Chapter Two; Home away from home

Two weeks after the training spar.

Kyoto Shrine

"Oji-chan!" a small blonde bundle tackled the latest addition to the Kyoto shrine and Kitsune race as a whole, who caught said missile in arm and swung her around before plopping her onto his shoulders as she beamed happily "Ko-chan. How have you been? Behaving for your mother?" the whiskered fire haired shinobi responded the whiskered fire haired shinobi responded as he strolled in with his brunette-haired partner smirking beside him. The little Kyuubi nodded rapidly, her childish innocence a health break for the two shinobi who had just returned from the third mission in a week, "I'm glad. Then it makes the Ice cream we brought perfect for our own little snack, neh?" which earned a delighted squeal from the girl all but expected.

Tenten lead the duo into the main shrine, waving at the guards who waved back as the two kitsune talk about casual mundane topics and just spending time together. She wasn't envious of her fellow shinobi; in fact, she too enjoyed the ever-energetic child's antics as a welcomed break from their cloak and dagger profession.

Sitting beside her fellow shinobi absentmindedly joining the three Kitsune on the decking, one of Naruto's tails automatically wrapped around her waist, and they continued to talk whilst enjoying the silence along with the peace of the moment.

"We have a situation developing…" Yasaka comments as she strikes her daughter's hair, as she barely retained her consciousness "…and need a discreet hand." Naruto continued her sentence earning a nod from "Indeed."

"Who's the target?" Tenten questions who was leaning against Naruto absentmindedly "A capture this time." Their leader states "Though, this is politically sensitive." Now gaining Naruto's full attention "How so…?" the full blonde Kitsune sighs heavily "Well, a few years ago a nekosho by the name of Kuroka, who had been turned into a devil, apparently went crazy using senjutsu and killed her master in a rampage." She began earning raised eyebrows from the two shinobi "Is that even possible?" asked Tenten looking to her sage friend who was frowning, contemplative for a moment "…it's not impossible." his response as he briefly enters sage mode, the world's negative emotions brushed up against him causing him to shudder as he releases it "Though, I can handle nature's animosity. Someone untrained might be more susceptible."

"Indeed." Yasaka confirms finally looking to her fellow Kitsune "To me though the reports suggest it to be a cover up." Both shinobi remain silent, no point asking stupid questions that will be answered soon "For starters; if she had indeed gone insane, then she would have killed everyone and not just one man before fleeing, leaving her baby sister behind."

"Cover up." Both shinobi nod in agreement with their leader, earning a her a smile that falters immediately "Unfortunately, this caused the other devil's to enter a rage at the death of one of their nobility…" this caused the shinobi to catch on immediately and both tensed "…and they took their rage out on the innocent."

"…how many…?" Naruto's voice was barely above a whisper "It was a genocide." Yasaka's equally soft response, a deep growl from Naruto and flexing fists from Tenten "We don't have the power to take on the devil's directly." Yasaka comments "I can match two of their Mauo in direct combat, but they have four. Many more are strong so if we waged war, they'd win."

"So, you are sending us?" Tenten staring at their new leader who nods "…but before we directly challenge them, we must set the groundwork for it." Yasaka explains to which the other two get on board with her trail of thought "So, we capture this Kuroka and learn the truth about the incident. Locations, people involved and gather documents." Tenten lays out to which she nods "Then reach out for aid then confront them." Naruto adds earning a bright smile from Yasaka who nods "Sounds straight forward."

"Any leads on this Nekosho's location?"

"No unfortunately." Yasaka reports but smiles none the less "Though, rumours suggest that she regularly checks up on her sister."

"…and where is said sister?" Tenten questioned though a small pit in her stomach, a bad feeling that she unknowingly matched her friend "Kuoh." Yasaka whispered before wincing at the double face palm, mumbles, and groans from her two shinobi finally recompose themselves "Devil territory." Sighed Tenten "They very same you escaped from barely." Yasaka acknowledged "We were confused and fatigued back then." Naruto reports with his fellow shinobi nodded, "This time, things will be different."

"I hope so." The lead Youkai responded with a soft smile, "Though, I do have to correct you on one thing." Earning boths attention again "The Devil's are only temporary renting the space, though we weren't really able to deny them at the time as we were busy with other things. Japan, as a whole, is our territory thus should you be confronted by anyone you have full authority to handle it according."

"Can we get that in paper?" Tenten asks with a raised hand, Naruto snickering at that as Yasaka's right eye twitched "Don't trust me?"

"I do." The kunoichi confirms with a nod, "Just covering our bases." Naruto comments nods after "Going into hostile territory with a backup plan, or back up, is natural." Tenten adds, "I see." Yasaka nods softly "I will prepare the required documents."

"Anything else we should know of the target?" Tenten asks to which their leader "She's suspected to be a assassin for hire, with several high-profile hits allegedly under her belt, so do be careful on how you approach her." Yasaka informs causing the duo to chuckle as from this first week, they have routinely snuck up on numerous Youkai and caught more than a dozen of their tails placed upon them by the council, against their leaders' orders.

The nine tailed vixen was not amused at first but was talked out of direct confrontation as it led to several spies being weeded out, two council members charged with treason and a suspected spy ring to come to their attention. "Speaking of which…" Naruto recalling their current objective "…what about the spy ring?"

"Who does it belong to?"

"We suspect the Gregory." Tenten states but she has a frown, "Though, possibly double agents…"

"Double agents?"

"We think they were originally Gregory, still are, but they serve another too." Naruto explains too frowning, "We just don't know who exactly."

"That's troubling." Yasaka matching their frown "Too troubling to leave alone. When can you move on it?"

"If we continue our monitoring, we might be able to acquire more information on their employers, and even what they have been doing here." Naruto responded, "Though the longer we wait, the more information they take, and the possibility of our counter espionage being discovered."

"Counter…?" Yasaka looked confused as the two shinobi grin, "We're feeding them false information." Tenten confirms "It was Naruto's idea."

