Thunder clouds rumbled as lightning shot down while the blimp the Hooves of Time are on with Clockwise, Tempura, Topaz, Trail, Aqua, Marine, Steel and the aging Wu and Celestia as they kept some distance from each other.
"Excellent, Supreme Commander Machia." Krux said with a smirk as he turned to his brother. "The final Time Blade will soon be ours."
"Unless this is all a Ninja trick to trap us in the middle of nowhere." Machia said while glaring at the heroes.
"It had best not be. For their sake." Acronix said as he gestured to the weakened aging Wu and Celestia as thunder clashed.
"Ugh we can't do this!" Trail groaned in frustration. "We can't let Krux and Acronix force us into getting the last Time Blade for them!"
"Its reversal power is the only way to undo the effects of the Time Punch on Master Wu and Celestia." Aqua reminded her brother while looking at Wu. "What other choice do we have?
"She got a point, Trail." Topaz said. "Not even Misako knows another way to cure Wu and Celestia."
"Time is short and our friend's survival, your masters' survival is at stake." Steel said to his son while placing a hoof on Trail's shoulder.
"Your father is right." Marine said while holding Wu. "Focus on the task at hand. Retrieving the Time Blade will be more dangerous than you can possibly imagine." She said in concern to her children before the thunder struck, which made the ship shake while the others gasped in startled while some red light glowed from the bottom.
"I can't believe your grandparents took the time blade all the way out here." Clockwise mentioned as she looked overboard. "The waters down there look a bit dangerous."
"Which I don't understand why you put the Time Blade down there and way out here away from Equestria?" Tempura questioned in wonder.
"It was so powerful that Celestia knew it had to be hidden somewhere safe after The Stranger brought it to her." Steel explained. "So, she asked my father and Marine's mother to seal it in the ancient Library of Honomizu."
"Hono-what now?" Aqua asked in confusion.
"Honomizu was once a thriving port town that was consumed by an undersea volcano that buried the city leagues below an impossibly harsh environment." Steal explained as he looked down over the edge with a serious look. "A combination of fire and water…" He continued before thunder clashed as he gave a un-flinch look. "The Boiling Sea." He finished as they looked down and saw some fire burning while in water.
"Huh, fire and water together, you don't see that everyday." Topaz said in surprise.
"The boiling sea, I heard stories about this place and I heard that no ship was able to make it through." Clockwise mentioned. "This is actually the perfect place to put the time blade.
"Yep." Tempura said in agreement. "I doubt the creatures of the sea can get through that."
At the Vermillion Swamp, the rest of the Ninja and the Council are still fighting off the Vermillion Warriors, but everytime they knock them down, they reformed. "Ew. No matter how many times you see it, watching those snickers hatch is gross." Thunder said in disgust.
"Indeed, this is more disgusting!" Rarity called as she deflected a sword.
"Rarity! Thunder! Less watching, more helping!" Lloyd called out.
"Let's go before they turn us into their first breakfast!" Flash called out as the Vermilion Warriors chased after them. Applejack and Landrush managed to knock them back as Gaia flipped over one of them and tripped them up.
"You guys, now that we got all the workers out of here, we should join them!" Rainbow suggested.
"What about Master Wu and Celestia!" Twilight questioned as they kept the Vermillions back.
"They're long gone by now!" Morro pointed out as he punched a Vermilion Warrior when it tried to get him from behind. "It's a strategic retreat when we're outnumbered like this!"
"Stragetic retreat is just a fancy way of saying giving up." Landrush stubbornly said as he held a couple of Vermillions.
"What do you both think, Twilight, Lloyd?" Irona asked as she bend some metal off the Vermillion Warriors. "You're the Master of Training and Twilight's the ruler of Equestria here." She said as Frost looked ahead.
"We need to regroup at the temple!" Twilight called as more Vermillion Eggs were launch. "Frost, cover ice!" She called out as they entered the tunnel before Frost used his powers to create an ice wall at the entrance and create a dome as well to block the rest of the Vermilion.
"Tank squadron, report!" Raggmunk called out as a catapult launched some boulders, hitting the ice as they began to crack.
"I really hate these things!" Gaia complained.
"You and me both, Gaia." Applejack agreed.
"Quick! Before they get through!" Lloyd shouted as they were about to run into the tunnel, but Frost stopped as he got a signal.
"One moment. I'm getting a signal." Frost said as he looked at the ice wall.
"Oh, yeah? Does it sound anything like this…" Thunder started calmly before he snapped. "Move your flank, Frost!" He shouted.
Frost ignored him as he scanned the swamp before getting Borg and Dr. Gear's signal. "Cyrus Borg and my mother. I must retrieve them." He said seriously.
"Frost, wait, you can't go out there!" Fluttershy said to him. "You would be really outnumbered."
"Fluttershy's right! There's like a million more Vermillion out there!" Lloyd said as the ice wall began to crack.
"Even more than we can handle." Rainbow said to him.
"There's no way you could possibly save them all by yourself." Thunder said as he rushed up next to Frost. "So I'm coming with you." He said as the others looked at him in surprise. "What? We're Ninja and Protectors of Equestria. Saving creatures is, you know, what we do."
