Chapter 21

Norrisville Part 3

After getting teleported into the Nomicon, Molly and Libby flew through the portal they were sucked into until they reached the other side, where they fell onto a hard floor. They both groaned before slowly getting back up. As they looked around, Molly and Libby noticed that they were in what appeared to be a dojo.

"So, this is the inside of the Nomicon?" Molly looked around her surroundings before she realized something. "Hey, where did Randy and Xehanort go?"

Upon realizing that they had gone missing, Libby looked around as well, but there was no one to be found. "We must have gotten separated from them when we entered the Nomicon. Hopefully we'll find them soon. I don't like the looks of this."

With that, Molly and Libby stepped further into the dojo in search of Randy and Xehanort. Unfortunately, they didn't get very far before countless Heartless surrounded them from all angles. In response, they summoned their keyblades as they got ready for a tough fight.

One by one, all of the Heartless raised their shurikens as they were ready to attack. There was no doubt that this was going to be tougher than their usual fight, so Molly and Libby tried to think of another way to fight back. Suddenly, Libby reached down her pocket as she thought of an idea.

"Molly, let's try using the dragon summon gem we got earlier! Maybe this person might help us!" Libby explained, taking out the summon gem.

"That's a great idea, Libby! Let's try it out!" Molly agreed.

At that moment, Libby raised the summon gem in the air, emitting a bright flash of light. The light soon dimmed down to reveal a teenage boy in a red jacket and blue shorts with spikey black hair that had green highlights. Confused, he looked around the dojo, trying to process where he was.

"Hello?" The boy was startled when he heard Molly's voice behind him.

The boy turned around to see Molly and Libby fighting back against the Heartless. He tried to process what he was looking at before he replied, "Uh, hi! Who are you?"

"Hi, it's nice to meet you! I am Molly McGee, and this is my girlfriend, Libby Stein-Torres!" Molly introduced.

"Molly, focus!" Libby yelled, blocking a shuriken from hitting Molly.

"Do you two need some help?" The boy asked.

"Maybe a little!" Libby said, slashing a Heartless with her keyblade. "Sorry we dragged you into this! We just don't think we can handle them on our own."

"Hey, it's cool! I know how to handle these guys!"

Suddenly, Molly and Libby were caught by surprise when they saw the boy transform into a dragon form of his former self. He now took the appearance a red muscular dragon with a yellow belly and green spikes on his back.

With lightning fast speed, the dragon flew towards the Heartless and slashed at them with his claws. Seeing this left Molly and Libby surprised by the dragon's strength.

"Wow! Thanks for the help!" Molly thanked with a grateful smile.

"Who are you, anyway?" Libby asked.

The dragon turned to face Molly and Libby with a confident grin. "My name is Jake Long, but you can call me, The American Dragon!"

As more Heartless appeared, Molly and Libby fought back with their magic spells while Jake flew in the air and breathed fire on all of the attacking Heartless. Thanks to Jake's help, all of the Heartless were quickly wiped out. Before long, not a single Heartless could be found, and the dojo was empty once more.

With the fight now over, Molly and Libby put away their keyblades while Jake returned to his human form.

"Thank you, Jake! Libby and I really appreciate your help!" Molly thanked.

"No problem! What were those things, anyway?" Jake asked.

"Those were the Heartless." Libby explained. "They usually go after the light in each world until their is nothing left of the world. We're sorry, Jake. We know we asked a lot from you already, but-"

"Say no more!" Jake interrupted. "If you need my help to save the worlds, you can count me in! Just let me know when you need help, and I'll be there to kick some Heartless butt!"

Molly smiled. "Thanks, Jake! We can really use all the help we can get!"

Once Jake returned to his summon gem, Molly and Libby took a moment to relax after their long battle. They were just about ready to resume their search for Randy and Xehanort before they took notice of something at the end of the room. Right in front of them was a swirling vortex of darkness.

Curious, Molly and Libby slowly approached it with their keyblades ready in case in decides to attack.

"I don't understand. I thought we already defeated all of the Heartless here." Molly said with a puzzled look.

"I don't know, Molly. This doesn't look like any kind of darkness we faced before." Libby replied.

