New York City 1994 Xanatos Tower Sunset
After the sunset that day the slumbering gargoyles awoke with a roaring yawn. "Did you all have a pleasant slumber brothers and sisters" I ask the others as they awaken from their stone sleep. "We slept well brother, Daniel, me and the others wondered if we could explore the city learn about it" asked one of my brothers. I thought for a few moments and responded "very well, but stay on the rooftops and stay out of sight, otherwise mentor and Goliath will be very upset, understand me". "Yes we understand brother, thank you" one of my sisters. I go to Goliath and mentor to let them know of the others departure and mine as well. "See you at dusk later" I say I was about to leave when I am stopped by Xanatos, "where are you going Daniel, a late night jaunt through the city" he asks as he pats my shoulder. "Something like that you could say" I respond and then he walks away I shake my head and tell Goliath and mentorm"I don't trust him", "what do you mean lad" asks mentor, "I'm not sure something about him rubs me wrong, that's all, anyway farewell" I say and glide off to meet up with Elisa. After I arrive on the rooftop in question I stay in the shadows until I see Elisa come in to the roof through the door. "Hello Elisa glade you could make it" I say alerting her to my presence, she looks at me and says "wow, wasn't entirely sure you would come Daniel". I smile and say "I said I would and I always try to be a gargoyle of my word, especially with a beautiful woman such as yourself", she smiles and blushes a bit at that when we hear something when a familiar voice say "should you really be trying to court a young lass you hardly know lad", I look to see the former clan leader coming down to where we are. "Mentor what are you doing here" I ask with a blush on my cheeks, as he chuckles in responds and says "you mean besides your flirting with the lass here, I came to make sure you don't get ambushed". "Elisa this is the former clan leader and current mentor to me and Goliath" I tell Elisa as she recovers from her blush and says "it's fine, so are you coming.. uh, what do I call you anyway". "What is it with you humans and your naming things, does the sky, does the river" he asks. "The rivers called the Hudson" she says. "Perhaps it's time our kin start taking names mentor, after all names aren't just to identify one another, they also help remind other of us and help our deeds and actions be remembered by those who come after us, when we are gone" I say. "Hmm, then I'll be a Hudson as well" he says. "Very good are you coming with us Hudson" I ask him, he then shakes his head and says "no lad this new world is too big, too bright, too loud, I just wanted to make sure you were alright lad". "If you say so, come Elisa let us begin our tour" I tell her as we begin our little jaunt through the city.
Timeskip Central Park
After seeing the sights and stopping a few muggers we arrive at the park when Elisa says "we're probably the only couple who don't have to worry about muggers". I nod and say "yes, but the world is still just as savage today as it was before our slumber, but the same is true that there is still just as much if not more beauty in the world as well". "That is a beautiful sentiment Daniel" she says, I then respond "thank you". After a few short minutes we are attacked by a group of unknown people, one of them hitting me with a dart of some kind, which made me feel sluggish, we run and hide under a bridge were Elisa locates a device of some kind on my shoulder area. "Xanatos, he patted my shoulder before I left to meet with you Elisa, probably to plant the device" I say, she nods her head and says "I think so too". She gives the device to a dog and shoos it away we make it to a small clearing when I say "Too close to sunrise, helpless during the day" After a few minutes the sunrises and I enter my slumber, upon seeing this she says "Daniel".
Timeskip Central Park Sunset
Elisa was resting next to the sleeping Daniel after a long day of fighting the people who attacked them the night before. As the sun began to set that day Elisa watched as Daniel awoke from his sleep. "Well you seem to be doing better" she said. "Sleep heals and rejuvenates us, you stayed with me the whole day" I ask. "Well someone had to make sure those rent-a cop rejects didn't get you" she said. "Thank you Elisa, I should be getting back to the others they will be worried, Elisa can you try and find a link between Xanatos and the people who attacked us last night" I ask. "Yeah, but why do you think it was Xanatos anyway" she asks. "Something about him makes me feel that he can't be trusted, I only had this feeling about two other people and that was a long time ago and when I didn't listen to this feeling I lost most of my clan" I say. "Ok I'll look into it, but please be careful" she says. "Always try to bee" I say as I make my way back to the castle.