"Yes, we do." Pinkie said with a smile as they walked forward to them.
"Sometimes I wish we hadn't." Spike said as he walked next to them before the ice wall began to come down. "Take cover!" He called out as the ice wall came completely down as Raggmunk and Blunck then looked into the tunnel and saw no sign of the Ninja or the Council.
"Where are they?" Raggmunk questioned as then went into the hive mind. "Vermillion, check the tunnel." He ordered as the Vermillion Warriors searched the tunnel.
"Any sign of escape?" Blunck questioned before the vermillions moved aside and showed the Shadow Bounty still there. "Do you know what this means?" He asked his partner.
"The Ninja and the Council have been eliminated!" Raggmunk exclaimed with a smirk.
"Victory!" The two commanders cheered as they high five and shared a laugh.
"Or they found another exit." Raggmunk quickly added with a frown.
"Either way, they're gone." Blunck said. "There's work to be done." He then went into the hive mind. "All Vermillion stand down. Return to the Dome immediately." He ordered as they all walked back into the swamp.
"We are so getting a promotion." Raggmunk said as he and his partner went back down, while they didn't notice the Ninja and the Council were hiding behind some boulders.
"Ha. What luck. They left." Pinkie commented.
"Jeez for tough Snake Samurai Warriors they sure are big idiots." Morro said while shaking his head.
"They're not the sharpest crayons in the box." Rainbow said with a brow. "Which gives us the advantage."
"Those two are dumber than a bag of hammers." Applejack mentioned with a slight chuckle.
"Except all the Vermillion forces in the swamp are apparently headed to the same place we are: The Dome." Frost said as he gestured to the Dome where Borg and Dr. Gear was filled with Vermillion Warriors.
"I didn't say 'What good luck'." Pinkie said as they got out of the boulders.
"So what do we do?" Landrush asked. "We're in deep trouble the moment they spot us." He said as Rarity looked down and saw some loose armor around during their fight.
"Then let's make sure they don't, darlings." Rarity said with a smirk as she levitated some armor.
Back over the boiling sea, Trail looks down with a nervous look before turning towards his parents. "Eh, got to give whoever named it the boiling sea credit for accuracy." He said with a brow.
"You can say that again." Clockwise commented.
"Trail, Aqua I am sorry." Steel said to his children with a guilty look. "We never expected anyone ever to return. Least of all, our children. But only the Masters of Fire and Water, working together, can traverse it." He explained, which surprised the three.
"Your journey will be fraught with peril: traps, enormous obstacles and Geotonic Rock Monsters." Marine said, which made the three a bit nervous.
"And you will need the Dragon Blade." Steel said as he gestured to the Dragon Blade in Steel's hoof, which didn't please Machia.
"I knew it!" Machia shouted as she stood up. "This is a ninja trick!" She shouted as she rushed forever to Steel, before Tempura came in and raised her hoof as it glowed red, which caused her to pause Machia in time.
"Heh, you were right, father. Pause is more effective." Tempura said before she flick Machia, making her stumble back and fall to the ground as Machia hissed.
"It's no trick, the Twin Dragon Blade is the key successfully getting you the Reversal Blade." Steel explained.
"It's one weapon. We still have three Time Blades." Krux said with a shrug to his brother.
"I suppose escape is impossible." Acronix said in agreement. "Although, I'd love for them to try." He said with a smirk, which his brother did the same in agreement.
"So how does it work?" Tempura asked as Trail looked over the blade.
"Simple, concentrate both your elemental powers to create the Fusion Dragon." Steel instructed his son and daughter.
"The what?" Trail asked in surprise, as did the other mares.
"Uh, you lost us at Fusion Dragon." Topaz said in confusion.
"Only a fusion dragon of two combined elements can plunge the depths of the boiling sea and only the Dragon Blade can create one when our predecessors created it." Steel explained.
"You will make the impossible possible." Marine added while holding the blade along with her son. "And unify the elemental powers of fire and water." She instructed.
"Okay, this should be good." Clockwise said with an eager look.
Trail nodded as he tossed the Dragon Blade up while he and Aqua shot fire and water high, which fused together into the Dragon Blade. Soon a flash of light appeared as they created a two headed dragon, one that is blue and the other is red as the group covered their eyes from the flash a bit before they saw the dragon.
"The Fusion Dragon." Marine introduced as Trail quickly caught the Dragon Blade as the Fusion Dragon gave a roar while water and flames burst from its body.
"Whoa!" Both Clockwise and Tempura said in complete awe.
"Now that is awesome." Topaz said with a smile.
"Now, when you reach the first obstacle, you must-" Steel tried to say, but Trail cut him off.
"No time. Wu and Celestia are wasting away." Trail quickly said after looking at Wu and Celestia. "We'll just figure it out as we go." He said as he jumped over and got on the Fusion Dragon as Aqua jumped over.
"He can be a little hot-headed!" Aqua called out.
"He gets that from his father!" Marine commented.
