"What'd I tell ya Maddie? The cameras love us!" Jack exclaimed after he and Maddie finally walked into the museum.
"Yes, honey." Maddie responded. After handing her coat to the Coat Check and getting a glass of champagne, she finally got a look at the venue. "Oh Jack, can you believe this?" Maddie said gasping and looking around.
Jack also passed his own jacket and grabbed a glass of champagne. "Yeah, it's massive! And it's about time we get honored by this town! Hey, I think I see the Spector Speeder!" Jack exclaimed running over to the Fenton Exhibit. Maddie shook her head and followed after him. In the exhibit, she saw her son and his friends looking at the other displays in the room.
"Hi kids! You all look wonderful." Maddie said hugging both Sam and Tucker.
"Thanks, Mrs. Fenton. That's the best compliment I've gotten tonight." Tucker said.
"Didn't you say that all the "ladies" were giving you "looks?" Sam said sprinkling air quotes in her words. Tucker blushed at Sam's words and Sam chuckled. "Mrs. Fenton you look incredible. Congratulations on tonight, you and Mr. Fenton deserve it." Sam said turning back to Danny's mom.
Maddie waved her hands to emphasize her words. "None of this would've been possible without you three. Thank you."
"Maddie! Check this out! They have the blueprints and the phases of the Ecto-Skeleton!" Jack shouted from across the room.
"I should watch over him. Don't want him to knock anything over." Maddie said lightly patting her son's arm and walking over to Jack.
"Your parents really do deserve this night, dude." Tucker said as he watched Danny's parents gush over their exhibit. Sam nodded in agreement with Tucker.
"Yeah, they really do." Danny responded. He then noticed an older woman getting ready to announce the evening by going on the mini stage next to the Ghost Portal display. "Hey Tucker, isn't that Naomi Vail? She's the one that's taking over for you when we go to college right?"
Tucker shifted his gaze over to where Danny was looking over. "Yeah, I think she's gonna be great for Amity Park. If I had any hesitation against her, I would run again, but luckily she waved off every doubt. Plus, I want to enjoy college as a normal kid." Tucker stated.
"Well as normal as you can get," Sam stated popping in, "I'm sure we'll be facing off with ghosts no matter where we go."
Naomi Vail stepped up on the tiny stage in the main room and clinked her champagne glass to get the attention of everyone in the museum. The glass clinking turned into a ripple effect as other people also started clinking their glasses. Danny, Sam and Tucker started making their way over to the main room as everyone else did. Naomi turned over to the waiter that stood next to her who was ready to switch the knife that she used to clink with her glass to the mic waiting to make her announcement.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you so much for turning up to the Grand Opening of the first ever Ghost Museum in the world!" Everyone gave a polite clap, besides Jack who whooped with excitement. "What our researchers were able to compile in this museum are valuable artifacts and inventions that show the starting stages of ghost-related inventions to where we are now today, with advanced technology only the founders dreamed of," Naomi said as she gestured to the entire museum. "And even though the subject of ghosts has been studied for a while now, this night wouldn't have happened without the Fenton's contribution to our understanding of Ghosts and the Ghost Zone." Everyone in the room applauded acknowledging the Fenton's. "Now, would you all join me in welcoming the Fenton family, Jack, Maddie, and their children, Jazz and Danny."
Everyone applauded and made room for all the Fenton's to walk to the stage from their respective places. Jack practically ran over to the stage. If Maddie hadn't held his arm back, he would've bulldozered everyone in his path due to his excitement. Finally, all the Fenton's stepped up on the stage, expecting the applause to die down, but it seemed that the applause ramped up even more seeing the family. Jack and Maddie waved at everyone earning whoops and whistles.
"How did your psycho sesh go?" Danny whispered to Jazz giving a polite wave to the audience.
"Amazing! She's knowledgeable in the area and knew things that I didn't." Jazz responded and gave a polite wave to everyone in the room.
Finally, the applause started to die down to an acceptable level for Naomi to continue. "Jack, Maddie, Jazz and Danny. We just want to thank you for all your contributions. If it weren't for all of you, we would have never reached this level of knowledge. On behalf of all of us and others in the world, thank you." Naomi finished while clapping. Again, the applause commenced.
Jack then reached over to grab Naomi's mic to say a few words. "Y'know, I am so happy to be here and so proud of my family. But in all honesty, we wouldn't have made it here without my son and his two friends," Sam's and Tucker's eyes widened. As they got older, and with Danny's secret out for paparazzi and fans to follow all of them, they appreciated their privacy just as much as Danny as it was much harder to come by these days.
"You think we can get out of this?" Tucker whispered to Sam.
"Tucker, Sam come up here!" Jack yelled over, gaining more applause.
"Shit" both Tucker and Sam whispered. Even a spotlight came on them to highlight where they were standing.
"Just smile and wave," Tucker whispered so only Sam could hear as they both made their way toward the stage.
"You know smiling is not my forte." Sam gritted through her teeth.
