Prologue part 2

In the clearing, 31/10 - 00:00h

After a few minutes of walking, we arrive at the campfire. As soon as I approached it, I noticed two women. One of the women was older, she was wearing a cloak with a hood and the other, younger, was holding a guitar, both on the other side of the campfire. As soon as we arrived, we made a circle around the campfire. It was us, the woman in blue and her friends circling the campfire to the tune of a Celtic song sung and played on the guitar.

When the song ended, the woman in blue went over to the younger woman and explained what she wanted for her. She then speaks close to my ear:

- The next song you'll be able to sing, Ruki!

- I don't think I can sing Celtic songs, but I like the rhythm. - I explain close to her ear.

- Let's play a song of yours that fits this special evening. - she says with a little laugh.

- But what would it be? - I ask in amazement.

- Just listen and you'll find out! - She looks at me enigmatically.

The others are also waiting for the song to begin. As soon as the first notes of the guitar sound, I'm amazed that the youngest woman is able to play this difficult song all by herself. I don't waste any time and start singing the solo, and everyone sings along, alternating between the choir and the melody that is only in Dogma.

P.O.V. Ruki OFF

They are so distracted by singing the only song they know, feeling relaxed and so, that they don't realize that the song is being used as a chant and its lyrics are actually invoking darkness. Black shadows begin to form around the campfire, they rise up and return in the form of black smoke that begins to circle the flames of the campfire, they deliberately let go of their hands and step behind them, embracing them affectionately.

But when the song ends, they remain in their embrace, still swaying to the rhythm of the final melody. Surprise and fear follow as they try to break free of the embrace, but they seem to have doubled their strength and hold them in place.

The older Celtic woman removes her hood, picks up an ancient scroll, and begins to read aloud.

- We will become darkness with the fulfillment of the prophecy of the chosen ones who will give birth to the child of darkness for the human world. So it begins tonight: when the blood moon sets on Halloween night. The chosen ones from the Land of the Rising Sun will stand in the place indicated by the darkness and ritually sing their own song around the fire and seal their fate. On that night, darkness will envelop the world, bringing the perfection of death.

- Do you know these priests? They didn't want to take you, they wanted to protect you from us and the prophecy of darkness.

Ruki shakes in the woman's arms in vain, the others also struggle to free themselves from the embrace that holds them captive.

As soon as the woman speaks into their ears, the black smoke moves toward them and they, like the others, try with their last strength to break free. But all they feel is being enveloped by the smoke that enters their mouths and possesses their bodies and souls. From that moment on, they know what they are and what they can do.

The women let them go when they realize that the ritual and chant have worked. When all the men in the band turn to them and notice that their eye sockets are completely black covering the entire iris, there is no white dot.

They look at them and not only have their eyes changed, but their dark features are malicious with a deep desire on the verge of exploding. They also exude a scent so sexually strong that at the same moment, all five witches become aroused and exhale it.

It doesn't take long for things to get a bit messy, and the chosen five start doing what they came to do. Leave the seeds of evil in the world.

There was nothing romantic or tender about it, the witches knew what was coming and the chosen ones had no time to lose.

In the quickest and easiest position they could find, the witches lifted their skirts and lowered their underwear, while the summoners lowered their pants and underwear.

The act was quick and as clean as the demons could manage. When they ejaculated, they already knew which woman had been impregnated and the Dark Father had been chosen.

The symbol of the Pentagram of Dogma begins to be drawn on the Chosen One's shoulder like a hot iron tattoo. Then the chosen, which takes the ceremonial dagger and cuts her palm, letting the blood run down the cut. Like the others, she got up from the floor and sat facing her beautiful Japanese youkai. She brought her bloodied hand to his shoulder, merging her blood with the Chosen One's, and now they were united as the parents of the Dark Child.

When the others saw that the Chosen One had been marked, their burning desire for her increased. They kissed her with fire and pleasure, making their instincts boil over in a mixture of euphoria and lust.

Then they look into his black eyes, which look like flames, and feel their souls burn, their heartbeats increase to the extreme, causing a cardiac arrest that leads to a collective heart attack. Then, one by one, they fall to the grass, already lifeless, but with a smile on their face, you can see the black smoke coming out of them and returning to the bonfire, and their bodies fall beside them.

