AN: Sup people. Here is a slice of life chapter! Hooray!
At the base, Mr. Cuddles sat at the computer going over his emails.
"Martha, if I was told that I, a Teddy bear, would be checking emails for a lawyer job I wouldn't believe you." He says.
"It does seem unbelievable Mr. Cuddles." Martha admitted. "Then again we live in a strange world. It seems like we have a new email coming in."
The email appeared on the screen and Mr. Cuddles' eyes widened. "I don't believe this. Martha contact the team and get them over at the base!" Mr. Cuddles ordered.
"Sending the message right away." said Martha.
An hour later the entire L-Crew arrived at the base and gathered in front of Mr. Cuddles who was now joined by Soothsayer.
"Alright Mr. Cuddles, what was so important that you had to call everyone in?" Lori asked.
"It is important Lori. I just got an email from the make a wish foundation and a fan wants to meet you guys." Mr. Cuddles explained.
"Someone wants to meet us?" Lynn asked. Mr. Cuddles nods.
"Yeah! Isn't it great?" He says. However everyone seemed a little unsure. "What's up?"
"In all honesty, we're not entirely if now is the right time for this." Lori explained. "With everything that's happened lately with Petty's rampage, Ryker being framed for murder and the Terror Crew just existing I'm just unsure if now is a good time for all of this."
"It just wouldn't feel right. Given what's going on right now." Luna said. "I had the worst press conference of my life." She sighed.
"I hate to break a kid's heart and feelings. But we're going to have to say no." Lincoln said,
"Yeah but maybe we should say yes." Leni says surprising everyone. "I know it probably isn't the greatest time but maybe that's why it's the best time. We're all so stressed out with everything that's been going on lately maybe we just need something to provide us with a distraction."
"I never thought I would say this. But Leni's right." said Lisa. "We need this distraction from everything that has happened recently."
"And aren't kids that are part of Make-A-Wish usually terminally ill?" Bobby asked. Everyone goes quiet. Lori turns to Mr. Cuddles.
"Tell them we say yes." Lori tells him. Mr. Cuddles nodded and turned back to the computer. She turns to Soothsayer. "Where's Ryker and Daniel?" Soothsayer sighs.
"Ryker is doing the same thing he's been doing the past couple days. Hunting down the man in the skull mask." Soothsayer told her. "As for Daniel, he's running some errands before he leaves Royal Woods."
"Well it was nice having him around to help us out with the Earthquake, the cult and Xander." Lori said.
"Indeed but he doesn't like to stay in one place for long." Soothsayer reminded her. "We should be grateful for all the help he provided while he was here and the fact he stayed as long as he did."
"That is true." Lori said. "But Ryker on the other hand. I just hope he doesn't take the law into his own hands."
"You must remember Lori, in Ryker's time taking the law into your own hands was normal." Soothsayer reminded her. "However Ryker is smart. I know for a fact that he won't do anything foolish."
In another part of town, Ryker stood over a man who was hunched over and bleeding.
"I'm not gonna ask again." Ryker growled as glared down at the man. "Where's the man in the skull mask?"
"I don't know where he is!" The man cried out.
"Wrong answer!" Ryker replied as he curbstomped on the man's wrist.
The man screams in pain. "I swear I don't know where he is!" He shouted. "He just appeared one day! That's all I know I swear!" Ryker scowls.
"You have ten seconds to get out of my sight." He growled. The man slowly and unsteadily got to his feet and quickly limped off until Ryker couldn't see him no more. "Damn it. Another dead end." He walks to his bike that was parked nearby. "I need a drink.
When he arrives at the Drunkin Hermit, he sees that it's not that crowded and Todd is cleaning the bar counter as Ryker sits down.
"No luck again?" Todd asks, not looking up from his cleaning.
"Not at all." Ryker sighed. "Whiskey. Leave the bottle." Todd nodded as he placed a shot glass and a bottle of whiskey on the bar and poured him a shot. Ryker chugged down the whiskey and refilled the shot glass.
"So what are you going to do when you find this guy?" Todd asked.
"Make him pay. Break every bone in his body and then toss his beaten up body to the cops." Ryker said.
"You're playing a dangerous game Ryker." Todd tells him.
"I'll say." They both look over and see Rebecca in the doorway wearing street clothes. "Why is that I'm not surprised to find you here?" She walks over and sits next to him.
"Ma'am." Ryker greeted with a tip of his hat earning him an eyeroll from the off duty cop.
"You know you don't have to keep doing that." She tells him. "We're friends now." She turns to Todd. "Think you can get me a bourbon?"
"Coming right up." Todd replied before turning to his shelves of alcohol. Rebecca turns to Ryker.
"There's a rumor going around that a guy dressed like a cowboy is going around beating up local street thugs." Rebecca tells him. "You know anything about that?"
"I'm going to assume you're referring to me?" Ryker asked as he took another shot.
"This is not have how the Justice System work! You can't beat up things for information!" Rebecca said.
"It is where I'm from." Ryker replied as he pulled out a cigar.
"And where's that?" Rebecca asked exasperated. Ryker puts the cigar in his mouth and lights it. He then takes a puff.
"1870s Texas." Ryker answered.
"Well things has changed since your time." said Rebecca.