Suddenly, the dark vortex flew into the air before it began to expand and change its form. This went on until it slowly descended back to the floor, taking the form of a ninja. The entity wore a dark colored ninja attire, with the Heartless symbol imprinted on the front, and glared at Molly and Libby with yellow eyes. It soon drew out its sword, to which the girls raised their keyblades in response.

"Uh oh! This Heartless looks pretty tough!" Libby noticed.

"You might be right! This ninja Heartless must be what's corrupting the Nomicon." Molly guessed.

Before Molly and Libby could react, the ninja Heartless raised its sword and summoned a shockwave, sending Molly and Libby flying across the room. They both groaned before slowly getting back up. In just one attack, this new enemy already showed that it was not a threat to be taken lightly.

Suddenly, a portal appeared behind Molly and Libby before Randy and Xehanort stepped through. Randy took one look at how injured Molly and Libby looked before rushing to their aid.

"Molly! Libby! Are you two alright? What happened?"

"Sorry, Randy! We're in a middle of a fight with that guy!" Molly pointed towards the ninja Heartless. "He's a lot tougher than he looks!"

Soon, Xehanort stepped forward to take a closer look at the entity. "A being of pure darkness. This is what is corrupting your Nomicon."

"Well, ninja or not, this dark entity is going down!" Randy said before drawing his sword and charging at the Heartless.

"Randy, wait!" Libby tried to warn Randy about the Heartless.

It was too late though as Randy already clashed swords with the Heartless. They both blocked each others strikes with their swords before Randy saw his chance for an opening. He was about to swing his sword before the ninja Heartless caught him by surprise and hit him with a wave of darkness. Just like with Molly and Libby, the Heartless' attack sent Randy flying across the room. After getting over the impact of the attack, Randy slowly got up from the floor.

"Okay, Molly. You might be right after all. This guy is pretty tough!" Randy sighed.

This time, Xehanort tried to attack by slashing the Heartless with his keyblade. In response, the Heartless dodged to the side with lightning fast speed and slashed the keyblade out of his hands, leaving him defenseless. It grabbed Xehanort with its powers of darkness before throwing him against a wall.

Shocked by this, Molly tried calling out for him. "Xehanort, are you okay?"

"I-I'm fine." Xehanort replied as he got over the attack. "We can't beat it like this."

"If it's made of darkness, maybe we can weaken it with light." Libby suggested.

"Libby, you're a genius!" Molly explained. "Let's try hitting it with our light spells."

As the ninja Heartless ran towards them, Molly and Libby surprised it by firing orbs of light at it. This caused the Heartless to stagger in place as it leaned against its sword for support.

Whenever the ninja Heartless tried to stand, Molly and Libby staggered it with more light attacks. It was at this point when Randy and Xehanort realized what Molly and Libby were planning. While the Heartless was still distracted, Randy and Xehanort ran straight at it and slashed it with their weapons at the same time. This caused the Heartless to shake and slowly lose its form until it reverted to its original swirling vortex form. Unable to fight anymore, the darkness flew away with Molly and the others giving chase.

Back in the real world, Howard was casually laying on the bed, feeling sleepy. He was about to fall asleep before he was startled out of the bed when the darkness flew out of the Nomicon with Molly and her friends appearing shortly afterwards.

"Guys! What the heck is that thing?!" Howard yelled, pointing a shaking finger at the dark being.

"That thing is what was taking over the Nomicon." Randy explained. "You should have seen it, Howard! It took the form of this dark ninja and-"

Before Randy could finish his sentence, a green aura began to surround the darkness before it flew away out the window.

"No wait!" Molly tried to follow it, but it was too late as the darkness was long gone by the time Molly looked out the window.

"Oh no! This isn't good! Now the darkness is free in Norrisville and would do who knows what out there!" Libby started to panic.

"Don't panic, Libby! With the darkness gone, the Nomicon should be back to normal!" Randy explained. "I'm going back in there and see if it can give me any advice this time!"

At that moment, Randy opened the Nomicon once more. Just like last time, he fell unconscious, leaving everyone in awkward silence. A few minutes went by before Randy snapped back to reality.

"So, is the Nomicon back to normal?" Molly asked.

