Bela
She began to feel herself returning to consciousness with a far less aching head, but no less painful body. She groaned slowly, noticing she was on soft silken sheets and her clothes had been changed out for her favorite pajamas when she had been a teenager. Cute theatre masks on papaya colored fabric.
She slowly blinked away the crust of dreams as she sat up and instantly recognized her own bedroom. Black curtains over a balcony window, good wooden dressers that looked like they hadn't been moved since she left. The ceiling still glistened with a few hooks she left there, though she could tell Casey likely borrowed a few.
The walls were the same lovely shade of rose gold and decorated with paintings of little silhouettes of swing dancing couples. The sight made her stomach twist in knots, if briefly. She sighed as her hand touched her stomach and found most of the bruising had finally healed. He had hit her in the ribs quite a few times and she was relieved to see it didn't stick around.
Standing up, the sheets slowly fell from her body as she winced. Her ankle still throbbed slightly with an ache she couldn't shake just yet. She sighed with a hand leaning on the bedpost shaped like a female goddess. "Okay... One step at a time." She muttered encouragingly to herself.
A step, and another twitch of pain had the girl whimpering as she fell back with a flop onto her comfy bed. A sigh easily escaped her lips at how comfy it felt. How good it was to be home.
Her eyes snapped wide open as she remembered where she was. "Oh shit..." Before panic could truly grip, there was a knock on the door.
"C... Come in." She said as she sat up. She clapped her hands as the more powerful lights snapped on overhead, casting a gentle yellow glow on things as it seems Dani hadn't bothered to replace the old bulbs. Not that it mattered to Bela.
The door creaked open to show her Mamma first. For a human woman, she was a figure. Nearly six feet tall, with waist length, curly, thick brown hair, and easily twice the muscle of your average man, she was a curvy woman that had been with her mother now for well over 20 years and had even been the one to help bring Dani back when they were all being restored. It had come with conditions, but Bela was assured that so long as any bloodshed was kept to evil folks, they'd be left alone.
"Mamma... I -" she was cut off by a tight, loving, warm hug as moisture gathered on her shoulder.
"Thank fuck you're ok..." She muttered as she squeezed Bela in closer. A sniffle came out, and Bela felt her own face began to get watery against as she clutched onto her Mamma's back.
"I.. I'm sorry..." She whispered between emerging choked sobs.
"Shhh. It's okay baby girl. It's okay." She comfortably kissed Bela's forehead. "Mamma's here. Alcina's making breakfast whenever you're ready to go down. Okay?" Gently tucking a hair from her wet cheek, the Mamma smiled at her hurting child with as much love as her eyes could muster.
"O.. okay Mamma. Where's...?"
"The girl is downstairs. Lua, I think her name is? She's... Strange, but she did get you home safe and sound." Her Mamma sounded wary, and Bela would be lying if it all didn't feel like a strange blur. "As for your Ex.."
"Please..." She muttered shakily, unable even now to let the hate inside win out. "Don't..." Her Mamma took in her expression for a little while before embracing her closely.
"Ok... We won't if you don't want us to." She whispered, squeezing Bela comfortingly. Bela returned the soft squeeze with a needy clinginess. She didn't want to be alone right now.
Alcina
Ughhhhhhh. The lady groaned in annoyance as she rubbed the wrinkles of her forehead. She sat in her lounge and read the latest letter from their patron who had taken the steps to revitalize not only herself and her children, but removed the conditioning in her own and their brains once set by Miranda. A smirk formed on yer face when she recalled the moment she was allowed to watch that old bitch be dragged away for her own torment and repentance, as the figure had called it. She called herself the Bloodletting Princess, and Alcina would admit that such a title was a rather envious one for entities like them.
Restoring their castle, their bodies, as well as aiding in the better remaking of her girls. Daniella had now been born naturally through her beloved wife, and she had been allowed to birth Cassandra and Bela herself. It had been a very long process, but the Princess had told her that part of her own redemption laid in her willingness to actually be a mother now, not just a matriarch and her dolls.