"Yeah no kiddin." Ryker grumbled. "Takes all the fun out of being me." Todd returns with Rebecca's drink.
"We don't just go find our thug and beat them up for answers. We get the answers out of them by asking and sometimes bargaining." Rebecca said.
Ryker turns to face her. "Bargaining?" He repeated. "Do I look like a man who bargains? The day I bargain with anything is the day I hand in my guns. That man damn near ruined my life. He needs to suffer."
"Then let help you." Rebecca argued. "Let me help you do this but the right way." Ryker doesn't respond. As he's about to, they hear the door swing open and they see eight bikers walk in led by a large fair skinned bald man with a bushy beard.
"And it looks like duty calls." Ryker says before standing up to approach them. "Can I help you gentlemen with something?" The large biker stares down at the shorter man.
"We're here for some drinks." The biker replied. "Is that a problem?" Ryker stares back up at him.
"Depends what happens when get those drinks." Ryker responded. Behind him, Rebecca had an extendable police baton out and ready while the rest of the bikers prepared to jump in to assist their boss. The two men stared each other down as the gunslinger and biker waited to see who would act first.
On the streets of Royal Woods, Road Hazard drove the Road Rage through the city.
Are you sure this is a good idea?
"If I'm being honest, no it's probably not." Road Hazard responded. "But with us leaving and not know when we'll ever come back, this'll probably be the last time we see her for a while."
Very well, let's make this quick.
"We'll be back on the road soon buddy." Road Hazard replied.
We can't forget to say goodbye to the kids.
"I promise you that we won't forget to do that." Road Hazard promised as they pulled up to their destination. "The fact that there's a prison that has criminals more dangerous than the ones that were in Alcatraz is insane."
"It's full of Metahumans and monsters. Most of them went to kill us and the kids." Road Hazard said,
Road Hazard steps out of the Road Rage and walks towards the entrance of the prison.
You have mixed feelings about her don't you?
"I can't anything from you can I?" Road Hazard said with a chuckle. "I mean she's a supervillian, and a war criminal yet here I am visiting her in prison."
I guess bad girls are pretty hot, by human standards.
"Yes I'm here to make a visit." Road Hazard said to one of the guards.
"Very well." One of the guards responded. "Just step over here so we can check you over and make sure you got nothing dangerous on you."
"You got it." Road Hazard said. "I got nothing on me."
What about in you?
"Shut up." Road Hazard growled through gritted teeth.
"Anyways you seem all good to go." The guard says. "Go ahead." Road Hazard nods and steps inside where another guard is waiting for him.
"I'll take you to her." He says as they start walking.
"Is she still in the medical wing?" Road Hazard asked and the guard nodded.
"She'll be released tomorrow." The guard replied. "She was in pretty bad shape."
"She was in that battle with that cult." Road Hazard said.
"Last thing I heard they disbanded after their leader's head was bitten off." The guard stated.
Apparently she was also hurt badly by something else while fighting Amplifier." The guard explained. They arrive at the medical ward. "I'll be out here if you need anything." Road Hazard nods and steps inside. When he gets in there, he sees the medical ward only has one patient inside it. The patient looked up from her book and a small smirk appears on her face.
"Visiting me again Road Hazard?" She asks with amusement causing the former biker to roll his eyes.
"Don't read to much into it Mirage." Road Hazard says as he sits down next to her. "How's your throat?"
"It's all healed up. So how are you?" Mirage asked.
"Just came to say good bye." Road hazard said.
"So you're leaving now?" Mirage says not sounding surprised.
"Don't like staying in one place for too long." Road Hazard replied. "Decided to come visit you for a little bit." Mirage looks at him surprised before smirking.
"Well Road Hazard, you really know how to charm a girl." She says.
At the base, the L-Crew were cleaning up as they prepared for the arrival of the Make-a-Wish kid.
"Status report!?" Lori asked.
"Floor is swept and mopped." Lynn said,
"The base is dusked." Armor said.
"All weapons are put away in Soothsayer's room." Lincoln reported.
"All my chemicals are out of reach." Lisa says.
"Great." Lori comments. "I'm so nervous. We've never done something like this before."
"We're going to do fine sis." Luna said. "Besides we need this to mellow out from everything that has happened."
"Speaking of which, how are you doing after everything that's happened with Petty?" Lori asked. "I know you've said that your fine and all but how are you really?"
"Little nervous." Luna replied. "I thought about how people are not going to accept our apology after Petty's rampage."
"I get it but there's not much more we can do." Lori reminds her. "Unlike with the whole situation with Irate and Lincoln, we told everyone what happened and assured everyone that Petty isn't a threat. If they don't fully accept him then he'll just have to work harder to regain the city's trust again. Just like Lincoln did." She let's out a sigh. "Really wish we did a press conference after the whole Irate situation."
"We were too focus on fixing Lincoln." Luna sighed. "But we're not making the same mistake again."
"No. We're not." Lori agreed. "We can't make that mistake again. But we can worry about that later. For now we have another task to focus on."
"Yeah true." Luna said. "I need to get ready for our special guest."
"Leni! Are all the suits clean and fixed?" Lori asked.
"Just gotta finish Lana's and we'll be good!" Leni reported.
"Our guest will be any minute." Lori said as she ran and grabbed her super suit.
