all doubts that this was just an inflation of expectations were put to rest when a few lingering drops that tricked off the boots of Mina's costume started to easily cut through the concrete it dripped down onto. Being allowed to oxidize and absorb moisture should have neutralized any other powerful acid enough to prevent such a violent reaction.

It would seem that this didn't apply to this specific substance.

Demonstrating her suit's ability to resist chemical reactions, Haru told the teen that her suit also possessed a solid amount of defensive capabilities on top of being fashionable.

She did appreciate the tasteful dark scarlet that her new costume looked to be made of. The long sleeves had the shoulders exposed to allow the girl some breathable space for her skin. Her suit had Ashido's hands free with some fabric overlapping the back of her hands, which were considered in opposition to what Mina needed for her to use her acid.

Taking a sturdy looking metal spike to the costume revealed that the suit's fibers were made to be able to prevent any sort of projectile or attack reach the young woman with little difficulty. Realizing her suit only allowed the minimum amount of exposure while not hindering Mina already looked to be much more favorable over her previous gripes about the amount of coverage.

While Izuku saw his current costume as rather impressive already, Mina commented that the hood along with the mask that covered her entire head would feel too restrictive. With that complaint, Nakamura pulled down the hood to reveal that the mask had a detachable top, goggles, and mask that she could choose to equip by the simplest of manners.

Having more aesthetic choices greatly appeased the fickle girl over her aesthetic options. It also helped that her mask had a design reminiscent of the aliens from her favorite movie series.

Left to change into their costumes, the teens opened the elevator Haru stepped into to allow the teens their privacy. Standing in front of the doors let Nakamura see the newly minted junior heroes in all their new glory.

He already felt an immense amount of pride to see his disciples in their upgraded suits. Mina had this deep red suit with a new set of headgear that better allowed the teen more protection while striking fear into her opponents. Izuku, on the other hand, looked to be a completely new person in his costume.

Armored legs along with his new alloy weave gloves that went all the way up to the midpoint of his biceps made the young man look all the more formidable against those intent on taking the young hero on in combat.

"... Can't say I'm surprised to see you two so befitting of such costumes right out the gate."

Despite the days of hardship he put them through recently; Haru's words of encouragement reignited their motivation to become better heroes.

Now that their new costumes were in order, their first real challenge now laid itself out in front of them. This marked their first step in taking on actual villains.

One Week Later

Seven days were allowed for the two young heroes to just recover. Nakamura gave these two the strict order to do nothing but recover for a week before their next assignment.

Sleep took up seventy percent of their time after such a torturous month of physical training. While awake, the appetites of the teens had them scarfing down the meals placed in front of them. Unintentionally, Mina then gained more curves in all the right places in light of her recovering body's attempt to repair itself. A weary subtle amount of volume had been added to the right places on her frame after enduring such an ordeal; which Izuku also benefitted from alongside Mina.

Muscle framed a more developed Izuku by the smallest of adjustments, though still noticeable for those paying attention.

More durable muscle grew from all the constant training and dietary treatment from Nakamura's regiment. Though something else also came into play when these teens started their intensive training.

Unknown to the young heroes were the nanoscopic devices helping their development and growth. No amount of natural training could have compensated the amount of harsh treatment these two needed to go through in such a short amount of time.

Monitoring their conditions needed the constant attention of Nakamura and several other medical specialists working around the clock to monitor the physical conditions of Mina and Izuku.

Whatever work the nanites did were only to help the recovery process from their difficult training. Progress normally needing a year dropped that time down to two or three months due to the tech running through the veins of the young heroes benefitting from such advancements.

Had he allowed for these two to train without these enhancements; they would have been dead at the two week mark of their training. Literally.

Being allowed to go out for their first serious assignment, the eager youths took off out of Haru's van with a flame in their souls that threatened to blow up into an inferno. Calling the two over their earpieces helped reign them in enough to remember their first actual mission for their return to the field. Local rumors pointed out a group of hoodlums that were making the neighborhood uncomfortable. Another unknown fact for the two young teens under Nakamura's tutelage was how he exactly came across this information.

His network revealed a newly assembled group of criminals with dangerous abilities for the small community they terrorized. Throwing two naive teens he cared about to these risks would normally never fly with Haru. These two juveniles were anything but naive.

In less than half an hour, eight local small time criminals that were strewn about a three kilometer diameter area were left bound up for local police and ESD for pickup.

With just one opportunity to exercise their chops, Izuku and Ashido realized how much of an impact their training had on their abilities. They felt only a fraction of their normal fatigue after such an intense manhunt for multiple criminals.

All Haru's treatments did was assist in recovery. These two were only benefitting from an accelerated training regiment that they would have met with more time available. Time that nobody here could afford to waste.

Present Time

Scouting out the city, Midoriya reported his findings through the earpiece after finding nothing over a three hour patrol.

Responding to Izuku, Mina told the other the same thing. It seemed that people were less hung ho about vigilante justice after realizing the ESD weren't the allies they thought they were. Upholding the law never took into account personal feeling for those who enforced such things.

Hey, you're not in the clear yet. I shouldn't have to remind you of the situation you're in.

Another harsh reminder that nobody else but the young Midoriya could consciously hear. From within One for All was his second teacher, guiding the teen through the mastery of their quirk given to the young teen through One for All.

Much of the other inheritors were usually criticizing the harsh mentor of his callous language and direct comments at how Midoriya mismanaged his abilities. What kept them all silent from the uninvited inheritor was none other than their own understanding of the quirks inside of One for All that exceeded even the original inheritor's understanding of said abilities.

