Welcome to the Loud House story of Spooktober! Enjoy!
It was a dark night in Royal Woods. Sora walked along the street of Franklin Avenue as he broke the fourth wall.
"Royal Woods, Michigan. Home of many families. But most well known is the Loud family. 2 parents, 11 kids, specifically 1 boy and 10 girls. They do manage to live up to their last name daily. The Loud family have had many shares of adventures. From slice of life times to high stake adventures to even some encounters of the supernatural."
Sora stopped, standing across the street from the Loud House.
"Encounters like a golf ghost at Lori's college, zombies in Great Lakes City, and especially their ancestors in Loch Loud, Scotland. But the one family member that enjoys that kind of stuff the most is Lucy Loud, the goth child and 7th born in the family, always loving things dark and spooky. Witches, ghosts, zombies, vampires, you name it. Little did she know she would get a chance to be a part of that last department... just not the way she thought..."
Lucy Loud was returning home after a late night stroll with her pet bat Fangs.
"Sigh. It's nights like these that are the best Fangs. Dark, eerie, and a very slight chill in the air." Lucy said to her companion.
Fangs squeaked in agreement.
Lucy arrived back at her family home.
In the living room were her siblings; Lincoln was watching ARGGH! on the couch, Luna was strumming her guitar on his left, Luan was sewing her mime shirt, and Lisa was on the floor writing in her notebook.
"Gloomy evening siblings." Lucy greeted. "The night air was perfect for my evening stroll and the trees created quite the spooky shapes."
"Glad you enjoyed it, spooky sis." Luna said without looking at the goth, strumming a note. "Ooh perfect."
"Bye the way little sis, a package arrived for you when you left. Dad set it in your room." Lincoln said.
Lucy was curious. "A package for me? But I didn't order anything." she said.
"Maybe Pop-Pop or Gramps mailed you a gift." Lincoln guessed.
"Or Rocky's giving you some Sugar, Sugar if you know what I mean." Luna teased, making Lucy blush.
"Or it could be something old and gross from Aunt Ruth she doesn't want anymore." Luan guessed.
"I wouldn't put it past that old neanderthal whom I still cannot believe our paternal grandfather is related to." Lisa muttered.
"This is worth investigation." Lucy said as she went upstairs.
In the bedroom Lucy shared with Lynn, the young goth saw a small package laying on her coffin. She went over and examined it before her eyes widened under her bangs from the return address.
"Gasp! It's from Loch Loud! And from Lucille!" Lucy gasped.
Lucy opened up the package and inside was a note from Lucille. Lucy read it as Lucille's voice echoed in her head.
Dearest Cousin Lucy,
I found this in an old trunk in a secret compartment under my bed during my time alive in the 1600's. They're old spells and incantations. They don't seem to work anymore as I, my family, and Angus have tried to see how they work. Since they are no use to me, I decided to give them to you to add to your little macabre and dark arts collection. Be good with them.
Your Scottish Ghost Cousin,
Lucille Loud.
Lucy looked back at the package and saw several scrolls at the bottom. She pulled them out and examined them.
"Gasp!" Lucy said. "These are scrolls… full of enchanted spells!"
Fangs squeaked in surprise.
Lucy unrolled them and examined the writing. "By the looks of them, they're very ancient indeed. Probably even older than our Scottish Ancestors back when they were actually alive…"
Lucy examined them all and then put them back in the box.
"This is so gonna be the topic during the next Morticians' Club meeting." she said, managing an excited smile.
HIT!
A soccer ball hit the box and it fell over.
"Dang it Lynn!" Lucy scowled.
"Hey I gotta work on my aim! I ain't getting rusty today!" Lynn said from the hallway.
"Sigh." Lucy sighed.
The next day, Lucy had called the Morticians' Club to a meeting at the cemetery.
"This meeting is called to order." said Haiku, banging the skull gavel against the podium. "Morpheus, could you read the minutes of the last meeting?"
"I would, but we ran out of newspapers and I had to put something in Thorn's cage." Morpheus replied.
Thorn the crow screeched from his owner's shoulder.
"Fair enough." Haiku shrugged.
"So Lucy, why did you call this meeting?" asked Bertrand.
"Fellow goths, I have received a special package from… my regular ancestral family over in Scotland." Lucy said.
"Why did she pause and call her family 'regular'?" Boris whispered to Persephone.
"Who cares? It must be important if she called us here to discuss it." she replied.
Lucy unrolled the scrolls. "These are ancient spells, most likely from the early 17th century, maybe even the 16th."
"Ooh!" the goths said in awe.
"Ancient spells of old? They sound fascinating!" said Dante, Virgil nodding in agreement, as Dante petted him.
"So what kind of spells do they cast?" asked Haiku.
"Don't know. I wished to share the experience with you all." Lucy replied.
"You make Boris blush." Boris smiled.
The club gathered around and studied the scrolls. Lucy picked up one.
"Let's see here… Rain from cloud, Ray from sun, Make this weather worthy of a dark one."
Suddenly it began to rain around them.
"OOH!" everyone gasped before the rain eventually subsided.
"Egads, it made it rain!" exclaimed Bertrand.
"Not very long though. Very old spell indeed." said Haiku.
"Wow let me try one!" Dante said as he snagged another scroll. "Skin of human, Scalp of head, Hair upon you beyond the dead."
POOF!
Before Boris knew it, a fancy, stylish, blonde mullet appeared on his head.
"Oooooh!" everyone exclaimed.
"Boris, you have hair!" exclaimed Morpheus.
"Wow! Boris never imagined being a blonde!" Boris said in amazement, flexing his hair… only for it to fall apart. "Oh, that must be the 'dead' part." he mumbled.
Haiku unrolled another old scroll. "Hmm… Clouds in the sky, Grass on the ground, Lack the gravity all around."
At that moment, the goths began to float into the air.
"Whoa! Are we flying?!" gasped Dante.
"By the poems of Egdar Allen Poe, we are!" exclaimed Bertrand.
"Just like a bat!" cheered Boris.
But it didn't last long and they landed on the ground with loud "Oofs!"
"Dang it! It lasted too short…" groaned Dante.
"These spells really are old." Persephone said as she got up, rubbing her head.
"Guess whoever created them didn't have much of an influence like we all do." said Haiku.
"Hark! One more scroll awaits!" Bertrand said, gesturing to the box.
"'Hark'? What is this, 1843?" asked Dante.
Lucy walked back to the box and pulled out the last scroll. She unrolled it and was surprised.
"Whoa."
"What? Is it written in another language?" asked Haiku.
"No… it's written in red instead of black. It must be a special spell." Lucy said. "This may conclude our little ancient spell demonstration in the best, dark way ever."
"Well what are you waiting for Lucy?" asked Morpehus. "Read it already!"
Lucy cleared her throat and did. "Teeth so sharp, Skin pale as white, Transformation is here in sight. Lust for blood, Strong, Fast, and High, A creature of the night, here say I!"
Suddenly a red burst of magic shot out from the scroll and struck all 7 goth kids. They gasped and yelled in alarm and slight pain as the magic seeped around them and into their bodies.
They groaned and staggered around in pain, clutching their heads. Fangs, Thorn, and Virgil looked on in worry for their human friends.
We see Lucy's top sharp teeth begin to grow longer, bags appear under Haiku's eyes, Dante's skin go paler, Persephone's hair growing more disheveled, and Morpheus' eyes go red.
After 5 minutes, the red magic faded from the 7 kids. But now they looked… different.