"I believe that." Topaz said as she jumped over. "Wait for me!" She called as she hopped onto the Fusion Dragon.
"Topaz, you're not Master of Water or Fire! It will be hard for you to journey with them!" Steel called out to Topaz before she suddenly remembered her powers were still gone.
"Oh, right..." Topaz said as she jumped back on deck. "Wish I had my powers again."
"So we can't come?" Tempura asked as she turned to the former Elemental Masters as she and Clockwise gave pleading looks.
"Sorry, kids. You can't." Steel said to them. "Only an Elemental Masters of Fire and Water can travel." He said as the two sisters groaned.
"You three stay with us." Marine said as she placed a hoof on Clockwise's shoulder. "And we'll keep an eye on your father and uncle in case they try anything." She added as they glared at the Hooves of Time, who glared back in return.
"That we agree on." Clockwise said with a smirk.
"Remember, work together!" Marine called out before the Fusion Dragon suddenly plunged into the water. Trail and Aqua screened as they're afraid they were going to get scolded before the dragon hit the water.
But when they entered, they were covered in a water bubble to keep them from touching the water and keep oxygen as they flew at intense speed through the boiling sea as the three looked awed as they moved around and avoided the pillars as they screamed.
They then stopped when they saw a cave a the end, which the Fusion Dragon was too big to fit through as the three nodded to each other as Aqua and Trail both held the Dragon Blade as the Fusion Dragon vanished, causing the two to begin to swim through the cave as they swam through the tunnel. After a bit of swimming, they resurfaced out of the water as they all took deep breaths.
"Phew. I didn't know how much longer I could hold my breath." Aqua said in a deep breath. "I can't see a thing."
"The Master of Fire is on it." Trail bragged before he lit a flame on his hoof. The two of them then walked deeper into the cave. "Nice, huh? Heh. Sometimes I don't know what we'd do without me." He boasted as he didn't see the edge at the end of the cave, which caused him to yelp and was about to fall over if Aqua didn't grab him and pull him up as he gave a sheepish look. "Who knew you could be this high up under the sea?" He asked with a sheepish smile.
They looked down and saw a ruined village surrounded by streams of lava. "That little dot down there must be the Lost Library of Honomizu." Trail theorize. "Any idea how to reach it without breaking our necks?"
"Well, we could ask our dad." Aqua suggested before she gave a frown. "Oh, no, wait, you were too impatient for that." She sarcastically told her brother about his impatient behavior earlier as she searched around. "Hang on. I have an idea." She said as she rushed up to a rocky slide. "We slide down this."
"What? We'd be torn to shreds." Trail said in disbelief at his sister's idea.
"Which is where my powers comes in." Aqua said as she grabbed Trail, which made them yelp as she used her water power to make a water stream as they slid down. "Sometimes I don't know what you'd do without me." She bragged as they all laughed as they slid down the rocky slide.
Back at the swamp, the ninja managed to get their hooves on some Vermilion armor as they entered the Dome to find no Vermilion warriors on guard. "Is it just me or was that easy?" Flash asked the others.
"I didn't want to say anything, but yeah, a little too easy." Thunder mentioned before he was hit in the head with a rock. "Ow! Who threw that?!"
"Onto the breach!" Borg yelled as he was being wheeled by Dr. Gear.
"Freedom!" Dr. Gear shouted as she and Borg hit the Ninja and Council aside, thinking they were snakes as she raised a hoof at Twilight.
"Stop! She's not a Vermillion!" Fluttershy yelled out.
"We know a snake when we see one." Borg said as he raised a pipe, but Twilight quickly took off her helmet to reveal herself while Zane did the same. "Princess?"
"Son? You've come to rescue us!" Gear said with hope just as Thunder rubbed his head.
"A decision I'm now starting to regret." He complained with a look.
"Now come on, let's get you both out of here before we discovered." Twilight told them as she got back on her helmet.
"Hey, Borg, Gear, why exactly did Krux and Acronix kidnapped you anyway?" Flash asked in curious.
"Are you serious, Flash?" Rainbow questioned in annoyance. "We know why. They grabbed every builder in Equestria to outfit their army."
"No, not us." Borg said as he tossed his pipe away as he and Dr. Gear walked up to a lever.
"We were forced to create something far more sinister." Dr. Gear said as she pulled the lever, the group then gasped at the Colossus Mech when they laid eyes on it.
"Oh, heh, it's a…" Thunder said nervously before looking at the two inventors. "What is that thing?"
"We heard them call it the Iron Drom." Borg said to them as he closed the window.
"Krux and Acronix's ultimate weapon." Dr. Gear added.
"And you two designed it?" Frost asked.
"No, a blacksmith did." Borg answered.
"Yeah, Borg and I saw it was already completed when they captured us." Dr. Gear said to them. "We're afraid we're responsible for that." She pointed to the Apparatus, which looks like a clock on the chest. "It's a…"
"A nano fuse neo atomic power source." Frost spoke up as they all ducked when a Vermillion walked past them. "Which according to my calculations creates an energy displacement sufficient to allow for-" He then gasped. "Oh, oh, dear, temporal voyage." He said grimly.