"God I'm so nervous." Surge says.
"Same." Genarocker agreed. "Like what do we say? What do we do? Did we feed Tongri?"
"I never met a sick kid before. Will he or she have hair?" Crystal Princess panicked. "I never met a bald kid before."
"Lola." Speed Queen says sternly. "Don't treat her any differently than any other kid you've met. And if they are bald, you will not say anything. Got it?" Crystal Princess nods. Speed Queen then crouches down and places a hand on her head. "I understand you're nervous but we we all are. Just make this kid feel welcome and greet them with a smile. Today is about helping them forget about their sickness for one day. You think you can do that?"
"I can do that." Crystal Princess said right before a car horn honked.
"That must be our guest of honour." Speed Queen said.
"Alright dudes, places!" Amplifier ordered before everyone ran outside.
The L-Crew all see a dark blue car where a woman stepped out of the car and walked towards the back door. "Ok everyone big smiles." Speed Queen stated.
The woman opens the backdoor and out steps a little girl no older than the twins wearing a purple skirt and had a pixiecut hairstyle. She also wore a shirt with a picture of Amplifier on it.
"Seems like we know who her favorite is." Ms. Appear whispered to Amplifier who just blushed.
"Hi, you must be from the make a wish foundation." Speed Queen said. "Welcome to our base." Speed Queen greeted.
The little girl immediately hid behind the woman.
"Hey it's ok." The woman soothed before turning back to Speed Queen. "I'm sorry. She's shy. I'm Courtney and this little one is my little girl Beth."
"Nice to meet you." Speed Queen says as she shook Courtney's hand. "It's fine. I have younger siblings that are around her age as well and they were shy too when they were younger. Anyways, thanks for coming to us rather than us coming to you. I know it's unconventional because normally we'd come to you but because of our status we'd draw unwanted attention to ourselves."
"Oh it's no problem." Courtney assures her. "The representative explained the whole situation to us and we were all for it." She looks at her daughter. "Honey, go say hi."
Beth looked up and sees Speed Queen. "Hi." Beth quietly greeted.
"Hi Beth. Would you like to meet the rest of the team?" Speed Queen asked.
"Yeah." Beth answered. Speed Queen smiles at her and holds out her hand which Beth grabs before Speed Queen escorts her to the rest of the team.
"Everyone this is Beth, she's our special guest." Speed Queen greeted.
"Hi." Everyone says in unison.
"Welcome to our base." Multiple Girl greeted. Amplifier then stepped up and crouched down to Beth's level.
"Sick shirt you got there." She compliments. "Also, nice hairstyle." Beth smiles and slowly approached Amplifier before immediately hugging her. "That's the stuff." Amplifier then stands up now holding Beth in her arms. "Want a tour of the base?" Beth nods. "Then let's rock."
"She really is Amplifier's favourite." Crystal Princess muttered as the L-Crew walked towards the base.
Once they were inside, Speed Queen turned to Courtney. "Aren't you gonna go join?" She asked.
"I will. Just taking it in." Courtney answered as she watch Amplifier show Beth the L-Monster. "As shy as she appears, she was extremely excited when she heard that she'd get to spend the day with all of you."
"My siblings know how to get anyone out of their shell." Speed Queen said. "But this is our first time doing a make a wish foundation."
"I figured that much." Courtney says. "But she really wanted you. She's just been so sick lately that I'm afraid that she might not get better." Speed Queen frowns.
"I can't imagine." Speed Queen said. "Hey, don't worry about it. It's best to try to enjoy the time you have with her rather than the time you lose." Courtney smiles at her and nods. "Good now come on, let's go join the others." The two head into the base and see everyone gathered near the training area with Wildgirl standing in the clearing.
"Ok Beth." Wildgirl was saying. "Name an animal and I'll become it!"
"An elephant would be nice." Beth said.
Wildgirl nodded as she morphed into an elephant and Beth was in amaze and shock. "Would you like a ride?" Wildgirl asked.
"Yes please." Beth answered. Wildgirl lowered herself a little but the little girl was unable to climb up naturally. Ms. Appear then steps up.
"Need a lift?" Ms. Appear asks and Beth nods.
Ms. Appear forms a platform for her and Beth and they float upwards. Then Ms. Appear picked up Beth and placed her on Wildgirl's back. "Have fun!" Ms. Appear said.
"Um, can you ride with me?" Beth asked. "I'm scared."
"Sure." Ms. Appear answered before joining her on Wildgirl's back.
Wildgirl began to walk around the training area slowly in a circle. Beth started to form a smile on her face, she even started giggling. "She's loving it." Wildgirl thought.
"Can you push that giant box?" Beth asked as she pointed at one of the metal crates.
"Easily." Wildgirl replied before letting out a trumpet.
Wildgirl walked up to the metal crate and pushed it with her tasks. "Nice work sis." Ms. Appear commented.
"What else can you do?" Beth asked excitedly. Wildgirl thinks about before her eyes turn towards the stream by the base giving her an idea. She lumbers over to the stream and sticks her trunk into it where she sucks up some water. She then started to lift her trunk to her back. Seeing what her sister was about to do, Ms. Appear puts up a forcefield right as Wildgirl sprays the water at them.
"Nice try Wildgirl." Ms. Appear said. "You have to get up pretty early to get me."
