At North Avenue Beach, as the cars parked and the group climbed out, they found the shoreline surprisingly quiet with very few people scattered across the sand.

"Huh. Figured more people would be here," Rosie remarked with bewilderment, glancing around at the nearly empty beach.

Mike shrugged, grabbing a couple of towels from the backseat. "Maybe we got lucky. More space for us."

Angela smiled as she took in the peaceful scene. "I'm not complaining. It's like we've got the place to ourselves."

David stretched and looked out at the calm water. "Perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon."

With help from Manny, Gypsy, and Rosie for Mike and Angela, and Slim, Francis, and Heimlich for David and Lily, they all gathered their beach gear from the trunks of their cars. Towels, umbrellas, coolers, and sand toys for Emily were in hand as they headed toward the shoreline, looking for the perfect spot to settle down.

Mike and David each locked up the Armada and Charger, joining the others as they strolled along the sand. The soft breeze off Lake Michigan carried the smell of the water, and the group could already feel the relaxing vibes setting in.

"This is gonna be a good day," Mike said, adjusting his sunglasses.

"Sure is," Angela agreed, slipping her sunglasses on and adjusting her beach bag on her shoulder. "It's so peaceful out here."

David glanced ahead, spotting a perfect spot near the water. "How about we set up over there? Looks close enough to the water but not too crowded."

Lily nodded, smiling. "That's perfect for Emily to play."

As they approached the spot, the group started laying down towels and setting up umbrellas. Francis struggled with the umbrella pole, grumbling under his breath, while Heimlich and Slim tried to help.

"This thing's harder than it looks!" Francis muttered.

"Just keep at it, man!" Mike said with a laugh, shaking his head.

Lily took off Emily's dress, setting it aside before removing her own shirt. Mike, Angela, and David followed suit, pulling off their aloha shirts as the group prepared for the sun.

"Alright, sunscreen time," Mike said, pulling out a bottle of spray sunscreen.

Lily knelt beside Emily, spraying a light mist over her skin, making sure to cover every spot. "Hold still, sweetie," she said as Emily giggled, squirming a bit.

Angela sprayed her arms and legs, passing the bottle to Mike. "Better safe than sunburned," she remarked.

David, already halfway through spraying his back, chuckled. "Especially if we're gonna be out here all day."

The group worked quickly, ensuring everyone was covered and ready to soak up the sun without worry.

After everyone was coated, the 4 humans settled into their beach chairs alongside Gypsy and Manny. Gypsy, Lily, and Angela rested their arms behind their heads, placing one leg over the other, enjoying the warmth of the sun.

"Perfect way to relax," Lily said, tilting her head back and soaking in the rays.

Angela nodded, her sunglasses glinting in the sunlight. "I could get used to this."

Mike leaned back in his chair, watching the gentle waves. "This is exactly what we needed."

Manny smiled, enjoying the serene atmosphere. "Good vibes all around."

The sound of laughter and splashing water filled the air as the beach slowly came to life, but their little corner remained a tranquil escape.

"I gotta ask, why do you humans wear swimsuits at places like the pool or here?" Gypsy asked with curiosity, her head tilted in thought.

"It's all about resistance," Lily began, adjusting her sunglasses. "We're more aerodynamic, or I guess you'd say 'hydrodynamic,' in water with less fabric getting in the way."

Angela chimed in with a smile. "And, of course, there's the whole modesty thing. Can't exactly walk around naked."

Gypsy chuckled. "Fair enough. I just wondered—bugs don't exactly have that problem."

"Lucky you," Mike teased. "Swim trunks can be a hassle sometimes."

"I guess we bugs are better off with what you humans call being naked," Manny quipped, a sly smile on his face.

That prompted a burst of laughter from everyone, with Mike shaking his head. "Yeah, I'd say you've got us beat there."

Gypsy chuckled. "No need for all the extra layers, that's for sure."

Lily smiled, leaning back in her chair. "Well, you guys have the freedom, we've got the sunscreen and swimwear. It's a balance."

"Just another day at the beach," David added, grinning.

Mike glanced at Angela and smiled. "You know, you give me a nice view of your stomach every time you sit and/or pose like that."

Angela chuckled, lifting her sunglasses slightly to meet her fiancé's gaze. "Oh, do I now? Glad you're enjoying the view," she teased, giving her stomach a playful pat before relaxing back into her chair.

