6:30 PM,
In the Namikaze estate,
"Hey Naruto, I have a great suggestion for an advisor for you," Jiraiya said.
"Who is it?" Asked Naruto.
"It's Tsunade. She could increase the quality of the medical ninjas by a huge margin and is also the grand daughter of the 1st Hokage, so she can give you more political leeway," Jiraiya answered.
"Well sure pervy sage, just send some chakra to the Hiraishin kunai I gave you if something bad happens. I will help you out with the negotiations if you need me for it," Naruto said.
"That's fine by me brat, I will leave tomorrow morning." Said Jiraiya.
"Sure pervy sage," Naruto answered.
Jiraiya just huffed.
"It's almost time for the meeting we are supposed to have with the Kaze family, I would have to get dressed" Naruto reminded.
"Tiger, get me Danzo here. Tell me it's for the meeting," Naruto Ordered.
"Jiraiya sensei, you should also get dressed better," Naruto said.
Both of them got ready for the upcoming meeting,
Danzo arrived there sharply at 7 PM.
"We should discuss on what matters we can talk about." Said Naruto.
"I say, if everything runs smoothly, and you get betrothed, you should reveal that you are the fifth Hokage. It's best if they know what's your situation. This can make sure that you will gain more through this. If you said you were the Hokage from the get go, they would try to lessen on what they would give you since their opposition doesn't like Konoha much. That was one of the reason why Iwa and Kumo thought Konoha was weak enough to attack during the 2nd shinobi war," Danzo said.
Naruto did know the reason why the second shinobi war started. The Hiku family became the ruling family which caused a huge ruckus. They thought that Konoha was just a waste of money, so they cut funding a bit by bit for 6 years. Some spies got to know this and relayed it to their leaders. Now that Konoha has weakened, they attack Konoha. So as to regain funding, Hiruzen has the Daimyo and his loyal supporters assassinated. This is how the Kaze family got to have their power back in the capital.
But ever since the Daimyo's death, the Hiku family's rage fostered even more against Konoha.
"Do you think its a wise choice to let them know of his status?" Asked Jiraiya.
"It is. It will let them continue with their political plans without them worrying every turn which mostly favors us," answered Danzo.
Jiraiya agreed to his point a bit reluctantly.
"They said they will arrive at 7 30 PM, I will escort them from the outside to here after the Anbu bring them to the gardens. " Naruto said.
"We most likely should also loan them some money, I will have to give them enough so that they can try getting people to their side and let them have a foot in the court again. This is going to be very expensive," Naruto sighed.
It quickly turned to 7 : 30 PM, and they discussed what they were going to negotiate there.
"I can sense them coming here," Naruto said.
Danzo and Jiraiya made their way to the Dining hall,
"Hello Kazuto san," Naruto greeted.
They all gave a slight bow to Naruto.
Naruto reciprocated by giving them a small bow as well.
"Come inside please," Naruto said invitingly.
All 5 of them made their way to the dining hall.
It wasn't as glamorous as it was in the Daimyo's palace, but it was up there.
"Please be seated," Said a maid.
Everyone sat down.
Naruto and Kazuto sat at the opposing ends.
Naruto's chair was a bit bigger to give whoever sits there a look to show they are the bigger person there.
"So how is it in the Capital?" Naruto asked a question directed to Ritsuko.
"huh?" was her intelligent reply.
"Umh, I mean, how was your life there previously?" Naruto asked again.
"It's great there. There are a lot of places to visit like..." She went on and on about how it was to live there with a lot of excitement.
"So how is it here in Konoha?" She asked back after she told about the Fire Capital.
"It's very pleasant here. The weather is the same as the Fire Capital's. There are a lot of places to visit as well. From many shopping districts to parks, everything one wants is here," He answered.
Naruto did admit to himself that he kind of liked her.
They all ate for 30 minutes, having small chats here and there.
After eating,
"What support do you require of me?" Naruto asked. Last time they spoke, they only spoke about what Naruto receives, not what Naruto gives in return.
"We need to secure funding," Kazuto answered.
Naruto's eyes squinted a bit.
"Don't worry, we will pay you back. After I become Daimyo, I will be able to pay you back quickly," Kazuto said without hesitation. But in truth, he was a bit hesitant. The amount he will be asking is a lot.