"Whoa… what just happened?" asked Dante.
"My teeth feel longer…" said Dante.
"So do mine!" said Bertrand.
"Why do we have a hint of vanilla scent all of a sudden?" asked Boris.
Lucy felt her teeth. "These feel like… fangs…" she said.
Everyone looked at each other.
"Wait a minute… we look like vampires!" said Morpehus.
"That can't be!" said Persephone. "Can it?"
"Well we got the looks." said Haiku. "The fangs, the pale skin, the scent, the bags under the eyes."
"Don't Lucy's siblings have bags under their eyes?" Boris pointed out.
"Lincoln, Lori, and Leni got them from dealing with all of us and each other at home." said Lucy. "But… all of this feels so… real…"
"How can we be sure?" asked Dante when he suddenly hissed. "Whoa! That felt extra sinister!"
Bertrand suddenly floated into the air. "Holy coffin grease! I'm floating! And nothing's wearing off!" he exclaimed.
Boris suddenly ran from his spot to the cemetery equipment shed and back within 3 seconds. Everyone just saw a blur.
"Whoa! Boris has superspeed!" he exclaimed.
Haiku suddenly lifted up a tall gravestone with ease. "Whoa. I'm stronger than a jock." she said in surprise.
"Gasp! Fellow goths… I know what happened… this spell turned us… into vampires!" Lucy said in realization.
"Gasp!" the goths "gasped."
They grinned excitedly, Lucy, Haiku, Persephone, and even Dante squealing.
"Our lifelong dream of being part of the undead has finally come to pass!" said Bertrand.
"This is more exciting than being fake vampires on Vampires of Melancholia!" said Boris.
"We are so gonna have a spooky time with this!" said Haiku.
"I actually feel some joyful excitement." Lucy admitted with a smile. "I have to remember to thank Lucille for this."
Loch Loud, 2½ weeks earlier:
In her old bedroom, Lucille was packing up the spell scrolls to send to her lookalike descendant.
"I hope Lucy has better luck with these spells than I do." she said. "I've been out of practice for a while. Then again, not like these will do me any good these days as I help me family and Angus with Loch Loud."
Lucille then came across the last spell and opened the scroll. "Gasp! A vampire spell. Oh Lucy will love-" She cut herself off when she saw writing color. "Bigger gasp! Red ink? That means it's a dangerous spell… I cannot let my cousin have this in her hands. It could corrupt her beyond control."
"Lucille! I need yer presence in the garden!" came Angus' voice.
"Coming Angus!" Lucille said as she floated out of her room, tossing the spell scroll behind her.
But unbeknownst to Lucille, it landed in the box she was planning to send to Lucy.
Much later, Lucille floated back into her room.
"I'll be down in a second! I'm just getting a package ready!" she said, closing the flaps without looking.
She did look when she used packing tape to seal it up and wrote down the address to the Loud House. Little did she know she put in one extra scroll… a dangerous one.
Front Door:
Angus had just finished having a discussion with Myrtle's old boss, X.
"We're very flattered that you're looking out for us, Miss X." Angus smiled.
"As I told Agent 28, after what happened with the Dufus family within the span of 37 years, we will always protect our agents' families, alive or even dead." X said. "Good day, your majesty."
And she left the castle grounds as Lucille floated up.
"Ah there you are lass. We have some gardening to do." Angus said as he walked into the foyer, the ghost following.
"When we're done, I have mail to send out to my lookalike cousin." Lucille said.
"Oh, of course! I'm sure whatever you have to send to Lucy, she will enjoy it an awful lot." Angus smiled.
"I know she will." Lucille said, her mouth creaking into a grin.
Present:
The club was trying out their new vampire powers.
"Let's see how high I can fly!" said Morpheus.
He concentrated and then floated into the air. He ascended higher before he flew past the spooky cemetery trees.
"Oh yeah! I can do get used to this!" he grinned.
"Let's see how strong I can be." said Haiku.
Haiku picked up Hank the Groundskeeper's tractor and lifted it into the air without any strain.
"Wow. I really am stronger than ever." Haiku grinned.
"I bet can cross the busy traffic area with ease!" said Persephone.
In a blur, Persephone superspeed out of the graveyard and across the street going in between every single vehicle going across it in either direction. Everyone jumped from the blur.
"What the heck?!" shouted Scoots.
"What was that?!" Mr. Grouse yelled.
"Who's running rampant through the streets?!" yelled Principal Huggins.
Persephone raced back to her friends. "No scratch. Child's play." she smirked.
"You think our fangs work?" asked Dante.
Then a feral looking rat scurried by and crashed into the pets. The rat hissed at them and Virgil hissed back. But just before either animal could get into a scuffle, Lucy snatched the rat and sunk her fangs into it.
The club watched in blue fascination as Lucy drained the blood from the rat until it went limp in her grasp. When the rat was out of blood, Lucy dropped it and sighed in relief, her fangs stained red.
"Wow. That was surprisingly tasty." Lucy said. "Gotta remember not to do that to Bitey or Lana will kill me."
"So we can drain and drink blood…" Haiku mused.
"One last test." said Bertrand. "Let us see if we can become… a BAT!"
Suddenly on a puff of purple smoke, each Mortician's Club member turned into small, black bats like Fangs. The only difference was that they retained their hairstyles.
"O. we're now the flying creatures of the night!" exclaimed Bertrand.
"There is happiness in the world. And it is dark, cold, and undead." Haiku said.
"Meeting adjourned." said Lucy as she turned back to human form and grabbed the spells. "Now let us go home and enjoy this gift my ancestor gave us."
"What about our families?" Dante asked as the rest turned into their human form.
"All in due time Dante. All in due time…" said Bertrand, patting his back.
And the club went their separate ways.
Loud House:
Lincoln was reading David Steele on the couch while Lisa was testing some molecules on the coffee table.
"Shouldn't you be doing your experiments in your room?" Lincoln asked.
"Normally elder brother, I would, but our youngest sibling unit is asleep and our parental units say that if I were to awaken her from her REM Cycle or endanger her during one, my experiment equipment will be confiscated for several fortnights." she replied.
"Understandable." Lucy said as she appeared out of nowhere.
Lincoln and Lisa jumped, the former falling off the couch.
"Agh! Dang it."
Lincoln got up and he and Lisa gasped at the sight of Lucy.
Aside from the disheveled hair and the fangs, Lucy was now sporting her vampire cape, similar to the one from her fantasy as Count Lucilla.
"Good morrow Lincoln and Lisa." she said before hissing.
"Geez Lucy, you're really going out with the vampire look." commented Lincoln.
"It almost looks more real than your usual disguise for sentimental value." Lisa said, adjusting her glasses.
"Oh no. This is no disguise." Lucy said. "This is the real deal. I am a genuine vampire now."
"You are?" Lincoln asked.
Lisa scoffed. "For the love of Newton, that is preposterous." she said. "Lucy is obviously playing around-how are you floating right now!?"
Lucy was floating in the air. She flew around her siblings before landing on the ground.
"Whoa! Lucy, how did you do that?!" Lincoln asked.
"I told you elder brother, I'm a creature of the undead now." Lucy said before transforming into a bat.
Lincoln and Lisa gasped in shock.
"Pretty wicked huh?" Lucy asked before hissing loudly.
The other sisters came downstairs.
"What's going on down here?" asked Luna.
"Is that Fangs?" asked Lana, pointing at the bat.
"No, Fangs is in our room hanging upside down." said Lynn.