"Temporal voyage?" Landrush repeated in shock.
"Time Travel." Pinkie spoke up. "Temporal means time, duh, pay attention, Landrush."
"It harnesses the power of the Time Blades." Borg explained. "If Krux and Acronix get all four, they will be able to take all these Vermillion Warriors anywhere in time." He stated, which worried the group of what Krux and Acronix's true plan was.
"I think we just discovered their evil plan, they're going to go back in time and change history, aren't they?" Twilight asked the two inventors with a dreadful look.
"You are correct, princess." Dr. Gear said grimly.
Back at the Boiling Sea, Trail and Aqua continued to slide down before they finally made it to the bottom as they landed on their hooves as they had a small laugh before they walked forward to the library with boulders around them. The two got up as they continued on a bit. "As deadly obstacles go, that was pretty fun." Aqua commented as they walked up to a bunch of pile of rocks. "I'm starting to think mom overstated the danger."
"Well, you know how moms can get." Trail told his sister with a grin as she frowned.
"No, I never knew one, because of…" She trailed off after learning about when Krux took their parents when she was just a little foal.
"Because ours got kidnapped when you were only three months old." Trail finished with a sad tone. "Right, sorry sis." He apologized as he rushed up to his sister. "My point was, moms like to worry about everything. But this is nothing. All that's left is a climb over some boulders and…" He trailed off when the boulders started moving, which made the two backed away as they saw the boulders were creatures. "Hang on. Those aren't boulders. Those are…" One of them roared. "What'd Mom call them?
"Geotomic Rock Monsters!" Aqua cried out as the Rock Monsters roared and got close to them.
"She understated the danger!" Trail exclaimed as they jumped away to avoid the Rock Masters' lava spew.
Back in the swamp, the Ninja, Council, Dr. Gear, and Borg looked at The Iron Doom in shock. "So the Hooves of Time are going to travel back in time in that contraption?!" Rarity questioned with a very worried look.
"What is it with bad guys and wanting to change the past?" Pinkie asked as she felt this very similar situation a few times before.
"Who cares? We got to stop them!" Flash declared with a determined look.
"But, how do we stop it exactly?" Thunder questioned with a confused expression.
"During assembly, we programmed in a secret backdoor self-destruct code." Borg said to them.
"But they watched us like a hawk as we built it, so we never had a chance to enter it. I managed to put it in by hoof while they weren't looking, but now we need your help climbing that thing so we can put in the code to activate it." Dr. Gear told them.
"Sure thing." Lloyd nodded.
"Sneak into Vermillion Warrior Central?" Spike questioned in disbelief. "Are you nuts, Lloyd?!"
"You guys have a better plan?" Lloyd questioned the group. "One that doesn't allow Krux and Acronix to time travel off to who-knows-when to do who-knows-what?"
"Eh… We do not?" Rainbow said with confusion. "If I'm being honest, I'm kind of confused by what's going on right now."
"Rainbow, traveling back in time is very dangerous." Twilight exclaimed. "I've seen terrible possibilities when tempering with the past. If the Hooves of Time go back and change things, who knows what could happen."
"It's true. And trust us." Spike said in agreement. "Because the alternate timelines Twilight and I saw, it's not pretty."
"We just need the code." Lloyd said as he turn to Dr. Gear and Borg.
"Of course, the code is…" Gear started before she trailed off. "What was the code again?"
"Oh, I don't remember either." Borg said with a worried look.
"What?!" Both Gaia and Irona asked in shock.
"We know it's a long sequence." Borg said. "So we committed it to the deep recesses of our brains."
"But after being watched like a hawk, we could barely remember what that code is." Dr. Gear said while rubbing her chin. "Eh, perhaps if we see the panel it would jar the numbers to the front of our brains."
"Looks like you're coming with us, parents." Applejack said as they were about to walk off.
"Going somewhere?" Blunck questioned as the group turned and saw him and Raggmunk with a group of Vermillions behind them.
"He said, 'Going somewhere, eggheads'?" Raggmunk repeated.
"Oh, I didn't say the 'egghead' part." Blunck said to his partner. "But that's a nice touch."
"Eh, yes." Borg said with a nervous look as the Ninja stood quiet. "Um, we were hoping to inspect my Apparatus on the factory floor."
"Why exactly?" Raggmunk questioned. "To sabotage it?
"On the contrary, to ensure it's properly installed." Dr. Gear lied. "Imagine what Krux and Acronix will do to us, and you, if it doesn't work.
"Uh, good point." Blunck said in agreement as he and Raggmunk nodded in agreement. "We should let him inspect it."
"We asked these gentlemen to escort us down, but they didn't respond." Borg said while gesturing to the Ninja.
"Of course, you can't control the hive mind." Blunck said before he went into the hive mind. "Vermillions, take them to the Iron Doom." He ordered.
"Okay, you heard your generals, Vermillion Warriors, take us away to the Iron Doom." Gear ordered casually to the disguised Ninja.
The Ninja looked at each other in silence before they walked up to Borg and started escorting him as they avoided eye contact, except for Thunder. "Aye-aye." He said, which made Raggmunk grab Thunder by the arm.