"Name it," Naruto said.
"Go on," Naruto said.
"I want a loan of 100 Billion Ryo, I need that amount to gain support from my father's supporters." Kazuto said.
"Hmm, I can see that you need more than that, so in turn you tell me what you are going to do and we will tell you if it's a good idea or not. If you refuse to do what I tell you to do, then I will withhold the funds," Naruto responded.
"But don't worry, I only require that this goes smoothly. I don't want a miscalculation from any side. You can also tell your input for us to see if it's better than what we came up with. We shouldn't do it hastily do we? After all, what we do will affect the Fire Nation as a whole" Naruto continued.
Kazuto has no one else to go to. He could secure a few billion from others, but it's not even close to what he could get from Naruto.
"Yes, I agree to your terms, how much are you planning on giving me?" Kazuto asked after agreeing to the terms.
"I will be willing to give you 140 Billion Ryo, and to make sure you pay me back, I want you to use the Shinzaku mines as collateral, I will be able to get it only when I marry Ritsuko according to the agreement, but if it fails, I won't be able to have my money back. So as insurance I want the mine as a collateral." Naruto stated.
'Well, I have gotten this far, I will have support not only from Naruto, but also a former advisor of the Hokage and a student of lord Third Hokage,' Kazuto thought.
"Yes, I accept," Kazuto relented.
"Well, this calls for celebration then. But I do recommend that you keep this contract in private until I tell you to reveal it," Naruto said.
"That's fine with me," Kazuto replied.
"Kazuto, Ritsuko and Takashi san, please follow me to my meeting room," Naruto said, leaving for his meeting room.
Jiraiya and Danzo followed them in as well.
Ayumu was just sitting there silently. He barely spoke anything. He has nightmares of his parents dying. His brain had been releasing his repressed memories of the invasion.
In the meeting room,
"Well I do have an announcement to tell you three, this concerns all of the Fire Nation," Naruto stated.
The three Kaze family members felt a bit scared of what he was going to say.
"You know that we are still selecting the Hokage, right?" Naruto asked.
"Yes, we do know. From by guesses it's between the Hyuuga clan head, Jiraiya sama, Tsunade Sama, and Kakashi Hatake," Kazuto answered
"Well, the selection of the fifth Hokage was done 2 days ago," Naruto replied.
"What! A fifth Hokage has already been chosen? Why haven't they announced it yet?" Questions rapidly came out of Kazuto
"I requested that the 5th Hokage's ascension stay a secret. We have to weed out spies and do some more work before we announce," Naruto answered.
"DO you know who the fifth Hokage is then?" Questioned Takashi, a bit incredulously.
"Of course I know of him! He is me!" Naruto replied
The Kaze family just blinked owlishly at him,
"He is, the brat is as strong as I am," Jiraiya said, shocking them out of their stupor.
"But... but he is 13!" Kazuto said.
"And? I fought a fully powered Bijuu and came out as the victor. Only 3 people other than me can say that. With 2 being the first and the fourth Hokage," Naruto shot back.
"Hiruzen was just 17 when he became the Hokage, Naruto possesses all the qualities required to be one. He is currently the strongest shinobi in Konoha. He can probably defeat any other Kage from other villages as well." Danzo said in his monotonous voice.
Kazuto wasn't able to handle the shock, he just sat down on the chair, very surprised.
"Please don't tell this information to anyone yet. Only select Anbu, us and the elders know of his status," Jiraiya said.
"Well, this is quite shocking." Kazuto finally said.
"That is true, most people look up to him after that stunt. People still don't know much of him so we got people spreading who he is and what he did," Danzo stated.
"Without him, there would be more damage to Konoha," Jiraiya said.
"Well, from what I can see, the village is running well. Then why fund the village soo much?" Kazuto questioned.
"The Fire capital has only given 11 Billion Ryo for funding. Until you ascend the throne, there won't be much funding to the village," Naruto replied.
'So he revealed the fact that he is the Hokage now rather than before is so that we won't know he was cornered which let us give him more than what we would, but revealing his status now would ensure that things would run smoothly as long as something drastic doesn't take place," Kazuto thought.
"You know how the Hiku family is trying to raise nobility against Konoha right? How are we going to stop them?" Asked Takashi.
"Hmm, I will have to send some spies to the capital to find out what they are up to," Naruto answered.