Once they got to the stage, Tucker placed Sam in front of him to step on the stage first. Danny walked over to the steps to give his hand to Sam, which Sam took. Danny, Sam and Tucker now took their place next to Jazz.
Again, the applause went to a reasonable level so Jack could continue. "These two, were there for our son," Jack started as he grabbed Maddie's waist, indicating this as a message from the two of them, "When no one else was. Not even us! And we couldn't be more honored to have you both in our lives. We love you." Jack said as he raised his glass to Tucker and Sam to honor them. Everyone applauded and raised their glasses following Jack's lead.
Jack then turned to everyone else in the room, "None of this could've been done without my family," Jack said turning back to his family, "and I love you all. Thank you for everything."
Naomi came back with a second mic and brought it to her lips, raising her champagne glass. "To ghosts, family and the future." Finally she took a sip of her champagne, and everyone followed.
"Now, please go ahead and enjoy the exhibits." Naomi finished. Finally, the Fenton's and Sam and Tucker could leave the stage. Jack waited in the corner waiting for Tucker and Sam to walk down the steps. Once they were in front of him, he put his hands on each of their shoulders.
"I love you both, and I meant every word." Jack said leaning down to give Tucker and Sam a hug.
"Thank you Mr. Fenton." Tucker and Sam responded.
Outside of the building, Circe and Silas floated looking at the event through the windows.
"Aw, isn't this a sight for sore eyes." Circe mocked.
Silas on the other hand glared at the Fenton's. "Who are those fools though? Why is everyone worshipping the ground they walk?" Silas said through gritted teeth.
Circe shrugged her shoulders and pointed at Danny. "I think that's the kid that Walker used to talk about. Said that he saved the world a few years ago."
"But he's human…" Silas trailed.
Circe shook her head, "No babe, he's a halfa. Half human half ghost."
"A halfa…" Silas stated.
Circe then came up to Silas's ear to whisper her next statement, "I heard he's pretty powerful too." She said with a sinister smile on her face.
Silas then gave a sinister grin himself. "We'll go over that next time. Right now, we have to get my gun." Silas said as he turned intangible and flew over to the window closest to his invention.
"How'd you know your gun was going to be displayed here anyway?" Circe asked.
"Call it a tip from an old friend." Silas replied, thinking back to the piece of paper he got earlier.
"Oh come on, boss. Can't we have fun before we get it? It seems anti-climactic to just reach in through the window and grab it. Where's the fun? The excitement? The screams?" Circe added.
"Circe, darling, I promise once we get the gun and I fix it, we can have all the fun you want," Silas replied holding Circe's chin and making her look at him. He then gave a quick kiss to Circe to keep her on track.
"Fine…" Circe said relenting.
"Danny, what have you thought of the displays? I noticed that your parents had just walked in and didn't have time to walk around before my speech. I'm assuming they were enjoying the folks outside." Naomi said winking making a joke.
"Ha yeah, they're definitely the attention seekers in the family; which is fine by me, since I just like to sit on the sidelines sometimes," Danny replied, giving Sam's hand a small squeeze. Only the two of them truly knew the meaning behind those last few words. It reminded them of the night they finally made things official, making it one of the best nights of their lives. Sam squeezed back in acknowledgment.
"Hey Naomi, I just started thinking, are there any security measures in place in the case of a ghost coming to steal something?" Tucker asked.
"Oh yes, of course! The only ghost welcomed on the premise is Danny. Any other unusual ghost entity will be alerted due to their unique ghost signature."
"That's good to know! Wouldn't want any thefts. Can you imagine if a ghost got their hands on any of the inventions here?" Tucker exclaimed bringing his arms out in emphasis referring to the museum.
Just then Danny's ghost sense went off, a loud alarm sounded off and the ghost shield set up on the museum initiated surrounding the building in a green film.
"You had to ask, didn't you?" Sam said crossing her arms over her chest, glaring at Tucker.
"How did I know that was going to happen?!" Tucker replied.
Danny then transformed into his ghost half and flew to the room off to the right where he sensed the alarm was triggered off. Seeing Danny fly to the right, caused patrons to run in the opposite direction.
"Naomi, get everyone in a safe location." Tucker ordered. Naomi nodded and alerted her staff and security to round everyone up and move them to the basement. Tucker and Sam ran off in the direction of Danny, with Jazz, Maddie and Jack following.
"Wait, do you think the Ecto-Skeleton works?" Jack asked Maddie.
"Jack, that's just a display. We have the real thing at home remember." Maddie said running off to her jacket to grab her ghost nunchucks.
"Aw darn it." Jack said running after her.
In the room, Danny floated around waiting for ghost movement. Finally, he heard a chuckle from the other side of the room. Danny turned around and saw Circe. He charged his ecto blasts in his hands up, ready to take her on.
"And you are?" Danny asked. Circe skipped on over to Danny showing no fear.