"Did you just speak?" Raggmunk questioned.
"No." Pinkie said before she realized what she did. "Okay, that time I did. But not him!" She said before she looked sheepish.
"Hey wait a minute, you're not Vermilion!" Blunck called out.
"We are!" Pinkie shouted nervously.
"I can't see in your heads!" Blunck pointed out before he knocked off her helmet to reveal her head. "Any of your heads!"
"Guess they're not as dumb as we thought." Flash mentioned as their cover was blown.
"Vermilion, attack!" Raggmunk ordered as his eyes glowed.
"So much for stealth." Landrush muttered.
"NINJA, GO!" The Ninja all called as they did Spinjtizu and got out of their disguises as they then fought the Vermillion Warriors, but they were quickly became overwhelmed.
"Cornered again? This is getting old." Gaia complained.
"Hang on. Do you hear that?" Fluttershy asked, hearing a noise.
"What?" Thunder asked before Aqua's samurai vehicle, which now has a blue detail, came in and ram the Vermillion Warriors down as Samurai X appeared, which has blue details to his armor. Riding with him are Rivet, Starlight, Trixie, Luna, Shining Armor, Cadance, the Young Six, Cozy, Nyx and they're Serpentine kids. "Samurai X?!"
"What are we, chopped liver?!" Trixie questioned with a brow.
"I said attack!" Raggmunk repeated to the Vermilion Warriors.
"Go, go, go!" Starlight called out as she and her group jumped off and joined the Ninja and the Council as they kept the Vermillion Warriors at bay.
"We thought you could use some assistance." Luna said with a smirk.
"Wait, if you both are here, who's watching Flurry?" Twilight questioned her brother and sister-in-law.
"Wish Star is watching her." Cadance quickly answered as Samurai X went over to Borg and Gear.
"Borg and Gear, I am relieved that you both are safe." He told them. "I've been looking for you both."
"But how did you find us?" Borg asked him.
"I was able to hack into Frost's scanner. He located you two and I came." Samurai X explained.
"You hacked my son?!" Dr. Gear questioned with a look as a Vermillion Warrior towered over them, but was blasted away by Frost.
"Samurai X. You appear to always show up at just the right time." Frost said as Samurai X put Dr. Gear and Borg into his vehicle.
"You can say that I'm hard-wired that way, Nindroid." Samurai X said to him.
"Wait, were you tracking them?!" Flash asked Samurai X.
"I am taking them home." Samurai X said naturally.
"No you're not. We need them to disable the Iron Doom." Flash said firmly while gesturing to the Iron Doom.
"Challenge accepted." Samurai X said as he started up his ride and drove to the side.
"Sweet ride." Thunder commented.
"It is awesome!" Rainbow said as Rivet came up to the side while using her blaster to keep the Vermillions away.
"That was Aqua's. But he and I gave it a bit of a makeover." Rivet said as they kept fighting the Vermillion Warriors. "New Samurai X, new look."
Back in the cave in the Boiling Sea, the Rock Monsters continue to spew lava at Trail and Aqua, who are doing their best to avoid them. "I'll take care of this. Go!" Trail said to his sister as he shot fire at the Rock Monster, but it shrugged it off as it grabbed Trail and tossed him, which he screamed before he landed on his hooves. "So, apparently Geotomic Rock Monsters are fireproof." He said with a bit of a groan from the hard landing.
Aqua blasted a few of them with her power but seemed unaffected. "And waterproof!" She complained as she dodged an attack from one of them before she was grabbed by it. "Put me down!" She exclaimed as she shot a water beam at the rock creature.
"You heard my sister! Put her down!" Trail called as he shot his fire at it, which their combined elements caused some steam to come out of the Rock Creature as it gave a roar and dropped Aqua as it began to crack.
"Trail… Fire and Water combined, the steam is cracking it." Aqua said as she rushed to her brother just as the Rock Monster broke into pieces while some steam was left in the air.
"Like the dragon. We work together." Trail said as he and his sister smirk as they faced the Rock Monsters and they shot their elements at one of them each. "Switch!" He called out as he and Aqua switch opponents, which caused the Rock Monsters to roar in pain before steam appeared and they exploded.
Soon the smoke cleared as the giantonic rock monsters were now too small for them to fight. They soon gave girlish screams and ran away from both Trail and Aqua as hoofbumped each other. They then walked up to the front entrance as they were blocked by big doors before Trail noticed something on the door. It looked like a lock with a familiar symbol on it.
"Amazing. Gotta be granddad's handy work." Trail noted after gesturing to the symbol.
"I don't see a handle." Aqua frowned, not seeing a way in. "How do we open something this big?"
"By working together." Trail said with a determined look as he shot a fire beam at the door. "Fire!"
"Water!" Aqua called out as she shot a water beam, which did no effect.
