When America woke up and got out of bed, she was surprised to find herself falling into a waterslide that took her all around the apartment. She stopped when she fell in a pool in the living room. Once she finally rested, she took a minute to look around and notice Star standing outside of the pool in her swimsuit.

"Star, was this you?" America asked.

"Awesome, right?" Star asked. "Walking is so boring."

"Well, this was certainly surprising," America said getting out of the pool, "But it seems like you keep coming up with a big thing to fit in our tiny apartment making it even smaller. Remember that tower you spontaneously conjured up out the side of the apartment? You're lucky Stan let us off the hook for that."

"Sorry, Ames," Star said, "It's just that I never get to make big changes like this back on Mewni. If my parents found out I've been using magic for stuff like this…"

"Hey, it's cool." America said. "But, you know, you could at least give me a heads up." She lifted her foot showing a pair of wet socks. "Wet socks are a form of torture in some countries."

Just then, the front door opened showing Stan just outside. He looked around and smiled.

"Magical water slide. Not bad." Stan said smiling. "Anyway, Ms. Butterfly, there's someone who wants to see you. He says he's your father."

"DAD?!" Star cried out. "Uh, okay. You let him up while I hide everything!"

Stan shrugged and closed the door. He then headed downstairs where King River waited for him. "She's just up the stairs, your majesty. Behind door 3A."

"Thank you, Mr. Lee." King River said before heading up. Following behind him was a servant carrying a load of luggage.

When River made it to the room, he knocked on it before Star answered the door. She gave her a welcome smile hoping she hid everything just in time.

"Dad! What a pleasant surprise! What brings you here unexpectedly?"

"Well, I was in the neighborhood and…" River then let out a sigh. "Who am I kidding? Your mother has banished me from the castle?"

"What did you do?" Star asked judgingly.

"Nothing. I just left a garment or two laying around. I thought perhaps I could stay here for a day while this blows over. Your lord of lands, Stan, said it was all right."

"Well, if it's just for a day, then all right." America said.

"Ah, good show." River said. He then felt something ruffle around in his beard. At that moment, he saw that it was one of Star's magically-conjured puppies. "Oh. Hello…"

All of a sudden, River's greeting was interrupted by the red lasers that came out of the puppy's eyes and hit him in the face. The lasers also caused his beard to burn into a black mess.

"You forgot about the laser puppies again, didn't you?" America asked Star.

"Oh, boy." Star said nervously. "Um, Dad, that's okay, right?"

"Star, if your mother was here and knew you were using your wand inappropriately, she would send you straight to St. Olga's." River said. "But I'm not your mother! I rather enjoy destructive magical puppies!"

"You do?" America asked.

"I hoped so!" Star said. "Believe it or not, Ames, I get my rowdy spirit from my dad. He always liked to fight monsters too just like I do. This visit is actually gonna be a lot of fun! Father-daughter day!"

"Father-daughter day!" River repeated.

"Tour time!" Star declared. She then grabbed River's arm and quickly guided him around the apartment.

"You guys go on ahead while I change socks." America said before returning to her room.

After changing her socks in her room, America returned to Star and River, who just ran out of the bathroom with the most fun cheers.

"Sorry I missed a bit." America said. "What's been going on?"

"Oh, Ms. America, your abode is quite magical!" River cheered. "I had the most fun time exercising the art of 'flushing' on everything in your royal throne room."

"Throne room? Flushing?" America asked before noticing the water reaching out of the bathroom. She looked in and saw the overflowing toilet creating a large puddle all over the floor. She then groaned and turned to the others. "What did you flush down there?"

"Yes." Star answered. "Hey, I'm taking my dad out for a game of minigolf. Wanna come?"

"As long as you promise not to ruin their plumbing too." America said.

America went with Star and her father all the way to the minigolf course where they headed straight to the first hole, a curved piece of land that circles a pond with a statue of a happy frog with a jester hat.

"So have you ever played minigolf before, your majesty?" America asked.

"Played it? HA! This is the first I've ever heard of it." River answered.

"Oh, it's super easy." Star said. She picked up a golf ball and set it on the grass for her dad. "The goal is to knock this tiny moon into that hole."

"What fun!" River cackled. He held his golf club backwards ready to swing it.

"Uh, Dad," Star said, "You're holding your club upside-down."

"This is a club?" River asked dropping the golf club. "There's one thing we got better on Mewni."

River then pulled out a much larger club that was shaped like a spiked bulls-head. With it, he struck the golf ball so hard, it hit the frog statue and knocked it over.