"Um… actually that bat is…" Lincoln began.
Lucy suddenly transformers back to normal. "Me."
Everyone jumped and gasped.
"LUCY?!" they cried.
"Whoa! Since when can you turn into a bat?!" asked Lana.
"Since never!" Luna replied.
"Actually, thanks to a spell scroll Lucille sent me all the way from Scotland, me and my friends can." Lucy replied.
"Wow, talk about batty!" Luan punned before laughing. "Get it?"
Everyone groaned.
"I got it." Lucy said, suddenly appearing behind Luan, making her jump. "Super speed."
"This is freaky." said Lola.
"More like bonkers." said Lynn.
"Lucille's spell did this to you? Sounds powerful." said Leni.
"Yes! My friends and I are gonna enjoy this for our new supernatural abilities and happiness as long as this lasts!" Lucy said as she flew back into the air.
Then, for a split second, Lucy suddenly hissed and growled in a ferocious way.
Everyone jumped before Lucy regained her composure.
"Apologies. Guess that was the dark side of being a vampire. Quite enjoyable." Lucy said as she flew upstairs.
"Awesome! We got a vampire for a sister!" Lana grinned.
"Bat sister!" Lily babbled.
"Did you guys see the way she growled like an animal?" Lincoln asked. "Not even Lana can growl like that."
"It's probably just a vampire thing bro." Luna said. "Luce knows more about them than us."
"Guess we'll just have to see how long this lasts." said Lola. "Ugh as if one bat in the house was enough…"
Lincoln and Lisa traded glances. "I'm happy for Lucy but… I have a slightly bad feeling about this…" Lincoln admitted.
"As do I, elder brother." Lisa said. "Hmm… I suppose we will have to see how this progresses with our spooky sister unit being a homo sapien homovorus, street name: vampire."
Throughout the next day, the Mortician's Club was enjoying their new vampire abilities and the perks that came with them.
Lucy flew across the sky as a bat, alongside Fangs.
"I am so glad we're not turning to dust in the sun. That would ruin this dark flight." Lucy said.
Fangs squeaked in agreement.
Haiku hung upside down in a tree as a bat.
"Sigh. This is much easier… and more comfortable." she said.
Boris was racing around the park with his superspeed. Those that were going for a jog were shocked.
"Look at him go!" said Margo.
"How is he doing that?!" asked Carla.
Boris sped up to them. "Boris is simply spry and fast!" he said before speeding off.
Dante was arm-wrestling Lynn at the park.
"Sorry Dante, but I never skip arm day. These babies will own you!" Lynn boasted.
But to the jock's shock, Dante not only slammed her arm onto the table, but the force was so hard he sent Lynn crashing through the table and sending her right into the ground.
"What the heck?!" she yelled.
"Sorry Lynn! But I guess my undead abilities own you and your muscles!" Dante laughed before he flew off.
Morpheus was at the gym lifting 200 pounds in weights with little effort.
"How is he doing that?!" a muscular man asked.
"That kid's small yet strong as an ox!" said another muscular man.
Morpheus walked over while lifting the weights with only one hand. "What can I say? It's a dark gift." he smirked.
Persephone was waiting in line at Burpin' Burger. But the line was very long and went out the door close to the road. Her stomach rumbled.
"I'll never satisfy my hunger if the line takes an eternity." she grumbled before she had an idea. "Hey everyone in line for Burpin' Burger!" she called.
Surprisingly, everyone turned to face her.
"Oh hey sugar! What's on your mind?" asked Cheryl.
Persephone smirked as her eyes glowed red.
The eyes of everyone in line glowed too as they all stared blankly at her. Persephone smirked. They were under her control.
"Please move to the side so I may receive some food." she said. "You mortals can get back in line when I depart the premises."
In complete unison without blinking, everyone in line moved two steps back, clearing the entrance.
"Go ahead sugar…" said Meryl.
"You're first young lady…" said Mr. Grouse.
"Go ahead, Tall Mistress of the Dark…" said Kara.
"Much obliged, Normies." Persephone said as she stepped into the building.
Persephone walked up to the cash register where Grant was organizing the drawer.
"OK everyone, drawer is all good to… go?" he asked in surprise when he saw that the line was moved with Persephone in front.
"One number 7 with Devil Sauce." Persephone said, setting down cash. "To go…"
Stunned, Grant gave the spooky goth vampire a bag and drink.
"Pleasure doing business with you." said Persephone as she walked off… though not before snapping her fingers and everyone was out of her trance.
"Uh what just happened?" asked Mr. Grouse.
"My head feels all fuzzy!" said Meyrl.
"My eyes feel dry." said Kara, blinking multiple times.
Bertrand was in bat form hanging upside down in a tree near the Food n' Fuel. His super hearing picked up Flip's voice within the building.
"Oh boy Nacho! I really got them bozos good with that 'motor oil' exchange! Boy they really know how to cough up big bucks for Ol' Flip!" came Flip's voice.
"Ah the perks of super sonic bat ears…" Bertrand mused as he flew down and turned back to human. "And still having a mobile device on your person…" he added, pulling out his phone.
The scene cuts to a cop talking to Flip.
"Fraudulent motor oil eh? You will be paying back the customers you swindled and pay a hefty fine plus jury duty." he said.
"Dang it!" Flip groaned in despair.
Bertrand laughed from his tip off… which slowly turned from going "Ha ha. Ha ha." into a sinister laugh. A little… too sinister. He quickly cleared this throat and dashed off.
The next day, the club was in the Loud House' backyard.
"This really is the best gift we could've ever gotten." Lucy said happily.
"Being a vampire in reality is much more fun than in a dark dream." Haiku said in agreement, hissing for fun.
The club laughed.
"I hope this never ends!" Dante cheered.
"Oh yes! Why go back to being a mortal when we can fly, shapeshift into a bat, and go at unimaginable speed?" questioned Morpheus.
At that moment, Clyde came up on his bike.
"Hey Morticians' Club! Don't mind me, just parking over here!" he said.
The club turned to face Clyde… and their faces shifted to menacing smiles, baring their fangs.
"Of course Clyde…" Haiku said.
"Run along… let your blood flow…" said Persephone.
"Sweet… tender… blood…" said Boris, licking his teeth.
Clyde was immediately creeped out. "Uh… ok then…" he said, going up to the back door. "See ya around I guess?"
The club suddenly hissed loudly, making Clyde yelp and run inside.
"Scared little mortal…" huffed Haiku.
"Humans being scared is quite fun to witness." commented Bertrand.
The seven goths laughed… which slowly turned maniacal and louder.
By the tree, Fangs, Thorn, and Virgil watched them laugh and couldn't help but worry for their owners and their friends.
Inside, Clyde met up with Lincoln who was eating a peanut butter and sauerkraut sandwich.
"Boy, ever since you told me about your sister and her friends becoming vampires, their creepiness has gone from 10 to, well, not 11, more like 50." Clyde said.
"I know." Lincoln nodded. "And to be honest Clyde, I'm starting to get a little worried. Earlier today, Lucy was acting strange. And not in her usual, spooky way… more like… unsettling…"
Flashbacks:
As Lincoln woke up from his sleep, he was met face to face with Lucy who was floating upside down.
"GAH!" he yelled as he jumped out of bed. "Lucy what the heck?!"
"You are quite silent when you sleep." Lucy said. "Like you can't hear a thing… very fitting if you ask me…"
She landed on the ground and walked out the door. Lincoln blinked.