Timeskip Xanatos Tower
After I return to the castle I am welcomed by the others. "Ah there you are lad we were beginning to worry about you" said Hudson. "Sorry to worry, but me and Elisa ran into some trouble, I almost wish you had come with us Hudson" I say. "Hudson?" asks one of my brothers. "Aye it's my name, what of it" says Hudson. "Nothing" says one, "it's a great name" says another. "You know Hudson perhaps they should have names as well" I say. "I love that idea Daniel, hmm, I'm Brooklyn" says Brooklyn. "Broadway" says Broadway. "Lexington, what do you think" says Lexington. "Good names, what about you three" I ask. "How about, you give us names Daniel" asks one of my sisters. "Only if that is what you three want" I say and then all three of them nod their heads. "How about Emma", I say pointing to one with red hair, she then nodded with a smile, "Ok, and how about Lilly" I say to one with blonde hair making her smile and nod, "and lets see, how about Nora" I ask the last one who has brown hair, she smiles and says "Nora, I like it". After I finish naming them our beast come up to us and I say "this one will need a name as well". "I already got the perfect name for him, from now on you are Bronx" Brooklyn told the newly named Bronx. "These are all fine names, by the way Hudson I have to talk to you" I ask Hudson. "Ok lad" he says as we walk off to one of the corridors and he then asks "what is this about Lad". "I a feelin that Xanatos has dark plans for us and the last time I had a feeling like this it was from the old Captain of the guard and Goliaths lover back in Scotland, but I did nothing and you know the results of that" I say. "Are you sure lad" he asks and I nodd, "well then you should probably know something she's back and here at the castle". "There is no way that she was under the same spell as us, I felt it the moment the Magus cast the spell a thousand years ago and when it was lifted last night, I would recognize if the spell was broken again" I say. "Are you sure lad" he asks and I nod my head in response. "Then we will have to be careful moving forward lad" he says and I respond by saying "I agree Hudson, by the way we may not be able to trust Xanatos or her, but I know for a fact we can trust Elisa, she stayed with me all though the day while I slept and protected me from our attackers, if that doesn't prove we can trust her I don't know what would". "Aye lad I think you might be right about that" he says.
Timeskip the next night
Elisa was showing me, Hudson and Goliath what she had discovered about Xanatos and Cyberbioticks data that Goliath and the others took from them that I didn't help with, because I didn't trust Xanatos and Goliath's angel. After a few minutes we were attacked by flying machines that resembled Goliath. As we fought this Steel clan as Xanatos called them Goliath's angel said "if only you had listened to me Goliath, we could of had the castle to ourselves". "You mean because you and the captain of the guard betrayed the princess" I said. "How could you know that Daniel, me and the captain never mentioned the plan or wrote it down" she demanded to know. "I felt dark intentions coming from you and the captain, as well as Xanatos, which is why I had Elisa look into him and Cyberbioticks after Xanatos asked you to attack them" I say. "Looks like I should have killed you a thousand years ago, but before you die you should know I have a name as well, " my name is Demona" she said and she launched a rocket at me only for Goliath to dive in the way of it while yelling "Nooo". After Goliath fell down I cast a spell to sent her back to Scotland by saying "Evil witch I send you back to the land of your ancestor's, begone" after being hit with the spell she vanishes in a puff of smoke and dust. "Woah, he hardly ever does a magic like that" says Brooklyn to Elisa and the others, afterwards we all rush to Goliath's side. "Brother, brother, why would you do that" I ask. "Because, I was unable to save our clan back in then, but I could save you now" Goliath said in a strained voice. "But you are the clan leader, if you die who will lead us, who will protect the others, without you we will have no leader" I ask as the others hold each other with tears in their eyes. "The clan will have a leader Daniel, and that leader will be you" he weakly says. "Me but I'm no leader" I say to this he shakes his head and responds "but you are a leader Daniel and you have the wisdom of Hudson to help guide you, as well as the help of Elisa, you will make me proud, brother" he says as he slips into eternal rest. "I will try Goliath, I will try" I say to my brother for the final time. "What shall we do now Daniel" asks Brooklyn. "We will take him somewhere to bury him and then we must leave the castle" I say. "Leave but Xanatos" Lex says before I interrupt him "will probably find some way to escape from justice, am I right Elisa" I ask. "Unfortunately, most of the evidence won't stick in court, he'll probably be out in a couple of months" she says a bit bitter at that. "Then we must be gone by then, do you know anywhere we could go" I ask Elisa. "Hmm, I think I might" sh says.
Timeskip Police station Clocktower
It has been a few days since we buried Goliath outside the city and since I became clan leader. We were currently moving into the clock tower with Elisa's help. "I know it's not much, but it's better than nothing right" she says. "Aye it is lass" says Hudson. "Don't worry we will find a way to not only survive, but also reclaim our home, we must be patient and remain hopeful" I say. "Aye Daniel's right we will in time" he says. "Come it is almost sunrise" I say as we walk to take our places outside. "Elisa, I want to say thank you for everything" I tell her. "Don't mention it, after all you still owe me a second date remember" sh says. "I wouldn't forget that for anything Elisa, I promise you that" I say. "Ugh... sunrise can't come soon enough" says Brooklyn. "I heard that Brooklyn" I say. "Damn it" he says as the sun finishes rising bringing us into slumber. "I look forward to it Daniel" Elisa says as she walks down to the police station.