"How's that for a getting it into the hole?" River laughed.

"Aye, caramba." America proclaimed. "Your highness, you just broke public property!"

"She's kinda right, Dad." Star said starting to sound uneasy. "Maybe next time, you should just…"

River's loud gasp interrupted her. "What's that?" He pointed at the next hole course, which looked like a candy-made castle.

"That's the Candy Castle, the next hole." Star said.

"Lord Salivary of the Weebler elf clan." River said angrily. "You sly dog!" With a mighty battle roar, he charged ahead to the castle and smashes it with his bludgeoning club getting the attention of all the civilians.

"Dad!" Star shouted running to her father along with America.

"I'll teach you to give my wife the googly eye!" River declared pulling out a torch from a tiki-themed hole and throwing it. Thankfully, America caught it before it hit the broken remains of the Candy Castle.

"Star, we gotta go! Vamos!" America yelled.

"Sounds like a plan! Come along, Dad!" Star said pushing River out of the golf course.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Star's loud scream woke America immediately up from her bed. She reacted swiftly by flying out of her covers and heading up to Star's room. Once she made it, she found her friend standing beside her bed wiping her hands on her pajamas.

"Star, what happened?!" America asked before taking a whiff into the air. "And why does it smell like grease and sweat around here?"

"I was asleep! Tucking myself in what I thought was my blanket! But turns out, it was my dad's underwear!"

America looked around and saw piles of dirty laundry stacked up all over Star's room. "How does your dad have that much used clothes? He's been here for only twelve hours! Wait, where is your dad?"

The girls looked around and heard the sound of grunting in the distance. They followed it to one of the laundry piles and entered it. The inside of it was hollow, and they were joining a bunch of living bean bag chairs, fluffy cloud creatures, a teddy wearing an eyepatch, a little gnome wizard, and many other living conjurations created by Star. They were all excitedly watching River grappling with an angry clown.

"Dad, what are you doing?" Star asked.

"Hello, dear." River said struggling to wrestle with the clown.

"It's the middle of the night." Star groaned.

"Ah, the perfect time for a tussle." River said. "Isn't that right, clowney?"

"The name is Kevin, old man!" the clown shouted back before River threw him back.

"Give it up, clown!"

"Bring the pain!"

The two continued to wrestle while Star and America kept watching. It was clear that neither of them could get any sleep for the rest of the night.

America yawned while Star prepared a bowl of cereal for her and a plate of pancakes for herself. "So… Your dad… He, uh…"

"You can say it. He's insane." Star said. "He thinks he can come down to Earth and do whatever he wants! He is SO inconsiderate!"

"And now, you know how I feel." America said.

"What do you mean?" Star asked.

America sighed. "I wasn't going to say anything, but the way your dad's acting, it's kinda like how you act sometimes. You know, with the reckless actions and disregard of how they affect other people, especially me. I like all the fun stuff you do, but a little head's up would be nice. Like the water slide thing yesterday."

"I thought you thought it was awesome." Star said.

"I do, but if you had told me, I would have avoided soggy socks." America said. "And trust me, they can get very uncomfortable. I just wanted to return to my room and change socks."

Star frowned a bit. "Sorry, Ames. I guess that's one more thing my dad and I have in common. Well, I'm just glad he's leaving today. I don't know how much more of this I can take."

In a sudden instant, River showed up again. He was swinging outside with a long chord of Christmas lights until he hit the window startling his daughter.

"Hello, Star." River greeted before opening the window and getting in.

"Dad, what are you doing?" Star asked.

"With my Christmas lights?" America added.

"Oh, these?" River asked looking at the lights. "I'm hanging them for the party."

"What party?" Star asked.

River smacked himself on the head. "Oh, jeez! I forgot to tell you. I'm having such a great time here, I've decided to stay. Isn't that great?"

America's gasped in shock before looking over at Star, who looked absolutely horrified.

"Oh, and in celebration of moving here," River continued, "I've invited some friends to check out my new digs."

"YOUR new digs?" America asked aggressively. "No! I'm sorry, your majesty, but you can't do this! You have to…"

DING-DONG!

"A ha! They're here!" River said before heading to the front door.

"Oh, boy." America said silently.

Within a short amount of time, the entire apartment was filled with royal figures and godlike entities from across different kingdoms. They were all chatting and mingling in the wide party setting River had set up.

Star and America struggled to get through the crowd. They were started by everything they were seeing, including a little man eating cake while upside down and two people drawing doodles on another man's face while he slept.