Another time, Lucy was walking to the bathroom when Lynn bumped into her. Lucy turned around and roared loudly, making Lynn jump.
"Whoa geez Luce! Sorry, it was just a bump!" Lynn cried.
Lucy calmed down. "Just watch where you're going sister…" she hissed as she slid into the bathroom.
Another time, Lucy spotted Bitey and she licked her lips. Before Bitey knew it, Lucy picked him up very quickly and zoomed to her bedroom.
"Such a tender rat… Lana takes such good care of you…" Lucy hummed as she barred her fangs.
"Has anyone seen Bitey?" Lana called.
Lucy quickly retracted her fangs and raced out to the hall. "Here Lana. Must've wandered into my room." she said before going back into said room and slammed the door.
Lana blinked. "Uh… thanks Luce!" She looked down at a shaken Bitey. "What's with you boy?" she asked, perplexed.
Another time, Lisa was working on a device that looked like a helmet when she accidentally cut her finger right through her latex glove.
"Gah fiddlesticks!" Lisa winced. "I need better work gloves."
"Did you cut yourself?"
Lisa yelped and fell off the stool as Lucy appeared behind her.
"Allow me to tend to your… bleeding wound…" Lucy said oddly.
"Uh Lucy, what do you mean by-"
Lisa was cut off when Lucy took her bleeding finger and suddenly began to drink some of the blood. Lisa stared in shock.
This lasted 5 seconds before Lucy let go.
"Such young blood… very good for my taste…" Lucy said as she smiled at Lisa, her fangs stained in blood. "Hope you feel… better…"
And Lucy slid out of the room.
Lisa stared in bewilderment as she retrieved the First Aid kit from her closet. "Of all the way to treat my boo-boo, that was really unsettling." she said.
Present:
Clyde was taken aback. "Wow… that does sound creepy." he said.
"Evidently, you are correct Clyde."
The boys looked to see Lisa walk in with a helmet coated in wires.
"I feel as though something has gone away with our pale sister's behavior." Lisa said. "So I have invented a device to measure her behavioral levels in her cranium. Or in terms for you 12-year-old homosapiens to understand, a helmet to detect behavior levels in her head."
"I'd be careful if I were you Lisa. Lucy and her friends may not want that on their heads right now." said Lincoln. "They might get mad that you're using them for an experiment."
"Which is why I have arranged for someone to do it for me. Someone they trust." said Lisa.
Fangs flew in through the doggy door and took the helmet before flying out.
Fangs flew up to the group who were writing in their poetry books. He squeaked at Lucy.
Lucy looked up from her poetry book. "Hello Fangs… what do you have there?" she questioned.
Fangs simply squeaked.
"A regular bike helmet?" Lucy said, not believing it. "Looks like something Lisa made-"
Before Lucy could finish, Fangs dropped the helmet onto her head.
"Fangs! What are you doing?!" Lucy suddenly snapped.
The rest of the club looked up from their books and hissed at Fangs.
The little bat tried his best to remain brave until a ding was heard on the helmet.
Lucy threw the helmet off and Fangs managed to catch it with his little feet.
"Keep Lisa's infernal gadgets AWAY FROM US YOU BAT!" Lucy roared, suddenly growling.
The other goths hissed and growled too.
Fangs quickly flew off through the doggy door and back into the house. He dropped the helmet into Lisa's hands.
"Thank you, chiroptera." she said before going upstairs.
"Wow… that's the first time I've seen Lucy snap at Fangs like that…" Lincoln said, surprised.
"To be fair, he did drop the helmet right onto her head." Clyde pointed out.
"Yeah but she never speaks to him in that kind of tone. Lucy's not the one to raise her voice like that, even when he's in trouble. Like knocking over stuff or leaving bat guano indoors." Lincoln said.
Fangs squeaked while shivering a bit as he perched himself on Lincoln's shoulder.
"Hey hey, it's ok buddy." Lincoln soothed, rubbing Fangs' head with his finger. "We'll figure out what's going on with Lucy and her friends."
Fangs squeaked with a smile.
Upstairs, Lisa was looking over some stuff on her laptop. Cords were connected to said device and reading the readings. Chimes were heard and Lisa looked at the results.
"Hmm… these are quite the results…" she hummed.
Lisa then looked over something she took from Lucy's room: The spell scrolls.
She looked at the four written in black and one in red.
"Hmm… the differences in ink could mean something…" Lisa mused, typing on her computer.
Some time later, Lincoln and Clyde came upstairs.
"You wanted to see us Lisa?" Clyde asked.
Lisa closed the door. "Gentlemen, I have some bad news." she said. "I ran a diagnostics on Lucy's behavioral levels thanks to the helmet's quick scan." She showed a bar chart. "Lucy's brain displays levels of anger, violence and maliciousness. At an unusual level too. This kind of level could be considered… dangerous."
"That does sound bad." said Clyde.
"While I waited for the results, I emailed Angus about the scrolls Lucille sent Lucy in the mail." Lisa continued. "I had asked about the writing. According to him, the spells written in black ink are fairly normal. But the ones written in red are dangerous. Badly infected magic if you will."
"Badly infected?" Lincoln asked.
"I decided to look into more history of magic users in Scotland during our ancestor's time alive." Lisa said. "And apparently, in the late 1500's, a group of individuals had been rumored to have been magical. They attempted to archive their magic spells on scrolls to pass on to new generations. But one of them had darkness in her heart. When she archived the vampire spell, it was infected by her dark magic after combining with the rest of the group's. When this was discovered, she was exiled from the group for her blackened magic and heart,"
Lincoln and Clyde's eyes widened. "So Lucy and her friends have been infected by a bad spell?" asked Lincoln.
"Precisely." Lisa said. "The evil magic within the spell appears to have slowly corrupted their minds. It is turning them more dark, sinister, violent, and kinda feral."
Suddenly, they heard what sounded like a combination of loud hissing and roaring.
"Like that?" Clyde asked nervously.
"Precisely." Lisa gulped.
The three ran across to the twins' room and looked out the window.
The 7 Morticians' Club members were now floating in the air. But they seemed extra feral and vicious. Their hair was extra disheveled, their teeth more sharp than ever, and their eyes were glowing a blood red. (though it was hard to tell with Lucy thanks to her bangs)
"Blood… must… have blood…" hissed Morpehus.
"Humans and animals all around… perfect prey…" Haiku grinned maliciously.
"Come my fellow Morticians… let us FEAST!" Lucy declared.
And the group turned to bats and let out loud screeches as they flew towards town.
"We gotta stop them before they drink so many people's blood and kill them!" cried Lincoln.
"Or worse, turn them into blood-sucking creatures of the night while infected by a spell." said Lisa.
"Can we even take them on?!" asked Clyde, nervous. "These are vampires, not ghosts or spies!"
"We have to! We have to save my sister and her friends!" said Lincoln, determined. "Lisa, is there anyway to stop them?"
"Exploiting the weaknesses of a vampire will be your best tool." Lisa replied. "As for the spell itself, I asked Angus to tell Lucille. Our ancestor said a reversal spell should be at the bottom. The magic group put them there as a failsafe should any evil spells reign upon them. But we need to immobilize the vampires in order to do that."
"Then we'd better get going!" said Lincoln. "Vampire weaknesses… let's see…"
A montage showed the trio gathering various objects. Garlic, bottles of pumpkin spice, and loading them into bags and launchers.
"Are these our only forms of self defense?" Clyde asked.