"Well, on the topic of the alliance, I propose that they get married once they are 16, we need to have an heir as soon as possible since we don't want any complications when there is no heir to succeed the Namikaze Uzumaki name," Danzo stated.
All the older people agreed while Naruto and Ritsuko just blushed.
"Well, we can speak about the finer details tomorrow," Said Jiraiya.
"Now it's time to celebrate!" Jiraiya shouted.
They made their way out of the meeting room,
Jiraiya, Takashi and Danzo had some Sake, whilst Kazuto, Naruto, Ayumu and Ritsuko spoke about random topics.
In Yakiniku,
"I heard The Late Daimyo's family came here. From what I got to know, the Hyuuga clan and the Daimyo's family were going to have a marriage alliance," Ino said.
"So who is getting married?" Asked Sakura.
"Well, it's most likely Hinata. Fire Daimyo's son is about the same age as us," Ino replied.
"What! No way she is going to marry some spoiled brat!" Kiba said, getting a bit jealous.
"Hey, chill out Kiba. It's just a rumor. But even if it's true, it might not happen since the Fire Daimyo had died during the invasion. There are a lot of issues happening in the Capital," Ino retorted.
"I have seen the Late Daimyo's daughter walking around the ninja district. She is very pretty!" Said Tenten.
"Oh really?" Asked a curious Kiba.
Sakura, Ino, and Tenten's eyes just twitched.
"I thought you liked Hinata," Ino said.
"Oh I do, but I am open to having options," Said Kiba a bit perversely.
All the three girls Bonked his head very hard, giving him 3 huge bumps on top of his head.
"You 4 are so troublesome, I am trying to have a nap here..." Shikamaru said sleepily.
"Hey Shikamaru, you know that they delayed the promotions for some reason," Ino said.
"I heard it from my father, there was some issue the council had to deal with so they weren't able to handout the promotions today," Shikamaru replied.
*num* *num* *num*, Choji went on eating till his heart's content,
"So who do you guys think will be promoted?" Ino asked
"Naruto might be promoted, he has shown exceptional skills and has single handedly defeated a Bijuu," Shino said.
"Hinata might be promoted as well, she won against you didn't she," Said Kiba to Shino
"All the participants from our village did well, I won't be shocked if all of us get promoted," Sakura said.
"How will you all be promoted? Didn't you three like to lose your match?" Asked Kiba sarcastically.
Sakura got furious.
"IF YOU WERE LISTENING! THEN YOU WOULD KNOW THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO WIN TO GET PROMOTED!" Sakura shouted at Kiba. She didn't like the way Kiba smugly spoke towards them.
"You don't get to talk Kiba, you lost against Naruto in the prelims itself, remember?" Ino said.
"Why you!" Kiba was about to pounce on Ino, but Shikamaru's shadow possession technique caught him.
"Please calm down will you. We are here to just hang out like we used to in the academy, not fight like street cats," Shikamaru retorted.
Kiba calmed down and Shikamaru released his jutsu.
"These 3 days have been exhausting, so many D ranked missions, and that too with minimal pay," Ino complained.
"We can't do anything about it. Konoha received only 11 Billion Ryo for reconstruction efforts," Shikamaru said.
"Only 11 billion? How can you say Only and 11 billion Ryo in the same sentence!" Kiba shouted.
"Kiba, the village needs that amount about every month to just run normally! But that we have been attacked, we need more. So of course they will cut spending where they can!" Sakura said.
"But, they used to give us around 200 Ryo per mission! Now it's just 150 Ryo!" Kiba said.
"Well, there are too many missions, and so as to get the reconstruction done faster without the client losing too much, they have given out discounts," Shikamaru said.
"Yea, we also did even more missions than we used to. We used to take about 3 missions a day before the chunin exams, now we are taking about 5 or even 6 missions," Sakura said.
"So you are saying that we are making more now?" Ino asked.
"Kind of, I mean we get less for what we do, but we do a lot of it. Not to mention the taxes they placed on us is higher now. Konoha usually runs in profit, but we take funding from the Daimyo so that Konoha can fund more into its special projects which could further increase the strength of its ninjas. That's the only fault our village has, if we had invested in it, we wouldn't need to depend on the fire capital when things turn South, like now," Sakura lectured.