"Working together, haha. I think it's like this." Traili said as he gave the two girls a click tongue and a wink before charging at the door, which he kicked, but nothing as he tried punching it, which made him cringed in pain as he shook the pain as he tried budging the door again, but nothing. "No! Ugh! We came so far! Ugh! We used our fire and water power together! We did everything right! Why would our grandfather build a door that doesn't open!?" He ranted as he kept hitting the door in frustration.
Aqua then noticed the Dragon Blade's had a symbol on it and it looks similar to the one on the door as she gasped in realization. "The Dragon Blade!" She exclaimed with a smile. "Our parents said that this is the key to our success and the key to retrieving the Time Blade. For once, take two seconds to think a problem through." She told her brother. "I think it's the literal key." She said as she gestured to the stamp.
"Dad's Blacksmith stamp." Trail muttered as Aqua took the Dragon Blade and placed it over the stamp as the blue side started glowing on the blade.
"Both of us!" Aqua said to her brother as Trail held the blade as well as the red side glowed as the Smith siblings turned it and stood back. After a moment of silence, the door opened as they stepped forward, which showed the Reversal Blade in the middle of the room.
"The Reversal Blade!" Traili said as he rushed up to the Blade. "We did it!"
"Okay, but be careful." Aqua said as Trail got closer to the blade. "There may be one final…" She was cut off when Trail took the Reversal Blade out, the whole room began to crumble down. "Trap." She muttered as she and Trail dodged the falling boulders. "You think maybe we were supposed to do that together?! Like everything else?!" She questioned her brother as the entire cave was falling apart
"We gotta bolt!" Trail said to them. "Or do you want to stay and think the problem through?" He sarcastically said to his sister.
"The Fusion Dragon!" Aqua said as she quickly grabbed the Dragon Blade and tossed it before she and Trail shot their elemental powers at it, summoning the Fusion Dragon as it appeared and gave a roar as the two hopped on and started flying out of the cave.
Back at the Swamp, Samurai X drove Borg and Dr. Gear up the ramps. "Stop them! Stop them all at all cost!" Blunck exclaimed as the Ninja and their friends started climbing up the Iron Doom while Lloyd did Airjitzu to get up while they used their powers and magic to keep the Vermillion Warriors away.
"There's so many!" Silverstream exclaimed.
"Way more then what we're use to!" Gallus called out.
"Keep fighting!" Twilight yelled as the magic users shot their magic at the Vermillion Warriors. "We gotta hold them back long enough for Samurai X to get Cyrus Borg and Dr. Gear to the panel!"
"Okay, just hope they get there soon!" Fang said as he ducked under one of their attacks.
"The control panel is right there." Borg said while pointing to the side of the Apparatus while Samurai X kept driving on the walls
"I hope you two have no fear of heights." Samurai X said to Borg and Dr. Gear.
"What?" Borg asked before he and Dr. Gear were launched out, which made them scream as they were flung into the air while Samurai X continued to drive around.
"Air team, intercept." Blunck ordered as the flying Vermillions came in and flew towards Samurai X, which Frost noticed.
"Airjitzu. NINJA, GO!" Frost called as he Airjitzu up towards the flying Vermillion behind Samurai X and used his powers to knock him down before he landed as Samurai X launched himself up and quickly caught Borg while Frost jumped in and caught his mother as they landed next to the Apparatus as Samurai X carried Borg towards the panel as Borg opened it up.
"Let's see, I know the code is a thirteen hundred digit sequence, but… Oh…" Borg muttered while trying to think while the others kept fighting off the Vermillion Warriors.
"We know it's something…" Gear mentioned before Rivet managed to catch up to them.
"How's it going up there?!" Lloyd asked from down below after blasting a few Vermilions back.
"They need more time!" Frost shouted back.
"Well, make it fast!" Rainbow called as they kept fighting off the Vermillion Warriors.
Back at the Boiling Sea, the Hooves of Time looked over the ocean while waiting for Trail and Aqua to return. "Where are they? What if they failed? Then what do we do?" Acronix questioned his brother in concern before the Fusion Dragon leaped out of the water and flew back up to the ship.
"They're back, and they have the Time Blade!" Topaz called out as the dragon flew by and Trail held up the Time Blade. The dragon soon vanished as Aqua and Trail landed back onto the ship.
"Master Wu, Celestia, are we too late?!" Trail asked with a worried tone.
"T-Trail…?" Wu spoke up with a weak tone.
"Aqua…" Celestia weakly spoke next as Trail and Aqua approached them.
"Yes and we're gonna save you both." Trail said to them, but then the Hooves of Time blocked their path.
"Actually, you're not!" Krux said with a smirk.
"What? You promised if we retrieved the Time Blade we could help them." Trail said with a glare.
"We had a deal, father!" Clockwise shouted with a glare.
"Yeah. About that. We lied." Acronix said with a smirk, which shocked the group.
"Did you really think we would allow Wu and Celestia to remain after all the trouble they've caused us over the years?" Krux questioned with an evil smirk.
"Why are we not surprised that you double crossed us?" Tempura asked rhetorically before Clockwise took the Time Blade from Trail.