"Okay, Star, this has gone far enough!" America said. "You need to put your foot down at your padre!"

"I know." Star said. "I'll go find him. You…"

KNOCK-KNOCK!

America groaned. "I'll go make sure no one else comes to make a mess of this party."

Star left in one direction looking for her dad while America headed to her apartment door. She opened the door to speak to the person on the other side.

"Look, idiota, you better…"

America stopped when she spotted the person on the other side of the door. It was a girl around her age with dark skin. She had blue, wavy hair and a silver armor around her body.

"Whoa." America said feeling her heart skip a beat. "Sorry. I was just a little tired. Unfortunately, we're not accepting any more party guests."

"Party? I'm not here for a party." the blue-haired girl said. "I'm just here to pick up King River."

"You are?" America asked. "Who are you?"

"I'm Alloy of the royal army of Mewni. Queen Moon sent me here to pick up her husband." She glanced back at the party going on behind her. "I see he's made himself at home."

America sighed. "Yeah. No offense to your king, but he's getting hard to handle."

"No offense taken." Alloy said. "All the other knights have to deal with this all the time. My first day at squire training, I had to herd all his warnicorns into the stables. All thirty of them."

"You got off easy." America said. "I'm too afraid to go back to the minigolf course since he wrecked one of the holes and they might not forgive me."

"While Queen Moon was off on a diplomatic mission, the king threw a wild party, and afterwards, I was the only one who could clean it up since I was the only one not worn out."

"My bathroom is flooded because he wanted to flush everything in there."

"He kept me up all night trying to wrestle with the other knights."

"He did that to me too, but he wrestled with a clown!"

The two paused for a moment before bursting out in laughter. They kept it going for a minute before calming down.

"I guess having him around is impossible for both of us, huh?" America asked.

"DID SOMEBODY SAY IMPOSSIBLE?!"

All of a sudden, America and Alloy heard a loud voice and ducked right before they could get hit by a green-and-purple projectile that bounced into the apartment. Everyone stopped what they were doing and kept their heads low while the thing kept bouncing around. Finally, it stopped and landed on the floor to take its form.

With a popping sound, the projectile took the form of a green creature with a purple outfit on. He had a skinny body and a very pointy head.

"Hey, everybody! Where's the cake so I can slice it?" the green creature asked. Just then, he popped and changed into a giant knife floating around the air.

America and Alloy looked around and found Star keeping her head down along with River and King Pony Head.

"Star, what's going on?!" America asked.

"I don't know!" Star shouted before noticing the new guest. "Oh. Hey, Alloy."

"Hello, princess." Alloy greeted back.

"Oh, no. Not him." River groaned glaring angrily at the green shapeshifter who turned back into his humanoid form, picked up the cake, and stuffed it into his mouth. "Who invited the Impossible Man? That guy is the worst!"

"The Impossible Man?" America asked. "I've heard of him, but I thought he was just a myth."

"Oh, no. He's very real." River said. "A shapeshifting imp who travels throughout dimensions and being a real nuisance everywhere he goes. He makes a mess out of everything and is completely oblivious about it."

"Funny. I can weirdly relate." Star said glaring at her own father.

"Look! He's already randomly changing into the forms of all the other guests." River said in annoyance.

"So why don't you just kick him out?" Star asked. "Along with everyone else?"

"Kick out the Impossible Man? Impossible." River said. "Just do yourself a favor and stay away from him."

"

"I bet I can make him leave." America said cracking her knuckles.

"Wait, you don't have…" Alloy tried to warn, but America already flew away.

"Hey, string bean!" America said getting the Impossible Man's attention. "I think it's high time you leave!"

"But the party's still young!" the Impossible Man said. "And there's so many new people I want to meet!"

"I got someone you can meet." America said holding up her fist. "Annoying green man, meet Righty!"

With all her strength, she punched Impossible Man so hard, he hit the wall going flat upon impact. He fell off the wall still looking flat, so he placed his thumb into his mouth and blew on it hard until he inflated back to normal. He then looked at America with a smile.

"Ooh. I like this game. Let me play." The Impossible Man ran right at America and popped into the form of a bull which hit her hard enough to send her flying across the room. He laughed and looked around. "This was fun! Who else wants to play?"

All the other guests screamed and panicked running around. The Impossible Man shrugged and chased after them all while Star, River, and Alloy joined up with America, who groaned getting back up.

"You okay?" Star asked.