"Sakura san is correct, and most of those such projects failed. Leading to billions of Ryo lost," Shino gave his input.
"I hope the next Hokage does something about it, the Konoha elders took a lot of loans to keep the village running," Shikamaru said.
"Why did the Fire capital give so little money anyway?" Asked Kiba.
"It's simple. The capital... you can say they are divided into 3 Factions if you want to narrow it down. One supports Konoha, one is neutral about it, and the other hates Konoha," Shikamaru said.
"Currently only the Daimyo's family supports Konoha, and they are here to gain support from the village. Last time the anti Konoha nobles got power, the second shinobi war started," Shikamaru stated.
"The Daimyo's family could try gaining support from a shinobi clan, which could help them give stand in shinobi matters and help them gain stability to become the Daimyo," Sakura said.
Kiba just drooled at the prospect of him marrying both Hinata and the Late Daimyo's daughter.
Everyone just looked at Kiba weirdly.
The August 10th,
In the Namikaze compound,
'well, it's time to get my promotion,' Naruto thought getting himself dressed,
'Jiraiya must have left already left, I am not able to sense him' he thought
In the Hokage office after a few hours,
The Kaze family were also present during the event since the heir was a symbol of hope to the council for stability,
Teams 7, 8, 9 and Team Gai were all assembled there.
Kiba was simply torn between trying to ogle both Ritsuko and Hinata, whilst Naruto and Kurenei was busy glaring at Kiba for doing that
"Shikamaru, Sasuke, Shino, and Sakura, please step forward," Danzo announced.
Koharu and Homura gave them their chunin jackets.
"Thank You!" They all said while receiving their jackets.
"Rock Lee, please step forward," Danzo stated.
"We felt that you deserved a promotion, but to actually become chunin, you would require to complete a few missions which you must succeed. We will mark you based on your performance as well," Koharu stated while giving him a chunin jacket with the marking for special. Gai gave him a huge thumbs up which Lee reciprocated.
"And For Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, you did excellent work defending our country! You fought the one tailed beast on a one on one and came out as the victor! And for that we give you the rank of Jonin," Danzo said, a bit proud of Naruto's accomplishments.
Everyone there except for the councilors, Naruto and Hinata were shocked. Naruto was bumped straight to jonin.
Kiba was jealous at Naruto's promotion, whilst others couldn't believe it.
Naruto gave a charming smile towards Ritsuko's direction, Ritsuko just blushed. Kiba didn't like the way those two interacted.
"Well, I guess you didn't beat me to the rank of jonin Naruto, I became jonin when I was 12," Kakashi jokes.
"Oh come on sensei!" Naruto replied.
"Congrats to the ones who got promoted. The ones who didn't should improve certain aspects of their skills which they lack and should also have a mentality that of chunin for getting promoted," Danzo said.
Some spoke and congratulated the ones who got promoted.
Naruto and Sasuke excused themselves and left, with the Kaze family following shortly.
"Congrats Sasuke," Naruto said.
"Congrats for being promoted to Jonin Naruto," Sasuke congratulated Naruto
"Congratulations Naruto," Ritsuko said blushing a bit,
Naruto also had some redness in his cheeks,
"Ah, thanks Ritsuko chan," He replied.
"We will meet you later, Naruto," Said Kazuto.
Kiba, who made his way out, just scowled further at their interaction.
The Kaze family left quickly.
"You already have a girlfriend?" Questioned Sasuke, a bit softly so as to not drag attention towards them.
Before Kiba could go to them, Naruto used the Hiraishin and went to his private training grounds,
"Yes Sasuke, you can say she is. But it's more like getting betrothed to her though," Naruto answered Sasuke.
"You just revealed your heritage 4 days ago, now you are getting married?" Asked Sasuke a bit incredulously.
"Yea yea, but it's quite important. Not many people know, but their enemies in the court want Konoha to be dissolved at it's entirety. So I am helping Kazuto solidify into the post of the Fire Daimyo," Naruto answered.
"hn," Was Sasuke's reply.
"I want to train, I have healed enough," Sasuke said.
"Fine, I can sense you have enough chakra to use this jutsu for training," Naruto replied.
Naruto went on teaching the shadow clone to Sasuke and taught him it's uses.