"You may have three of those, but me and my sister have three powers of each and the fourth Time Blade, plus you're outnumbered." Clockwise pointed out before putting up her ninja hood. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way." She dared while Tempura put on her ninja hood next as Clockwise's hooves glowed green and blue she gave the Reversal Blade to her sister.
"You think you little ones are superior then the original Hooves of Time?" Acronix taunted with a smirk as Tempura's hooves glowed red while she was holding the Reversal Blade.
"Let's find out you monsters!" Tempura yelled as she jumped forward and she clashed her Time Blade with her fathers while Clockwise faced their uncle as Machia joined in as well as she kicked the commander vermillion down.
Tempura and Krux held blades as Krux pushed her back. "The Blade is mine, daughter!" Krux yelled out.
"Oh, yeah, well here it comes! Because I've practiced a new move. NINJA, GO!" Tempura called out as she did Spinjitzu, which was mixed with red and yellow, as she went towards her father.
"Spinjitzu?" Krux asked with a smug tone before knocking her daughter back with ease. "It's a fool's art!" Tempura held her stomach before she looked at the Time Blade in her hoof and got an idea.
"Do-over time!" she declared as her father charged at her before she used the Time Blade. Its power affected the area around them as time reversed and she was back doing Spinjitzu.
"Spinjitzu? It's a fool's art!" Krux asked with a smug tone before Tempura moved out of the way this time and got behind.
"Not this time!" She declared before she spin kicked him down.
Krux glared at his daughter before he stood up. "Slow down, dear." He quipped as he fired a beam from the Slow-Mo Blade, but Tempura ducked as it hit Machia as Clockwise kicked Acronix away as Machia was about to tackle her, but was slowing down in the time bubble.
"OOOOOOOOhhhhhh, nnnnnnnooooo!" Machia yelled out in slow-mo as Clockwise gave a smirk and kicked Machia away, landing on Krux as they were knocked down.
"Wu, Celestia, I'm coming!" Tempura said as she rush up to the two aging ponies as Acronix got up and rushed behind her with the Forward Blade held up.
Steel saw this as he pushed Tempura aside and blocked Acronix's attack with his hoof, but then time energy was released from the Forward Blade that knocked Steel back as Marine caught him. "Dad!" Trail cried out as he was gonna check on him, but Acornix knocked him down as the Hooves of Time regrouped as the heroes did as well as they glared at each other.
"I'm alright." Steel assured them while Marine supported him. "He just caught me off-guard." He said.
"Get them!" Trail exclaimed as they charged at them, but Acronix quickly used the Pause Blade.
"Stop!" Acronix ordered as he froze the heroes in place before they could react.
"Excellent work, brother." Krux said with a smirk as he walked up to Tempura and took the Reversal Blade from her. "Thank you, sweety." He taunted.
"Four completes the set." Acronix said with a smirk as the Hooves of Time looked at all four Time Blades, feeling nostalgic to have all four of their powers back. "While the rookies have only three of the four sets, don't you think brother?"
"Yes, and not only that but the rookies still haven't unlocked their full potential either." Krux added before looking at his brother. "What should we do with them?"
"First off, now it's time to return to the Swamp and let's drop them off here." Acronix said with a smirk, which his brother agreed as they turned to Machia. "Supreme Commander Machia, make it so."
"As you command." Machia nodded as she got onto the controls with an evil laugh and rode the zeppelin back to the swamp while leaving the frozen ninja in mid air over the Boiling Sea.
Soon, the pause effect wore off as they all started falling from the sky and straight towards the Boiling Sea as they screamed. Aqua and Trail looked at each other before they nodded as Trail tossed the Dragon Blade up as the two shot their powers into it, summoning the Fusion Dragon as it swooped down and caught them and they caught the others.
"Gotcha!" Trail called out as they caught them while he and Aqua held Wu and Celestia. "It's not too late to save Master Wu and Celestia. But we still need the Reversal Blade."
"We better hurry, because I don't think they have much time left!" Topaz pointed out with a worried tone.
"Then what are we waiting for?!" Clockwise asked rhetorically. "Let's get after them!" She yelled as they flew after the Hooves of Time as fast as the Fusion Dragon can go.
Back in the swamp, the other heroes are still fighting the Vermillion Warriors, but even with their powers and magic combined, more kept coming. "Seriously, how many Vermillions are there?!" Smolder questioned before she breathed out ice and froze some warriors.
"From what we can tell, more than even us could handle!" Melody called as she and her siblings tried to use their Serpentine abilities, but it did nothing. "Not even our powers can mess these guys up!"
"Anytime today, guys!" Rainbow called out to the two inventors on the Iron Doom.
"We know it's a 1300-digit sequence." Gear mentioned as she and Borg thought real hard about the code. "Something important…"
"Wait, did you say 1300?" Rivet asked as she got an idea about what the code might be. "That's the exact number of digits to program a Nindroid, the first line of coding one!" She quickly went up to the control panel and started typing in the code.
"She's a good guesser." Dr. Gear commented.
"She is smart." Samurai X said as they watched Rivet type in the code while the others kept fighting off the Vermillion Warriors.
"Seriously, guys!" Sandbar called out to them as the heroes regrouped.