"I definitely am," Mike added with a grin, shifting in his seat to get comfortable.

30 minutes later, Gypsy dug into David's bag and pulled out the ball, excitement lighting up her face.

"Let's go play!" the moth announced, tossing the ball into the air.

Mike and Angela quickly set up the net nearby, ready for a game. "Who's in for some beach volleyball?" Mike called out, grinning as he adjusted the net's height.

"I'm game!" David replied, stepping forward with enthusiasm.

Lily nodded, eager to join in. "Count me in too! Emily can be our cheerleader."

Gypsy bounced on her feet. "Alright, let's show you how it's done!"

With the other bugs joining in, except for Dim, Emily, Tuck, and Roll, the teams quickly formed. Mike, Angela, Manny, Gypsy, Heimlich, and Rosie lined up on one side, while David, Lily, Slim, and Francis took the opposite.

"This is gonna be fun," Francis said with a smirk, stretching his arms.

"Don't underestimate us," Gypsy replied with a playful grin, ready to serve.

Heimlich looked determined. "Let's show them what we've got!"

Emily clapped excitedly from the sidelines, cheering them on. "Go, Mommy! Go, Daddy!"

Tuck and Roll, sitting with her, chattered in their own language, equally excited but clearly more interested in watching the action than joining in. Dim, content and relaxed, stayed near the umbrellas, enjoying the calm atmosphere away from the competition.

One hit after another, the ball sailed back and forth across the net. Mike leapt up, sending a spike toward David's team, but Slim managed to deflect it just in time.

"Nice save!" Lily cheered, bumping the ball to Francis, who hit it back over the net.

Rosie positioned herself perfectly, sending the ball flying back with a clean hit. "You guys are going down!"

Heimlich tried to catch it, but missed by a fraction, tumbling into the sand. "Oops, maybe I need to be lighter for this game!" he joked, laughing.

The game picked up pace, with each team fighting to keep the ball in the air. Manny made a sharp serve, sending it straight over the net, and David dove to keep it from hitting the sand.

"Awesome dive!" David called out, quickly setting the ball back up for Francis to return.

Gypsy darted to the side, just in time to pop the ball back over. "Not today!" she teased, her wings fluttering slightly with the effort.

Mike smirked, stepping forward to intercept the next shot. "Watch this!" He spiked the ball hard, sending it flying toward David's team.

Slim stretched out, his long body bending to try and block the spike, but it slipped through his grasp and hit the sand.

"Point for us!" Angela cheered, raising her arms in victory as Mike high-fived her.

David laughed, dusting sand off his hands. "Alright, alright, that was a good one. But we're just getting started."

The friendly competition raged on, the sun shining down as the two teams fought for the win, all in good spirits.

After about an hour and a half of intense play, Gypsy let out a tired puff and collapsed onto her back in the sand as she panted panted heavily "I'm...done," she said, laughing between breaths.

Manny, equally worn out, went down on one knee beside her, wiping sweat from his brow. "I haven't felt this tired since...well, never."

Mike chuckled, bending over to catch his breath. "Gotta admit, that was a solid game. We really went all out."

Angela flopped down next to Gypsy, smiling up at the sky. "We sure did...I'm gonna feel this tomorrow."

David, still standing but clearly winded, grinned. "You guys put up a good fight, as always. Call it a draw?"

Lily laughed, sitting down beside him. "A draw sounds fair—no point in pushing our luck."

Emily giggled from the sidelines, running up to them. "You all looked so funny!"

"At least someone had energy," Rosie said, shaking her head with a grin.

Mike chuckled, then suddenly scooped his fiancee up in a bridal-style carry, causing her to exclaim with surprise.

"Mike!" she laughed, her arms wrapping around his neck. "You could've warned me!"

He grinned mischievously. "Where's the fun in that?"

Angela giggled, leaning into him. "You always know how to catch me off guard."

As Mike spun her around once, the others laughed, watching the playful moment between the couple.

Everyone then walked toward the shoreline, with Mike still carrying Angela as they approached the water's edge. The gentle waves lapped at their feet, and laughter filled the air as they splashed through the shallow surf.

"Are you ready for this?" Mike teased, wading deeper into the water.

Angela squealed playfully, looking back at the others. "No! Don't you dare drop me!"