"Can't blame a pachyderm for trying." Wildgirl says with a chuckle while Beth giggles.
"That was fun!" Beth said while giggling. "Can you turn into a dinosaur?"
"You got it." said Wildgirl as she morphed into a T-Rex.
"This is dinomite!" Ms. Appear laughed.
Everyone groaned except Beth who giggled at the pun.
"Alright Beth." Speed Queen called up to her. "What do you want to do now?"
"I want to hang out with Firecracker." Beth said.
"Alright then." Firecracker says. "Bring her down Wildgirl!" Wildgirl nods and lowers herself to the ground so Beth can get off. "So what do you wanna do?"
"Can you make a fire art in the sky. Like what Human Torch did in that Fantastic Four poster?" Beth asked.
"Um, sadly I can't." Firecracker answered while scratching the back of his head.
"Oh ok." Beth replied in disappointment. "Do you have any other tricks?"
"Yeah!" Firecracker says. "Look at this." He holds his hands together and ignites his hands. Then with heavy concentration, he has his flames turn into different shapes which included birds, a dog face, and a hand all while Beth watched in awe.
"Did you know he could do that?" Amplifier whispered to Speed Queen.
"No clue." Speed Queen whispered back.
After a few more seconds, Firecracker stopped and took a deep breath.
"Wow. That wasn't easy." He says. "But I'm definitely getting better!"
"So cool!" Beth exclaimed.
"Glad you liked it." Firecracker tells her. As the two talked, Amplifier noticed someone watching from the base. She turned towards the entrance and saw Petty peeking around the corner watching everyone while Tongri sat next to him. Concerned, Amplifier walked over to him.
"What's up big guy?" She asked the rubber monster.
"Petty want to meet new friend." Petty tells her while tapping his fingers together. "But Petty worried he might scare her so Petty hide."
"Don't be dude. You can show her your true colors." said Amplifier. "So don't be afraid."
"But what if she doesn't like Petty?" Petty asks. Amplifier smiles at him and takes his hand.
"She will. You know why?" Amplifier asks and Petty shakes his head. "Because I like you. Come on." She gently starts pulling him towards everyone else as they were watching Black Ice create different ice statues.
"Can you make one of Bluey?" Beth asked.
"Sigh. I was hoping you would suggest some monsters." Black Ice sighed.
"Yo dudes. Look who decided to join us." Amplifier called out as she gently led Petty over. Everyone turns and Beth let's out a gasp.
"Petty!" She exclaimed before running over and hugging his leg catching the rubber monster by surprise. "Wow. You're so much bigger in person!"
"You're not scared of Petty?" Petty asked.
"I'm not afraid of you." Beth said. "You're a gentle giant."
"Petty gentle giant?" Petty asks. Beth nods and grabs his hand.
"Wanna play?" She asks. Petty nods and Beth pulls him to the side with Tongri not far behind. Amplifier smiled as she watched Petty play with the young girl.
"That's my boy." Amplifier whispered with a smile on her face.
At the Drunk Hermit, laughter could be heard coming from inside. Inside the bar, several bikers sat at tables with pitchers of beer in front of them on the table. At the counter, Ryker and Rebecca sat there alongside the leader of the bikers laughing as the leader told a story.
"So then I told this guy 'that ain't no man, that's my wife!'" The biker said causing the bar to break into laughter again.
"That's some good shit Bubbah." Ryker says in between laughs. "Glad we came to an understanding."
"Yeah sure is." One biker said.
"Yeah real funny." Rebecca laughed a bit.
Ryker pulls out a cigar and starts lightning it. He takes a puff before turning back to Bubbah.
"So what brings you around these parts?" Ryker asked.
"Me and my boys here are bounty hunters." Bubbah answered catching Ryker's attention. "Basically we track down fugitives who skipped bail."
"Tracking anyone in particular?" Rebecca asked. Bubbah shook his head.
"Not currently." He answered. "We're just passing through on our way to Wisconsin."
"Wisconsin?" Rebecca asked.
"Who are you hunting down?" Ryker asked.
"No one currently." Bubbah replied. "We actually just finished hunting down a drug dealer in Ohio. Now we're just going home."
"Y'all call Wisconsin home?" Ryker asked.
"Born and raised." Bubbah answered. "What about you two?"
"I'm a California girl." Rebecca replied. "Though my mom is originally from Texas." Ryker turns to her.
"Really now?" He says and Rebecca nods.
"My mom was born and raised in Texas when she was a little girl. But she moved to California to attend college where she was studying to be a vet. That's where she met my dad, they met at a party." Rebecca explained.
"Let me guess, your old man was trying to make it in Hollywood?" Bubbah asked with a chuckle while Ryker looked confused.
"He tried." Rebecca answered with a sigh. "Did a few commercials before retiring when mom joined the marines. After one of her tours, yours truly was born." Bubbah nodded in approval while Ryker still looked confused.
"What the hell is Hollywood?" Ryker asked.
"It's a place where movies are made. They did made westerns. Now it's just remakes and Superhero films." One biker said.
"Westerns?" Ryker repeated.
"Man how the hell do you not know what Hollywood is?" Another biker asked. "Let alone what Western movies are?"
"I've been busy clearing my name, learning about the future and all that crap." Ryker said as he drank his drink.