2 weeks later,
"ahhhh! Why did I get this job!" A blonde shouted.
"Well, it was your dream, wasn't it? " asked Jiraiya.
"Oh you are back! Did you bring Tsunade as well?" asked Naruto.
"Yes I did! although, she does think that she has been chosen as the fifth Hokage," Jiraiya said, chuckling a bit.
"Haha," Naruto chuckled.
"I will be going to the tower Naruto, you will be dressed for the occasion," Jiraiya said.
Jiraiya body flickered to the Hokage tower,
Naruto got dressed and made his way to the tower.
"Hey Naruto!" Kiba shouted.
"Oh, hey Kiba. Do you need something?" Naruto asked.
"Fight me, now!" Kiba exclaimed.
"Ah, sorry Kiba. I have a meeting to go to," Naruto replied.
"You are just a coward aren't you! You won against the beast by sheer luck! You are just cowering away from me!" Kiba said.
Naruto was now a bit annoyed with Kiba's behavior.
Whenever Konoha teams meet, Kiba just acts so smug.
Naruto released his Killing Intent to shut up Kiba. It worked perfectly.
"Know your place mutt, I am your superior, so you can't go saying that in my face. I will get you reported if you go on like this," Naruto said.
Naruto left in a yellow flash after that. Kiba was about to pee himself from the killing intent.
'How is he so strong! He is the same age as I am and he is already a jonin! Is this the perks of being a son of a Kage?' Kiba thought bitterly.
In the Hokage tower,
"Yo" Naruto greeted from the window.
"I told you to come through the door many times, didn't I?" Asked Danzo.
"Yea, you did gramps," Naruto replied.
Tsunade was shocked. Here is a brat, called Danzo gramps.
"Get in quickly, we have to seal up the office," Danzo said.
Naruto got in quickly, and Jiraiya sealed the office.
"Tsunade would you like to..." Koharu was saying when she got cut off,
"Yea yea, I will become The Hokage," Tsunade said.
Shizune was happy that her sensei finally came back to the village and became Hokage.
"Tch. Who told you that you were selected to be the fifth Hokage?" Danzo said.
"Uh, that's why I am here aren't I?" Asked Tsunade.
"No, you are here to advise the Fifth Hokage," Jiraiya said.
"WHAT! Couldn't you have said that before? Oh wait... Don't tell me you are the fifth Hokage Jiraiya!" Tsunade said.
"HAHAHA, No Tsunade Hime, that brat over there is," Jiraiya said.
"What? You made a kid the Hokage?!" Tsunade exclaimed.
"I have been trained for this position since I was 3... I also have good credits to back it up. during the invasion, I defeated Shukaku in a one on one," Naruto said.
Tsunade's and Shizune's eyes widened. The fact that no one was calling out that what he said was a lie only made sure that what he said was true.
"Well Tsunade, I want you to start running the Konoha hospital once again. It would be great if you would teach them. We might have the best medics, but we want even better ones if we have to show we are still the strongest in the village," Naruto replied.
"Oh, I forgot to mention this," Jiraiya said.
"You know how Minato got access to the Hiraishin?" Asked Jiraiya to Naruto.
"No, I don't," Naruto answered.
"Well, to put it simply, you're the great grandson of the second Hokage. That's how Minato was able to access into more of the secret jutsus of both Uzumaki and Senjus," Jiraiya said.
"Wait! He is my nephew then?" Asked a shocked Tsunade.
"Yea he is, we weren't able to to reveal his heritage till he was strong enough to take on his enemies. I informed this to you both now since Naruto is strong enough to handle him self and the fact that you are here as well to help him. But don't reveal this fact yet, this might cause another issue in the capital," Jiraiya said.
"Oh yea, Tsuna... um I mean aunt, I am currently allied with the Kaze family. I am betrothed to the late Daimyo's daughter to help them, but it hasn't been revealed to anyone yet so as to not gain traction to them," Naruto said.
"WHAT! YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED ALREADY!?" Tsunade said.
"JIRAIYA! YOU GOT MY NEPHEW MARRIED AT THE AGE OF 13!" Tsunade was about to beat the shit out of Jiraiya, but Naruto stopped her from doing that.
"Aunt, stop! I was the one who accepted. Konoha's funding will get slashed heavily if the opposition becomes the Daimyo. Those bastards already caused an international conflict, this was the most peaceful solution for this issue," Naruto said, calming Tsunade a bit.