Black Whip actually saw greater growth from a few lines of criticism from the stranger than all the time the sixth inheritor had with the young Midoriya. Tutelage to reduce the size of Black Whip didn't originate from the original owner of the quirk. It felt as though the inheritor himself had discovered something new about the quirk when the mysterious entity started instructing the newest inheritor. Focuses on manipulating the length of Black Whip at different intervals of length left the original quirk user completely silent in the corner as his understanding of his own born abilities were lacking in comparison to this recent addition of an inheritor. Someone who was even newer than the kid he was trying to teach.

Dealing with this strange presence, the other inheritors were still struggling to understand the agenda this odd presence stood to gain in teaching Midoriya.

A Few Weeks Ago

From within One for All, the few times Izuku had been summoned to the space had him arrive at the place of residence of the shadow inside of the quirk. None of the other inheritors had been banned from entering the home of this stranger; it just unsettled them to an uncomfortable amount to remain more than a few moments inside of the place that escaped their understanding of what One for All was capable of doing.

His interactions with this shadowy figure outlasted the time the other inheritors had with the young Izuku collectively. Even when they offered their points of advice; whatever Izuku said to improve their own perceived mastery of their own quirks had the inheritors experimenting with their own quirks to realize Midoriya/s advice actually had a good amount of validity in its wisdom.

Years of being inside of this place left the others with some sense of seniority to the newcomer wh had been treading on their tailcoats. Nana had been the one to be sent in to confront the newest inheritor on her own.

Her insistence left her as the only person willing to confront the shade inside of the quirk her immortal soul resided within. Against the better judgment of her other peers, the woman entered the lavish space that the shadow of One for All lived inside of.

Closing her eyes to then be teleported to a clean white hallway with black marble floors left the woman a little disoriented. Collecting herself, Nana entered through the large ebony double doors to arrive in what looked to be a library. She didn't expect such a change in scenery as she could hear the sounds of heavy downpour rattle against the ceiling windows.

"I was wondering when one of you would bother showing yourselves."

Seated on an armchair in front of the grand fireplace at the head of the library was none other than the entity Nana wanted to speak to.

"Please, have a seat."

Caution took over Nana as she took no chances in the invitation of this stranger. Her patient host went three minutes while she sluggishly approached the chair opposite to them in front of the fireplace.

Unprompted, the sudden appearance of a side table with what looked to be English tea left the female hero confused as the blacked out figure poured the steaming hot beverage for both himself and Nana. Seeing the cup of hot tea being offered to her left the woman utterly confused to why this entity even bothered.

Years of being nothing but a memory had Nana realize that everything inside of this strange place could only be experienced as a memory. A distance memory that could only be felt as reminiscent thoughts when experienced in such a place as this.

Thinking that the personality didn't know any better, she took the cup of hot tea out of politeness. Sipping at the porcelain cup had Nana drop the cup of piping hot liquid immediately. The shade easily caught the spilled cup while scooping up all the spilled tea midair, leaving none of the tea he shared spilled as the shocked woman covered her mouth at the realization of what she felt.

That was no memory. She felt the heat of hot tea hit her tongue when she took a sip. Lingering tastes of finely harvested leaves lingered on her tongue as the pain subsided from her unprepared attempt to si- the tea offered to her.

"Careful. This tea would cost fifteen grand in the UK for how rare it is."

It then dawned on the inheritor how real everything felt in the place the mysterious figure took up residence inside of One for All. Smells along with the subtle sensations of touch she once thought to be long gone made Nana feel more alive than anything since her imprisonment within One for All.

Gingerly taking the cup of still hot tea from the blacked out figure, she remembered what it took to drink out of a hot beverage as she savored the taste of real tea after what felt like a lifetime of sense deprivation.

Rich aroma accompanied by the warm complex bitterness of the beverage created such a complex slew of emotions that the one who offered the drink to her allowed the woman her first reintroduction into what it meant to be alive.

"I had this tea so long ago. Yet I can still have it here in this place like it never changed from back then."

His own sip of the tea brought a different set of emotions from Nana's. Only by reading the room did the woman feel the subtle winds of sadness that couldn't be detected with the lack of visual evidence alone.

"Enough of the bullshit; I know why you're here, Nana."

Leaving his cup on the side table, the blacked out visage of the mystery inheritor leaned back in their fine leather chair to start getting down to brass taxes.

"I know you and the others don't trust me. I don't give a shit about you or the others. What matters is something you all choose to ignore for this shitty dick measuring contest you all want me to take a part of."

Such a pragmatic mind within One for All had Nana, a hero, a bit speechless at the cold hearted sentiment that this one personality shared with her. It wasn't as though they were villainesque; this sort of thinking only came from those who naturally grew into such lines of thought.

"All of you failed your mission, yet two of you still want the kid to 'prove himself' for the abilities that could assist Izuku in his fight. None of you matter to me. I'll help Midoriya no matter the circumstances. At this point, the rest of you are nothing but a liability to his chances of succeeding where you all failed."

Standing from his own chair, Nana watched the cold hearted shadow walk away and towards the opposite door from where she entered the expansive library. Their figure disappeared behind the ebony double doors while Nana still remained where she sat. Although her heart felt like lead, the tea she had still been allowed to drink to its last drop helped ease the woman's angst in light of the harsh truth she had been forced to face as of recent.