"They had been digging up information on the both of us, which alerted us to their presence in the first place." Naruto began and continued upon seeing the upset state of their leader, knowing that she wanted to keep her new shinobi as trump cards. Even more so as now there was another mature Kyubi, "So we gave it to them… with some slight alterations."

"How slight?" Yasaka questioned with narrowed eyes, "I'm a recently evolved six tailed Kitsune…" Naruto snickered earning a raised brow from his leader "…and I am a…" Tenten paused as she glared fiercely at her partner, clearly angry at him for what she did not want to report, "…a…?" pushed the vixen, tails swaying impatiently "Com'mon, Panda-chan… oof…" Naruto taking an elbow to the gut earning a sigh from the mother that turned into a grin "Panda, huh? I see." Said brownette pouted at the teasing.

Under the moonless night following the talk with Yasaka finds Tenten standing on the roof opposite the spy ring headquarters. Thanks to her overpowered partner, and his relationship with his godfather, her chakra capacity had increased and gotten denser. They suspect it is due to her snuggling with him, sleeping between him and his tails though recently both Konu and Yasaka have joined them. As Naruto typically slept in his 'Adult fox' form which was a few inches taller than most stallions, his tails offered plenty of space especially when the youngest of the three kyubi curled up in her own fox form, that was a little bigger than most common dogs.

Back on topic, using the shadows to mask herself, Tenten observes the three main escape routes; the dark alley on the buildings right, the balcony above it and the window opposite her. With her new school kunai, made by her and her partner in crimes combined effort using local materials, she would pick off any who escaped the fox entering this chicken coop. She chuckled recalling the deadpan Naruto got from Yasaka when he mentioned that to Yasaka and the adorable giggle from the youngster, who clearly missed the severity of the statement.

A double tap over the radio brings the focus on the mission to the forefront of the kunoichi's mind, eyes unknowingly slitted as the area seemed to light up slightly too. Through the top floor window of the coffee shop, a cat café as it's front which was smart as none would smell the angel scent from the hidden workers, she noticed Naruto hold up five fingers then lower two, signing 'subdued target. Floor clear.' She nods minutely and he moves on.

A full minute later and Tenten starts to get a little bit agitated but held out just as two figures came out of side, right into her view and moments later they both fell like discarded trash bags with her stun kunai. These weapons had a strong paralysis seals etched into the blades themselves, activated by her and her partners unique form of chakra which was far denser than the current Youki. A third enemy attempted to fly off but to find two blades through each wing and a fifth in the kidney. They dropped like a dead fish.

"So, how many did we get?" Yasaka questioned as Naruto and Tenten arrive at her office, the dark night created a darker atmosphere within it, so they all stayed with shadows with only the luminescent eyes of the occupants. "Five captured, six dead."

"Documents?"

"In the information department."

"Anything else?"

"Nothing of importance."

"I see. You're dismissed." with that command, the shadows seemed shimmer and the extra sets of eyes fade away.

Kuoh Town

Four days later the shinobi duo land just beyond the magical charged barrier that surrounds the devil's territory. Looking over the small city, both could sense the numerous supernatural entities within the settlement "So, we're back… huh?" Tenten murmurs as she spots the distant placement of their rushed campsite, "We should set up camp here…" pulling out a kunai, three pronged design "…and I'll begin to start dismantling…" a puff of smoke upon the other side of the barrier reveals another Tenten, a shadow clone, that she then promptly substitution "Ta-da!"

"Smart." Naruto chuckled making six clones then another and switching with it, the two head in whilst leaving behind their platoon of shadow clones to set the camp up.

Within the town, the blond had turned to ravenette and his whiskers were gone. Tenten on the other hand had matched his hair colour, her now denser chakra allowing her transformation in the same manner as the Kitsune she lived with. Her black hair matched her obsidian eyes, and she was latching upon her partner's arm. The two playing the loving couple, perfectly if you asked their audience, and were discreetly observing the area.

Over the next few hours the duo would visit parks, malls, and even the amusement park. As they went, they noticed the number of Youkai, devils, and fallen littering the city. In the early evening, they were sitting in a diner, Tenten eating some fries lazily whilst absently mind staring out at the people passing by "Say, Menma… any word?"

"Not since this morning." Naruto fiddling with his mobile phone, taking a chip from his own plate without looking away "We should be waiting for our…"

"Hey guys!" a new couple approaching the duo and Naruto noticed immediately that the duo approaching were Youki, rabbit smell, they plastered on their smiling faces and getting up "We thought you weren't coming." Naruto hugging the woman, Tenten effortlessly falling into her own role "Sorry… you now how Miya gets." The man says whilst arm clasping Naruto, "Yeah, Koyuki's the same remember, haha?"

"Oh, shush Menma." Tenten response as she leads Miyazaki into the booth "Don't worry about it, Koyuki. Ulio's the same way…" the ravenette Youki responded with a huff, "I swear, if I didn't know any better, I swear you two were brothers…"

"We've been together since forever." Ulio states with a massive grin, matched by Naruto's, and the fries were shared between all present "So, when did you guys arrive? We thought you'd arrive at the train station like a few hours ago, Menma?"

"Got the early train." said brunette shrugged, "Just…"

"…just drop it." Tenten chuckles, "We're here now. Let's not argue."

"Let's get to the apartment and put your stuff away." Miyazaki declares, diva mode in full effect or locally known as gyru, bringing Tenten up to her feet with the others following suite a step behind, leaving behind several yen and empty plates.

As soon as the apartment door shut, the new duo turned to their guests and was going to speak until Naruto raised a finger to his mouth as Tenten pulled out a privacy seal. A flash of blue rippled across the walls perimeter of the apartment, sealing the activity within its walls, and allowed them to finally relax without worrying and immediately tails and ears popped out with content smiles.

The trio of youkai then look around, the Kitsune inspected the seals then nodded in approval at their precision "You've gotten better."