She had taken a bit of time to adjust, but her dear wife was unbelievably patient with her. She couldn't thank enough to have found her in that dark hour when Ethan had left her presumably dead, and thanked her benefactor that she had in fact merely played possum. A very dangerous game of it, but it had paid off. Still, the scars of his gunfire remained in true form. Yet she had long since sworn off revenge. Another condition. The poor fool was dead himself, either way. It made her wonder a bit more what forces were dabbling in their lives, but she quickly dismissed the thought as a passing fancy.
A smile formed across her freshly painted lips as she heard Bela waking down stairs. The joy she felt to finally have her home again was unimaginable, even if the state she had arrived in had caused some... Messy initial impressions. She chuckled, remembering how she had tried to decapitate the stranger who had brought Bela home and the odd, almost cartoonish way she seemed to both dodge and miss Alcina's brief assault of claws. She doubted the girl when knew she had been struck at, only that she found a rather shiny penny awfully far from the united states.
She considered heading downstairs before hearing her wife. Well, she knew then that Bela would be just fine. Her Mamma was an adoring person, and Bela had needed the least to change to a more kind soul. She still retained that beautifully crimson thirst of a proper Dimitrescu, but she had grown to become a far more refined lady. She was the only one of the three about to turn the clock into her third decade, this time around that was.
Standing up and heading for the door to potentially call for breakfast, she felt another smile spread as she heard her other two daughters in the hallway.
"Give it back!" She heard Daniella shouting with bare chasing footsteps rushing along the velvet carpeting.
"I dunno whatcha mean!" Cassandra shouted back with a giggle as her own steps rushed ahead of Dani's.
"Bitch I will cut you!"
"And?" Casey laughed heavily.
"I swear to fuck!" She shouted, and Alcina laughed fully behind a stifling hand to ensure they didn't quite hear. They were adorably precious in this newer, more natural form of themselves. Thirst under control and freedom from the prior indoctrination, her daughters had each blossomed into unique flowers.
Bela was the most mature and least prone to direct conflict. She had a gentle heart that sought peace and understanding with the world itself, and often came across as fragile. No, she wasn't fragile. She was simply too loving for her own good, and Alcina wouldn't allow such a gift be crushed by this manthing. She wouldn't do it directly, no, Bela would be suspicious and she was likely still attached. No, she would need to plot this out slowly.
He would suffer, though. For every single scuff on Bela's garb alone, she would repay him ten fold. May the devil himself have mercy when she begins with the bruises he caused. For she would have no such intentions.
Wrenched from her thoughts as a blue plastic hairbrush was put right through her door. She pouted slightly. This had been hand carved.
"Girls!" She called out, as both froze in place. A moment later, the door creaked open.
Dani crossed her arms, pouting indignantly. Casey was blushing and smiling sheepishly at her mother.
"Care to explain, girls?" Thumbing at the brush.
"She stole it!" Dani was quick to say.
"Borrow!" Casey retorted.
"I don't see how that answers how it went through my door, girls." Alcina intoned with a bit more of her motherly voice.
Both gulped. "Sorry Mother..." Casey answered with another head droop.
"Sorry mom..." Dani answered next with shy nervousness. "We were struggling over it and it got flung out of our hands..."
Alcina sighed. "Well, you both can look into a good replacement later for the door." Kissing each of their heads, she tied her robe closed fully. A long red bathrobe she often used in the morning to help her relax and savor a warmer start, as well as an excuse for her wife to get a little handsy. Her hair was a little longer, if only slightly. She was very curious as to how, but her parron had said that their new forms would come with changes. Including an ability to grow, and change, without compromising their immortality.
Both girls nodded quickly, taking the belt tie as a sign neither were to be disciplined further before both took off with a flurry of flies to go search for a new door. Likely online. She would be sure to set aside an order from a proper contractor, just in case they did something silly.
She sighed happily while stepping out and beginning to head to the stairwell. Today felt like it was going to be a very good day.
