You never wanted to alarm me
Two ravens in the old oak tree.
You always worried about someone else.
"Brooke. I couldn't make out barely anything you said but hospital."
"What's going on?" Lucas asked. As he paused and looked to his wife.
Her clothes blood stained. Her body shaking.
"He didn't tell me about how meeting with her went."
"He had decided to stay home. Because he wanted to spend time together." "We were talking."
"It was just the two of us there. We had gotten breakfast on the way. It was so nice. It was quiet.
"Taylor barged in and she pulled out a gun."
"She pointed the gun at me. And said i took away the only thing that ever mattered to her." Brooke explained.
Lucas felt his heart drop. He could picture it all.
"He pushed me out of the way. And after he was shot she just ran away."
"I called 911. And i tried to stop the bleeding."
"He shouldn't of done that. Why did he do that?"
"He eyes opened and shut."
"He tried to talk on the ride over and i didn't want him too."
"He needed to rest to save his strength."
"How is he doing?" Lucas asked. Feeling tears well up in his own eyes.
"I don't know. They took him through to the emergency room doors and that was it."
"You need to sit and try to relax and stay calm."
"I can go hone and get you something else to wear.? You need to eat and drink. I can go to the vending machine.?"
"How are you?" Lucas asked.
"I can't think about that. Oh god."
"Sage and Lowen need to be picked up from school."
"I don't want to leave him." Brooke proclaimed.
"Don't think about it. I'm going to pick them up. Drop them off my parents. We don't have answers for them yet."
"Its better they aren't around for this." Lucas replied.
"Thank you. He's going to be okay right?" Brooke asked softly.
"He's a Scott. He's going to fight as much as he can. And what he can't do we'll take on." Lucas reassured her.
Hugging her tightly. As he left and began to drive towards the elementary school.

"What did you do?" Haley asked. As Taylor pulled into the driveway of her modest home.
"You don't understand the full story. There was a shooting. Police. People in town gossip."
"What the hell have you done?" Haley exclaimed.
"She took him from me! All those years. I wanted contact and she refused she kept me away. Brainwashed him against me! "Taylor exclaimed.
"I need to leave town. I had no choice." Taylor insisted.

Lucas parked his car in the first parking he could find. Went into the school and signed out his children.
"Why are we leaving school?" Lowen asked.
"Something's wrong. You're upset. Where's momma?" Sage asked.
Lucas eventually stopped and parked in his parents driveway. He took a breath and turned to look at his youngest children.
"Something happened to Simon. He's been hurt and is in the hospital." Lucas explained.