"Your scrolls helped." Tenten reports, beaming up at the satisfaction given by her fellow shinobi "Then let's get to business." Ulio states with flickering ears, hardened brown eyes of the assassin he was alongside his own partner Miyazaki "Report." Naruto states with his tail swaying sternly.

Since their arrival and declaration of their occupation as Shinobi, Naruto and Tenten were placed as heads of the new intelligence, assassination, and protection department. Thus, despite their distances, all current spies were aware of their change in command and now properly took a knee with heads bowed "Lord Uzumaki; reporting as requested. It will be an honour to serve alongside you."

"Enough with the lord crap, Naruto will be enough…" waiving them off "So, how we have found the situation?"

"The two devil families are Gremory and Sitri. Focused around the academy, it seems that they use it as their base of operations and thus we have barred our people from getting too close as they have a youkai among them." Ulio reports, though noticed the venom when speaking of the opposing youkai "Damn traitor." Mumbled Miyazaki, "Must be the sister of our target." Tenten whispered ignoring the slight, "The very same." Ulio nodded "A Nekosho. High smell, hearing, medium night vision but enhanced by devil attributes."

"Chakra sensing too." Miyazaki informs earning nods from the others, "She has inclination towards natural chakra, though her file states she was rejecting her heritage but still had access to it." Tenten informs as they all sat down, "We have to keep tabs on her." Naruto pulls out arm bands, coated completely in seals, "These should help. Anti-tracking bracers, though I rushed them, so they won't last too long, a week at most."

"To spread them out we should take turns. I'll go first…" Tenten informs the group, earning a nod from the two rabbits but the Kitsune was a bit more hesitant until the high-human takes his hand earning her friend's attention "…I'll be fine, Naru. Trust in me. I'm a shinobi too. Carrying the Will of Fire right alongside you." A soft smile upon her round face causing Naruto to reliant and nod, though notably hesitant to do so.

Koneko Toju is a rook within the employ of the Rias Gremory whilst attending Kouh academy. Just like her master, she was a devil but was also part youkai as she was born that way. Due to this aspect, she was often employed by her master as a sensor and tracking unit, and she took pride in being unmatched in the field. Yet, for the last week she had been feeling someone was watching her but as she focused on the feeling, but her sensing seemed to fuzz out. It was frustrating.

As she entered the academy, the feeling of being watched doubled causing her to stop and glance around with senses on full alert. She should let bouchu know. This is clearly a security breach of some kind and must be investigated.

On a nearby buildings the two figures of Tenten and Miyazaki looking down on the whittette as she headed in, "That's the traitor…" the rabbit youkai pointing out the tiny girl causing Tenten to make a mental note, "…serving the backstabbing devils."

"I see. I'll let Naru know." Tenten still glancing after the girl, pondering slightly about this traitor status and perhaps it was missed placed. She'll have to look into it. "Well, we have now found our targets target. All that's left is…"

"Observe and wait." Miyazaki spoke softly gazing out at the school, not wanting to be bored, Tenten poses a question "Miyazaki, did you go to a school like this?"

"I did." Miyazaki was quick to reply "…but it was purely supernatural, youkai mainly but we did get the occasional devil or fallen."

"I see. Is then why do you hate devils so much?" This drew the woman's attention entirely to the former leaf shinobi, eyes harder than diamonds "If you see what they do to our kind, you wouldn't be asking and just know. Then again, you are a high human. I am sure if they ever learn of your existence, you will come to understand exactly why I despise them and their 'collections' they always a boast about."

"Collections? You mean…?" Tenten widen her eyes as Miyazaki narrowed, "As a bunny youkai, my kind are often viewed as nothin but playthings for the highest bidder." Spoken with distasteful undertones, almost spitting the words like venom "My kin and I are always considered more an attractive than most. Human culture even acknowledges this too. Naturally those greedy parasites seek us out even more so, whether for bragging rights or just to sate their desires…" looking to the school of humans with the same dark look, "…which is why you can't ever trust a devil, and any Youkai who willing serves one is nothing but a traitor."

"I see…" Tenten was now far more wary of their situation, it is clear that these so-called devils have some kind of enslaving capacity based on the way her friend was openly distasteful of them. As a shinobi of the leaf, she is no stranger to the practice, but if these collections are anything to go by, then she must be cautious on who's feathers they ruffle and be thankful they managed to escape back then.

It only took three days until a certain two tailed cat arrived on scene and Tenten was in site and signalled to her partner for support "Target aquired." Spoken softly as she pulls out her phone, never admitting how call these things is as right now she was on the clock, "Naru… yeah… it's me. Target sighted. Can you…?" before she could finish, a presence appeared behind her "Already here."

Forcing herself to not react to his abrupt arrival, Tenten slowly stood up erode pointing to the tree's "She's in that tree right now looking over students the physical training." Naruto sniffs the air before focusing his chakra sensing and finding nothing but the ever-slightest condensing of nature "No wonder she's so difficult to track down. I got her though." Naruto smirks looking to his last friend "Back me up?"

"Did you even have to ask?" Pulling out her kunai, smirking all the way and Naruto nodded before disappearing in a puff of smoke, followed shortly by a tornado of leaves.

In the tree's sat a black cat with two tails, staring at the shortest girl in the class, until she felt eyes on her causing her to look around and not seeing or sensing anyone narrowed eyes. Without warning she was tackled by another animal and the two tumbled into the underbrush. The scuffle of the two animals continued for a few minutes, with kicking and growling before the cat was kicked out which drew the attention of the magical inclined.

The hissing cat glared at the bushes as a small nine tailed orange kit dune slowly stepped out, growling lowly with narrowed eyes, but at the sight of the fox before her, the cats' eyes widened 'A kitsune…' counting up to nine which earned '…with nine tails too. That colour of furs.'

"You are to come with me." the fox spoke calmly, catching the girl off guard as it was a male voice and the power subconsciously coming off him "Resist, you will regret it."