"I promise I won't!" he replied, grinning. As he stepped into the deeper area, the water lapped around his waist, making Angela giggle nervously.

The rest of the group followed, splashing and playfully shoving each other as they entered the refreshing water.

"Come on in, it's great!" Lily called out to Gypsy and Manny, who were still hanging back at the edge.

With a nod of encouragement from Gypsy, they finally joined the others, laughter ringing out as they all enjoyed the warm sun and cool water together.

Mike and Angela drifted a little further into the deeper water, Mike still holding her securely.

"You know, I could get used to this," Angela said, resting her head on his shoulder as the water gently rocked them.

"Carrying you into every beach we visit?" Mike teased, his grip still firm but tender.

Angela smiled. "Maybe... Or just being here with you."

Mike grinned, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "I could get used to that too."

With the water surrounding them and the sun setting just behind, the moment felt serene, as if they had the whole beach to themselves.

The two humans then pressed their lips onto each other, the cool water gently rippling around them as they shared a soft kiss. The sounds of the beach seemed to fade for a moment, leaving just the two of them in their own little world.

When they finally pulled back, Angela smiled, her cheeks slightly flushed. "This is perfect," she whispered, gazing into her fiancé's eyes.

Mike grinned, brushing a strand of wet hair from her face. "It really is."

They lingered there for a few more moments, simply enjoying the closeness as the sun began to dip lower on the horizon.

Meanwhile, on the shoreline, Lily had her arms wrapped around David's shoulders, holding him close as they stood in the shallows, the others preoccupied with their own fun.

"You know," Lily began, her voice soft and teasing, "you're even more handsome when you're shirtless and wet. Then again, you're always handsome."

David smirked, sliding his hands around her waist. "And with that bikini, I can say the same. Even your hair looks perfect, wet or dry."

Lily laughed softly, leaning her forehead against his. "I guess we make a pretty good pair, huh?"

"No arguments here," David replied, his tone warm as they stood together, the waves gently rolling in around them.

Both of them gently kissed each other, their lips meeting softly as the water lapped at their feet. The world seemed to quiet around them, the sound of the ocean and the distant laughter of their friends becoming a soft backdrop to their moment.

When they pulled back, Lily smiled, her fingers brushing through David's damp hair. "I could stay here like this forever."

David grinned, his hands still resting on her waist. "Wouldn't mind that at all."

They stood together, close and content, savoring the peacefulness of the beach as the sun started its slow descent, casting a golden glow over the scene.

After a while, everyone returned to their spots, settling into their chairs and towels. Mike, Angela, David, Lily, Gypsy, and Manny found their chairs, while Slim, Francis, Rosie, and Heimlich spread out on their towels. Emily continued to play in the sand with Tuck and Roll, giggling as they built a miniature sandcastle.

Angela sat comfortably in Mike's lap, resting her head against his chest, feeling his steady heartbeat beneath her. Mike slowly stroked his hand over her belly, a tender gesture that brought a soft smile to her face.

"Enjoying the beach?" he asked quietly, looking down at her.

"Absolutely," she replied, closing her eyes for a moment. "It's perfect."

Manny glanced over, chuckling. "Looks like someone's in their own little world over there."

"Can you blame them?" Gypsy chimed in, nudging Manny playfully. "Love is in the air… or maybe just in the water!"

Everyone laughed, the warmth of the sun and the camaraderie of friends creating a perfect atmosphere as they relaxed and enjoyed the rest of the day.

"We taking the food via drive-thru and eating at the hotel, or eating inside?" Slim asked, shifting on his towel.

"I'm thinking about driving through a fast-food place and eating later after me and Angela's 'bedtime,' if you know what I mean," Mike quipped, making air quotes as he shot a teasing smile at Angela.

Angela laughed, a playful blush creeping onto her cheeks. "You're incorrigible!"

David leaned closer to Lily, his tone turning mischievous. "So, are we planning for our own 'bedtime' as well?"

Lily smirked back, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Maybe, if you play your cards right."

The playful banter continued as they lounged in their chairs, soaking in the sun and the carefree atmosphere. Emily was still happily building her sandcastle nearby, unaware of the adults' cheeky conversation.

"I could really use this kind of relaxation every day," Angela said, leaning back and looking up at Mike, her smile softening.

"Me too," Mike replied, his voice low as he leaned closer. "Especially if it means we get to share moments like this."