"You're also from the 1870s." Rebecca added. This got everyone's attention.
"Really now?" Bubbah says. "Now that sounds like a good ass story." Ryker sighs as he lights up a cigar.
"Ryker isn't my real name." Ryker started. "Once upon a time I was a farm boy working on the farm for my folks. Had a father, a mother, a brother and a sister. My brother fought in the Civil War for the north and was helping oversee the building of the railroad. Anyways, we had a farm hand named Big Bill or that's what he told us. Anyways, guy was as strong as an ox and my old man trusted him to handle a lot of the heavy lifting. He and my older sister were close. Really close. Can't say I was fan. Anyways, one day I was on my way back from town when I heard a loud gunshot. I road my horse full speed to the house and when I walked through the door I saw Bill standing over my father with an axe and my sister standing over my mother with my father's rifle in her hand."
"Your sister helped kill your parents?" Rebecca asked with Bubbah stared wide-eyed. The rest of the bar sat in silence listening to Ryker's tale. The cowboy took a drag of his cigar.
"I never ran out of that house faster in my entire life." Ryker continued. "I jumped on my horse and ran to town to sheriffs. Told him what happened. He took his deputies to the house and the coroner wasn't too far behind. Found out later that Bill was actually a murderer who had been wanted in ten counties for murder. He and my sister were long gone when they got there." He pauses. "I tried getting in contact with my brother up north, but I found out he died in a cave in. So I had no family left. It was only me and thirst for revenge. About a couple months later I met a bounty hunter named Sam Roland who offered to teach how to hunt him down the right way."
"So that's how you became a bounty hunter." Bubbah replied as Ryker nodded.
"Did you ever encountered your sister and Big Bill again?" Rebecca asked.
"I did. I found their wanted posters on a wall, so I decided to take matters into my own hands." said Ryker.
Flashback- 1875
Two men rode on horses into a town towards the sheriff's office. One was an older man in his fifties wearing cowboy garb. Alongside him was a younger man about eighteen years old. Once they arrive at the sheriff's office, the two hop off their horses.
"Alright Cletus, we've arrived to town." The older man says. "I'll go check the wanted posters. Why don't you go get some supplies."
"Alright if you say so Sam." Cletus replied. Cletus headed towards the stands selling different goods. As he walked past them, he heard a pair of familiar voices. One male and one female. He turned towards the source of the voices he sees a large fair skinned man in his mid-thirties wearing a plaid shirt and overalls. Next to him was a fair skinned woman wearing a short sleeved dress. As soon as he saw them a scowl formed on his face. "Bill and Mary. So this is where you ran off to. Time to deal with this once and for all." He lowers his hat slightly and slowly approached the stand. As he approached, the two saw but didn't seem to recognize him.
"Ah welcome my good sir." Bill greeted. "Take your pick from our large assortment of vegetables freshly harvested from the fields."
"My husband and I worked hard to grow these." Mary added. "I'm sure you and your family will love." Cletus decides to break his silence.
"My family is dead." Cletus says. "Both my parents were killed by people that they trusted. One of whom was their own daughter who shot her own mother in cold blood." Mary stiffened. "However, she expect one thing. Her brother would be hunting her and her partner, Bloodshot Bill." Cletus lifted his head and glared at Mary and Bill. "Hello Mary. It's been a long time sis. You two are coming with me." Before anyone can react, Cletus jumped over the stand counter and right onto Bill he proceeds to repeatedly punch him.
"We didn't had a choice. Bill and I wanted to start a new life together and we didn't have the money." Mary said.
"That gave no right to turn your back on family!" Cletus snapped as he got back up.
"Cletus please!" Mary begged. "Let's talk about this!" Cletus glares at her.
"Don't call me that!" Cletus shouted. "You don't deserve to say my name after what you did to ma and pa! You killed them because you were selfish!" While they were arguing, Bill got back up and tackled Cletus over the stand causing everyone around to scatter. The two men get back to their while glaring at each other.
"I'm gonna finish what I started five years ago." Bill growled as he pulled out a knife.
"We can both take him out at the same time." Sam said as he reached for his gun holster, Cletus nodded as he too reached for his gun holster.
"Cletus this is insanity!" Mary shouted as she watched the two bounty hunters face off with Bill. Sam realizing she's right turns to Cletus.
"Cletus, if we do this we do this right." Sam told him. "Remember what I taught you. Don't let your emotions cloud your judgment. We bring them in alive." Cletus hesitates before sighing and taking his hand off his gun before pulling out a knife.
"Make sure Mary doesn't run." Cletus told Sam. "Bill is mine." Sam nods and moves towards Mary as Cletus faced Bill. "You're coming with me you ugly bastard."
"The only place I'm going is your funeral." Bill says before charging at Cletus with his knife.
Cletus quickly pulls put his revolver and shoots Bill right in the chest. "Bill!" Mary cried out as she rushed towards Bill as he crumbled to the ground.
"That's the end of that." Cletus says. The sheriff and his deputies walk over. "They're all yours sheriff." The sheriff nods and he and his deputies start dragging Bill and Mary away while Mary cries out.
"Why Cletus? Why?" Mary cried. Cletus doesn't respond but looks away from her as Sam walks up.