"Oh? You and what army?"

"Army?" The fox offers a sinister gleam in his eyes, a mischievous smirk appearing upon his muzzle "It won't be necessary." lower his front, preparing to pounce and she too followed suit "You're awfully confident."

"Not really. Just confident." The fox chuckled, before silence, and eyes slit narrowed "Aww, how cute!" Broke the tense atmosphere as a cacophony of awes from a gathering of girls all around them, the distracted cat was tackled again, grabbed by the back of the neck and pinning her down. "My win." The fox stated earning a hiss from the two tailed cat.

Suddenly, the crowd of girls went quiet and dispersed which caught the attention of the two embattled Youkai, "Ara-ara… what do we have here?"

"Two Youkai? Maybe?" Another voice but before the devils could do anything the fox give them all a once over, jaws still firmly gripping the cat that seemed to have frozen stiff out of fear. Yep, he could tell these were the same people, the targets sister and her club. They surrounded the duo, with seemingly no way out until two smoke pallets dropped into his line of sight and when they popped used that smokescreen.

A quick flap of their wings. The smoke was washed away, the two Youkai were gone "Koneko!"

"Bachu, I can't sense them." The teenaged cat muttered looking to the group, who all frowned at that "Something seem to be amiss here."

"Definitely."

Naruto lands on back on the rooftop, still in his little fox form carrying the curled up two tailed cat "Tag 'er and let's get out of here." Naruto looking behind him to Tenten, who just landed beside him "Got the tag here." pulling the chakra suppression seal as she raises to her feet, surprise was on the felines features upon noting the uniform of the woman, recalls of the rumours about the Youki faction reorganisation and a new arm of the military. No information on it could be found, however.

Before Kuoka could react, a paper tag was slapped upon her stomach which forcefully removed her transformation and strength sapped from her body forcing it limp. Glancing back, she barely saw the tall male figure before she was blindfolded "Should we seal her away?" a female voice, "It would be best, yes." The male kitsune, if Kuoka's nose was accurate, spoke next as she suddenly felt weightless and before long, she felt the wind running over her skin and tails when she suddenly felt sleepy and then blackness.

Back in the safe house apartment, the four specialists all looked downed at their captive "What now?" asked Ulio looking to his boss, "Well, we are to head back and…" Naruto's instructions were cut off by his phone ringing, he promptly answered "Hello…?"

"Naru-kun… where are you?"

"At our safe house, Yasaka-sama. We were about to…"

"Listen, I need a favour from you."

"Name it."

"…a friend of mine is manning the nearby orphanage. She has an issue that requires a delicate touch."

"Okay. In that case I'll send the package back to you, while me and our local operatives will scout out the issue out."

"Very well." A notable pause before a childish voice, "Onii-chan! When are you coming back?" earning a chuckle from the kitsune, "Sorry Kanou, work is keeping me here a little longer. Maybe another week or so."

"…owww… why?"

"Work is work." Naruto shrugs before chuckling under his breathe to find himself smiling, the other three remained silent, "…but you promised…"

"I did not – be good for your mother. Gotta go."

"…okay! Promise me a week?"

"Can't promise… that… but… I'll try." Naruto spoke softly, calmly, and unbeknownst to him Kanou was listening to his words like scripture, immortalised as words from her father "Okay… see you soon daddy." hanging up before Naruto's brain could process the words.

"Hello? Menma?" Ulio questioned successfully rebooting said ninja, him snapping to him "Ulio…" he muttered before shaking her head "…right." looking to Tenten who simply nodded, "I'll get the scrolls."

"I'll transport you beyond the boundaries of the town. Ulio and Miyazaki, you two will head to this place…" Naruto writing the address on a sticky pad "…a speak to the orphanage head. She has a package that requires our delicate assistance." spoken in a way they both instinctively knew what was really being asked. "Yes sir." Bowing before heading for the door, Naruto grabbing Tenten, who had secured Kuroka into a prisoner transport scroll, and vanishes in a flash of yellow.

On the edge of the town, in their fallback position, Naruto pulls Tenten back to face him "Listen, any issues and call me immediately." spoken so firmly, his gaze unwavering that caused the woman to smile softly as she brought him into a soft embrace "I will be careful and straight to Lady Yasaka."

"Call me when you get there. Understood?" his voice soft as a cloud, but his tone left little room to argue "I understand. I have your kunai on me so." He nods before slowly, hesitantly, and reluctantly pulls away "I'll be there in a flash." Smiled crookedly before flashing away again as Tenten smirks, hands on hips "He's been waiting far too long to say that." chuckling to herself before glancing to the road ahead of her briefly stationary before vanishing in a burst of speed, leaving no sign of her passing.

Naruto leaves the apartment, maintaining his disguise, walking calmly through the human crowds whilst effortlessly merging between the groups. Making his way downtown, he notices the increasing number of students from the local academies, and he could sense the growing number of eyes from the schoolgirls upon him. He knew he was attractive, sure, but not this attractive as even his unusually shining blond hair was covered by his dark black hair. So why was he drawing so much attention?

As he pulls his mobile phone, receiving a text message, he altered his course approached a coffee shop and ordered a double espresso before sitting down outside. Many schoolchildren passed him by, the girls gossiping before noticing him, blushing, before scurrying away, earning a sigh from the former jinchuriki. Glancing around, he noticed a troublesome foursome heading his way whilst in a heavy discussion. Just as he thought to make his escape, his colleague Miyazaki had finally arrived and as they hugged, the four devils passed him by none the wiser of his identity "…you never called me! You should have."

"You know I didn't want to worry you." Naruto ad-libbed perfectly as they hugged, "They found several nekomata in hiding and in need of escape." Her soft whisper was barely that, a soft breeze more than a whisper. They parted as they sat down and 'Enjoyed' their coffee's shooting the breeze with Miyazaki showing open affection whenever a female gave Naruto, as she claimed, the eyes to dissuade the notion.