"There's no way I'm using steaks or holy water on my sister and her friends." Lincoln said.
"Good point. I'm not killing them either." Clyde said in agreement.
"In actuality, holy water is considered-" Lisa began.
"Lisa, we don't have time!" Lincoln interrupted. "With our sisters out with their own stuff we're the last line of defense! Come on!"
They raced to their bikes in or by the garage.
"So what's the plan?" asked Clyde.
"Immobilize them and then capture them in special nets I invented." said Lisa, handing them small net launchers. "Designed to resist their power. We each capture two and then work together on the final vampire."
"Sounds good!" said Lincoln.
And they biked away in separate directions.
Bertrand flew across town and landed on the playground, baring his fangs to the children.
"Such youthful humans… fresh blood ready to drink!" he maliciously grinned.
The kids screamed and ran for their lives. But just as Bertrand gave chase, Lincoln biked up.
"Not so fast Bertrand!" he shouted. "Their blood is not for your taking!"
"Lucy's mortal brother? Out of my way before I force my fangs into your veins!" Bertrand growled.
"Never!" Lincoln shouted.
"Fine!" Bertrand hissed, baring his fangs and he rushed at Lincoln.
Lincoln jumped off his bike to dodge the attack. Lincoln fired garlic from his blaster at him. Bertrand dodged the attacks and continued to pursue his new victim.
"Nice try mortal!" he growled.
He tried to pin Lincoln to the ground, but he rolled out of the way before landing on the ground.
"Not bad for a human!" Bertrand hissed.
"When you live with a large family, you get used to ducking and dodging!" Lincoln replied when Bertrand suddenly pinned him to the ground.
"But alas, I'm afraid it's time to feast!" Bertrand smirked.
Lincoln yelped as Bertrand tried to bite him, but he moved his head from side to side.
"Quit moving your neck!" Bertrand hissed.
But then Lincoln knocked him in the face with a rock.
"Agh! You brat!" Bertrand snapped.
"A brat who's prepared!" Lincoln smirked. "PUMPKIN SPICE!"
He smashed a small bottle of pumpkin spice against Bertrand's face.
"GAH! THE SMELL OF PUMPKIN! IT'S SO RANCID!" Bertrand yelled, fanning his face.
He turned into a bat and tried to fly away from the smell, only for Lincoln to shoot a net to capture him.
"Ha ha! Gotcha!" Lincoln grinned.
"Let me out!" Bertrand yelled as he tried to break the net, but he was unable to. "Gah! Why in the name of Edgar Allen Poe isn't this working?!"
Lincoln grabbed the captured vampire. "Sorry pal, but this is ending now!" he said.
Meanwhile, Clyde biked towards where Morpehus was attacking the hospital. Doctors, nurses, patients, and visitors ran away screaming as he came flying out in bat form carrying blood bags.
"A perfect feast for a perfect vampire!" Morpheus grinned.
"Hey! That blood is for a donation!" Clyde yelled.
Morpheus spotted the bespectacled kid. "Ah yes, the normie who used to nosebleed at the sight of Lucy's eldest sister." he hummed. "An endless supply I will drain right out of you!"
He dropped the blood bags and charged at Clyde. Clyde yelped and fired the garlic blaster, but Morpheus kept dodging.
"He's too fast!" Clyde cried.
Morpheus cackled. "Nice try mortal! But nothing can withstand a vampire!" he hissed.
He swooped down repeatedly trying to bite Clyde. Clyde ducked and jumped until Morpheus transformed back to his human form and pinned him against the wall.
"So sorry little cretin, but your attack has failed in such a miserable way!" Morpheus taunted, showing off his fangs. "Any last words?"
"Y-Yeah!" Clyde said nervously. "You need a breath mint!"
Morpheus breathed into his hand and sniffed it. "Hmm, perhaps this raccoon blood I got from the woods is a little unnerving…" he mused.
"Then let me help you!" Clyde yelled, shoving a piece of garlic into Morpehus' mouth.
Morpheus coughed and spluttered, letting Clyde go and grabbing his neck.
"AGH! GARLIC! OH IT'S SO RANCID!" he gagged, stumbling around.
"Yep! Classic vampire weakness!" Clyde smirked.
Morpheus scowled and tried to grab Clyde, but he struggled thanks to the garlic smell affecting his senses and Clyde easily dodged him. Clyde then saw the pile of blood bank bags and had an idea.
"Here! Let me help you more!" he said, throwing one bag into the air.
"PRECIOUS BLOOD!" Morpheus yelled, going after the bag as he turned into a bat to fly.
But that proved to be a mistake. As soon as Morpheus caught the bag, Clyde fired a net that trapped him. He landed in Clyde's grasp.
"NO! Let me out! Let me out of this! How am I trapped?!" Morpheus yelled.
"Hope you don't haunt me for this after this whole thing's over." Clyde said.
Persephone spotted Gus' Games and Grub and flew to front door.
"So many mortals… well fed from food and energetic from games… perfect pickings…" she grinned.
"Evidently my vampire foe, no one will be picked or even drained today."
Lisa biked up, blaster ready.
"Lucy's braniac of a sister?" scowled Persephone. "I suppose you will have to do first…" She smirked and extended her fangs. "Smart kid, smart brain… juicy blood."
"I'm afraid that shall not pass." Lisa said before aiming her blaster. "NOW EAT ALLIUM SATIVUM!"
Lisa fired pieces garlic, but Persephone was too fast and dodged them with ease. She super sped up to Lisa.
"Too slow." she smirked, punching her in the face.
Lisa flew back with a yell, but quickly got up. "Time for the Cucurbita pepo!" she declared, dropping in pumpkin spice bottles.
She fired the bottles and they exploded around Persephone, but she turned into a bat and took to the air, dodging the pumpkin spice explosions.
"And here I thought you were smart. Guess mediocre blood will do before the test." Persephone said, baring her fangs and giving chase towards Lisa.
Lisa yelped and ran for her bike and rode away with Persephone in hot pursuit.
But then Lisa spotted a bakery down the street and had an idea when she spotted something in the window.
"Perfect." the genius smirked as she braked to a halt in front of it. "Alright Perspehone, I can bike no further!" she called.
Persephone smirked. "A wise decision. Perhaps you are smart after all."
Persephone dove down towards Lisa, fangs ready.
But Lisa smirked and hopped off her bike. Persephone realized her mistake too late as she crashed through the window and landed… in a pumpkin pie.
"Agh! Not pumpkin pie! It's so putrid and sticky!" Persephone yelled as she flew out of it and tried to get the pie off of her.
But then Lisa fired a net, restraining Persephone. "You were right! I am smart. Just not the way you thought." she smirked.
"Foolish mortal! Let me go!" she demanded.
"Not a hope!" Lisa retorted, grabbing the net. "You're stuck, you small, foolish vampire. Don't you understand that?" (1)
Lincoln, with a trapped Bertrand's net tied to his bike, biked down the road looking for the Mortician Club vampires. Then he heard a commotion from an alleyway.
"Better investigate that." he murmured.
Lincoln biked towards a dumpster. There stood Dante with a dead rat in his fangs. He spat out the drained rodent and grinned.
"Finally! A human! I've been craving human blood for hours!" he smirked.
"Sorry Dante, but my blood isn't yours!" Lincoln sneered, firing pieces of garlic at him.
Dante yelped and flew away from the garlic as it struck the dumpster. He growled and charged at Lincoln.
Lincoln yelped and jumped off his bike before Dante could grab him. But then Dante landed on top of him and they got into a scuffle.