As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the beach, Mike and Angela exchanged lingering glances, the playful energy around them shifting into something more intimate, charged with the anticipation of the evening ahead.

Later, everyone stood up and packed their beach gear as Lily helped Emily slip her dress back on. She and the other three humans remained in their swimsuits, the warm sun still kissing their skin. Mike and Angela each had Tuck and Roll perched on their shoulders, their laughter mixing with the sounds of the beach as they made their way back to the cars.

"How's Five Guys sound?" David suggested, glancing back at the group with a hopeful smile.

"Five Guys? What's that? And what do they have?" Heimlich asked, his curiosity piqued as he looked around at the others.

"It's a burger joint," Lily explained, her excitement evident. "They have the best burgers and fries! You can customize everything with tons of toppings."

"Plus, their fries are incredible—double-fried and usually served in a huge portion," Mike added, giving Tuck a gentle bounce on his shoulder.

Manny nodded appreciatively. "Now that sounds worth checking out."

"Can't go wrong with a good burger," Gypsy chimed in, flapping her wings in anticipation. "Count me in!"

"I'm always in for food," Slim said with a grin, dusting off the sand from his towel.

As they reached the cars, the group's spirits were high, anticipation building for the meal ahead. David opened the door to the Charger and glanced back at everyone. "Alright, let's get to it then! Burgers await!"

With laughter and light-hearted chatter, they piled into the cars, ready for the next adventure.

After ordering their food, back in the hotel room hallway, everyone received their respective meals.

"You guys go on and eat. Angela and I need some alone time," Mike said with a playful grin.

"Us too," David agreed, nodding toward Lily as they headed into their room.

Inside Mike and Angela's room, they placed their food and drinks on the nightstand and settled onto the bed.

"Now then... let's make out," Angela said, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she leaned closer.

Mike chuckled softly, his heart racing. "I thought you'd never ask." He closed the distance between them, capturing her lips with his, their laughter melting into a passionate kiss.

Angela stroked the muscles on Mike's stomach, her fingers tracing the contours as she leaned in closer. Mike gently rubbed her belly, his touch tender and affectionate, deepening the connection between them.

Their kisses grew more passionate, and the world outside faded away, leaving just the two of them wrapped in each other's warmth.

Mike then gently stroked a finger on Angela's navel, causing her to let out a shaky moan. Their lips slightly opened as their tongues began to explore each other's mouths slowly, the kiss deepening with every passing moment. The intimacy between them intensified, filled with warmth and desire, as they lost themselves in each other's embrace.

Meanwhile, Lily and David settled onto the bed after setting their food and drinks down.

"At least this'll kill some time while the food cools," David remarked, a playful grin on his face.

Lily wrapped her arms around her boyfriend, looking into his eyes. "Kiss me, hon."

David obliged, leaning in to capture her lips with his, their kiss soft and warm. The moment stretched on, filled with affection, as they melted into each other, savoring the closeness.

Lily traced her hand on David's stomach, creating lazy patterns as she felt the warmth of his skin beneath her fingers. He mirrored her movements, gently rubbing her belly, his touch tender and intimate.

Their connection deepened in the quiet moment, both lost in the soothing rhythm of their caresses, enjoying the peacefulness that surrounded them.
David's other hand interlocked with Lily's hair, gently threading his fingers through the soft strands while the other finger rested on her belly button. He traced small circles around it, a playful smile spreading across his face as he watched her react to his touch.

Lily's breath hitched slightly with a moan, and she leaned into him, reveling in the intimate moment they were sharing. The room felt warm and cozy, filled with a sense of comfort and connection between them.

As the moments melted into each other, Mike and Angela, along with David and Lily, lost track of time in their respective rooms. The world outside faded away, leaving only the warmth of their connections. They shared deep kisses and intimate touches, fully immersed in the intimacy of their love.

Minutes turned into an hour as they reveled in each other's presence, enjoying the simplicity of just being together. The room was filled with soft sighs and moans and tender gestures, a perfect blend of passion and affection. Each couple cherished the special moments they created, knowing that these little escapes from the outside world were what made their relationships so meaningful.

Finally, the soft glow of the setting sun cast a warm light through the windows, reminding them that the food would soon be waiting. Yet, they lingered a little longer, wanting to savor every heartbeat and every gentle caress before reality called them back, knowing that these cherished moments would linger in their hearts long after the evening ended.