"Where's Ulio, by the way? I would have thought…" Naruto questioned to which she snorted, "You know him, Menma. Sitting on his ass, enjoying his shows and practicing his craft. His only passions." She sighs as Naruto decrypts her words 'So, he's watching over them and is armed just in case. Good.'

"…but sometimes I wonder why I am still with him…?"

"Your joking, right?" Naruto with a raised brow over his coffee cup, "you guys have been…"

"I know." Miyazaki waving him off, before locking eyes with him, "Your brother… is a man of passion, his passions." Reaching for her drink again, "…and recently, I feel that I am not one of them anymore."

"I'll talk to him." Naruto spoke up after swallowing his mouthful, and understandably was caught off guard by her smile, it was the stuff of beauty that caused him to reign in his own feral instincts in record time. Coughing to clear his inattentiveness, he looks back up at the bunny youkai who had a mischievous grin upon her face causing him to narrow his eyes "You really are dangerously good at your job." She shrugs uncaringly, surprisingly unladylike as it seemed her tomboyish attitude had slowly come out in his comforting aura.

The duo would spend a further hour, two cups, and a comfortable talk was broken by a text to her phone "Oh… your brother want us to meet him at work. We'll head to our reservation for dinner from there." Miyazaki announced and the two stood, "Better not keep him waiting." Naruto replied, "I'll never hear the end of it. Mom would talk my ear off later if I did." earning a chuckle from his lavishly dressed beauty he had been dining with.

As they made their way to the counter, they passed by a certain neckmata who caught the familiar scent, causing her to snap up at the two dark haired civilians, her strawberry cheesecake forgotten briefly "a kitsune and a bunny?" pulling out her phone, speed dailing her master as she knows this can't be good "Koneko? What's wrong?"

"Bachuu… I found a fox and bunny Youkai in town." The nekomata reports earning a stiff silence, "Where?"

"Downtown. Should I tail them?"

"No. I will send Akeno. Stay put until she arrives."

"Understood, Bachuu." She hung up just as the male pays, much to the females' dismay, the man just chopped her on her crown playfully. She pouted. He stuck his tongue out at her and she rolled his eyes whilst smiling.

Moving toward the door, they chatted calmly, and it was comforting air between them, ignoring the devil in their conversation. Heading out and the cat Youkai followed, silently and without a word.

Going through the town, the kitten watched and documented the duo walking in arm in arm chatting happily, but then again, the woman soft a chuckle and lightly slap him. At that moment, the devil caught sight of her senpai in the corner of her eyes and moved off to break from her tail and slipping into an alleyway. Just before she could teleport a soft cough caught her attention, snapping her eyes to the side where a figure stood within the shadows a foxy tail clearly waving behind him "Who are you?"

"Irrelevant." The figure chuckled "Why are you serving those devils?" A new shadowy figure, covered in shadowed but the bushy tail clued her in causing eyes to widen, "…you should be…" chuckles heard from them both "…answer the questioned…"

"They saved me. Fed me."

"Foolish kitten." The distorted female voice, condescending rolling off in spades casing the girl to glare "Sister is dangerous. She crazy. Just like…"

"Foolish kitten." The female bunny looking to the fox "She completely believed their garbage, my lord." A heavy sigh from the fox youkai, "Leave it. She's not smart enough to see the truth." and they move back towards the darkness "To think… she served those who butchered her kind. How pathetic."

"They… did what?" The small girl was wide eyed speechless earning two snorts "The devils slaughtered your kin and you serve them willing. You serve killers and murders willingly. You traitorous slave." The rabbit Youkai spoke as she vanished, the fox one glanced back and shook his head and despite her best efforts, she could identify him "When you want to break free, little kitten, come home. We'll welcome you with open arms." before moving after his colleagues and he fades leaving the kitten to her thoughts.

Akeno continued to follow the duo after her kohai left, she tried to sense them using her magical powers but got nothing in return and it was somewhat unnerving. Keeping her eyes on them was hard enough in the crowd, but without her magical tracking she was having trouble keeping their eyes on them. Turning another corner towards the open market place, and before long they had vanished among the crowd much to the devil's announance.

Pulling her phone out swiftly as she found a place within the crowd unseen by mortals, "Rias, I lost them…"

"How?"

"Their presence is differcult to disconcern from the environment itself. Had to follow them with my eyes and lost them in the crowd."

"Troublesome. What about Koneko?"

"Sent her back when I arrived. In hindsight, I should have kept her with me."

"No. I needed her for observations on Hyoudou. His date is today."

"Understood, I'll make my way back then." closing the line before suddenly her world went dark, unbeknownst to her, she was carried away to a safe house and not to be heard from in a few hours.

"What took you so long?" Ulio questioned as Naruto entered the orphanage calmly, locking the door closed slowly "The devils were poking around, confronted the traitor, and cleared our trail. She is handling the prisioner."

"Oh? Prisoner huh? Do I want to know?"

"Probably not." Naruto approached the door towards the office, Ulio wordlessly moved to his left side being careful not to brush his sabre, mounted upon his lower back, against his side "…but do not be surprised if this turns into something larger." Naruto comments moved through the door, calmly smiling as he came into the view of the children and families, he was desired to calm at the request of his lady.

"…so, these are them?"

"Yes mi'lord." Ulio stated earning a nod from the man, "These are the families that have seemed our help."

"…I see. They will have it." Naruto's declaration earning relief sighs from the adults, cheers from the kids and soft smile from Ulio.

Kyoto Shrine

Tenten lands in the rear courtyard, silent as a ghost, moving like a spectre, "Oh, your back already?" Yasaka appearing from the doorway as her shinobi smiled "Hai, Lady Yasaka. I have brought the target to complete the mission given." looking at her back, rather obviously confused at the lack of a certain cat causing the kunouchi to chuckle whilst unhooking the scroll from her belt near her left thigh to hold up "In here, mi'lady."