"Let me go!" Lincoln yelled.
"Not until I drain your precious blood!" Dante hissed, trying to bite Lincoln's neck.
Lincoln grabbed some pumpkin spice and tried to smash it in Dante's face, but he smacked it out of his hand and tried to bite it. Lincoln retracted his hand and he and Dante wrestled for control.
Lincoln eventually got himself out of the scuffle as he and Dante got back on their feet. And out of the blue, Lincoln slapped Dante across the face.
Dante stared in shock before growling. Lincoln paled, realizing he just slapped a menacing vampire.
"YOU'RE DEAD MORTAL!" Dante roared as he flew over and picked Lincoln up before throwing him into the dumpster.
Lincoln yelled as he landed, the dumpster doors closing.
Dante laughed as he landed on the ground. "Well well well, the prey is cornered… time to feast!"
Suddenly, Lincoln burst out of the dumpster with two iron spikes. He yelled as he pounced on top of Dante and pinned his shirt against a wooden crate.
"Trying to stab me?" Dante hissed.
"No. I'm not gonna kill you!" Lincoln retorted.
"Well that was a dumb idea." Dante smirked as he turned into a bat, freeing himself. Dante laughed in victory. "See! I'm free as a-!"
He was cut off as a net was fired and trapped him as he landed on the ground.
"Gotcha." Lincoln smirked, picking up the net.
"Let me out of this infernal trap!" Dante yelled.
"Sorry Dante, but as my sister Luna would probably say, you ain't bleeding me dry like a dang vampire." Lincoln replied.
Clyde, with Morpehus' net laying in his handlebar basket, spotted Haiku using her hypnosis on some people in Tall Timbers Park.
"Line up you pathetic mortals." she ordered. "Now here's what's gonna happen: I will bite your necks one by one and then drain your blood. And if you're lucky, you'll become a vampire. Just like me."
"Of course, Master…" Margo said in a trance.
"Our blood belongs to you…" Zach said in a trance.
"Take it all, Lady Haiku..." Sam said in a trance.
"Here's my neck vein…" said Huggins, tugging his shirt collar to reveal his neck.
"Perfect…" Haiku grinned. "Time to eat-"
"NOOOOO!"
Before Haiku even realized it, Clyde ran into her with his bike, breaking the hypnosis.
Everyone was out of their trance.
"What happened…?" groaned Margo.
"My head's all fuzzy again…" groaned Mr. Grouse.
"Everyone run!" Clyde shouted.
"Why Clyde?" Zach asked.
Clyde realized that they didn't know a vampire was in the park. And that it was Haiku. Then he had an idea.
"Uh… everything is half off at the mall!" he quickly said.
"Half off?!" Meryl grinned.
"I could use a fresh suit." Huggins mused.
"I gotta get some new music discs!" Sam said giddily.
And everyone Haiku had had in a trance ran off for the mall.
"Phew!" Clyde said in relief. "They're safe."
"You aren't!"
Clyde paled when he saw Haiku storm up to her, teeth clenched, eyes glowing, and very angry.
"That was my meal you sent running away. But I suppose you will have to do." she growled.
Clyde began to sweat nervously. "Uh, e-easy Haiku! It's me, Clyde! We shared a dance at school? Th-The Sadie Hawkins Dance!"
"A mere distant memory human." Haiku sneered. "And now… your blood belongs to ME!"
Haiku raced at Clyde and he barely had time to get out of the way before she could trap him. She hissed and flew at him as Clyde fired garlic at her. Haiku punched them away with ease or even caught them and threw them back at Clyde at full force. Clyde yelped and ran for cover.
"Insolent brat!" she scowled, hissing as she ran back at Clyde.
She grabbed Clyde and flew him up into the air.
"H-Hey! L-Let me go!" cried Clyde.
"Sorry Clyde, but you've lost your advantage up here." Haiku smirked. She extracted her fangs. "Oh don't worry. This will all go by very quickly!"
"NO! NOT MY BLOOD!" Clyde shrieked.
Haiku laughed and got ready to bite Clyde's neck.
Clyde looked around frantically for a way out. And then, a crazy idea came to his mind.
"Haiku? Forgive me…" he whispered before he suddenly headbutted her in the forehead and nose.
"GAH!" Haiku yelped, clutching her face on instinct.
But because of this, she let go of Clyde. He fell screaming into the lake with a large splash. He emerged from the water and gasped for air.
"Oh thank god! Fresh oxygen!" he gasped in relief.
Haiku shrieked in anger and zoomed down towards Clyde. "NOWHERE TO SWIM HUMAN!" she roared, turning back to fly down faster.
Clyde cried out in alarm and spotted his net blaster on the ground. It had fallen when Haiku snatched him into the air. Clyde swam as fast as he could to reach it and scrambled out of the lake. Just as Haiku flew down ready to strike him, Clyde grabbed the blaster just in time and turned around and fired. The net caught Haiku and she yelped as she fell into the lake. Clyde quickly fished her out.
"Sorry Haiku. But hey, I won't let you drown, vampire or not." Clyde said gently.
Haiku could only spit out water. "Sigh…" she seethed.
Boris was flying towards the zoo.
"Oh so many precious animals… so many types of blood… Boris cannot wait to try this blood-themed smörgåsbord!" he said delightedly.
"I'm afraid I will have to cancel your smörgåsbord, vrykolakas!"
Boris peered down and saw that Lisa had biked up.
"Thankfully the front gate was open for maintenance. Those zoo workers never saw me coming." she said.
"Oh look! I spy with my glowing red eyes… human prey!" Boris shouted.
He flew down at Lisa, baring his fangs. Lisa biked away from him as fast as she could, but Boris flew right in front of her.
"Gah!" Lisa exclaimed.
"Got you know!" Boris laughed.
Lisa made a sharp left by the rhinos as Boris' hands and claws missed her.
"Curses!" he scowled.
Lisa made a Ury and aimed her garlic blaster and opened fire. Boris screeched in fright as he tried to dodge the garlic soaring at him.
"You missed!" Boris taunted before hissing as he charged at Lisa.
Lisa yelled in alarm as she jumped off her bike and Boris flew right over it.
"Gah! Missed!" Boris hissed.
Lisa tried firing pumpkin spice shakers, but Boris blocked them with ease with his fists and arms.
"Oh fiddlesticks!" Lisa grunted as she tried to reload. But Boris came flying down at her.
Lisa yelped and ducked as he flew over her. "Gotta think of a new strategy!" she cried as she got back on her bike and peddled away.
"Come back here little prey!" Boris shouted, flying after her.
Lisa biked past the hippos, the lions, the monkeys, and the zebras until she came into the indoor habitat area. She biked past the habitats holding lizards, snakes, and tarantulas.
She came towards the habitat that held bats and had an idea. She skidded to a stop, hopped off, and hid.
Boris flew in. "Nowhere to run, little vermin! Your genius blood will satisfy Boris' appetite!"
Boris looked all around, licking his fangs hungrily. He flew across the exhibits trying to spot Lisa.
"You cannot hide forever! I will find you!"
Suddenly the doors slammed down, blocking the exits, startling Boris.
"Gah! Oh you must be near!"
"Indeed I am."
Boris yelped again and turned around to see Lisa standing on the viewing ledge facing the bay exhibit.
"You made a grievous error in your planning, young one." Boris smirked, his eyes glowing redder. "You're trapped with me… and I will drink your genius blood…"
"Evidently Boris, you may wish to get this over with before the zoo officials get suspicious." Lisa told him.