"So, you finally got your revenge." Sam says. Cletus nods. "So what's next for you?" Cletus sighs.
"Not sure. Gonna see where the road takes me." Cletus answers. "Also, my name ain't Cletus no more. Cletus died the day Bill and mary killed my family." Sam then looks as him confused.
"So what should we call you then?" Sam asks. Cletus starts to walk away as he answers.
"Call me Ryker."

"So what happened to your sister?" Rebecca asked.
"She was taken by the sheriff and I never spoke or saw her again after that." Ryker replied.
"Damn that's a hell of a story." Rebecca says but then an annoyed look at Bubbah who was crying hysterically and blowing his nose.
"What a sad story." Bubbah cried with several other bikers acting the same way. Rebecca rolled her eyes before turning to Ryker.
"So, your real name is Cletus?" She asked teasingly.
"Shut up." Ryker grumbled.
"So, why do you visit me so often?" Mirage asked Road Hazard as she took a drink if her plastic cup. "You got a crush on me?" Road Hazard almost chokes after hearing the question.
"No." Road Hazard replied quickly.
Yes.
"Shut it!" Road Hazard growled.
What was that?" Mirage asked.
"It's nothing!" Road Hazard quickly replied. "But I just came to check up on you and say good bye."
"Keep telling yourself that." Mirage says with amusement in her voice. "So that thing inside you, do you feel him inside you?"
"No. I can barely feel him." said Road Hazard. "Just hear his voice in my head and controls me like his puppet."
"So you both share a body?" Mirage asked.
"Basically." Road Hazard replied. "He keeps me alive and I keep him alive. It's a symbiotic relationship."
"Well at least you're standing here. That's all I care about." Mirage said.
"Think you can keep a secret?" Road Hazard asked after some hesitancy. Mirage looks at him with intrigue.
"I was a spy/assassin once upon a time." Mirage replied. Road Hazard sighs.
"I have leukemia." He admits much to Mirage's surprise. "Found out the day I met Fury. Your the first I've told this." Mirage tilts her head in confusion.
"Have you been getting treatment?" She asks. Road Hazard shakes his head.
"Not in the normal sense." Road Hazard answered. "Fury actually keeps the leukemia from spreading. Eventually, I should be fine.
Gonna take a while.
"That's what I mean when I say he keep me alive." Road Hazard continued.
"So it keeps the cancer from spreading?" Mirage asked.
"Yeah. But Fury and I have our disagreements from time to time." said Road Hazard.
No we don't!
"Yes we do have disagreements from time to time." Road Hazard repeated. "But that's what makes us work."
"Just make sure you keep him safe aright." Mirage said.
Is she talking about me or you?
"I don't know." Road Hazard said.
"I'll let you two figure it out." Mirage says with a smile. "But first, something to remember me by." She grabs Road Hazard by his vest and pulls him down to where their lips connect. After a few seconds, they separated. "Promise to wait for me on the other side?" Road Hazard smirks.
"I'll try but last I checked, you have a life sentence." He says. "But yeah, I'll wait for ya." The guard opens the door.
"Visiting hours are over." The guard announces.
"It was nice seeing you again." Mirage said.
"Same to you." Road Hazard said as he's about to leave.
"Good bye Fury." Mirage says and a green tendril pops out and waves at her.
I'll miss this place.
"Same. Come on." Road Hazard said. "We got another stop to make."
Back at the bar, everyone was still drinking and laughing when they hear a door open. When he sees who walks in, Todd let's out a groan gaining Ryker's attention.
"You know those guys?" He asks. Todd sighs.
"Unfortunately." Todd replies. "They work for the Terror Crew. They've been trying to get me to give them money for 'protection'."
"The Terror crew?" Ryker said.
"Don't cause any more trouble Ryker." Todd warned.
"Hey old man." The lead thug says. "You got our money?" Todd scowls.
"I already told you." Todd growled. "I don't want or need your protection and I sure as hell ain't gonna pay for it." The lead thug formed a scowl of his own. "Besides, I already got security." The thug just scoffs.
"Oh yeah?" He says. "And what security would that be pops?" Ryker having heard enough turned around.
"That'd be me." Ryker tells him. "Howdy."
"Look fellas. It's sheriff Woody." The lead thug taunted as the rest of the thugs laughed.
"Where's Buzz Lightyear, Woody?" Another thug taunted,
However one of the other thugs stops laughing when he gets a better look at Ryker. "Yo hold up." He says. "Aye, that's the cowboy that was with the L-Crew at Tetherby Industries!" The rest of the thugs stop laughing and stare at Ryker wide eyed. The lead thug stares at Ryker before walking up to him.
"I remember you now." He growled. "You shot mi hermano during that raid." Ryker stands up and looks him in the eye.
"If you want, I can reunite you two." Ryker threatened. The two glare at each other when a new voice speaks up.
"Now now." A raspy voice says. "There no need that." Ryker looks over at the entrance of the bar where he sees a man wearing a blazer over a turtleneck. He wore slacks and dress shoes on his feet. On his hands he wore black leather gloves. But most noticeably on his head he wore a white skull mask. The man took a step forward and the thugs spread out to let him through until he was by the lead thug and Ryker.
"Skull I have this under control." The lead thug tells him with a hint of fear in his voice. The man now known as Skull steps up to the man and grabs him by his shirt.