"A scroll?" The Youki leader questioned, confused at the sight until placed down and unrolled revealing a complex set of script, the brief application of chakra and the smoke that cleared moments later appeared a snoozing Kuroka. A brief moment until Yasaka regained herself, "Oh my, how convient."

"Yes. Naruto is an expert on this art, I am learning much from his clan scrolls." Tenten spoke as she picked up the snoozing convict, dropped onto her shoulder, "Still, where do you want her?"

"Take her to the guest quarters, insure that she cannot escape, until we can speak with her." Yasaka ordered and Tenten smiled whilst nodding "No sweat, I'll handle it." stepping past her boss and into the house, a spring in her step, whilst humming an old tune she recalled from her time in the orphanage.

Kuoh Town

Naruto and Ulio walked out from the orphanage and faced one another, "I'll go get our clear a path, ensure we aren't blind sided during transit."

"…and can't you just transport them all?"

"Too many of them. Transporting them all will bring, unwanted attention to our position, a pitch battle would ensue and such…" Naruto trailed off and his assassin coworker thought over thIs information before realising the truth of it, nodding upon reaching that conclusion too "I guess my yujutsu would be insufficient in this."

"Unfortunately." Naruto sighs looking around, at the dark corridor like alleyway "At most we move out in about three hours."

"Why not tonight?"

"Because everything happens at night. The supernatural is most active during then. Why would we play into our enemies hands?" Naruto then looks to his subordinate "Stay strong. We're going to move soon."

"Got it… boss." Ulio responded as he fades back into the darkness as Naruto moved out and strolled off towards the border of the town. As he walked, his phone went off and he answered swiftly "Naru…"

"Panda… you home already? I'm impressed."

"You're not only fast one around here mister." Tenten stated earning a snort from him "Right, of course. Now then, I have a operation to do."

"Oh?"

"Escort mission, rank C probably B." Naruto replied passing through a park, though he was concerned by the the lack of people "Should be fun though. Can't let the kids get harmed an all. Their innocence needs protecting."

"Yeah… well. I gotta go. Kittens awakening."

"Good luck. Don't spook her too much." Naruto spoke but paused, "Scrap that, only use the blunted kunai."

"Aww… please…"

"Nope…" the killing intent suddenly hit the blond, causing his strollling pace to stop eyes fixated on the couple by the waterfall "…gotta go panda." Said woman sensed the cold chill changed in the voice, "Someone is about to die."

Moving with the wind, Naruto caught a light spear from the fallen before it hit the human boy "Now, now – that isn't very nice, angel-san."

"…and you are?" Said Angel questioned, with a raised eyebrow arms crossed but anger in her eyes "Just a passerby." Naruto at that crushed the spear in hand, a clear threat that put said angel on edge, "Now, mind telling me what a fallen is doing here? This is out of your jurisdiction, last time I checked."

"Your one to talk, human." the angel stated with narrow eyes, "You hero faction 'roches…"

"Human?" Naruto was smirking chuckles, "Right… you can't sense me." As he steps between the two, "guess you are half rate." earning a twitched eyebrow, "Ah well, so I'm feeling genirous, leave now and I won't kill you where you fly." She chuckled at the threat, clearly dismissive of the boys before her, but before either fighter could make a move the boy spoke "Uma-chan! Why? Why are you trying to…"

"My name is Raynare, not Uma!" Flicking another light spear, again caught before being crushed, "Like I said, this is very nice of you outside your jurisdiction, guess I have to…" his fox ears appeared and nine tails erupted from his tailbone "…end you."

"A kitsune…? Nine tails…?" gasped the fallen angel, horror filling her features, his blue eyes slited causing nothing but pure terror "Wha… why are you here?"

"Doesn't matter, you have just crossed me and well and truly pissed me off." growling just as he vanished from sight, before the crow could react both her wings were grabbed and knee on her back.

Boom.

In a small crater the fallen was out cold, Naruto atop her and had released his hold on her extra human appendages before pulling in his own, looking up at the average looking male human his eyes suddenly narrow upon sensing why he was targeted. Abruptly, he also senses the devils hanging back in the rear and his mind runs a mile a second "Kiddo, what's your name?"

"Kid? I ain't no kid. Wait! What about Uma-chan? Is she…?"

"Dead? No. Just taking a nap. Though I believe we need to have a word but not here. It seems you are being used as bait by the dark forces around here." Naruto explained causing the boy to pale "Dark forces? Like demons and stuff?"

"Devil… if my senses are right, a young one at that." His eyes trailing to the bushes and tree line off to the left "What should I do?" The boy cried only for a two hands to grab his shoulders, forcing his face to stare directly into the face of his rescuer "Firstly, take a deep breath, and calm down. Secondly, I really think we should talk somewhere with less ears listening in." After a several deep calming breaths, the boy now surprisingly much calmer "Okay. Where to mister…?"

"Not here. Take my hand but be warned, from this day on things will never be the same again." Naruto's eyes were serious, his slit eyes narrowed firmly, "…but I can promise you that I will not allow you to die." The resolve in the blonds voice was all encompassing and surpringly comforting that filled the Japanese boy with confidence who nodded and took the offered hand "Issei Hyoudou, that's my name."

"Well Issei, welcome to the supernatural world. The true world." Naruto grinned just as several red magical circles appeared around them, drawing both boys attention "What is.."

"Our time to go. It seems they called in reinforcements." Naruto states and just as the red lights flashed, they successfully hid the yellow flash, leaving nothing but a crater where a fountain once stood and four young devils in combat formations but no enemy to face "Wait… where?"

"Gone." Spoke the kitten of the group causing their leader to glare at the crater "What happened here?"

"Issei was saved by a Youkai, a nine tailed fox to be precise." Koneko responded to her leader, who looked surprised at that "A kyuubi? Here? How? When?"

"He left as you arrived, took both Issei and the fallen angel too." Koneko reported causing the high classed devil to narrow her eyes, "There's only one Kyuubi, right? Why was Yasaka…?"

