They ended the night with an emotional note. While Jade's plan and its safety were discussed in depth, they all took their own time to have a word with her. They all wanted her to know that she was safe and accepted by them.

Jade was happy for their comforting words. Pennyworth was the last person to speak to her. He told her that she could always count on him to have her back and that she shouldn't hesitate to ask him for anything.

Brown and Cain invited themselves for a girls-only night the day after, declaring that no boys were allowed. Jade wasn't sure what a girl's night would entail, but she was happy to figure it out.

Jason accompanied her to her room so they could talk a bit more together about their shared past. Jade fell asleep sometime during their talk. When she woke up, Jason wasn't there, but there was a phone with a note next to her.

It was from Jason, telling her that she could call him anytime. Jade felt happy and warm. It was as if a void had been filled where she never knew it existed.

She got ready for the day and picked Bastet up with some toys to head to the cave. She had to make modifications to the Robin suit. While she was still at an age were clothing of both genders fit her body the same way, she wanted to adjust the look of the suit.

She didn't want to do anything drastic like coloring the suit pink or adding cliché girly things to it. It wasn't her style and, frankly, wasn't the style of most women around her.

She wanted to opt for the more subtle approach. She didn't want to use a wig or something similar to alter her own appearance. So she had to choose something that sent the message clearly enough yet was not so drastic.

She decided to go for the most simple answer, which was to add a skirt to her suit. She wasn't going to remove the pants, of course, since the material protected her from bullets and lighter injuries. She would just add it on top.

She had to cut some of the material to make the top half shorter and add the skirt to that. It needed some good sewing skills. Good thing he learned them in the league.

In the end, it took her most of the day and some help from Pennyworth and Drake, who joined her in the evening. But it was done. She likes the new look. It was very similar to before, but there was clearly a skirt, and it was seamlessly attached to the top half.

The skirt matched the same style as the top with red and black coloring. She was happy with the results. She wasn't patrolling today since Gordon had to take care of something personal, so it fell on her to coordinate with the others with the comms.

Grayson has already been called back due to a case, and Cain was in Norway checking something for them. So it was only Drake, Jason, and Brown. Father was still not back from the mission with the Justice League.

Everyone would leave for patrol in an hour, so Jade decided to use the opportunity to train a bit. She started stretching and warming up before picking up two short daggers and starting the simulation.

The night went smoothly. It was a lot of responsibility to take since she had to be constantly aware of everything, and she clearly wasn't as fast as Gordon in performing some tasks.

But others knew this, so there weren't any expectations of it. They did not rush her, and she was able to do what was needed. It was a nice experience and she would definitely like to learn more from Gordon about it.

After the patrol, Jason and Brown went straight to their own places, but Drake came to the manor, and they shared a light snack before going to sleep.

The next night, she went out as Robin herself. As a girl. It was funny to see criminals confused about the outfit change, but she didn't pay much mind to it. Grayson was back and filling for Batman, so she was confident nothing would go wrong.

She also found the opportunity she wanted. Stopping a new villain who she didn't catch the name of. Honestly she really wanted to investigate what in Gotham made so many people with high education become villans.

This guy had an agenda against fast fashion and consumerism. While this was by no means wrong, he found a way to make fabric wastes and thrown out clothing into these giant robots that were attacking big clothing brands trying to destroy them.

The robots then went haywire to attack civilians, so the bats had to get involved. It was a long, drawn-out fight. The robots were made of such thick materials that it was impossible to cut through them.

They had to locate weak spots in the joints and attack them. None of them were seriously injured, so she counted that as a win. Also, some civilians needed medical attention, but it wasn't life-threatening.

There were a lot of reporters and people capturing pictures of them and the fight and asking them questions. They did not answer much since they had to leave but Jade was glad people took notice of the change.

It was all according to the plan, and now it was time for Gordon to spread the news.