"If you don't move, I'll make sure you join your brother." Skull says before releasing the thug who immediately joined the rest of his entourage. Once he was out of the way, Skull turned his attention to Ryker who glared at him with hate filled eyes. "So you're Ryker I assume."
"Yeah, I'm Ryker. You must be Skull." Ryker glared.
"That's right. I barely recognize you without your guns." Skull taunted.
Ryker smirks and pulls out one of his revolvers and aims it at Skull's head.
"Recognize me now?" Ryker growled. Skull scoffs and pulls out his own pistol out of his blazer which he then aimed at Ryker's head. "Give me one reason not to pull this trigger."
"Because you'll probably get arrested again." Skull responded. "Isn't that right madam?" Realizing he was talking to her, Rebecca stood up.
"If I'm being honest, I'm almost tempted to let him just shoot you." Rebecca tells him as she stood next to Ryker. She then leans into him. "If you pull the trigger, that'll cause a lot of problems. Plus there's like seven of them." Ryker scowls but doesn't remove his gun. Behind Skull, the rest of the Terror Crew thugs started approaching. As they got closer, Bubbah who was watching stood up and walked up next to Ryker and Rebecca.
"I suggest you boys back up." Bubbah threatened. "Now." The thugs just scoff.
"Or what?" One thug mocks. "You gonna do something about it big boy?"
"Yeah I might." Bubbah answered before snapping his fingers which caused the rest of the bikers to get out of their seats and surround the Terror Crew thugs. "Along with my friends here."
"You don't scare me." Skull scoffed. "You think you can all gang up on us and take us down? Think again."
"Says the man attempting to do the same thing." Ryker retorted. Rebecca then steps up.
"Skull was it?" Rebecca says. "Unless you want to get arrested, I suggest you leave the premise. Now."
"Not until my friends here get our money." Skull said.
"I'm not going to ask you again. Leave now or I will arrest you." Rebeca threatened,
"Todd is under my protection." Ryker growled. "This bar is under my protection. If you don't leave, I'll call some friends down here and I can assure you that you don't want to mess with them. So leave." Skull and the thugs glared at the gunslinger and his allies before Skull puts his gun away.
"Fine." Skull says. "We'll play it your way." He snaps his fingers and the thugs start walking out. As Skull starts to follow, he stops at the exit and turns to Ryker. "I'm glad you didn't go to prison Ryker because we get to play this game again." He then walks out the door leaving a seething Ryker. Seeing him still angry, Rebecca placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey. Calm down." She soothed. "You'll get your chance at him in the future ok? Just relax. Also, I'm proud of you for holding your composure for as long as you did."
"Thanks. But I have a feeling the next time we meet there's going to blood coming out of our mouths instead of words." Ryker said.
"But for now." Todd says bringing out more bottles. "As a thanks for dealing with that, next round is on the house!"
"Thanks Todd." Ryker said as he grabbed his drink and so did Rebecca.
"We're going to be seeing him again. But it won't be a few words." Rebecca warned,
"No. It'll be blood." Ryker scowls as he glares into his drink.
At the base, Beth squealed on delight as she and Amplifier rode on the back of Tongri as they raced Wildgirl who was a horse with Crystal Princess on her back around the Warehouse.
"Come on sis." Crystal Princess said.
Tongri managed to cross the finish line. "We won!" Beth cheered.
"Awe man." Wildgirl says as Crystal Princess climbs off. "Maybe I should've gone wildebeest."
"Or a cheetah." Crystal Princess said as Wildgirl morphs back into human. "Aren't those pretty fast?"
"Yeah but I don't think they can carry a six year old." Wildgirl pointed out.
"Good point." Crystal Princess says before joining the others.
"So what else do you want to do Beth?" Amplifier asked.
"Um." Beth says. "Can we take a picture?" Everyone looks at her with a smile.
"We thought you'd never ask." Speed Queen replied.
"Make sure you get my good side." Crystal Princess said.
"Should Petty be in the picture too?" Amplifier asked Beth.
"Yeah!" Beth answered excitedly as she ran off to drag Petty to the others.
"Petty in picture?" Petty asked.
"I think that's a good idea." Speed Queen agreed. "Everyone come together."
Multiple Girl forms a clone who takes the camera and get in position.
"Everyone get together!" The clone says as the L-Crew, Beth and Courtney gather together with Beth on Parkour's shoulder. "Say L-Crew!"
"L-Crew!" The L-Crew, Petty, Beth and Courtney all said right before the picture was taken.
"Perfect!" The clone says as she hands Courtney her phone.
"So what next?" Beth asked. Courtney puts a hand on her shoulder.
"Sorry honey but it's time to head home." Courtney tells her.
"Do we have?" Beth whined.
"We have to sweetie. The day is almost over." said Courtney.
"Ok." Beth says with a sigh.
"Good now what do you say to the L-Crew?" Courtney asks.
"Thank you L-Crew for spending the day with me." Beth said.
"We had a great time hanging out with you too Beth." Firecracker said.
"We're glad to make your wish come true." Speed Queen added.
"Take care little dudette." Amplifier says.
"We're rooting for you!" Parkour added.
"We're glad to make this day special for you!" Ms. Appear said.