"Bachuu, did you forget that nine tails we tried to capture a few weeks ago?" Kiba Yuto, the groups swordsmen reminded his leader who suddenly turned to him and clicked her finger "Oh right. The one that…" she paused and desperately tried suppressing the shudder of fear down her back "…if he's here, we must find him and report back to the Maou as this is a clear indication that the Youki are trespassing on our territory."

"Are we sure that's wise?" Kiba questioned earning the attention of the red headed devil "…I mean, from what we know, our entire peerage as well as lady Sitiri's couldn't stop him when he was very weak, badly injured, and confused. If he's at full strength now…" he trailed off and a cold sweat ran down their collective backs, "I'll call my brother when Akeno gets back."

"Whoa!" Issei muttered after he appeared in the safe house, dizzy from the sudden transport and travel through time and space, "Focus on your breathing. You'll be fine, okay?" The soft smile he received from the blond was calming so he focused on his breathing as instructed. He idly noticed that the angel, correction the fallen angel was being carried over his shoulder and being placed on the sofa but clearly being restrained.

"Miyazaki, you here…?" Naruto called out and the boy was stunned when an absolutely beautiful, no a goddess made flesh stepped out from another room "Menma? Why are…?" stopping upon seeing the human, a delicate eyebrow raised upon her pale skin contrasted against the long black hair "…and who is this?"

"This is Issei Hyoudou. He was the meat for this wolf…" Naruto pointing to the fallen upon the coach, drawing the bunnies beady eyes "A fallen? Here in devil territory? Sound like an interesting plot."

"Right. Could let them harm an innocent person whilst I was there. Sorry, I know I've increased your workload." The blonds smile was halfway between sorrow and pleaing but Miyazaki just smiled prettily, Issei almost fainted at the sight, "Oh, Menma, you know that I would never deny you." a halfhearted slap on his bisecep, "So, I know you have a plan?"

"Well…" Naruto looking to his guest who moved to the gestured seat, "…that depends on you, Issei." Naruto sat at the bar, followed swiftly by Miyazaki who went behind him and grabbed the bottle from the top shelf "What…?" the boy pointing at himself blankly, "…me?"

"Of course…" Naruto spoke with an easy going smile, that could relax an adrenaline fuelled toddler, "…we are all thinking, breathing people. Your fate should be up to you, and you alone." As a glass is pushed before the blond who promptly smiled at the lady behind the bar, offering a brief smile, "So, what do you want?" said lady breaking into the teens brief mind trip, snapping his attention to her flawless smile that suddenly dried out his throat "Well, umm…"

"Get him an apple on the rocks…" Naruto spoke but spoken in a growl, a canine like language that most Youki knew as their leader was of said race, the bunny nodding before retrieving the bottle from the lower shelf, grabbing two ice cubes before placing it in a whiskey glass and then pouring the bronze drink. Within moments it was placed before the youngest teen, who stared at it "You never answered my question, Issei?" Naruto cut into his wonder again, snapping him to the smiling blond "Well, umm…" Issei takes a peak at the Miyazaki's firm but sharply rear, "…I want… well, I want…"

"I see now…" Naruto chuckling having put two and two together, he was the student of a pervert after all and this boy was showing similar signs to that pervert "…your are a dragon after all." This caught everyone off guard, even the pretending to sleep fallen angel who shot up before realising her arms, leg, and power were beyond her control.

"Dra… dragon?" Muttered Miyazaki beneath her breath, Naruto's half smile was unnerving as he grips the drink in both hands "A dragon. A powerful one at that. I don't know which one, but my training with Lady Yasaka taught me how to discern smells from one another." Looking to the brown haired boy "Your secret power, the one they…" pointed at the bound winged lady on the yellow sofa, "…and those devils are after you for." Issei looks down at his hands, partly closed "My… hidden power?"

"Yeah. I don't know the specifics exactly…" Naruto confirmed with a shrug "…but seeing little miss bondage over there, I can summise that it is some kind of sacred gear."

"There are only a handful of dragon type gears, Menma." Miyazaki mentioned moving forward to lean on the black marble table top, "I will need to contact my uncle back home to get the information though." Naruto nodded at her before looking to the bound woman, "Say, Raynare, want a drink?" lifting up his glass with a soft smiles against the woman's bewildered look "I , uhh… do you… serious?"

"Well, as long as you don't cause problems." Naruto shrugged his fox ears, tails unraveling as he offered a foxy smirk to the woman who shuddered under the wake of his brief show of power. "Fine." The woman states knowing full well that she had no chance at beating a fuckining nine tailed fox, a fucking kyuubi. A being on par with her bosses boss. She definitely needed a drink, a hard one.

"What about your guest?" Naruto asked but Miyazaki shook her head, "I've left her out again, I didn't not care to bring her out of her 'dream' state."

"Very well. One less headache."

"I want to be a harem king!" Issei abruptly announced jumping to his feet, his empty cup in hand raised up "I will gather a harem of beautiful women with massive oppai!!" silence to the room, all eyes staring at the lone human in bewilderment. Said boy gulped before Naruto snorted, barely able to suppress his laughter as Miyazaki looked to Raynare "…and you dated this guy?" slidling a scotch on the rocks to the fallen that dropped onto the empty stool "Orders were orders." She offered a dry chuckle, backing the the drink in hand, but offered a soft smile "Though, he has a good heart that even I can't dismiss."

"Oppai! Oppai banzai!" Issei cheered and Naruto had to avert his gaze, say his chuckles cause him to spit out his drink. The girls glared at him, finally altering his volumn and forcing him to silence "Well, dragons be dragons." The bunny sighed side glaring at the teen with nothing but curiosity gleamed none the less.

After several minutes the boy was given the supernatural one oh one, the three factions and their history from the unbiased eyes of the Youki. A third party, mostly. Raynare offered her two cents whenever her own faction came up. After many hours, a really good meal as Miyazaki was an amazing chef, and many more drinks the party ended as Naruto stood up "I gotta go. My brother is probably worried about me."

