"Drop me off here." Anneliese said to the driver, pointing at Gull Park, which was across the street from Audubon.
The driver parked his taxi, allowing her and Serafina to get out.
"Next time you need a ride, bring some money with youse." he said, then drove away.
"Come here, Serafina." Anneliese said, picking up her cat as she crossed the street to Audubon, where a standing guard called. "Who goes there?"
"Princess Anneliese!"
The guard stifled a laugh as he said. "Yeah. If you're the Princess, I'm the King."
"But, I am the Princess." said Anneliese.
"Oh, really?" the guard said back, raising an eyebrow. "Then how come I just saw the Princess eating dinner with the Queen?"
"What princess?" asked Anneliese.
"Now, move it along before I lost my temper." the guard said, shooing his hand at Anneliese, who stated. "You're making a mistake. I'm Princess Anneliese! And I'm telling you to let me through!"
"Well, I'm telling you...BE ON YOUR WAY!" the guard bellowed angrily, pointing his spear at Anneliese, who had no choice but to leave Audubon.
"Here you go, girls." Pearl said as she filled up the cows' trough with fresh hay, then turned to the other farm animals. "Now, dig in, rest up, and I'll see y'all tomorrow."
As Pearl started to leave, she noticed what Maggie had on her head, asking. "New hat, Maggie?"
Maggie looked at the detective's hat on her head, then at Pearl, who smiled as she said. "Looks good on you."
Maggie smiled back as she watched Pearl go, then said, with her mouth full of hay. "I knew she'd like it."
"Peh, no surprise about that." said Mrs. Caloway.
While she and Grace ate their share of the hay, Maggie went through hers quick, letting out a big belch. "Ah, that was good!"
"And fast." added Grace.
"Take it to go, girls." Maggie said as she opened the pen. "We don't wanna keep Nathan waiting."
"Wait, where are you three going?" asked Ollie.
"We're on the Case of the Missing Princess."
"Grace!" hissed Mrs. Caloway.
"Ixnay on the info-may about the incess-pray." Maggie added through her clenched teeth.
"Hey, it doesn't hurt to ask." said Grace.
"Well, you girls have fun, now." said Lucky Jack. "We'll take care of things here, won't we, piglets?"
The piggies looked at each other, then at Lucky Jack.
"KILL THE WABBIT!" one of them shouted, holding a stick like it was a rifle, pretending to shoot at Lucky Jack, who protested. "Wait, dagnabbit!"
While watching the piggies chase after him, Maggie rolled her eyes, then sniffed the ground as she, Mrs. Caloway and Grace went from the pen to the open gate, saying. "Either I'm getting good at this, or his scent is getting stronger."
"Part detective, part bloodhound. Now, I certainly have seen everything." Mrs. Caloway said as she and Grace followed Maggie outside of Bowditch, unaware that Anneliese was watching them go.