"Thanks for making this day special." Beth says. They all go for a group hug before Courtney takes Beth to the car.
As the car drove away, the L-Crew all waved good bye. "You know, I kind of feel relieved that we did this." Crystal Princess said. "Almost like a huge weight was lifted over me."
"Same." Wildgirl says with a sigh with everyone nodding in agreement.
"I'm glad Mr. Cuddles talked us into it." Armor said. Then Soothsayer and Mr. Cuddles appear before them with bags.
"Alright kids we're back!" Mr. Cuddles announced. "We got Burpin' Burger!"
"Um, where have you two literally been all day?" Speed Queen asked.
"Had some lawyer business to take care of downtown." Mr. Cuddles explained. "Soothsayer came with me. Besides, this was more your thing."
"So who were you with?" Parkour asked.
"Some thug or meta human we threw in the Dungeon?" Surge asked.
"Camo." Mr. Cuddles replied. "Had to make sure he got that time taken off his sentence."
"I went out of boredom." Soothsayer added. "So how did everything go?"
"Pretty good. We showed her our powers, we introduced her to Petty and we took a group picture." said Speed Queen.
"Good to hear." Soothsayer says. "I take it you're glad you did it?" Speed Queen smiles and nods.
"Yeah." She answers. "I am." They then hear an engine roar and they turn to see the Road Rage drive in. Once it parks, Road Hazard climbs out and walks over.
"Speedy." Road Hazard greets. He turns to everyone else. "Kids."
"Road Hazard." Amplifier says. "I take it you're here to say goodbye dude?"
"That's right. It was a pleasure helping you kids with the Earthquake, the cult and all that other stuff." Road Hazard replied.
"Just keep in touch okay?" Speed Queen said.
"You got it kid." Road Hazard says. "Also Fury says goodbye." As if on cue, green tendrils pop out of Road Hazard's back and grabs everyone before pulling them all into a group hug.
"Didn't realize he was hugger." Surge grunts.
"Honestly, neither did I." Road Hazard admitted.
I'm the guilty one here.
"Alright Fury. Time to go." Road hazard said.
Just another minute.
"Fury we need to go." Road Hazard tells him.
Fine.
The tendrils then released the L-Crew. Road Hazard then heads to the Road Rage and climbs up. Before he gets inside he looks back at the L-Crew.
"Take care everyone." He says before climbing in. Road Rage then starts up and drives away with the L-Crew waving as it drove out of sight.
"It's always sad to see him leave." Crystal Princess said with a sigh.
"He'll be back Lola. We just don't know when he'll come back." Speed Queen said.
They then hear the sound of a motorcycle coming towards the base. The motorcycle pulls in and Ryker gets off once the bike comes to a stop. The gunslinger then approached them.
"I'm sorry." Ryker says surprising everyone. "I know I've been distant since y'all helped me not go to prison and I didn't properly thank you. On top of that I've been doing shit I was told I shouldn't do but did anyways."
"Ryker slow down." Speed Queen soothed. "It's fine. You went through a lot that day so we aren't holding it against you. Just let us help you do it the right way. Let us help you find out who framed you the right way." Ryker let's out a sigh.
"I appreciate it." He says. "However there's no need on the last part. Because I already found out who he is."
"You have?!" The L-Crew exclaimed.
"Who is it?" Speed Queen asked.
"His name is Skull." Ryker replied.
"Skull?" Armor repeated. "That's on the nose. Anything else?" Ryker sighed.
"Yeah. He works for the Terror Crew." He tells them. "The Terror Crew were behind the murder of Mercer."
In another galaxy, Mantiror sat on his throne on his ship surrounded by three silhouettes as well as the three silhouettes on the monitors. A soldier in ant armor runs and gets on his knees in front of the throne.
"Emperor, I have news." The soldier reported. Mantiror let's out a groan.
"This better have something to do with finding planet." Mantiror threatened. The soldier nodded.
"We did sire." The soldier assured. "It's a planet in the Milky Way Galaxy." Mantiror sat up in his throne in interest.
"What's the name of this pitiful planet?" Mantiror asked.
"Earth." The Soldier replied.
"Earth?" Mantiror questioned. "Sounds like a waste of a planet. Let's do the universe a favour and wipe it off the face of the universe."
"It will take some time to get there Emperor." The soldier told him.
"Then we leave immediately." Mantiror ordered. The soldier salutes and runs off. "Another planet of weaklings. Will no planet ever put up resistance?"
Smoke: Hey guys I hope you enjoyed the chapter. It was different from the usual fight the bad guy. But we wanted to do something different. And doing a Make a wish foundation chapter. We didn't want to copy off the 1994 Spider-Man series episode, especially the ending. But this was a good chapter to write. As for a certain user name Shadow Claw Reader. Well usually we don't do these things, but you're really starting to piss us off. Like Lori and Leni don't need wind powers. They had their powers Super Speed and duplication since day one. I know Super Speed can be used as a wind power but still. And also the kids are lying about their superhero personas to their parents to keep them safe. We already have it planned out when Lynn Sr and Rita will know the truth. But you're going to have to wait. And no we're gonna say how, I don't care if you beg. We're gonna have to be like Marvel Studios and keep it a secret. Plus we don't have a Tom Holland to spill the beans.
