Guildmastersden and then .com

Intel on the incident occurring where Bloodsoaked had been engaged lacked any concrete information regarding his current condition. All the panic coming through the comms only indicated that the heroes were in desperate need of backup, despite the constant stream of backup coming to their aid. Nothing about this situation felt controllable to the heroes. In some way, they severely underestimated their own capabilities against their opponent. Naivety got in the way of what they should have recognized as a threat far more dangerous than what their expectations put their chances of success at.

Mina and Ochaco were put on the same team under the command of Midnight. Their teacher had her squad remain back against the failing conflict happening a few kilometers away from their locations. There were squads of heroes who were ignoring the commands of the central hub in favor of approaching the threat with bravery in their hearts.

They would end up paying dearly for this short sighted decision.

Meanwhile, Mina and Ochaco had to grit their teeth at the signal to hold their position as of then and there. Midnight even threatened her group with putting those who wanted to break off with her quirk if they tried to be insubornitive against the plan. None of the heroes under her command dared to act out of line in light of the order that came in.

She realized how quickly things were falling apart as her fellow heroes were all breaking protocol to act high and mighty against what they thought was just one man. Very little could redirect the downward spiral taking place.

Mina felt Ochaco's sympathetic hand on her shoulder as over twenty percent of the inexperienced heroes all took off towards the center of the conflict. Both of them knew how dangerous a fight against this one individual was. Their chances to win against Bloodsoaked needed all their cooperation, yet too many mavericks existed for this carefully coordinated plan to take place. Months of strict planning and briefings went up in smoke in light of the recent development.

Only the concern that they had for their friends and loved ones existed as Midnight moved her group as instructed by central command to better the chances they had left. All the heroes who maintained their composure did what they could to regain control of their situation. Mina prayed that Izuku wasn't one of the many who ran off recklessly towards Bloodsoaked. She and the others knew of his internal struggle in light of how little he felt in control of his current situation. Even the one person who could provide the most benefit in speaking to Midoriya fell silent for the longest time in recent memory.

Wherever he was, she just wanted him to come back home after this.

ESD Central Offices

"We cannot compromise the operation like this! Return to your designated posts, immediately!"

All the return chatter the central command with all the cocky comments on the comms just solidified the nature of how much control the professionals lost over the heroes. The loss of just under a fifth of their forces left the plan on a knife's edge on its chances of succeeding.

At the command desk of the technically advanced center, All Might stood in awe at the structure of the operation at hand. So many experienced techs and operatives working at maximum capacity; all provided pinpoint accurate information, as well as coordinating with one another so as not to clog up the channels of communications. Now he saw them all shift gears to try and make up for the error of the heroes who broke off from the chain of command in favor of trying to save their fellow heroes being taken out by Bloodsoaked.

Being displayed on a multitude of displays that encompassed the front as well as the sides of the room were screens that went from the ceiling to the floor. Data regarding the operation cycled at nauseating speeds to keep up with the new shift of development in mission objectives. All Might saw this panic take place in the form of the main map displayed on the main monitor with a real time status on all the heroes fighting to finish this capture of a dangerous criminal. An uncomfortable amount of blue dots were turning orange as Bloodsoaked just kept wiping out all the heroes from being able to continue the fight. The only saving grace was that there weren't any solid red lights on the board. He wouldn't know what to do with himself if the heroes using his plan were to die from something he helped instruct them into doing.

Still, too many losses were being suffered at the hands of this one man. Having a smaller force to react to his next move made things far more difficult than they needed to be.

What All Might felt mentally preoccupied with was Izuku. The doubt and uncertainty he saw develop in the young man felt serious enough for him to worry about his disciple. He just hoped that the young Midoriya had it in him to come out on top when it mattered. His gut feeling told him otherwise.

For once, he wanted to be wrong about his gut feeling.

Elsewhere

Racing through the city as one of the last squads assigned to hold off Bloodsoaked while the rear guard reevaluated their approach, Izuku kept his mind focused on his current mission. Training his mind to remain concentrated on less things took time to commit to habit, but it paid off as now he became less distracted by the heavier thoughts sitting at the back of his mind. Having himself put his fellow comrades in jeopardy over his own personal issues was unacceptable for the matured Izuku.

Just up ahead of him and his squad was the location of the encounter with Bloodsoaked. Very few heroes were visible from where he could see since his squad had been one of the teams located much further from the conflict. He remained in formation as Mirko leapt over the last rooftop blocking their visual contact of the fight. You could swear that the world fell silent when the heroes lagging behind saw the carnage already left behind by Bloodsoaked.

Strewn all over the length of the streets were the unconscious remains of the heroes who charged in trying to attempt taking on the experienced killer on their own.

He stood on a rooftop with more heroes far too nervous to even get close to him after he incapacitated five heroes all at once by giving them all a bear hug all at once. A chain of cracks and screams preceded the moments before they all fell into a deep slumber.

Arriving at the scene, Izuku managed to snag a spot at the edge of the empty space encompassing Bloodsoaked. Everyone within the circle were all out cold.

Here they were. No words were necessary as they both silently knew the other was there.

A new atmosphere of tension occurred as Bloodsoaked slowly turned to face Midoriya. Their eyes met through the masks they wore to disguise their faces.

One side stood for the righteousness of humanity. For all that people saw as the good in life. A truly ideal future that would make many innocent people happy.

The other was one who sank to the depths of human depravity to punish those who infected a world already far too steeped into cruelty and gluttony. Someone who saw evil as inevitable but not untameable. One who would act as the true monster of monsters to make those looking to infect the world with their greed or wrath submit at the mere mention of his presence. An entity who would eat those who disobeyed his rule over this world of human loss and suffering.

Two sides of a world divided. A hero who has spilled his blood versus a villain who has spilled the blood of others. This encounter was one of inevitability.

The world around them faded out into the distance. At that moment, they only saw the one connected to the future to come.

Bloodsoaked

Here he was.

He felt the bitter emotions of having to acknowledge his time with the ones he loved come to an end. In front of him was his son. The boy he did all he could to raise with all the values he wanted Izuku to hold onto as a man now stood as a proud young man able to become so much more. So much strength that he knew Midoriya had already been capable of now bloomed like a fresh spring season with only more to come. Despite the confusion and anger he saw within Izuku, he knew that Izuku would be just fine with the lessons he learned in combination with the good people all around him.

He would never have to experience the hellish existence Haru had to suffer.

Underneath his gas mask, a relieved smile finally made itself known as Nakamura saw all his work finally come to realization. Suffering through all that shit finally ended in the future he wanted to give to the world Izuku wanted to bring forth.

Having to pay the cost of him becoming the devil all felt worth it.

All he had to do was finalize his role as the monster he was. With that, he would be able to protect the world he wanted to give to his loved ones.