"A little." America said. "I'll feel even better though once I wring that jerk's neck."

"You don't have to." Alloy said. "I've actually studied the people in his home dimension. He just have to make him lose interest in this place. It may be hard, but I'm sure we can do it. And we can start by putting an end to this party."

"Whoa. Hold on." River interrupted. "We can't stop this party. There's still so much to do."

Star groaned loudly. "Dad, that's enough! This party was clearly a bad idea, and so was your decision to stay here!"

"What?" River asked stunned to hear this daughter say that. "But you were so excited to have me around."

"Yeah, but that was before made a mess of everything!" Star shouted. "You destroyed a golf course. You kept me up all night with your late-night brawls. And now, you decided to host this crazy party without me or America's permission! This is like a cosmic equivalent of getting a friend's socks wet!" Star then gasped as an idea hit her mind. "Wait a minute. That's it!"

"What's it?" Alloy asked.

"It's time to purge this party!" Star said conjuring up a pink, happy cloud for her to stand on.

Star hovered over the party readying her wand. With a quick wave, she made the entire apartment explode with water covering two-inches off the floor. Everyone groaned feeling their footwear getting soaked up and soggy. They were all so upset by the wet socks, they opened up their portals and left the apartment.

The Impossible Man looked around seeing everyone leave. He then looked down on his feet and felt the water soak up his purple boots. "Hmm. Well, I don't wear socks, but this is a pretty uncomfortable feeling. All right then. You guys win. I'll just pop on out of here. Hopefully, somewhere where I can be better welcome." With a snap of his fingers, he popped and vanished into thin air.

"That's going to be quite a dimension if they welcome someone like him." America said getting a giggle from Alloy.

In the aftermath of the ruined party, River took a moment to look around. He finally noticed all the messed up decorations and the flooded floors. He knew it all could have been avoided if he had been more considerate. He sat down on the couch while Star did the same.

"Wow. I really made a mess of things." River admitted. "Sweetheart, I perhaps got a little carried away. And I may have been a little inconsiderate. I guess that's why your mother threw me out in the first place. I'm sorry, you guys."

"Thankfully, despite your flaws, the queen still loves you." Alloy said. "That's why she sent me. Are you ready to come home and patch things up with your wife, your majesty?"

"Definitely." River said as he hugged Star. "I'll send my top serfs here to make everything better than new. I'll even cover the damages so your lord of lands isn't upset about it."

"Glad to hear that." America said. "And here, allow me to send you back to Mewni." She went on to punch a star portal in the middle of the room.

"Ah, yes. Great thanks, Ms. America." River said. "It's no wonder Alloy advised Moon and I to put Star in your care in the first place." He proceeded to leap through the portal.

"Wait, what?" America asked turning to Alloy. "Did he just say you're the reason Star's living with me?"

"Well, kinda." Alloy said with a bashful grin. "See, after the princess caused a bit of damage with her wand, the king and queen were discussing what to do with her. Queen Moon first suggested they send her to St. Olga's, but King River knew she'd never make it there. So they thought they would send her somewhere else, somewhere where she can practice learning about responsibility, but they still needed a teacher. I was in the room when they were talking and asked to speak up. They permitted me, and I told them how you've made a home here on Earth, and they thought you'd be perfect to help guide their daughter."

"Me?" America asked.

"Well, word of the Teen Brigade's heroics travels far, even to Mewni, the crown jewel of the Multiverse. So they thought that one of their members, a true hero, would be a perfect guide for Star to teach her about responsibility."

"Wow." America said with a smile. "So that's why the principal asked for me the day she came by. But wait, how did you know I was on Earth?"

Alloy smiled again. "Well, I may have been following your work. I'm a bit of a fan. Out of all the members of the Teen Brigade, I'd say you're my favorite."

America smiled back. "Aw. That's sweet. So how about you head on back to Mewni and… Well, who knows? Maybe I'll see you around some time."

"Yeah. Maybe." Alloy said before walking through the star portal.

After Alloy left, America closed the portal and turned around seeing Star grinning admirably at her. "Aww! That was so cute! You were having a moment, weren't you?!"

"Shut up." America chuckled.

"Okay." Star said. "And hey, sorry about all the crazy surprises I spring on you. From now on, I'll always give you a heads up."

"Thanks," America said, "But a surprise is good every once in a while. Wouldn't you agree?"

America surprised Star by giving her a slight push that send her falling into the water. She then shared a laugh with her before diving down to swim with her and ride on dolphins.