"Ah, could you give him these…" Miyazaki had handed over several large containers, with accompanying the cutlery, "…should be enough for him."

"Nah…" snorting Naruto as he grabbed them, puffing away into smoke and vanishing from sight "…dudes an ogre, could eat a mountain if he was dared too." earning a lady like snort from the bunny lady, chuckling from the kitsune. The two outsiders, missed the passing of paper script, for the controls of the prisoner seals on the fallen, "Can you take out the trash too? I'll owe you one."

"Like the twelve other 'favours' you already owe me?" Naruto snorted as heading to the bedroom, "Yah but ya love me, right?" The woman smirked whilst secretly revealing her bunny tails, wagginer her ass out of sight of the other two guests and winked earning a tired sigh from the kitsune who closes the door upon her antics.

"You two seem close." Raynare states calmly, head resting on her palm, elbow on table, "Haha, yeah… I…" she sighs looking away, playing her part perfectly, "…I'm with his brother right now. He has never looked at me that way." she paused before turning glaring at them both "Don't say a word. Got it!" the both nod frantically, but the bunny notice the gleam in the fallen's eyes just as she calculated it would.

In a random alleyway, many hours later, Akeno would awake with no knowledge of what happened over the last twelve hours.

Naruto returns to the orphanage, a silent flash of yellow drew everyone's attention, the blond grinning foxily "Special delivery." He chuckles bringing out the numerous containers of food, freshly cooked and still warm, "She's good." Ulio comments appearing at his side, "Wasn't forgetful either." handing a slightly smaller container "Man I love that bunny."

It took an hour before the nekomata had finished dressing in new clothes, eating, and a final shower before they headed out under the late evening sun. Walking like a family outing, the inexperienced wearing the anti tracking bracelet for protection, with Ulio and Naruto walking at the rear in casual gear with their weapons hidden beneath their loose clothing, while the two chatting amicably.

They did watch several fallen angels flying search patterns above, but none approached or offered any suspicions moves. As they reached the exit of the town, Naruto signalled to them the forest and they headed into the forest off the road. The whole journey took an hour and a half, the final stretch was only about ten minutes and when they arrived, they spotted a small encampment not to far from the the path. Just as they approached, a certain brown-haired woman he smirked at their startled face "Ya-hu."

"Your back quick." Naruto passing through the group steadily, his steps measured and calm but heavy as he approached his partner in crime "Well, Lady Yasaka was getting edgy." Tenten whispered to him causing Naruto to groan, nod before planting a calm face "Come, we are safe beyond this point."

"With Koyuki here, I'll head back to the house." Ulio informs earning a nod from the two shinobi, "Very well. Tell the lizard I said hi." Naruto states earning a solid nod before turning back to Tenten who nods gesturing to the two rocks on the ground "Stay between them and no alarms."

"Okay. Everyone. Single file." Naruto instructs and everything went without a fuss, the gap closing up after removing said stones and a slight flaring of chakra.

After sealing off the hole, they group moved back towards the road to find a minibus parked and waiting with a pair of three tailed kitsunes waiting for them. Naruto looked to Tenten who shrugged before gesturing to the approaching duo, "Lord Naruto, Lady Tenten, Lady Yasaka has sent us to escort everyone back home." The first spoke after his ninth degree bow, "Very well. We should get moving." Naruto sighed hard, sensing a distant presence upon him, non-hostile, causing Naruto to glare at nothing in particular "I got a feeling I am expected to escort them back despite the growing situation back here."

"Lady Yasaka was pretty insistent on that, lord Naruto." One of the kitsune smiled but no one missed the mirth dancing in her eyes, but his slit eyes narrow upon her and the mirth vanished and a professional detachment settled in. "Let's go."

A hand appeared in the blurry vision, taking it, the man was pulled to his feet and his view of one Naruto Uzumaki appeared with a serious face. "Your names Riser Phenex, right?"

"...you are?"

"Naruto Uzumaki, Kyuubi." Naruto responded as he looked back at the ten winged crow with a hardened gaze, "This warhawk needs to die."

"A Kyuubi, hmpth. Fine. I'll ally with you." Riser dusting off his ruined scarlet suit, "Though inhate to admit this crow is powerful. I may need a hand." A snort caused him to snap to the third member standing opposite the youkai, spotting an average looking boy with two red gaunlets of draconic design. A sacred gear user perhaps "...and you are?"

"Issei Hyooudou. Red Dragon emperor in training. His student." Issei responded firmly whilst staring forward, "Issei? As in 'The perverted trio' Issei?" The red head at the back of all three men, "The one an' only!" thumb up and out to the side, glance back with a grin, "Good to see you again, Germory-san."

"Focus Issei!" Naruto whispered causing the brownette to stiffen, coming back to attention as Kakabial bellowed "So.. more cattle to the slaughter. Perfect. End them!" He roared as his troops roared forward under his name, swooping down into the path of the trio who remained firm at the sight of twelve fallen angels approaching them. "Say, Raiser..." Naruto called out earning a side glance from said devil "...I think its time to introduce this pests to the joys of fire." hand opening as blue fox flame dancing upon his palm. Seeing that Raiser smirks as his own arm flames up, a bright red "You know... I like the way you think. Perhaps after this we can grab a drink after this...?"

"I have a bottle of '36 whiskey, if you're intrested." Naruto commented as his flames grew over his right arm, an eyebrow of confirmation and a growing smirk was the confirmation from Riser. Looking opposite "You ready Issei...?"

"Hai, sensei!" His gauntlets too igniting in a bright red flames, "Got my flames too." grinning like a mad man, "This is going to absolutely badass."

"A devil, a dragon, and a kyuubi, huh?" Naruto muttered as all three took up their fighting stances, "Yeah, this is definitively badass." and even Riser appeared to smirk harder at that, "Let's go!"