"Oh honey, I'm not the issue, he is" Circe said pointing behind Danny. Danny turned around but saw nothing, then out of nowhere, a fist came out turning tangible knocking Danny back a few feet.
Danny got back in his fighting stance to face off with the man who was now in front of him. The first thing Danny noticed were his eyes. Danny had faced off with many ghosts in his past, but this one in particular was unsettling. His black and soulless eyes even made Danny uneasy. It only took a moment, for Danny to remember where he'd seen those eyes before.
"Hey, you're Silas Graves. That doctor that invented the transference gun." Danny pointed over to his display. Sam, Tucker and his family followed his finger and landed on the display, now putting two and two together.
"Yes, and I'm taking what's rightfully mine. Some improvements can be made now." Silas turned around to get the gun, but was stopped when an ecto blast from Danny hit his shoulder knocking him down to the ground.
"Sorry dude. That's museum property now." Danny then started flying over to Silas to finish off their fight. Silas got up quickly and readied for Danny's attack.
"Circe, get the gun!" Silas said bracing himself for Danny's kick.
"Got it boss," Circe responded holding her index finger and thumb as an "okay" sign. She started somersaulting over to the invention but stopped short when she saw Sam and Tucker run in front of the gun.
"Like he said, museum property." Sam said hissing through her teeth. Circe laughed and placed her hand on her hip.
"You think you two are gonna be an issue for me?" Circe responded. She readied her fist to take Sam and Tucker out, but she wasn't fast enough as Tucker and Sam brought their wrists up and turned the Fenton bracelets on shooting Circe back. Circe shook her head and looked back up at them in shock.
"Princess, we've been at this for a long time now." Tucker said blowing the smoke off his bracelet.
"They're not the only ones you should be concerned with." Maddie exclaimed showing off her nunchuck moves. Jazz stood next to her with her own Fenton bracelet, and Jack stood behind them holding his fists up to look aggressive.
"Yeah, we're a whole family affair!" Jack exclaimed.
Circe then gave a sinister smile, "fun."
It was evident that Danny was winning this fight against Silas, but Silas' persistence still kept him in the game. After throwing a series of ecto blasts and Silas evading only three of them, Danny turned to him catching his breath. "What do you want with the gun anyway?"
"Child, I wasn't granted the technology you all take for granted today," Silas responded throwing an ecto blast himself which Danny evaded easily. Silas then shot another two, with one of them hitting Danny in the shoulder. Danny staggered back a bit, but still stayed in battle stance. "I came here, to finish what I started all those years ago, hahahaha!" Silas responded before shooting a continuous blast at Danny. Danny flew all over to avoid getting it and trying to get Silas to lose his aim. Through all the blasts, Danny could hear Silas' laughing maniacally.
"Listen dude, you need to chill!" Danny's eyes then turned ice blue as Danny shot out his ice powers towards Silas. Silas gasped and narrowly escaped Danny's ice attack.
"Interesting." Silas whispered.
Circe was now fighting off with everyone, doing her best to avoid their onslaught attacks. She knew the only way to get them to stop blasting would be to get those bracelets off, or to break them.
After the last shot at her, Circe lost her patience, "That's it!" Circe then turned intangible and grabbed the closest person to her, which was Jazz. Circe then turned tangible again and wrapped her arm around Jazz's neck and held her other hand to Jazz's hand readying an ecto blast.
"Jazz!" Jack and Maddie yelled. Hearing his parents' yell grabbed Danny's attention for a split second. But it was enough for Silas to get the upper hand to shoot his own ecto blast at Danny, shooting him in the back and knocking Danny to the floor. Silas then turned intangible and grabbed the closest person to him which was Tucker. Following Circe's lead, Silas also wrapped his arm around Tucker's neck and readied an ecto blast.
Sam held her arm to Circe and Silas ready to shoot at the earliest opportunity. Maddie also held her nunchucks up ready to fight and Jack was ready to punch someone at this point for threatening his daughter and his son's best friend. Danny also got up and flew next to Sam, readying his own ecto blasts.
"Ah ah ah," Silas said wagging his finger back and forth, "you will put your weapons down, I will grab my gun, and we will walk out. No one has to get hurt." Everyone refused to settle down. In response, Circe lightened her hand more showing more power behind her ecto blast and held Jazz closer. At Jazz's small yelp, everyone dropped their respective weapons and stood still.
Silas gave a small sinister chuckle and smile. "Good." Silas said as he walked backward with Tucker. Silas got close enough where he could finally grab his gun. He let go of Tucker's neck to grab his gun, and stuff it behind his pants.
Silas looked around at everyone one last time and made eye contact with Danny. "Understand this. I will do what I have to do to complete my invention. I will not hold back." Silas responded laughing again. Danny only responded with a glare.
Silas then pushed Tucker off and turned intangible flying out. Circe followed Silas doing the same. With both Jazz and Tucker safe now, everyone ran to them to make sure they were okay.
Tucker gasped trying to catch his breath, "I know we weren't ranking the inventors in here, but he is dead last!"