"Very well." Boris growled as he charged forward.
But just before he could snatch Lisa, she jumped off the edge and landed on the floor. Boris realized his mistake too late as he screamed.
CRASH!
Thanks to his vampire strength, Boris smashed through the glass viewing window and landed on the ground.
"Ouch… that hurt Boris' head…" he groaned.
Then he heard screeching. And then, he spotted various bats that looked very displeased from being interrupted from their slumber.
"Oh dear…" Boris winced.
The bats all swarmed around Boris, screeching loudly.
"No! Wait! I am not your enemy!" Boris yelled as he tried to get the annoyed bats off of him. "I am one of you! Look!"
Boris immediately turned into a bat, surprising all the other ones as they backed away from him.
"You see? Now I am a bat!" Boris told them, only to be caught in a net fired by Lisa. "Dang it." he grunted.
Lisa then emptied a can of knock out gas into the bat cage before snatching Bat Boris.
"That won't work on me!" Boris scowled.
"That is for the bats, preventing their escape." said Lisa as she attached his net on her bike next to a sulking Persephone. The bats all fell unconscious. "This way the workers can get them out while they repair the glass. Good thing I turned off security cameras when I closed the doors."
Lisa ran down the hall and opened the doors before she biked out.
The three kids met up by Flip's.
"How many do each of you have?" Lisa asked.
"Two." Clincoln McCloud replied.
"As do I. So we are missing one more." Lisa muttered.
She examined all the captured and annoyed vampires.
"And it would appear that the one missing is our sister." she said.
"We have to find her." Lincoln said. "Ugh, but where could she have flown off to?"
"The cemetery? It is her favorite spot…" Clyde guessed.
"Guess we'll have to act on the… well, guess." Lincoln shrugged.
The three biked away towards the graveyard.
Soon they arrived and parked their bikes near a tall gravestone.
"Lucy? Luce where are you?!" called Lincoln.
They then heard what sounded like hissing and slurping.
"She's here…" Lisa eerily said, pale. (2)
And she was right. Near the storage shed was Lucy on her knees, draining the blood from a large rat.
"Oh god…" Lincoln mumbled.
Lucy dropped the dead animal on the ground and sighed in bliss. "Blissful sigh… how refreshing… but I crave more… but not animal blood… I need… HUMAN!" she suddenly roared, facing the trio who all yelped.
"Lucy! Stand down now!" cried Lincoln.
"No… my hunger desires human blood, mortal brother…" she hissed. "And you three are going to GIVE YOURS TO ME!"
She hissed and charged at the three, forcing them to split up and run.
"Get back here, mortal feast!" Lucy growled.
Lucy flew after Clyde.
"You used to nosebleed so much… I'll get that blood BY FORCE!"
"No you won't!" Clyde yelled, firing garlic at her.
Lucy flew from side to side, dodging the garlic. "Nice try!" she hissed.
She swooped down and knocked Clyde off his feet. "WHOA-OOF!" he yelled as he hit the grass.
Lucy turned around to face him. "Finally! A feast for my fa-"
She was cut off when pumpkin spice bottles exploded around her.
"Lucy, stand down!" Lisa commanded, switching to the garlic blaster. "We're stopping your violent rampage one way or another!"
After fanning the smell of pumpkin away from her, Lucy growled and chased after Lisa. The kindergartener ran for her life while firing more pieces of garlic.
But Lucy dodged them with ease and even threw them back at Lisa.
"Insolent little fleshling!" she hissed as she charged down and picked her up.
"Agh! Lucy, release me at once!" Lisa yelled.
"Sorry sister… but you don't make commands to me." Lucy smirked, releasing her fangs.
"Oh dear!" Lisa winced.
But then Lucy was struck from behind by more garlic. She turned around and saw Lincoln reload.
"Let go of our sister you evil bloodsucker!" he yelled.
Lucy scowled. "Fine. TAKE HER!" she yelled, throwing Lisa at Lincoln.
"Whoa I got you!" Lincoln cried as he caught his little sister.
"Much appreciated, elder brother…" Lisa breathed.
Lincoln set Lisa down and began to fire more garlic at Lucy.
"Your tactics are redundant, mortal sibling!" Lucy hissed as she ran into Lincoln, knocking him over. But then he grabbed her cape and dragged her to the ground, taking her aback.
"Doesn't hurt to mix it up!" Lincoln said as he grabbed a garlic and shoved it into Lucy's mouth.
Lucy coughed and gagged from the putrid taste and stumbled around. Lincoln then threw a pumpkin spice into her face, making it explode everywhere making her cough and gag more.
"I'm sorry little sis… but you're leaving us no choice…" Lincoln said, feeling bad.
Lucy stumbled and fell onto the ground near the bikes. She saw her imprisoned bat friends. "What did you do to my fellow vampires?!" she demanded.
"We had no choice!" Lincoln defended. "They were out of control and scaring people! We had to stop them!"
"Just like how we will stop you!" said Lisa, coming up.
"Unless you surrender!" Clyde nervously chimed in as he joined the non-vampire Louds.
Lucy gritted her teeth and a glow appeared under her bangs as she floated up, extending her claws.
"Never…" she said darkly.
Lucy sped down and knocked into Lincoln, sending them both to the ground. She thrashed his chest and arms and cheeks, making him yell in pain from the scratches, some drawing blood.
"Lincoln!" Clyde cried as he tried to help, but Lucy got up and hissed, thrashing Clyde as well with her claws. Clyde cried in pain as Lucy slammed him against a gravestone.
"Lucy, don't let this magic-!"
Lisa was cut off when Lucy snatched her by the sweater and threw her into Clyde and Lincoln who struggled to get up.
"Perfect…a three*course meal…" Lucy grinned. "Ha ha. Ha ha."
She flew over and gathered the trio closer.
"Once I feast on your blood, you will be like me and my club. And then we will drain the blood of every being in this wretched town! Vampires across Royal Woods! It's a dream come true! All thanks to Lucille's spell!" she grinned.
"Lucy… stop…!" Lincoln pleaded.
"Don't do it!" whimpered Clyde.
"Lucy! The spell! It's turned you evil! It's cursed!" Lisa yelled.
"No… it's a gift!" Lucy snapped back. "Enough talk." She drew her fangs. "Time to feast!"
Lincoln, Lisa, and Clyde looked on in terror. The rest of the club looked on in anticipation from their nets.
Suddenly, a loud caw filled the air.
"Wait a minute…" said Morpehus, trying to see through his trap. "Is that…?"
Suddenly, Thorn came out of the sky and ran into Lucy, blocking her vision.
"GAH! Thorn, get off of me!" Lucy yelled, trying to get him off.
But Thorn thrashed her with his talons and pecked her with his talons.
Then a loud meow was heard as Virgil ran up and bit Lucy's leg.
"AGH! Virgil off!" Lucy yelled, trying to shake him off.
Lucy was able to shake Virgul off her leg and smack Thorn away, but then Fangs came down and attacked. He flapped his wings against her covered eyes and put his claws to her face and then the rest of her as quick as he could.
"Fangs stop it! Stop this at once!" Lucy yelled in irritation.
But Fangs didn't as he pulled the vampire by the hair and then but her neck.
Lucy scowled and smacked Fangs away. "So you wanna fight Fangs?!" she hissed. She turned into a bat. "Let's see how you like being wrecked by your own kind!"
