"We don't want to stay with grandpa and grandpa." Lowen said.
"We want to go to the hospital and be with momma and Simon." Sage exclaimed.
"I understand and i know you do." "But the doctors are doing everything they can to help you're brother."
"And you are much better off here then being stuck at the hospital." Lucas said. Wanting to reassure his children.
"We'll stay but you have to promise us he's going to be okay." Lowen replied.
Lucas knew he shouldn't agree with that but he did and because of that they stayed with his parents without push back.
Lucas drove to family home and picked out new clothes for Brooke to wear then went back to the hospital.
He handed her the tucked away outfit as she went to bathroom to chnge.
Nathan. Mouth. Skills arived at the hospital to offer support.
Nathan explained Haley was staying home to make sure Taylor didnt leave town.
Brooke soon emerged from the bathroom.
Wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants. From her Clothes over Bros line.
"Mr. And Mrs Scott." A doctor said. Making his way out of the double doors.
"How is he" Brooke asked.
The words left his left at once.
"We almost lost him on the operating table.
"We don't know what the next couple of hours will be like."
"If you want to visit him. I suggest you do it but keep it brief." He explained.
"You go first." Lucas insisted.
Brooke followed the doctor's lead as Lucas quietly made his way outside.
There was camera flashes and news reporters.
And Lucas avoided all of it going out to his car.
What was consuming Lucas besides fear of what could happen. Was guilt. The choices he's made in his marriage. Which caused it to break down like it has.
Peyton. Taylor. Him never being able to be at peace and satisfied.
All his poor choices had resurfaced to bring forward Taylor's need for revenge.
His need to be wanted and validated had put at risk what made worth living at all.
If he stayed out here he could avoid what was happening.

Brooke leaned over kissing his forehead. And holding his hand.
She swallowed hard. Tears welling up in her eyes.
"Please don't leave me. I will get justice for you."
"I love you so much." Brooke said. Tears falling from her eyes.