Randy nodded. "Yes, it seems to be free of the darkness now."

"Well don't keep us in suspense! What did the Nomicon tell you this time?" Howard asked.

"I still don't understand it myself." Randy admitted. "The Nomicon told me, in order to achieve victory, we need a balance of light and darkness."

Hearing this confused everyone. Just a second ago, they had to fight back against the darkness, but now they need balance? None of them knew what to make of this, so they were all left pondering what to do next.

Meanwhile at McFist Industries, McFist was rushing Viceroy to create the complete versions of the destructobots Molly and the others destroyed earlier. Unfortunately for Viceroy, he wasn't even halfway done, but still had to put up with his boss screaming at him.

"What's the hold up,Viceroy? I thought you said you would be finished by now!" McFist yelled, now more impatient than ever.

"I would have been, but someone has been breathing down my neck and yelling at me all day!" Viceroy retorted.

"Wait, someone has been distracting you from your work this whole time. Sheesh! That guy sounds like a real jerk!" McFist commented, not picking up on Viceroy's sarcasm.

Viceroy rolled his eyes in annoyance. "Yes, he does!"

Before Viceroy could continue his work, the darkness that corrupted the Nomicon flew into the room, causing McFist and his assistant to jump in surprise.

"Viceroy, what is that? Is it another one of your experiments?" McFist asked.

"N-No! I have no idea what this is!" Viceroy stuttered, having never seen anything like it before.

"Just think of it as a gift from me." A voice was suddenly echoed out of nowhere.

Confused, McFist and Viceroy looked around the room, trying to figure out where the voice was coming from. They soon got their answer when Maleficent appeared in front of them in a burst of green flames.

"Hey! Who are you and where did you come from?!" McFist demanded. "You are on private McFist property! Viceroy, sound the alarms!"

"I'm already on it!" Viceroy stepped forward to press a nearby red button.

Before Viceroy could reach the button, Maleficent fired a powerful magic spell, instantly destroying the console it was attached to. Seeing this caused McFist and Viceroy to hug each other in fear as Maleficent stepped closer.

"L-Look, I don't know what you want, but you really don't want to hurt me! I'm Hannibal McFist, local gazillionaire! Take Viceroy instead!" McFist cowered behind Viceroy.

Viceroy stared at McFist in annoyance. "Really, Hannibal? You do realize that I'm the only one who is able to create robots to destroy the Ninja, right?"

"Oh, right! Why don't I give you this coupon instead? It will give you a discount on any McFist product of your choosing." McFist offered.

"Cease your sniveling, both of you!" Maleficent ordered, already losing her patience with the two of them. "I am merely here to help you with your little Ninja problem. With this being of pure darkness, even your weakest machine can be powered to heights unimaginable."

"What? That's impossible!" Viceroy argued before taking out a scanner. "My robots can't get any more powerful than they already-"

Viceroy paused when he took notice of the results of the scanner. Curious, McFist looked over Viceroy's shoulder to see nothing but a bunch of random numbers and equations he didn't understand.

"She's right! I don't know how, but this entity is far more powerful than we could imagine." Viceroy explained, placing the darkness in a glass container.

McFist pondered for a moment before he thought of an idea. "Say, Viceroy! Weren't you working on some kind of secret project?"

Viceroy nodded. "I was! I wasn't able to finish it because I couldn't find a proper power source. However, this dark entity should be more than enough to complete the project!"

"So, with this, we should be able to finally destroy the Ninja once and for all!" McFist gloated.

"Indeed! However, darkness is not something to be taken lightly. If you abuse its power, it will find a way to corrupt-"

Maleficent was soon interrupted when McFist continued to gloat. "Ha! Finally victory is mine! Viceroy, hurry up and put that dark entity in the machine!"

Seeing that McFist wasn't paying attention to her in the least, Maleficent let out an annoyed sigh. "I'm so glad I won't have to come back to this world." Maleficent muttered under her breath, relieved that she won't have to put up with McFist anymore.

Once Maleficent left Norrisville without a trace, McFist and Viceroy got started on their latest project. Now that he had darkness on his side, McFist would make sure that his latest plan would not fail and will finally destroy the Ninja along with the rest of his friends.