"3, 7, 9, 2, 5, 4, 6, 8, 9, 2, 1, 5, 6, 3." Rivet, Frost, and the Samurai X all said at the same time as Rivet type in the code while the others avoided the Vermillion Warriors.
"Guys!" Lloyd shouted.
"Just a few hundred more digits!" Rivet said as she typed faster.
"What?! Could this get any harder!?" Thunder complained.
"Oh, you didn't just ask that, did you?" Spike questioned as he breathed fire and kicked a warrior back. "You just totally jinxed us, Thunder."
"Come on. That's not how life works." Thunder scoffed before they looked up and saw the zeppelin come down from the ceiling.
"You were saying, Lightning boy?" Morro asked, giving Thunder a look.
"Not saying another word." Thunder said with a sheepish look as the Hooves of Time saw the fighting going on.
"What is that cat doing with Borg and Gear?" Krux questioned after seeing Rivet at the Apparatus.
"I think they're trying to shut down the Iron Doom before it ever becomes operational." Acronix summarized.
"We'll take care of them." Krux assured. "Machia, proceed as planned." He said as Machia nodded as they got close to the five at the Apparatus with all four Time Blades out.
"Vermillion. To the Iron Doom." Machia ordered through the hive mind. "It's time to commence Operation Return and Repeat." She ordered as the Vermillion Warriors stopped attacking the Ninja and their friends as they walked towards the Iron Doom, much to the heroes' confusion.
"Why snakes stop fighting?" Yona questioned.
"Are they regrouping?" Ocellus asked as they saw the Vermilion enter the Iron Doom.
"And so Operation Return and Repeat begins." Raggmunk said to Blunck.
"Huh, good name, too." Blunck commented as the two walked up to the Iron Doom as the Vermillion Warriors entered while some of the snakes slithered around inside the armored mech as it began to move.
"8, 4, 7, 2, 1 and…" Rivet was about to finish the last digit before Krux blasted her, Frost, Samurai X, Dr. Gear and Borg with the Pause Blade, freezing them in time.
"Zero." Acronix said with an evil smirk. "As in zero chance of success." He said as he and his brother walked on both sides of the Apparatus and then placed each Time Blades in their slots, which sent temporal energy into it as it began to power up and spun around. "Time is wasted. Come brother." He said as he swung the five away as they fell down and got out of their pause effect.
"No!" Pinkie cried out as the others turned to her. "Yeah, I talked."
"Come on!" Twilight called out as those with wings flew up while the other Ninja did Airjitzu.
"NINJA, GO!" They all exclaimed as they flew up and caught Rivet, Frost, Samurai X, Dr. Gear, and Borg before they hit the ground.
"Look!" Luna called out as the Hooves of Time entered the Iron Doom while the whole place was shaking. The scaffolding started to collapse as the colossal mech began to move. The apparatus in its chest spun around quickly as the colossus lifted up its arms and a powerful beam of energy struck the sky and opened the time vortex.
"We're too late!" Flash feared.
"Just a few more moments, brother." Krux said with a proud tone.
"Soon, Equestria will be ours." Acronix said with an evil smirk. "Nothing can stop us now." He said as Krux looked up.
"Look!" Krux yelled as they looked up and saw the Fusion Dragon flying over them and heading their way. "Why did you have to say that!?" He questioned his brother as the Fusion Dragon drew closer to them.
"They're too far!" Trail shouted in worry. "The dragon can't get enough speed!"
"We're too heavy!" Tempura exclaimed. "We need to lose some weight!"
"We can help with that!" Topaz said as she and Marine carried Steel up.
"Good luck, kids!" Marine said to them.
"Mom, Topaz, what are you doing?!" Aqua called out.
"Giving you the speed you need!" Marine answered.
"Good luck, Ninja!" Topaz said as she, Marine, and Steel jumped off the dragon as it gave a roar as they entered the dome as Topaz landed perfectly while Marine landed perfectly as well while holding her husband.
"Okay, our mom? Totally awesome." Trail said with a smirk.
"I just hope we see them again." Aqua said with a frown.
"After we stop our father and uncle!" Clockwise exclaimed while gesturing to the Iron Doom.
"And me getting something very important while we're on that thing." Tempora said to herself as she saw this as an opportunity as they flew towards the Iron Doom.
"Control time…" Krux started off.
"Control everything." Acronix finished as the Iron Doom glowed and entered the time vortex as the Fusion Dragon flew after them as Aqua, Trail, Tempura, Clockwise, Wu, and Celestia entered as well before the portal closed as those on the ground looked up at where the portal was.
"Children." Marine gasped while she held her husband.
"Trail." Topaz whispered with a worried tone.
"Aqua." Thunder spoke next.
"Sister. Brother." Luna said sadly.
"Wu. Celestia." Morro muttered.
"Tempura." Irona muttered.
"Clockwise." Gaia said in concern.
"Where did they go?" Landrush asked in wonder.
"More like when did they go?" Twilight corrected as they all looked up where the portal was while standing in the middle of the wreck dome, wondering where or when their friends were ending up after following the Hooves of Time.