The black smoke comes out last from the chosen one. He remains in the arms of the witch, who carefully places him on the ground, stroking his hair and his face, which now looks like that of an angel.

But she feels despair and her tears flow as she looks both ways and sees that her sisters have served as sacrifices in the ritual.

The old woman and the woman with the guitar, who has witnessed everything, come to meet the Chosen One and help her to her feet, their mission now being to take care of the Son of Darkness. She doesn't want to leave his side, though, and keeps stroking his face.

- He's so beautiful! I need him, I love him, and I want him for myself!

The younger woman scolds her.

- You can't have him, he belongs to the darkness now.

The old woman comes closer and tells her why she can't have him.

- How the ritual was accepted, and the prophecy was fulfilled. The darkness took our sisters as a sacrifice so that they could carry the seed of evil and give birth to four more children. This is the legacy of the God of Eternal Night, we can't interfere with the Dark's plans, just gather your things and let's go, they're already waking up.

The two take the Chosen One by the arm and drag her into the forest in the opposite direction of the fire. She turns and takes one last look at her beautiful Chosen One, her eyes filled with tears at having to leave him behind.

(…)

The moonlight was beginning to fade in the sky and the campfire had been reduced to ashes, only the crackling of two embers could be heard. An incessant sound of music broke the silence of the night and startled them awake in the middle of the forest, not knowing what was going on. Everyone is still a little slow and their eyes are a little blurry. They both lift their backs off the ground and look at each other, then realize that the women from the party are lying next to them.

They try to wake them up, but are surprised when they touch them and they don't move, so they pull their arms away and see lifeless bodies with their eyes burnt out. It's a horrible sight, their companions are dead.

Despair overtook the five men present, who turned away from them, stood up quickly and gathered in the center of the circle where the fire was.

Not knowing what else to do, and a little out of survival instinct and adrenaline, they ran and ran, afraid and terrified that whoever or whatever had killed the women was still around and would come back to finish the job by killing them too.

They soon saw that the school and the party lights would be safe, or so they thought.

At school, their friends were worried that they had disappeared without warning; the last time they saw them, they were in the hall dancing and drinking, and then they didn't see them again. The translator who had gone out for a smoke had also returned and was asking for them, the party was coming to an end, and even if they had found company, it was time to go back.

Everyone left the school to find out where they had gone and asked the people at the party if they had seen them. The strangest thing was that the answer was always negative. When they reached the front door, they saw them sitting on the stairs, panting as if they had run a marathon.

Ruki is the first to see the team and the cameras, and shakes the others who saw them at the same time. They get up, hug their friends, and ask them to leave urgently. His friends are worried about the state of despair and fear in which they find themselves, but Halloween can be scary for some unsuspecting people.

The American team arrives with the van and they quickly get in, looking around as if someone is following them, and head for the hotel, where they are sure to be safe.

On the way back, they try to dodge questions about where they were and why they were in such a state.

(…)

Back at the hotel, they went inside without saying a word about what had happened. Everyone was thinking the same thing: "Is it true? Did it really happen? Maybe there was more than alcohol in that punch, some drug that had confused their minds under the influence of Halloween. If it were true, would there be anything on the TV news?" They watched the TV in the lobby while they waited for the elevator. "These deaths should be on the news, but if nothing has been said yet, could it be a sick Halloween prank?"

The elevator arrived, they got in and, in the hallway, said goodnight, even though it was almost daylight, went to their rooms and slept.

The flight back to Japan was scheduled for 6pm. They had slept most of the day, it was after 3pm, and no suitcases had been packed. It was a mess, but if they didn't hurry, they would miss their flight. Although it was fall, it was very hot and they had all chosen to wear tank tops that left their shoulders showing and a cold sweater on their arms due to the air conditioning on the plane. Each of them was carrying a backpack, as well as sunglasses, hats and surgical masks; the elevator that took them to the second floor was completely covered in mirrors.

One of them was looking at the other's back.

- Wow! What's that on your shoulder? - He turns to look at you.

- Does that look like a tattoo? - asks the other.

- You certainly didn't have that yesterday! - Someone else notices.

- Guys, what was in that punch? - asks another about the tattoo.

- We must have been very drunk last night, I don't remember getting a tattoo with the pentagram symbol from the album, in fact, I don't remember anything.

The elevator doors open and they head for the van that will take them to the airport.