Both bats scuffled with each other in the air. Lucy and Fangs were neck and neck. But Fangs held his own and he smacked and clawed Lucy.
The trio watched on in awe.
"First time I've ever seen Lucy and Fangs fight." Lincoln said as he tried to get up.
"It is a sight to be seen apparently." Lisa mused.
But then Lucy knocked Fangs against a gravestone, making him slide against it down to the ground. Lucy loomed over him.
"You shouldn't have betrayed me, Fangs! And now you will pay!" Lucy sneered.
But just as she flew down, a net was suddenly fired at her and she landed on the ground, trapped.
"No!" Luc cried as she tried to tear the net, but to no avail. "Let me out! Let me out of this infernal prison!"
Lincoln and Lisa looked and saw that Clyde held his net blaster, panting as he was still in pain.
"Lucy Loud would never harm her best animal friend…" he panted.
"The vampire reign is finally over." Lincoln said in relief.
"Not quite Lincoln." Lisa said. "We have to make sure it never happens again."
All seven net-trapped vampire bats were put in a pile in the cemetery. The bats struggled to get free.
"Free us at once!" demanded Bertrand.
"We're the most powerful undead beings!" Lucy shouted.
"You will release us!" Haiku snapped.
"Don't bother struggling, those nets are more than capable for trapping even the strongest of small mammals." Lisa said. "Not even your human forms can break them."
"Alright!" said Lincoln, pulling out a piece of paper. "Time to read Lucille's reversal spell."
The Morticians' Club shouted their protests of "No!", "Stop!", "Don't do it!"
"Sorry guys… I know you love being vampires, but this too much. Even for you." Lincoln replied bluntly before reading the spell. "Magic black and magic white, magic gray of every might. Reverse this spell as I command, no darkness prevails when good takes a STAND!"
Lisa pulled out a remote and pressed a button. The nets opened up and the Mortician vampires flew up ready to attack the trio. But they were engulfed in white magic, freezing them in place. They shouted in terror as the magic engulfed them. Their eyes stopped glowing, their fangs shrunk down to normal teeth, their skin returned to normal, their hair stopped looking frazzled, and their clothes normal once more.
When the light settled, the club members landed on the ground. The trio approached them.
"Lucy? Guys? Are you ok?" Lincoln asked.
The club groaned as they got up. Their appearances were normal once more.
"Lincoln…? Lincoln, is that you?" Lucy mumbled.
"LUCY!" Lincoln said happily as he embraced Lucy in a gentle hug. "You're ok!"
Lisa and Clyde happily joined in on the hug.
"Uh… what happened?" Lucy asked.
"Why do we feel so… worn out?" asked Haiku.
"Why does Boris' breath taste like blood?" Boris asked.
"It's a… it's a long story." Clyde replied.
At the Loud House, the Loud sisters tended to the trio and Morticians' Club in the living room. Lana also tended to the three spooky pets.
Lincoln, Clyde, and Lisa were bandaged up from their scraped and scratches.
The club wore blankets and drinking hot chocolate.
"There you guys go." Leni said as she put a blanket on Morpheus.
"Take it easy little dudes and dudettes. You had one long day." said Luna. "Just be glad it wasn't an endless summer."
"I just can't believe that spell turned us… evil." Lucy said, horrified and guilty.
"Well not at first." Lana said. "You guys were still your normal spooky selves."
"Until you started getting all scary, aggressive, and blood-thirsty." Clyde added.
"Yeah, thats why those three had to risk their keisters to stop you seven and save the town." said Lynn. She smiled at them. "Pretty brave, all things considered. The pets too."
"To think we started terrorizing the town all thanks to dark magic… and our desire to become vampires pushed the events further…" sighed Persephone.
"We may like the dark arts, but we would never hurt anyone," said Dante. "Not deliberately at least…"
"Indeed. It goes against our morals." nodded Bertrand.
"The fact that we could become so… vicious and scary… out for literal blood like that…" shivered Haiku.
"That animal blood doesn't agree with Boris…" Boris shuddered. "My apologies Lana…"
"At least it wasn't any of our pets." Lana said. "And if they were the feral kind… I don't know… but at least you didn't kill any humans I guess…"
"But we could've. And it would've been all my fault." Lucy said in guilt. "I read that stupid spell and turned us into bloodsucking demons of the night."
"Don't be so hard on yourself, Luce. You didn't know it was cursed." Luan assured her.
"If anything, Lucille is to blame!" scowled Lola.
"Easy sis, she didn't know she packed it." Luna said calmly.
"And she apologized while sending us the reversal spell." Lincoln said. "If it helps, we shredded the cursed one and dumped the shreds into the bin."
"That's good at least." Lucy said. "Sigh. Doesn't change the fact you three got hurt because of us."
"We'll pull through Luce." Clyde assured her. "We've been through many escapades worse than this before."
"And no one else got hurt or killed." Lincoln added.
"And to make sure you seven won't be traded as pariahs for your cursed rampage, Todd is leading my robots into erasing the memories of people who saw you as vampires in any way." said Lisa.
"I suppose that's better than nothing." Dante said.
"But we should thank the three of you." Lucy said with a smile. "You risked your lives to stop us, save us, and save the town from our vampire wrath."
"Indeed. You three were very brave all things considered." Haiku said in agreement.
"You have our sincerest thanks." said Bertrand.
Lincoln, Lisa, and Clyde smiled. "Hey it's no trouble at all. Just doing what's right." Lincoln smiled as he, Lisa, and Clyde hugged Lucy again.
"You three too, Fangs, Virgil, Thorn." Morpheus said to the spooky pets.
"Thank you for helping stop me. And I am so sorry I ever scared or hurt you." Lucy said in guilt. "Especially you Fangs."
Fangs smiled and managed to fly over and nuzzle Lucy. Thorn and Virgil did the same with Morpehus and Dante. The three happily accepted the nuzzling as everyone smiled at the scene.
"You know what? I think I'll enjoy being human more after all of this." said Persephone.
"I think we all will." said Boris.
"Indeed." said Lucy.
That night after getting into her pajamas, Lucy made her way to bed. Lynn was already asleep. As she approached her bed, she saw her casket and stopped.
"Maybe I should stick to regular sheets for a while." she said to Fangs who hung from the bed above her. "After all that's happened, maybe I should stay away from vampire stuff for the time being."
Fangs squeaked in understanding.
Lucy removed the coffin from the top of her bed and got under the blankets. "Goodnight Fangs. Goodnight family." she said before dozing off.
Unbeknownst to her, a glow appeared outside the window. Merging through it came Lucille. She smiled at Lucy and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
"Goodnight cousin. I once again apologize for all that's happened. But I am glad you're back to normal again. And I think it suits you more than being an evil vampire. Until we meet again Lucy Loud… goodnight for now."
And Lucille floated through the wall and back to Loch Loud.
In her sleep, Lucy's mouth creaked into a smile.
"Thank you Lucille…" she said as she fell into a good night's sleep.
In the backyard, Sora sat on top of Lisa's emergency bunker talking to the fourth wall.
"Lucy and her club always wanted to be a part of something of the spooky world. And they got to as vampires thanks to Lucille. But it all turned south fast thanks to a cursed spell. They wanted to be vampires, but not dangerous, bloodsucking, mind-controlling ones. They may be dark, but they have standards. Thankfully, Lincoln, Lisa, Clyde, and the pets saved them and the town before all the Royal Woods residents ended up as vampire feasts. So be careful what you wish for. The result may not be what you expected."
