Sneaking in wasn't the hard part. It was seeing her like this that tore Amity apart.
Gus and Willow told Amity that her being there wouldn't have changed anything. She didn't believe them.
As the moon glowed and the stone moved, Amity found herself in an embrace. It was so cold, but it was enough.
They promised her they would make a portal. That they would tell her mom what happened. It was the least they could do after failing her.
As the sun rose, Amity had barely managed to say "I love you," before the stone hardened for good.