"I need to train more, I will be assigning paperwork to you 2," Naruto said pointing at Danzo and Tsunade.
"All missions and ninja related reports go to Danzo and Civilian matters go to Tsunade. I will be there only for the most important reports which require my attention. I will give you both one shadow clone each for it," Naruto said.
"What will you be training on?" Tsunade questioned.
"I will be training on my Taijutsu, whilst I will use 10 shadow clones for ninjutsu practice and 2 shadow clones in sage mode training," Naruto replied.
Naruto left in a yellow flash, surprising both Shizune and Tsunade.
In the training grounds,
"Yo Kakashi sensei, I will be training with you 2 for a few days. we will not be going to do any missions, instead we will be getting stronger." Naruto said, appearing in a yellow flash.
"Oh, you got permission for it?" Kakashi asked.
"Yes I did," Naruto responded.
"I have a new way to strengthen our muscles. Sasuke, Kakashi, use your sharingan to copy what I am doing," Naruto said,
Naruto went through a few hand seals and released chakra in his body.
"That jutsu you did, it will heal up any muscle tear or small bone fractures," Sasuke said.
"Yes, it is supposed to do that. We will double your weights and run this healing chakra through our body. This will help our body adjust to the weight and makes us stronger in a faster time frame. This will also help us out with chakra control," Naruto said.
"Hmm, that's an interesting jutsu you made, it's a jutsu you made from deriving the principles of the healing palm. Instead of healing using your hands, you directly convert some of your chakra to healing chakra and send it through your body, healing any injuries. Am I correct?" Kakashi asked.
"You are spot on sensei! This is how I got as fast as I am." Naruto responded.
"But the healing capability for you guys is lower than mine, since my tenant also heals me very quickly in addition to the healing chakra." Naruto said.
"Hmm, we both have our advantages, you have your tenant and huge Uzumaki reserves and I have the sharingan," Sasuke said smirking.
"Well let's get training then, shall we?" Kakashi said.
They doubled their chakra weights and did all kinds of physical exercises for many days straight.
They ran around the village multiple times, they fought each other ( With Kakashi and Naruto handicapped during spars ), and so on.
Naruto and Sasuke mainly trained their bodies. From Naruto having his weights' weight level from 10 to 11 in just 4 days whilst Sasuke went from being level 5 to 7, and Kakashi from being 8 to 9. Kakashi is about as fast as Gai is and Sasuke is nearly up there as well. Usually, it would take someone months to jump from rank 8 to 9, but with this training method, they made huge leaps and bounds.
"Well, this was very productive," Naruto said.
"Yea, but it's still nearly impossible for me to move with this much weight," Sasuke said.
"Yea..." Kakashi said with a bit of difficulty.
"Come on! just one more day with this, and we will get used to this weight!" Naruto said tiredly.
Everyone's stomach growled with hunger.
"Let's get some lunch first," Kakashi said, hungrily.
"I agree with sensei," Sasuke said.
"yea..." Naruto said.
They all made their way to Ichiraku with the Help of Naruto's Hiraishin.
Sakura also joined them through sheer coincidence.
"Well sensei, you should pay for us. You haven't treated us to lunch yet even after us all getting promoted," Sakura said a bit happily.
Kakashi just sighed,
"Fine, I will pay for today's lunch," Kakashi relented. He knew Sasuke and Naruto would eat a lot, so he was preparing himself for his loss of money.
Naruto and Sasuke competed with each other to see who could eat the most. Sasuke ate 23 bowls but Naruto upped him by eating 40 bowls.
Kakashi ate 20 and Sakura ate 4 bowls. The amount of energy they consumed for their morning training was simply too much.
"Hey Sakura, I got something I want to teach you. You can speed up your taijutsu training multiple times!" Naruto said.
"Oh, how can I do that?" Sakura asked.
"Come to the training ground with us. I will show you," Naruto said.
Naruto showed her the jutsu and taught her how she can use it.
"Well, that's it with our training then, We have to take up missions I guess," Naruto said.
"Yea, I will have to take up some missions for the village," Kakashi said lazily.
"I have a lot of work in the Konoha hospital, I will have to go there now," Sakura said.
